Re-Introducing aMember Pro

The originator of this whole membership website software thing. Way before WordPress became the most widely used Blogging and CMS platform and over a dozen WordPress membership plugins popped up, aMember was the go-to software for powering membership websites.

The competition has gotten very stiff in the past few years and you can go out and find many different choices for what you need, but just because they’re more choices doesn’t mean choosing has become any easier. I’ve been running my WordPress powered membership website (Mixtapes.tv) for almost two years now via Wishlist Member and I always find my self wanting more options and not being able to get them. WishlistMember is one of the best WordPress membership plugins available and it’s still lacking.

If your in the planning stages of building a membership website, here’s a few things that’s going to become an issue once your site starts becoming more popular.

Subscription Management

When I first started I had a handful of paid customers paying me via PayPal which is the number one 3rd party payment processor and the most customizable, it’s fast and easy to setup and you can withdraw the money to your bank account whenever you want. The only problem with them is that they have no way for paid members to cancel their subscription unless they have a PayPal account, which many don’t. So they would have to contact me to do it manually, this isn’t a problem when you have a handful of members – Once I made it to 200+ members it started to become a task because I would start getting membership cancellation request daily, and once I got up the 500+ members it became very difficult to manage all the requests. Some Days it would be 20+ requests, I would then have to find the member’s info, then log into PayPal and search for the member and cancel the subscription. This can easily turn into a hours worth of work.

Guess What? Most 3rd party payment processors don’t offer the option to allow users to cancel their subscriptions automatically, trust me I’ve called most of them to check. The only 2 I’m aware of is Plimus and payment gateway Authorize.net, which is the number one way to accept payments online. Currently Authorize.net processes $1 in every $4 spent online in the US, so you would think that most membership software would support these 2 payment processors, but 90% of them don’t and the ones that do don’t offer the Authorize.net CIM (Customer Information manager) feature that allows paid customers to control their subscription.

The veteran aMember software has kept up with the times and has made many changes, one of the biggest changes it’s made is that it’s now a fully integrated with WordPress by default so there is no need to buy an additional plugin. So it’s a membership website software and WordPress membership plugin at the same time, the only of it’s kind and it’s also the only one that supports both Plimus and Authorize.net with the CIM feature.

And of course they support all the other usual suspects such as 1ShoppingCart, 2Checkout, ClickBank, PayPal / PayPal Website Payments Pro, SWReg, WorldPay, and Zombaio for those of you who want to run adult membership websites, aka porn sites, lol.

Another problem you will come across when running a membership site especially if your using WordPress is compatibility issues, all plugins are not created equally and they all don’t all play nice together. I can almost guarantee you will run into some sort of issue with compatibility, aMember has an advantage because it’s not actually a WordPress membership plugin and doesn’t operate like a standard WordPress membership plugin and thus doesn’t mess up other plugins you might be using on your site.

Also a big problem with most membership website software, is the lack of a API or custom integration interface. This is so necessary when it comes to building a membership website because everyone requires different things for their websites.

Wishlist Member is the only WordPress membership plugin that has a really useful API. aMember has a full custom integration interface if you want to build customize functions for your website.

Currently I’m in the process of moving over to aMember and Authorize.net to achieve full website automation.

Get aMember Pro.

This is the 5th and final part of the Website Building guide for beginners, if this is the first thing your reading from this guide Then I suggest you go to the How to Build a Website for Beginners page and start from the beginning. In this final guide I’ll cover the 5 ways to make money with your website or blog, the list is organized by how I first started to make money online to where I am now.

So lets get right into

1. Contexual Advertising

This is how I first started making money online, and this is where 90% of you will start. Basically contextual advertising is where a advertising network places text or image base ads on your site and they pay whenever someone clicks on any of the adds, or they pay you according to CPM which stands for Cost Per every Thousand Impressions, which basically means they pay you a certain amount for every thousand hits your website receives. CPM is the standard measuring metric in the advertising industry.

