[CS:GO] WHAT ARE THE BEST CS:GO LAUNCH OPTIONS?

To input launch options, head over to Steam, right click on CS:GO and go to properties. Hit ‘Set Launch Options…’ and a box will pop up. The syntax for commands put into this box is -[command] and then a space before the next one or any additional values that might be required. We’ll get into specifics with each command as we go.

Load console on game start

-console
This will enable the console as soon as you get into the game. It’s useful for making sure your config files have loaded properly, but unlike with Counter-Strike: Source, it isn’t required to make the console show up when you press its hotkey (more on this later).

Disable intro videos

-novid
Turns off the Valve intros, saving you precious seconds every time you boot into the game

High CPU priority

-high
Gives the game high priority in your CPU, meaning background tasks won’t slow it down as much. Useful for keeping web browsers running on a second monitor while playing. Messing with CPU priority isn’t a risk free operation, but is unlikely to damage anything permanently. Try disabling this command if you’re getting blue screens.

Govern CPU core usage

-threads [number]
Tells the game how many CPU cores it has access to. Recommended to set this to however many cores your computer has (probably 4). Exactly whether this will improve or decrease your performance is specific to your computer, so enable or disable this command as necessary.

Set offline server tickrate

-tickrate [number]
The tickrate is the number of times per second a server updates the status of everything on it. Most matchmaking servers run at a tickrate of 64, which is the default for local games you host offline. If you want to change to the competitive server tickrate of 128, change to that with this command.

Graphics options

-fullscreen
Loads the game in fullscreen

-windowed
Loads the game in a window. These commands set the width, height, and position:

-w [width] -h [height] -x [horizontal position] -y [vertical position]

So if you wish to have a window that fills a second 1080p monitor, you would use this string of commands: -h 1920 -w 1080 -x 1921 -y 0.

-noborder
Removes the border around a window.

Change client language

-language [language]
This forces the client into a certain language. Useful if you want it in English but have a non-English Steam client, or vice versa.

WHAT ARE THE BEST CS:GO CONSOLE COMMANDS?

Now we’ll move onto console commands. These come in a couple of flavours – ones that you want running every time the game starts, and ones that are useful to just pop into the console when you want a specific effect. All of them are best implemented using config files to keep them in order and let you change settings on the fly.

WHAT IS A CSGO CONFIG FILE?

Config files are located in [your Steam directory]\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg. If you haven’t already set Windows up to open these files with Notepad, try to open config.cfg and tell it to do so (or an equivalent simple text editor that won’t give weird formatting).

In here are all your in-game options stored as console commands that run every time you load the game. You can edit them from here if you like, but it also lets you change parts of the game not in the options menu, or copy-paste settings from outside the game, as we’re about to do. However, it’s much safer to use an autoexec.cfg file to do this, as it means you know all your changed settings are in one place and can easily be transferred between machines.

The other thing config files are good for is as lists of commands that can be executed with a single line from inside the game. This is very useful for setting up configurations for different sorts of match or specifically for practising against bots with server-side cheats on. The autoexec config file mentioned above automatically runs whenever you start the game.

So, what should be in my CSGO autoexec?

In your autoexec you want the settings that are global for any time you’re playing CSGO. This means your keybindings, graphics settings, and so on. We’ll divide this into groups of commands to explain. To create one, simply make a new notepad document in the cfg folder, go to Save As, change file type to All Files and name it autoexec.cfg. As with all Source engine games, console commands in a config file require quotes around values.

GRAPHICS SETTINGS

In general you want the lowest settings possible when playing CSGO competitively because it maximises your FPS and removes flashy effects that get in the way of seeing enemy heads to click on. You can set all those in the options menu. Here’s some extra vital ones.

View brightness

mat_monitorgamma “[value]”
This alters how bright the game world is. Most autoexecs I’ve seen have it set to between 1.6 and 2.1. Useful for picking enemies out of darker corners, like dust_2 tunnels.

Multi-core rendering

mat_queue_mode “-1”
Tells your computer how to deal with CSGO. Don’t change this from “-1” unless you know what you’re doing more than we do.

