this is a test to use the canon 7d as an electronic telescope to watch into space. the lens that i used in this test was the canon zoom lens EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 III

Canon EOS 7D Telescope

i conected the camera via HDMI on my 28″ Full HD screen to preview in liveview mode.
it works realy good and you have the choice to capture what you see with the 7d – video or photo.

here is an example photo that i made this morning.

now i think about to buy an 2x teleconverter to extend the zoom on the lens.

impressionsbilder vom 24-05-2010 in großenhain als an diesem tag ein tornado sein unheil brachte. wir saßen gerade bei kaffee und kuchen als es plötzlich innerhalb von wenigen sekunden anfing extrem zu hageln und ein extremer wind vorherrschte. die hagel”körner” in unserem viertel hatte die größe von golfbällen. das war bislang das schlimmste unwetter das ich persönlich je miterlebt habe. wobei es im vergleich zum stadtkern bzw. nördlichen stadtrand noch relativ glimpflich ausging. ich bin mit meinem kollegen nach dem unwetter durch die stadt gelaufen und gefahren – es sah wahrlich aus wie nach einem invasionsangriff. ein nachbardorf (walda – kleinthiemig) soll es noch schlimmer erwischt haben.

einige der bilder waren auch in diversen beiträgen im MDR, RBB, ZDF und bei RTL zu sehen.

vor 2 monaten habe ich diesen film gemacht (The old MiG 17)  und nach dem tornado in großenhain sieht der jet so aus (Foto der MiG 17)  ! einfach nur traurig !

Kupferberg Großenhain

dieses video zeigt das ausmaß der zerstörung des waldes auf dem kupferberg in großenhain, nachdem am 24-05-2010 ein tornado darüber zog. die bilder beginnen am nördlichen waldrand, durch den wald durch bis zur gastätte am kupferberg und einer übersicht vom turm der gastätte.

in this short tutorial i will show you how you can easily set up your DFocus Pro Lens Gear on the little nice and cheap Canon 50mm f/1.8 II lens.
it is tricky to do the lense gear on this thin focus ring. but there is a simple solution to fix that.

ja auch scheitern muss man mal ! da hat man mal ne absolut fantastisch klare nacht ! absolut fantastischer mond mit sichel und venus alles drum und dran. man stellt die cam auf um davon einen zeitraffer zu machen und schwubbs – da war die cam aus. und warum ? na weil die akkus sowieso immer im falschen moment leer sind :/ ! aber es ist dann eben schön wenn einer aus der twitternden dslr gang das selbe vor hatte und aber an wolken scheitert ! effektive ausbeute von uns beiden – ca. 2 einhalb sekunden zeitraffer !

i slow the whole final edit down to 85% of the original speed. this also transposed down the music. so it comes in a more dramatic look and feel i think.
