Key & Peele "I said Bitch"

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Sat, 03 Mar 2012 00:49:00 +0000

Im a huge fan of Comedy, so if someone was to say Comedy Central is one of the greatest things ever in existence... I'd probably say "Hell the fuck yea"! The best thing about Comedy Central (other than airing classic comedy movies) is their original shows (Produced/Created by Comedy Central). Shows like:"Crank Yankers", "Reno 911", "The Chappelle Show", "Chocolate News", and probably the most famous show of them all "South Park" (You may of heard of it...). The next great show to come from

CC is "Key and Peele"

HardSpittahs- I Dont Giva Fuck (Produced By Mr.Robinson)

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Wed, 29 Feb 2012 07:56:00 +0000

This instrumental was produced maybe a year ago. The guitar part was played by my friend "Dan Diamond", the loop sounded great. Added drums, and synths via Logic Pro

and PropellerHeads Record. I mixed the instrumental in ProTools, which differs from

my past mixing DAW of choice, Logic. Its one of my favorites, plus its one of the tracks from my mixtape (Vol.3). Hope you enjoy theinstrumental. Below is a video of thefinished song with vocals provided by Bay Area Rap group "The Hardspittahs" (Mixed by group member "YungQuis").

They made a hit!

So I mess with the HardSpittahs!

A talented group of rappers located in Richmond, California (The Bay).

Members include "YungQuis", "Leroy Mackin", "Playa-B", "Ether", and

"MLB Dave". Every one of them have talent, glad to work with them.

Ill be posting more music from them, not only my favorites, but other

tracks (promo). Shot out to #PayperMovement and Wyld Wayne!

Have Gun Will Travel

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Wed, 29 Feb 2012 06:16:00 +0000

Been a long time right!!!??

But anyway im back!!

Since my absence I've started "instrumental mixtapes", the track above is the last song from the first of three mixtapes (fully finished). This track in particular, is one that I

cant sell, unfortunately for legality reasons. Im am, however, will still use this track on

my mixtape. I like the hell out of this track, to say the least. From making this track by hand, or by sampler (NNXT Baby!). All the way to hearing that final product mixed by

my homey Dj.CAPSIZE.... BTW, Dj.CAPSIZE did a hell of a job on mixing my mixtape. Despite feeling I could mix it myself, I trusted my project with CAPSIZE, and he did a

damn good job, better than I could've done. For that I thank him

(My shit translates kid).

So heres the process...

My family are big fans of "Speghetti Westerns", and it rubbed off on me. My favorite of

them all is "Have Gun Will Travel". Richard Boone is an awesome actor, especially with

his portrayal of "Paladin" was amazing. Most of the lead characters were either rugged,

"hands in the dirt" type of men. Or rugged, "Too clean to get dirty" type of men. Paladin was both! Paladin was rich, dressed snappy, had all the ladies, and refined. On the flip side, he would normally go on month long desert stake outs. Jump off of horses to catch a criminal, dive in a lake to get away. Dude didn't mind getting his expensive attire dirty.

He had that traditional "bad ass" cowboy attitude, would fight you in a second, but shoot you even faster. Never backed down, and always handled problems with integrity, honor and respect. Best of all, he's from the "Yay area" People. Paladin hails from

San Francisco!! Boom!

Paladin was a "Gun for Hire"...Dont take that term out of context, this guy

would not take a job if it was immoral. He states all the time that he's not a assassin,

he's not going to kill in revenge. He's more of a Vigilante of sorts. If you can pay, and

its right, you have a hired gun. Paladin was respected all over the nation, especially respected with banks (They all knew him, he has dough). The two video's above are

the actual video's I sampled to produce this song. I used PropellerHeads Record only!!

Again, this track was ridiculously fun, from the beginning stages to the final mix. Its a project that Im more than proud of. For those "Speghetti Western" fans out there... Hope you enjoy it. I've got great reviews on this track, I'll agree with the most common

comment, it is "Creative". Thanks for listening!!

PS: Im back baby!!

More post's coming soon, this year will be a busy one.