One of the most popular contextual advertising services is Google Adsense, people have literally made millions of dollars with this program and for the first 2 years of my business this was my main source of income. Later on I started using services like Adbrite (use to be good, they suck now), BlogAds (Don’t get me started), Kontera (They suck ass), Vibrant Media, & InfoLinks (They’re awesome).

2. Affiliate Marketing

According to Wikipedia: Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought about by the affiliate’s own marketing efforts. The industry has four core players: the merchant (also known as ‘retailer’ or ‘brand’), the network (that contains offers for the affiliate to choose from and also takes care of the payments), the publisher (also known as ‘the affiliate’), and the customer. The market has grown in complexity to warrant a secondary tier of players, including affiliate management agencies, super-affiliates and specialized third party vendors.

Affiliate Marketing aka performance based marketing is the second way I started making money online, I always knew about it but unlike contextual advertising where you simply place ads on your site and get paid for clicks, this takes more effort but in most cases you’ll make ten times the income you could with contextual advertising. In the performance marketing space I make most of my money promoting ringtones offers, as well as web hosting but they’re literally thousands of affiliate offers out there that could possibly be a good fit for your site. Unfortunately it’s going to take more than this one paragraph to explain the ins and outs of affiliate marketing, that’s a whole other article all together.

3. Direct Advertising

Direct advertising is where a webmaster (that would be you) sells ad space on his or her website directly to an advertiser (no middle man), usually most websites don’t start out making money this way because this method requires your site to be well established and have a substantial amount of traffic. On my site iHipHopMusic.com, it wasn’t until I started getting of 700,000 unique visitors a month did I start attracting advertisers to my site. Direct advertising can make you the most money when it comes to advertising, because you have full control over how much you get paid.

This is now how I make most of my money online now, this method requires allot more work than contextual advertising or affiliate marketing and if you don’t know what your doing you could end up loosing money. I wrote a very in depth article on How To Sell Advertising On Your WordPress Blog or Website.

4. Subscriptions

Making money with a subscription / membership based product or service is one of the best ways to make money online, as long as you have a product or service that truly adds value to your users then your set. Running a membership website is my latest venture into making money online, with my site Mixtapes.tv. Now here’s how I add value with this service, downloading mixtapes online is very easy and you can do at a bunch of different places, so why would they pay on on site to do it?

They won’t, so what I do is offer this service for free with a bunch of extra features to make the service more useful than other services – once I’ve done that then I go even further by offering some more advanced features that users find to be very convenient and are willing to part ways with a small fee for them, usually these features should be unique to your service but it’s not always necessary though you should always aim to be unique. This is how I’ve managed to have 500 users paying me $5.99 per month on a site that’s less than 2 years old. This is what you would called Freemium (Free + Premium) business model.

5. Sell A Product

I’ll be honest with you, I have yet to make any money online selling my own product, I simply haven’t come up with a product I think is worth selling. I’m not just going to create a bullshit product because it’s going to put money in my pocket, it has to be something I would use my self.

That being said this the number one way to make money online, and the most profitable because you have control of everything. When you have your own product, you can advertise on Google Adwords which will display your ads on websites displaying Gooogle Adsense contextual advertising. You can start your own affiliate program and have affiliate marketers promoting your product via affiliate marketing. In addition you can also advertising on websites via direct advertising.

See how it’s all connected? This is also the same with selling a subscription based service. In most cases 123 lead back to 4 & 5 to purchase some sort of product or service.

That my fried is how you get er done….

This wraps up the Website Building Guide creating a profitable website, but it’s not done yet – check out more useful articles on the site.

Thanks for reading.

They’re two ways I’ve been getting both traffic and backlinks to my website, one is with the use of SEO Link Monster and the other is BlogGlue – in this post I’ll be talking about BlogGlue and how it has increased backlinks and traffic to my site simultaneously.

If your a blogger this is definitely a service you should check out, for one it’s free and two it’s completely automated. I came across BlogGlue through using the popular WordPress plugin YARPP WordPress plugin.

