This episode finds the Honk MahFah himself, Bryant Burnette, and I chatting about what our choices would be, should we get to cast the Dark Tower movies, should they actually be getting made. Matt also reveals a secret casting that he heard about, but probably won't happen now that production has been delayed. Matt also bounces some ideas off of Bryant about an all nerd culture dreamcast for the Dark Tower movies! Then we get into some talk about the Dark Tower Comics and how they are trying to fill some of the gaps that were left in the Dark Tower books. All you no-Wholigans can tune at after that, because it turns out that both Bryant and I are huge Doctor Who fans! So tighten your scarves or bow ties and hold on to your fezes and sonic screwdrivers, because it's about to get turbo-nerd in here! Feel free to tune out if you're not a Whovian, it's OK. I do know that some of the SK listeners are Doctor Who fans, so I decided to leave this part in.

I am joined on this episode by Bob Ledrew from the Kingcast! I have been wanting to do a collabo episode with Bob for a while, and couldn't see a better episode to have him on. We are both Dark Tower nerds and I am stoked that he was willing to join me. We got into DT movie casting just a bit, so those of you that are waiting for all that should enjoy it.

This is not the final Dark Tower episode, but almost. The Next episode will be dealing with the Dark Tower Comics and some of the DT Movie stuff. Merry Christmas and welcome to another episode of the Stephen King Fancast! Joining me for the discussion portion of this episode is Luanne Johnson. I got bored with the old intro, so I made a new one! Did you like it? It's a mish-mash of the things that comprise my nerdiness, and maybe even a thing or two in there that you're nerdy about! Did you recognize any of those tunes? I hope there is at least one person out there that can identify all of them.

I have some pretty cool ideas for the Stephen King Fancast, but I can't do it without you! I need your help to fund everything. Welcome back to the Stephen King Fancast!

Not a lot of news on this episode, mainly because, I think, no one was expecting this to come out so quickly with such a long hiatus before the last episode. Things are back on track, and I couldn't be happier!

The two bits of news that I do have are:

The great guys over at Random Download Productions are still trying to fund their Dollar Baby of Stephen King's "Stationary Bike" that they are just calling "Bike." Please help them out by contributing anything you can to the production of this short film. You can get more information or make a contribution by going to their IndieGoGo page.
I am hoping to get a table at Stumptown Comic Fest, Oregon's version of ComiCon, in April. It is going to cost me around $1,000.00 to make that happen, so I was hoping my listeners could help me out. Matt and Stephen would like to start by apologizing for the long delay in recording this episode. Stephen has been very busy working on many projects since our meeting at ZomBcon, and Matt has been laid-off from his job. He has been working very hard consulting other people on starting their own podcast and has been trying to find a writing job for various horror/music blogs. Matt is not trying to make excuses, just understand that it took him a little bit of time to regain his confidence and get back on the proverbial horse after his lay-off. We have all been there and Matt hopes you understand.

This is part 2 of the discussion about "Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands" and Matt and Steve had a great time discussing it! Shortly before noon on October 21 of an unspecified year after 2012
(evidenced by mention of a faded bumper sticker for Barack Obama's
successful 2012 re-election campaign, the small Maine town of
Chester's Mill is abruptly separated from the outside world by an
invisible, semipermeable barrier of unknown origin. The immediate
appearance of the barrier causes a number of injuries and fatalities,
and traps former Army Captain Dale "Barbie" Barbara—who is trying to
leave Chester's Mill—inside the town.

Police Chief Howard Perkins is soon killed when his pacemaker explodes
after getting too close to the barrier. This removes the last
significant opposition to James "Big Jim" Rennie, used car salesman
and the town's Second Selectman. Big Jim exerts significant influence
within Chester's Mill, and seizes the opportunity to use the barrier
as part of a power play to take over the town.