Maximum FPS lock

fps_max [value]
Sets the in-game maximum FPS. 0 will remove the lock, which some players prefer to sit at 145 for consistency. Naturally, you want this as high as possible, and over the server’s tickrate at the very least (again that’s 64 for matchmaking, 128 for custom competitive). fps_max_menu does the same for, surprisingly, menus.

Disable dynamic lighting

r_dynamic “0”
Turns off dynamic lighting, which some players find distracting.

Disable particles

r_drawparticles “0”
Turns off engine particles.

Disable tracer fire

r_drawtracers_firstperson “0”
Removes the light tracers from your weapons when firing. AKA the worst part of CS:GO. If someone had told us about this command when the game launched we’d probably be on NiP by now.

Save graphics options
mat_savechanges
This saves your graphics options so they’ll be the same the next time you start up the game. Important.

HUD SETTINGS

This section covers some vital components – the radar, the rest of the HUD, and how to reduce weapon bob in CSGO.

The Radar

Adding this set of commands to your autoexec file will make the whole map appear on the radar the entire time, making it easier to spot enemies.

cl_radar_always_centered “0”
cl_radar_scale “0.3”
cl_hud_radar_scale “1.15”
cl_radar_icon_scale_min “1”
cl_radar_rotate “1”

This will also make the radar a bit bigger, make icons appear larger on it and decenter it so it no longer moves with you. This means less space is wasted if you’re close to the edge of the map.

The Crosshair

Perhaps the most important part of CS:GO’s HUD is the crosshair. You’re going to be staring at it for about a billion hours and it’s vital you can always pick it out from the background. There are tons of options in-game for setting up what it looks like, plus loads more console modifications that can be made. Rather than listing all the possible options here, we recommend using a crosshair customiser that’ll spit out the correct commands you can copy and paste in.

As for the rest of the HUD, you can customise it with the following commands.

HUD Scale
hud_scaling “[value]”
Changes the size of the HUD as a whole. 0.8 seems to be the accepted best standard.

Toggle target names
hud_showtargetid “[value]”
Controls whether names show up when hovering over players.

Adjust HUD Alpha
cl_hud_background_alpha “[value]”
Changes the opacity of the HUD background. 0.1 is standard.

Position bomb display
cl_hud_bomb_under_radar “[value]”
Changes the position of the bomb indicator for when you have the bomb. 1 is under the radar, 0 is in inventory.

Adjust HUD colour
cl_hud_color “[value]”
Corresponds to the menu in-game that selects your HUD’s colour. 0 through 10.

Toggle avatars on mini-scoreboard
cl_hud_playercount_showcount “0”
Whether to simply show the number of players or all of their avatars as well on the top of screen scoreboard.

Move View Model

This set of commands will move the model of your weapon a little out of your way and disable the bob that occurs while running.

You can change the first command here to “0” if you prefer a left handed weapon. This set is super useful for maximising your viewing area and removing distracting animation. Both are vital for edging out those tiny advantages that make the difference between an AK bullet to the skull and victory in the round.

PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENTS
The holy grail of config edits, these are what you’re here for. You won’t notice a massive boost from enabling this set of commands, but it will smooth things out, particularly on 128 tick servers.

All six of these are about making sure your computer is communicating with the server as efficiently and often as possible. It minimises the number of times your computer will think something has happened and the server corrects it a moment later, usually leading to that sweet headshot being flip-turned on you in the worst way possible.

SOUND
Sound is ludicrously important if you don’t want to get sneaked up on in Counter-Strike. Here’s what the console lets you do in that area.

Adjust main volume
volume “[value]”
Scales from 0 to 1 with a couple of decimal places.

Toggle voice chat
voice_enable “[value]”
0 for off, 1 for on. Some bind a button to toggle between the two for when they want quick access to not hearing their teammates any more:

bind “[key]” “toggle voice_enable 1 0”

Voice receive volume
voice_scale “[value]”
Adjusts the volume at which you receive voice communication from other players. Works on the same scale as normal volume.