Basically what the service does allow you to network with other bloggers, from around the web. Bloggers join each others’ networks and their blog posts get syndicated to other blogs throughout the bloggers’ blogs within your network.

BlogGlue doesn’t just randomly rotate blog posts to your blog, they find the best blog posts that’s most related to your blog posts. This increases traffic to your site, I’ve been using the free service on SiteBuilderTips for about a month now an it’s been really helpful, below is a screenshot of the BlogGlue stats dashboard.

For those who’ve been reading this blog for a while, you already know I do my thing when it comes to marketing on Facebook. I can get pretty much get anybody to like anything on Facebook, except for one of my websites which is ComeWatchMe.com – for the life of me I just couldn’t get the likes to increase on the Come Watch Me Facebook page, the same way I’ve done with iHipHopMusic.com and Mixtapes.tv.

The Facebook page is almost 3 years old and upon until last month it only had 1500 likes, I did all the same steps I’ve done before with my other pages such as adding a like box to my site, marketing it on Facebook, and running contests but the page simple wouldn’t take off. Basically ComeWatchMe.com is the only site I had that wasn’t getting traffic from Social Media, just Google search.

All that changed a week ago with the help of a little tool that I came across called Facebook Traffic Pop, but before I talk about that – let me show you the previous 3 weeks in February before I implemented this tool.

Week 1

Week 2

Week 3

Week 4 (Look at the improvement)

Do you see the difference? That’s almost a 500% increase in new “likes” within one week, it’s pretty cool. As you can see in the snapshot below Come Watch Me even out performed both Hip Hop Music Dot Com and Mixtapes.TV which both get 10 times more traffic than Come Watch Me.

So What’s The Tool?

Facebook Traffic Pop is a little WordPress plugin I stumbled across on CodeCanyon, this little plugin has change the course of ComeWatchMe.com in 1 week and has almost doubled the traffic. The concept isn’t new, it’s basically a pop-up jquery box that appears when a user visits your website, similar to those pop-up boxes that show up when you want get someone to subscribe to a newsletter.

It basically asks the visitor to like your Facebook fan page before they can view your page or wait for a certain time period which you can set.

They are a bunch of different features to customize the plugin but what worked for me the best is the following:

Set the time to 25 seconds, this time limit was most effective for me.

Do not give them a close button, this way they can’t exit out.

Set it so that the pop-up keeps coming back until they finally like your page, this one depends on how much you want inconvenience your visitors verses how you want to increase your Facebook page “likes” – for the first week I didn’t give them an option they either had to like my page or they couldn’t view the content. This worked very well, but I’ve changed this to only show to popup once every week now – the likes have slowed down but still 10x better than before I started using the plugin.

I did that because some visitors won’t have Facebook accounts, but it’s a small number. Keep in mind 1 in every 9 people in the world have a Facebook account and 1 in every 7 minutes spent online is accounted to Facebook, which means at least 50% of the people who visit your site will be a Facebook user.

Keeps those statistics in mind when using this tool.

Facebook Traffic doesn’t only work with WordPress, there is also a Standalone version which can work on any site.

Check out Facebook Pop for WordPress or Facebook Traffic Pop for any other website.

Thanks for reading…

I really fucking hate internet marketers and their bullshit, week after week these shitty products keep coming down the pipeline each of them calling all the other internet marketing products garbage.

I’m going to give you a review you won’t find anywhere else – a real one. Commission Killer is just another one of those bullshit plug and play products where they say you don’t have to do any real work, there’s usually about 10 of those every year.

So here’s what it does in detail.

1. You enter a keyword and your affiliate links and then click a button.

2. The software will automatically build WordPress websites for you around each keyword you provide.

3. The software finds keywords for you and loads them into the site.

4. It also finds the hottest products on ClickBank and places them into your site, pardon me while I gasp at the sheer originality and epicness (Not a real word) of such a feature -_-

That’s basically it guys, not much more to it than that – oh and the product is not $46 guys, that’s just the entry price followed by two upsells (I hate that shit) listed below.

