Hi everyone, unfortunately I’m having to take a bit of a break from Sin Titulo for the next few weeks – I’ve been snowed under with work on Prince of Persia and Batman & Robin, and I’m about to leave on a signing tour in Europe and the UK very soon. I literally have no free time and so I’m officially suspending Sin Titulo until I get back into a more comfortable schedule in December. Huge apologies, I know I’m leaving this at a suspenseful moment but hopefully that will just provide you with incentive to come back when I start the strip up again.

Hi everyone, sorry for the missing update last week – I was really busy trying to finish off issue 7 of Batman & Robin (out in January) and was working so hard that I actually forgot about doing a Sin Titulo strip until it was too late! Embarrassing, but that’s what happened.

Very big news this week, as you have noticed by the banner at the top, Sin Titulo took home a 2009 Joe Shuster Award for Best Webcomic. I was unable to attend the ceremony but my good friend Andy Belanger, creator of TX’s Raising Hell, accepted the award on my behalf. Video of his (funny) acceptance can be seen here. Thanks very much everyone involved with the Shusters!

This week’s strip is partially inspired by the scene in Poltergeist 2 in which Craig T. Nelson vomits up the tentacle monster, which was one of the most unsettling things I saw as a kid. I haven’t seen the movie since then but the horror of that scene has always stuck with me.

Hi everyone, big exciting news this week as it’s finally been announced that I will be working on DC Comics’ hugely popular Batman & Robin series, pairing up with Grant Morrison yet again. There have been a lot of people who have come to check out Sin Titulo for the first time this week because of the news, so hello and welcome and I hope you enjoy the story! Sin Titulo is a very different project than Batman & Robin so don’t be surprised by the shift in art style. If you’re a regular reader of Sin Titulo but are unfamiliar with my print comics work, you can see my Batman & Robin beginning in December.

Hi everyone, the Toronto Fan Expo was a blast, thanks to everyone who came out and said hello and told me they were reading Sin Titulo. For the first time I think I had nearly as many people tell me they were fans of this strip as ones who are fans of my print comics work, which is extremely flattering and gratifying, so thank you very much! There should be a convention report going up on txcomics.com fairly soon, and the recording of the Webcomics 101 panel should be available soon also.

We also did a lot of talking about the future of TX and there should be some exciting changes and advancements in the coming months. One of the things I’m going to try my best to do is to always have something up on this site every week, even if I don’t have a new strip ready, so you may be seeing more of the work-in-progress, if you find that sort of thing interesting.

Hosted by the TX Comics crew, it’s going to be a fun and hopefully informative discussion about how to create your own webcomics. Come along and bring a friend! Hey there everyone, I’m back after a few weeks. I just wanted to take a moment to talk about the infrequency of my updates to this strip. As many of you know in addition to working on this webcomic, I also have quite a busy career in mainstream print comics. At the moment I am working on two major projects, a Prince of Persia graphic novel for Disney Publishing and another very significant project for DC Comics (they tell me I can’t reveal what it is just yet). I do Sin Titulo for my own personal enjoyment and edification, and while I am extremely grateful to those of you who have been kind enough to use the donation button on the right, it’s not enough for me to earn a living from it, and so unfortunately there come times when I must prioritize the work that I get paid to do. This, coupled with the occasional out-of-town comic conventions and events that I attend, means that I’m not always able to get a strip done each week. Since this is also a very personal work for me I would rather not compromise the quality and rush it just for the sake of having one done. I must thank everyone for your patience and tolerance, and fortunately I haven’t received any nasty demanding emails like I’ve seen directed at some of my other colleagues. I love working on Sin Titulo and I absolutely have no desire to abandon it, so don’t worry about that. It’s just not always going to be every week. I’ll try to make the delays as infrequent as I can, however.

Now that’s out of the way, the San Diego Comic Con was a blast this year and thanks to everyone who visited me and said they’ve been reading Sin Titulo, it’s very gratifying to hear that rather than the usual requests to draw Green Lantern. I did a really fun panel called Making Webcomics with Kwanza Johnson and Ron Perazza of Zuda Comics, Molly Crabapple and Kevin Colden, which was recorded and made available to listen to here. Next up is the Toronto Fan Expo at the end of August, so I hope to see some of you there!