Adjust speaker configuration
windows_speaker_config “[value]”
Corresponds to the menu in-game that lets you select between headphones, 5.1 surround, and so on. -1 will auto-pick, while 1 is headset, 3 is four speakers, 4 is two speakers, and 5 is surround.

Adjust music volume
snd_musicvolume “[value]”
Changes the music volume. Many set this to 0 to avoid distractions.

Sound delay
snd_mixahead “[value]”
Determines how much sound is buffered by the engine. The default is 0.1, while many players prefer 0.05 or lower. This can come with serious performance issues but it’s worth putting it as low as possible to get more instant reactions.

Adjust volume of distant sound
snd_headphone_pan_exponent “[value]”
Changes how loud distant sounds are. Higher means more distant map awareness, but makes it more difficult to tell when enemies are closer. Scales 0-100.

Adjust centered sound radius
snd_headphone_pan_radial_weight “[value]”
Changes how close to the crosshair a sound source has to be before it is centered in your headphones. Scales 1-100.

BINDINGS
You can also use the autoexec file to set your bindings. Beyond the obvious shooting and jumping, it’s good for setting up buttons that’ll quickly buy the most common items required – the various sorts of grenade, the most common guns and armour/defusers. Here’s how the command works:

bind “[key]” “[action]”

Rather than run you through all the different possible permutations of this, there’s a number of helpful tools that will customise this section of your autoexec for you. This one even has a nice GUI where you click buttons to select which key and gun you want to match. A majority of better players use the numpad for these bindings.

ALIASING
Aliasing is where you define new commands for the console by combining others. This is most useful in combination with bindings to let one keypress execute a large number of console commands.

alias [new command] “[command]; [command]; [command]”

There’s a lot of complicated stuff you can do with aliasing, from binding buttons to have contextual actions to making the scoreboard show up alongside the net graph. Experiment with it and look around the net for other people’s autoexecs, or see our list of links at the bottom, to see what you can get up to.

ENABLING PRACTICE MODE
One of the most useful tools the console gives you access to is a custom-made practice mode. In this, you can track where bullets are landing, how grenades are being thrown, play on maps that don’t end, and position bots to your liking. You even have infinite ammo and can buy guns map-wide.

Obviously, this isn’t something you want every single time you load up the game, so we’re going to use the exec command. It lets you execute config files from inside the game, like how autoexec does this automatically. We’ll set up a practice cfg file and then use this syntax to load it in the game:

exec [filename]

You can set all this up yourself, but naturally legions of folks have done it before and created optimised versions with custom binds and interesting information readily available. League organiser FACEIT has a video tutorial for its own.

There’s a download in the description. It’s been updated since that video was made with some of the suggestions from this Reddit thread, which is also worth looking at if you want to modify the config further. Just open it in Notepad like you would any other config file and change as you like. Here’s some useful commands:

Sets round times to 60 minutes so you can mess about for as long as you like.

Infinite money

While not technically infinite, this sets your money to enough to buy as much as you like for testing purposes.

No freeze on round start
mp_freezetime “0”
Removes the no-movement time at the start of a round.

Buy anywhere, anytime
mp_buytime “9999”
mp_buy_anywhere “1”
Allows you to buy anywhere on the map at any point in the round.

Infinite ammo
sv_infinite_ammo “1”
Gives guns infinite ammo.

Five grenade slots
ammo_grenade_limit_total “5”
Allows you to carry five grenades in total.

End warmup on start
mp_warmup_end
Takes the game out of warm up.

Restart the server
mp_restartgame “1”
Useful either as an end-of-autoexec clean slate or a command to restart whenever you need to.

Show grenade trajectory
sv_grenade_trajectory “1”
sv_grenade_trajectory_time “10”
Enable to show where grenades have travelled after release, good for testing smoke placements.

Show bullet impacts

sv_showimpacts “1”
sv_showimpacts_time “10”
Shows where bullets landed as well as how much penetration they achieved.

Kick bots

Kicks a bot.

Add bots

bot_add_t
bot_add_ct
Useful for target practice.

