Biniak an original Z-Boy: 1958-2010

It's with sadness that we report the passing of original Dogtown skateboarder Bob "The Bullet" Biniak. Biniak suffered a massive cardiac arrest on Sunday and passed away in the early hours of Thursday at the Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fla.

Born in 1958, Biniak was an original member of the seminal Zephyr skateboards team in the 1970s. Biniak competed in the 1975 Del Mar Nationals where the Zephyr team turned the skateboarding world on its head with revolutionary riding and undeniable style. In the 2002 documentary, "Dogtown and Z-Boys," Biniak described the team's clash with the skateboard establishment at Del Mar, "Like a hockey team going into a figure skating match."

Biniak was a frequent face in mid-'70s issues of Skateboarder magazine. He was often photographed by Glen E. Friedman. Friedman has a heartfelt remembrance of Biniak with many classic photos posted on his blog.

Following his stint with the Zephyr team, Biniak rode for Sims and later Logan Earth Ski. Later in life Biniak pursued a career as a pro golfer even playing in the Sectional Qualifying round on the US Senior Open as recently as 2008. Biniak is survived by his wife Charlene and daughter Brie. Biniak's influence in skateboarding, especially his powerful pool riding and fearless pipe riding will be remembered with fondness.

This board is made out of 100% hardrock Canadian maple at the Control Manufacture in St-Nicolas Qc Canada. The project however is from our sales team. We will use all the contacts we have built over the last 15 years to reach out to all shops, brands and skaters accross Europe, Canada, USA and South America that currently buy boards from us.

Not a penny will be kept of the proceeds, everything we make is going to Haiti.

The skateboard is both a means of locomotion and a fabulous tool for juggling. The city, great playground for the skater, is also the scene where the four characters evolve in this film.

Raphael Zarka, artist and author of two books on skatebaord, radio sets its vision and design of skateboarding. Suddenly a flash interrupted the program: the fake Parisian taxi always rode two girls have disappeared after being mounted on board.

A young woman, Laura, gave up his relationship with Ian. It nourishes a passion which she said was "unhooked the lead. It was a whim, every Saturday she took a taxi and collect the portraits of drivers.

The words of Raphael Zarka radio feed the discussion of Laura and the taxi driver about relationships.As they confront their ideas and Paris through a strangely calm, a skateboarder in red shirt through the city. Ian himself, deeply embroiled in his nostalgia for Laura, he would do anything to see her and recover, and why he has a plan.