Virtual Assistant Cash Creators ($146)
– In this, you will get one of his personal super profitable copy and paste campaigns every week; complete with related niche PLR articles and SEO intelligence. I will highly recommend you to buy this upsell.

Turbo Traffic Toolkit ($77) – This upsell as the name says, offers you traffic generation software and training materials which you can easily use to increase targeted traffic for your affiliate campaigns. Since it is an affordable upsell, I will recommend you to take it.

In other words the real product actually costs $269, for bullshit. For that type of money you can go purchase a real information guide on how to really make money on the internet.

This is not a real way to build a business and anyone who tries to market this industry as a plug and play, 1 click and your done, sit back and wait for the money – is an asshole. Do you think a year from now this product or the crap it creates will be something you can call a actual business? No it won’t!

To build a real business like what I’ve done with the Covanant (Totally shameless) takes real work to have money coming in every single month without fail…

I’m glad ClickBank is so great with refunds, I always buy these products to see what there about so I can give you guys real reviews because you won’t find a single site giving one. Keep your $269 or if you already purchased it get a refund, ClickBank is known for giving very quick refunds no questions asked which is good since they have so many shitty products.

Stay away from this garbage, no affiliate links here. I only promote real products.

Deuces!

Is SEO Link Monster worth your time?

If you’ve read any of my articles or reviews in the past then you are already aware that I’m not big on recommending too many products from the Internet marketing scene. In fact there’s about 5 people I respect and trust in that industry, and that number is even less when comes to SEO and getting results in Google.

I’ve never recommended any type of SEO link building system or service before – because I never wanted to recommend a product that I never used and couldn’t show any results for, not to mention I didn’t know what methods these companies were using to get links to their client’s websites.

A system is only as good as the people behind it, and for you to understand the value of the system you must first know the people who created it.

Lets take a look at some of my websites that I’ve gained top 10 rankings for in Google and other search engines.

HipHopMusicDotCom.com (Soon to be iHipHopMusic.com)

Top 10 rankings for hip hop music, new hip hop music, hip hop music videos, hip hop videos, music websites, hip hop mixtapes, r&b music, and more.

Mixtapes.tv

Top 10 rankings for mixtapes (super competitive keyword as with all single word search terms), free mixtapes, reggae mixtapes, r&b mixtapes, listen to mixtapes, and more

The list goes on and this is just 2 of the 6 active websites I own, these search terms bring me millions of visitors every month and if you don’t believe just Google any of the search terms above.

Here’s a Google Analytics screenshot from just one of my sites.

Brad Callen

The person responsible for me getting these top rankings is Brad Callen, one of the people behind SEO Link Monster. I’ve been a student of this guy since 2005 when I first started out on the web, the first thing I ever read from Brad was a guide he created called 7 Days To Google Domination which changed my business forever because before that guide I really didn’t know exactly how to rank in search engines.

Since then Brad has gone on to become a big name in the Internet Marketing world, and released a series of top-selling products like SEO Elite which was the go to SEO tool way before all the all these new web 2.0 services popped up. He then released Keyword Elite which changed the keyword research game forever, followed by Affiliate Elite which leveled the playing field for affiliate marketers.

This isn’t the first time Brad has created successful systems either, his first was LinkMetro over 5 or 6 years ago which was one of the first of its kind – Before SEO Link Monster his newest system was SEO Link Vine, so this isn’t new territory for Brad Callen.

Matt Callen

The next person behind the SEO Link Monster system is Matt Callen, who’s Bard Callen’s brother.

Matt has a long list of successful products of his own, some of which include HyperVRE, Niche Revolution and My Article Network. I’ve personally used HyperVRE, Instant Popover and My Article Network when article marketing was all the rage. The thing the Callen bothers have in common is that they both create complex yet easy to use software and services.

Dori Friend

And last but definitely not least is Dori Friend, the creator of the very popular and extremely exclusive SEONitro. I’ll be honest with you, I’ve never used the SEONitro system before, because I could never get in. This is one of those systems that doesn’t stay open to the public very long and when I first heard about it, I was small time then and didn’t have the funds to participate.

