Hello

After a few months of resolving technical difficulties the website is fully functioning. Things to look forward to in the future are online schedule/booking system and singing lesson offers. Please subscribe for all the latest updates and follow Mark’s Vocal Studio on twitter @ https://twitter.com/VocalFoundation.

The next piece of news is so exciting. This weekend the studio is moving to West 4th Avenue/Dunbar in the fantastic area of Kitsilano, centrally located for access from Downtown/UBS and all of the Lower Mainland. If you’re based elsewhere, the joy of technology allows me to teach you via Skype from anywhere in the world with a high-speed internet connection and webcam/mic.

The new space will expand on the current studio and will allow Mark’s Vocal Studio students to have access to Professional Recording equipment. When students are ready there’ll be an opportunity to lay down vocals on a backing track for a demo or just for fun. The first time in a recording studio can be intimidating so now part of your practice can include this to make the leap a little easier.

I’ve attended songwriting seminars with a number of top lecturers from Pat Pattison (Berklee College of Music/Songwriting Coach to John Mayer) and had the pleasure of writing sessions with the likes of Jason Blume (BackStreet Boys/Britney Spears). Students of Mark’s Vocal Studio have access to songwriting assistance and in the new studio space could see this through to a recorded demo.

I’d also like to give a shout out to Nigel Fearon Photography @ www.nigelfearon.ca . I met Nigel a few weeks ago through some friends on a cabin trip. When I saw the amazing photographs he took of that weekend I was desperate to get some shots taken with him. We had the most fun on a shoot all over Vancouver and my headshot on my page Mark’s Vocal Studio is from that day. I’ll be using more of the images in the future but in the meantime go check out Nigel’s fantastic portfolio and if you need any promo/head shots he’s your guy!

All in all it’s an exciting time. Please feel free to message me/comment/follow. Keep in touch and have fun singing!