Grace Alley- Flat Black

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Wed, 29 Feb 2012 02:41:00 +0000

Presented above is a song I mixed for my "Advance Mixing Techniques" class...

The file was dubbed "Grace Alley", my teacher (Michael Rosen) said in class today the

title of the song is "Flat Black"... Hence the title above (for the time being)...

Grace Alley- Flat Black

Its definitely "Punk", The band is definitely talented.

I was eager to mix it after I pressed play, and heard how every thing all ready

sounded good unmixed (the engineer was dope). Which made my task even easier.

The hard part was learning how to mix a different way, the "Michael Rosen" way.

Which I've come to see his style makes mixing fun (no shit),

and easy to take a look inside and outside of the overall picture that is the final

mix (really... No shit!). Im getting it, thankfully Im older, and willing to listen.

Been a minute since the last post, Im back though...

New tracks coming for 2k12!!

BTW, my sister got me hooked on UFC,

Plus she's a huge fan of the President.

This for C.A.

Hustle Anthem

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Wed, 17 Nov 2010 21:05:00 +0000

So my Birthday is next week (Nov.25, Go Sagittarius).

This is my pre-Birthday present because I love the shit out

of this instrumental!

I love it so much that I broke one of my most

SACRED rules...

"Don't get high on your own supply"

This track was originally produced generally to sell,

I was putting together another catalog.

By the time I was finished mixing, a bad ass hook was created,

shortly after the verse came.

This will be an early present to myself.

Rick Ross ft. Styles-P: Blowin $$$ Fast

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Thu, 28 Oct 2010 08:16:00 +0000

"Blowin Money Fast" by Rick Ross featuring Styles-P is too ridiculous.

Instant classic, one of my favorite songs of all time, bru-heem killed it.

"I got that Archie Bunker, and its all white,

I just might charge ya double"

The beat is crazy, last but not least...

Styles-P's verse was perfect for this song.

"Did I mention guns from, Red Dead Redemption
Nine mils, fifty clip extensions"

From what I hear, Ricky was a fat "Cop", basically!

(Dont fux with da Po-Po)

But I fux with this song!!

"Lifted"

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Sat, 23 Oct 2010 00:47:00 +0000

This is the last track I've made with my old Akai Mpc 1000...

Good Times, but sold it!

Reason "Rewired" with Logic has noticeable lag time.

Nevertheless, I found a way around that,

mostly used synths.

Drums, and a Ludacris sample was added using the MPC.

I liked the machine...

Will not miss it!

I love being able to "see" what Im doing (DAW).

Online, Follow, Request, etc...

TR.82310

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Fri, 08 Oct 2010 22:45:00 +0000

I started this track some time back in Feb. 2010. Decided to finish

over my break, and did. I've mixed it a couple of times, had problems

with the BPM. Thanks to ProTools8 "Elastic Audio" I was able to correct

the problem. Originally I had the Reason4 file, with MIDI notes.

But Hard Drives crash, and I lost some shit!

Thankfully I bounced everything down, and place it in

a different server.

S.O.R.H. (School of Rock-Hop)

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Thu, 09 Sep 2010 07:27:00 +0000

I deem this... "School of Rock Hop" for obvious reasons.

Produced exclusively in Logic, fist time in a long

time I've done that.

This track is for sale, "playa price"!

"Stripper Track"

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Wed, 04 Aug 2010 07:31:00 +0000

Long time coming for this track.

The blueprint for this track has been laid down for months.

I've created maybe 5 different versions of this track, each one better than the last...

This is the last!

Cant figure out how to get this Arturia plug in to show up in ProTools,

(Its RTAS compatible, blah, blah, Troubleshoot, blah)

it just wont .

And Reason rewired w/ Logic is not smooth as, Reason rewired w/ ProTools.

To Keep it short, I had to do too much for this track.

The outcome is what I wanted.

"Pole Dancing" is art right?

THIS TRACK IS ALSO POSTED ON THE OFFICIAL

MR.ROBINSON FACEBOOK FANPAGE.

Transformation Track

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Fri, 16 Jul 2010 00:53:00 +0000

Another attempt to try hella shit went well... Again.

