PMDG has recently announced a release date for the PMDG 737-800 for MSFS 2024 over on their forums and Facebook page.

PMDG will release the 737-800 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on December 18th, 2023, after 17:00 Zulu (12:00 Eastern Time), according to PMDG’s Robert Randazzo.

The aircraft represents a ground-up rebuild for MSFS 2024, featuring significant upgrades over the previous generation:

Visual Improvements:

Redesigned virtual cockpit with advanced material rendering

LIDAR-scanned model updates for enhanced accuracy

New lighting system and surface textures throughout

Audio Overhaul:

Completely new 3D sound set

Engineered by professional sound team

Led by PMDG’s sound engineer, a qualified 737 captain with extensive real-world flight hours

So, what else is there to know..

What will it cost?

It will be “in line with previous products, but will be finalized upon release”

Is there a discount for Previous Owners? –

“Yes. Will we be offering a substantial discount to both PMDG and Marketplace customers of our MSFS 2020 737 Products. The discount will be the same for all four 737 products and for all customers whether they come to us from PMDG.com or MS Marketplace

It is also stated the other variants will be released in this order –

737-600 & 737-900 – January

737-700 – February

747 – “When it is finished :-)”

Regarding the 777 updates and sounds, it was mentioned they have pulled all dev resources off the 777 in order to get the 737 finished. They also changed tasks on the sound team back in October to facilitate the 737 release and allow more time to collect some 777 recordings that they were not satisfied with. Now that the 737-800 is nearing release, resources have been put back to the 777 so they can clean up some loose ends and address the sound update etc. You can currently expect more 777 progress updates in January.

Passenger2 has rolled out a major compatibility update for its flagship product, Passenger2x, just one month after its surprise launch in September 2025. The latest update brings full official support for Prepar3D, X-Plane, and FSX, achieved through seamless telemetry integration using FSUIPC and XPUIPC.

Initially released after eight months of private development and with no prior public teasers, Passenger2x set itself apart by debuting advanced features like AI-driven airline operations, detailed custom seat maps, loyalty systems, and comprehensive policy management. These standout elements quickly made it a favourite among simmers seeking data-driven airline simulation well beyond basic immersion.

The newest compatibility update is available now through the Passenger2 Manager. For newcomers, Passenger2x can be purchased directly from the official website, with flexible options including a single one-time license or a new monthly subscription, designed in response to community requests for greater accessibility. There is still currently a launch discount if you have not purchased their products before.

With expanded simulator support and ongoing feature development, Passenger2x continues to cement itself as an essential tool for flight simulation enthusiasts looking to add true airline management depth across all major sim platforms.

We’ve also reworked the block time slider, it now has shorter minimums and a wider range (up to 6 hours). Plus, a pile of quality-of-life fixes and stability improvements.

Passenger2x Build 10102501 Release Notes
Added FSUIPC/XPUIPC support for Prepar3D, X-Plane, FSX,
Block time slider now supports a 6-hour range,
Improved custom seat map validation to prevent missing galley/boarding positions,
Added ticketing value checks to avoid setup crashes,
Fixed disembarking crash if passenger is in restroom after unsecured landing,
Fixed crash when removing custom audio after saving flight setup,
Fixed crash when disarming doors before crew finishes securing,
Fixed Beechcraft Baron disembark crash with default seat map,
Fixed crew group showing wrong group when editing route,
Fixed bank loan not clearing after full repayment,
Fixed catering serving wrong items when menu order is not default,
Fixed language selection not saving,
Fixed bank transactions not displaying after UI language change,
Fixed “Not at airport” alert bleeding off screen,
Fixed ground speed showing IAS when using km/h,
Fixed “Late” and “On Time” status overlapping after landing,
Fixed various rare CTDs during flight setup, announcements, catering, air miles, crew assignment, and schedule view