SEONitro is literally responsible for ten of thousands of top ten rankings in Google, If there was ever a SEO Guru it would be Dori Friend.

You guys remember Image Space Media right?……..Nah? Don’t worry about it, neither does 90% of the rest of the web. I wrote about these guys over 2 years ago when they were originally called PicAdMedia. I basically addressed the low payouts, the possible potential of the service and a couple useful features.

I’ve long since dropped the service because it simply wasn’t profitable and it was on one of my most popular websites iHipHopMusic.com, which at the time was clocking 2 million page views monthly.

Today Vibrant Media, another company which I worked with announced that they acquired the service. I’m not sure why they would do that, maybe Image Space Media has improved drastically since I used them but as far as I know – GumGum owns the In-Image Advertising space.

Below is apart of the press release.

We are pleased to announce today our acquisition by Vibrant Media, the global leader in premium contextual advertising. This acquisition combines our image technology with Vibrant’s unmatched scale, robust contextual platform, award-winning sales force and publisher service team.

Vibrant currently works with more than 6,500 publishers and the top 100 brands, including Samsung, Chrysler, and AXE. With this acquisition, we can deliver new and expanded revenue opportunities for you, and offer your site visitors an enhanced experience that is relevant to the content they are viewing. In addition to Vibrant Image, Vibrant has a suite of products that help publishers add incremental revenue: Vibrant In-Text, Vibrant Video, Vibrant Bar, and Vibrant Display.

All things considered it could be a smart move, since it’s puts them in direct competition with GumGum in the In-Image Advertising space. When it comes to In-text Advertising they’re already playing second fiddle to InfoLinks, who’s long since blown pass them – at least according to my earnings comparison.

Mobile Money Bandit Review, this is a look into the new Mobile Money Bandit product and I STRONGLY recommend you read every word of this because this program is not what you think it is.

I really don’t spend much time paying attention to these shitty internet marketing products coming down the pipeline anymore, I gave that up about 3 years ago. You know the products I’m talking about – those products were they schedule a live webinar, which you found out about via some other douche bag self proclaimed proclaimed expert’s mailing list. They get you on the webinar, show you some logins, stats, screenshots if they’re lying and maybe some live examples which they could have used there own money to ramp up.

When it came to Mobile Money Bandit which I got updated about via 3 different mailing lists, I was already prepared to trash this product as another recycled bullshit Mobile Marketing course that was gonna run people $1,000 which seems to be the standard asking price for internet marketing junk products these days.

It’s not until I got on the webinar that I realized that this course was different from the others, before I talk about that lets first talk about how people are making money in mobile marketing right now.

This is what the mobile marketers usually try to sell you.

Mobile Affiliate Marketing: This is is where you make money by advertising affiliate offers via mobile ad networks which mobile users click on – and you make a profit depending on what action they take, I’ve been doing this for years with ringtones. It’s no where near new information, check out Making Money With Cell Phones, My First Month Running A Mobile Site, I wrote that almost 2 years ago, back when 18 year old Adam Horwitz wrote a course on it..

Mobile Apps: Building Apps for iPhone and Android platforms, I’ve been on 3 webinars that talked about making money this way and honestly you don’t damn course to tell how to do this. The most stupid ass apps can make tons of cash, if you have a silly idea and a clever name for an app – all you have to do is go to Guru, Elance or Freelancer and shell a couple hundred dollars to have it built and your set, nothing genius there. You then give it away for free, it gets downloaded thousands of times then serve ads within the app with the help of mobile ad networks like AdMob, InMobi, AirPush and a bunch more. You then build more free apps and link them all together, creating your very own app network that brings in money everyday… This one paragraph is all you’ll ever need to know about how people are making money with apps, put away that $1000 – this will cost you $0.

Time and time again I’ve seen both these techniques get recycled a dozen times into new shiny products, don’t waste your time…There is so much free resources to find information about that.