For some odd reason this plugin I just bought will

not show up in ProTools. And yes, its R.T.A.S/AU/VST compatible.

These couple of synth's were must have!

Plus I used some old sampled synth's I had from my OpenLabs Miko.

So I had to do allot of rewire, bouncing, and remixing.

Sounds pretty good, thinking about having a rocker do the hook for me.

Jay-Z feat. Pharrell Williams "Ambitious"

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Mon, 28 Jun 2010 20:17:00 +0000

My sis "C.A." says this song reminds her of me...

Well... The Neptunes heavily influenced my career....

And Jay-Z is a Sagittarius, same as me.

We Think (Alike).

This is one of my favorite songs by Jay-Z, because its what I was going through.

When I first started making beats at 15 (and some years after),

people were constantly telling me what I could not do.

Mostly based on what they did not accomplish...

"Alright But"

For hella long there has been a belief that the Bay Area would

never have success again when it comes to commercial music.

E-40 proved that theory wrong....

We support ourselves here in the bay... So its hood.

"The streets is A&R'n us"

Now a nigga making some money off this production shit.

What cant I do now??

All that shit is "Motivation"!!

Golden State Warriors 2K

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Fri, 18 Jun 2010 03:47:00 +0000

Old Warriors Logo....

Which served its purpose for that time period.

The Warriors clearly have a new team, new attitude,

and most importantly, a new path that they are headed.

(From Yahoo Sports "Balls Dont Lie")

This is the new Warriors logo...

I love the new look, we are in the year 2010 right??.

What I love most about this logo is

the "Bay Bridge", which symbolizes... "The Bay".

After leaving Philly, the Warriors started out in

San Francisco, then moved across the bridge to (East) Oakland.

Football wise, in the Bay Area,

there are two completely different teams.

The 49ERS are more conservative, the RAIDERS...

Well not so (Lol). The situation between the two

is territorial, its beef, its War, its not good.

(New Jersey's from what I've seen on SLAM)

Basketball in the Bay is much different.

Bay Area basketball fans, for the most part, are unified...

Its all about the Warriors!

So this is a present from the Warriors to its fans in the Bay Area.

B.O.B ft Bruno Mars "Nothin on You"

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Wed, 16 Jun 2010 04:40:00 +0000

This is a great song by B.O.B, and the talented Bruno Mars!

The whole "Leaders of the new Kool" mixtape is the shit...

I am always impressed by (My 2nd favorite Hip-Hop artist) Wale.

But B.O.B did the damn thang, especially with "Magic",

which will be posted shortly.

Above is the song from the Mixtape,

Ragz2Riches: Mr.Robinson Throwback Track

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Tue, 15 Jun 2010 05:19:00 +0000

Originally posted on "Mr.Robinson Beats"

(I dont know If I will ever post anything new on that blog again. @$IR replaced it)...

This is a throwback!

Been a minute since I've heard it, past by it on my Ipod,

and remembered I never posted it on this blog.

This was kind of a practice track, I was basically trying to see

how fast it would take to produce a quality track.

It took a little less than an hour to complete.

I sampled Jay-Z's "99 Problems", and triggered those samples using Apple's

LogicPro's "EXS-24". This track was exclusively produced using Logic...

Enjoy kids!

ChabotCollege BigBand Mix1

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Sat, 05 Jun 2010 07:16:00 +0000

This is the first recording from the "Chabot BigBand Session's"

we did this semester.

My instructor Eric Shultz (Cool cat...The pic says it all), collaborated with

Chabot's Jazz InstructorJon Palacio...

And here we have a solid mix.

Like the "BigBand Mix2" below, I've mixed this track a couple times,

a lil less for this track.

Love the experience, most of all I love mixing the audio.

This performance was recorded in one of my

classes at Chabot College.

A collaboration by two great instructors Eric Schultz, and Jon Palacio.

"Im From Da Town"

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Sat, 05 Jun 2010 02:13:00 +0000

The title of this track is "Im From Da Town"...

Im really juiced about the development of this song.

Especially because Im pushin it all over the south this summer.

And I love nothing more than representing the Bay, and Oakland.