So What Makes Mobile Money Bandit Different?

It’s not so much that it’s different but instead a step forward into the next level of Mobile Affiliate Marketing, to put it simply it’s Pay Per Click + Mobile + Pay Per Call.

Pay Per Call is exactly what it sounds like; you get paid for when someone calls a company via your unique 800 number, it was a system introduced to the Affiliate Marketing industry a couple years ago by RingRevenue - the leading call performance marketing platform.

No matter what Ad network you go with, they’re all using the RingRevenue platform, Pay Per Call is just another type of Pay Per lead program; the only difference is it’s being done over the phone……Oh and they pay a shit load more money than your standard Pay Per Lead program.

Guess what guys? I’ve been making money with Pay Per Call as well, for damn near a year now. Usually at this point I’d show you the site that’s bringing in the cash like I do with the other sites owned by my company the Covanant – but with this site I think I’m the only one doing it and I don’t want the leeches jacking my swag.

I can tell you the offer that I’m making money with though, it’s Angie’ s List which pays up to $18 per call – other stipulations apply of course. It’s been making me a small mortgage over the past year.

Now here’s what separates me from Justin Elenburg the creator of Mobile Money Bandit, he doesn’t use a website (but you can if you want to) and he’s doing it all on mobile phones – why the hell didn’t I think of that? I can honestly say none of the other mobile marketing products that have hit the web over the past 2 years haven’t covered anything remotely like this – not even close!

Oh and did I mention he’s raking in $500,000 a year?

Check out a unique mobile marketing course for once, Mobile Money Bandit.

No flip-flopping we’re going to get right into how you can guarantee your content goes viral with some real life examples from some of my successful viral campaigns.

1. Attention Grabbing Headlines, Lie If You Have To

It’s all about the headlines, nothing else matters as much to readers. If you take away all the great headlines from the web you’d be left with nothing but paragraphs of the same content written in the different ways, even this very article your reading right now; I’m sure there’s a bunch of other articles just like it with only the headline to decide which will be the most successful.

If your running a news type of website or blog, then headlines can literally make or brake your business. When writing about existing news, pick the best thing from that article and turn it into something controversial if possible, your basically lying but it’s completely acceptable. Magazines, major News websites and TV Networks do it all the time. How many times have you been watching the news and they say “coming up” followed by some headline that makes you wait around for it, and then it turns out after you finally get the news it’s not exactly what you thought it would be?

This is the same thing, just take things out of context. You’ll feel a little dirty at first, but after a while you’ll start liking it. Another thing to do is use a headline to make the content more than what it is or to explain what the content will be without out ruining the ending; the same way a movie trailer does.

Here’s an example:

YouTube sensation Karmin created a video called Look At Me Now which was a cover of Chris Browns “Look At Me Now” song. As soon as I saw the video I knew it was destined for viral greatness so I needed to get a piece of the action.

Before this video Karmin wasn’t really known beyond their YouTube channel so my headline couldn’t be something lame like “Karmin Covers Chris Brown’s Look At Me Now Song,” at that time the first thing my audience would have said when they saw that headline is who the f*ck is Karmin?….So instead of putting that headline I wrote “White Girl Singing Look At Me Now and Kills It” and that headline was responsible for bringing me over 70,000 views for that video. Now 2011 is over, that video was one of the most popular videos on YouTube for the year clocking over 50,000,000 views.

2. Broadcast It Everywhere, Snitching is A Good Thing

Your building your social presence on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, StumbleUpon, Google+ and whatever else your using for one reason; and that’s to get the word out about whatever it is that your doing. It’s a no-brainier to announce your content to your social edges. Do it more than once for the same content if you need to, since the audience in your social reach will have different check-in times and they might miss it on the first go around.

3. Lips, Ass, and Tits, Sex Sells

It’s all about the headlines but I have to say a sexy pic is a close second. Images in general increases traffic to your content but a sexy pic can easily double or triple your traffic with no extra effort. I don’t care who you are, male, female, black, white, brown or yellow, you took a few seconds to look at that picture above of Nicki Minaj, and yes you looked at her ass; whether it turned you on, freaked you out or you thought it was gross (Don’t know why you would), you still looked and if it was on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or wherever else, your gonna click it.

You can use sex to sell pretty much anything, not matter what the industry is. GoDaddy is infamous for this and have been doing it for years but what does sex have to do with domain names and web hosting? Not a damn thing but it doesn’t matter.

Depending on what industry your in and what it is your doing; sex will work. The pic could be sleazy, a sexy geek with some cute glasses on to cater to the nerdy types, a hot mom etc..

In my category which is Urban Entertainment, I can always get away with sleazy stuff, everyday I look for something to take advantage of and add some sleaziness to….I enjoy it. This is the case with a video which was released by a Hip Hop artist named Tyga for his song “Make It Nasty,”…….The title alone was sleazy enough, and the pic was the icing on the cake. I intentionally chose the most eye catching sleazy pic I could get from the video.

The video premiered December 8th 2011, by December 20th I had over 150,000 views, today the video has 1 StumbleUpon which brought me over 1000 stumblers which is nuts, 13 Google+ Ones, 176 Tweets, and a whopping 42,000 Facebook Likes which brings my current views for the video to 250,000 on my site Mixtapes.tv.

All due to that sleazy preview pic that spread across social networks like wild fire.

Yeah I know it’s cheap, so what? It’s a part of the human condition, I’m simply exploiting it…..So sue me.

4. If I Can See It, I’ll Believe It

I’ll keep this one brief because you should already know this, video gets more attention than anything else. Whatever your content may be, make your best effort to enhance it by adding some visuals. A video can go much farther than a article can.

5. Do it For The Haters, No One Cares About Love

Listen your a blogger, and content creator so stop with all the none-bias, no taking sides neutral bullsh*t. Talk smack, be a hater or create something that will make the haters get bent out of shape. Majority of the people that comment of your content aren’t the positive ones, the positive folks usually just consume the content and move on while those who are more critical, negative and miserable always have something to say. You need but to read some YouTube comments to see the trolls hating away.

6. Tell Me The Benefits, Not The Features Dumb Ass

Don’t be technical, forget about the specifications of whatever product or service your marketing. Play to the readers emotions, whether it’s ego, love, loss, regret etc…From there you can use that to create urgency for whatever it is your trying to promote. Of course this doesn’t really work for a site that’s using a News format since specifications is key.

7. Do You Have A Problem? No? Well You Need To Make One

Controversy is great, if your controversial with the content you create you’ll have so much more discussion around it. If you Google the search term “why I hate blacks” most of you will find in the number one spot, the most controversial article I’ve published on my Hip Hop site iHipHopMusic.com.

It was a brilliantly ignorant article written by Kenneth Eng in a San Francisco based weekly newspaper called AsianWeek. Now me being a black man and a opportunist, it’s only right that I make a profit from this man’s hatred, my way of standing up for my race I guess.

He already did all the heavy lifting, I simply presented the content, gave my opinion in which I took a side and that is key to controversy. The best way to create controversy is to take a side so people can attack you, this is what you want – no one likes a flip-flopper so voice your opinion. Taking a side turned this article into a 800+ comments discussion.

If your running a news type of site then first movers advantage is the key to success. On the internet 1 day is a lifetime, so if you know your competing with hundreds of other sites for the same content you need to be first.

In my niche which is music, Hip Hop being the most competitive I’m competing with thousands other sites and blogs so being first is hard but still possible especially if your social fan base is big enough.

One of my most recent viral success is when I was one of the first with Hip Hop artist Drake’s Take Care album tracklist, as soon I received It I sent a email and blasted it out to all the social networks. Long story short I’ve received over 370,000 views and I rank number one in Google for the search term “drake take care tracklist”….All due to first movers advantage.

These are some of my methods for going viral….Thank you for reading.