Stop bots

bot_stop “1”
Prevents bots from moving.

Make bots mimic player

bot_mimic “1”
Makes bots mimic the movements of the player, allowing them to be positioned when combined with bot_stop.

MISC ADDITIONAL COMMANDS

Here’s some stuff that doesn’t fit into other categories, but might be useful anyway. It includes some of the commands in the practice files linked above that might be useful elsewhere, too. You can put them in autoexec as you like, or just type them in directly when you want them. Remember that if you’re typing directly into the console then quotes aren’t needed around values.

Enable console

con_enable “1”
Allows access to the console. This can be switched on from in-game, but bung this in your autoexec if you never want to have to worry about it.

Enable cheats

sv_cheats “1”
Enables cheats on local servers. Obviously, this doesn’t work while playing on a server you don’t have admin access to, which will be most of them.

Enable developer mode

developer “[value]”
Changes how much output is displayed in the console. 0 is normal, while 1 will give you a little more info. Enabling it is also required for some commands.

Print damage on screen

con_filter_enable “2”
con_filter_text “Damage”
con_filter_text_out “Player:”

This set of commands will print your damage dealt and received to the top-left corner of the screen whenever you die, rather than you having to check the console to find out.

Change Steam overlay position

ui_steam_overlay_notification_position “[bottom/top][left/right]”
Allows you to customise where Steam overlay alerts appear. Top left is my preference. Note that there’s no space between the two modifiers.

Disable help messages

cl_autohelp “0”
cl_showhelp “0”
player_nevershow_communityservermessage “1”

This set will turn off the ‘press F to inspect your gun’ style messages.

Turn off server MOTDs

cl_disablehtmlmotd “1”
This stops servers showing you their Messages of the Day, which are usually adverts and bloaty HTML.

Highest ping for matchmaking

mm_dedicated_search_maxping “[value]”
This limits which servers you will be matchmade onto based on their ping. Roughly, anything over 100 isn’t really playable, and most people prefer to play at sub-80.

Don’t download custom sounds

cl_downloadfilter “nosounds”
Stops sounds being downloaded from servers. You’ll miss out on a few MULTIKILLs but will save on disc space and connection times.

Disable weapon switch on pickup

cl_autowepswitch “0”
Means you won’t switch to any gun you pick up. You don’t want to walk over an AK while shooting somebody with a pistol and suddenly be going through a weapon change animation. Believe us.

Buy menu remains open

closeonbuy “0”
Stops the buy menu closing once you’ve purchased something, meaning you can purchase more weapons. Capitalism in action.

Auto-screenshot scoreboards

hud_takesshots “1”
This will take a screenshot of the scoreboard at the end of every match. Good for bragging and keeping track of how you do.

Preload maps

cl_forcepreload “1”
This preloads everything on a map when you first connect, rather than as you get to it. Increases load times but means less stutter mid-game. Vital.

Turn off freezecam on death

cl_disablefreezecam “1”
Disables the smash-zoom and freeze onto your killer when you die.

Save settings to config

host_writeconfig
This makes sure that all these settings are enabled and saved. Always a good idea to have this as the last command in your autoexec.

Print to console

echo “[text]”
This prints text to the console. Useful for making sure your autoexec has loaded properly, with a message along the lines of echo “PREPARED FOR DIGITAL SPORTS.”

Lastly, here’s some specific commands that don’t make sense in an exec file but might be useful every now and then.

Third-person mode

thirdperson
Moves the viewpoint to third-person. Requires sv_cheats. firstperson puts you back.

Wireframe wallhack

mat_wireframe “1”
Allows you to see other models through the terrain in a wireframe model. Obviously this requires sv_cheats, but can be useful for seeing how bots move around a map and where people will be at certain points.

No clip

noclip
Turns on no clipping mode. Useful for exploring levels quickly. Requires sv_cheats.

God mode

god
Makes you invulnerable. May be useful in bot games or for practicing jumps that damage you if you fail. Requires sv_cheats.

Suicide

kill
Kills you for the round. May be needed if you get into a weird spot or want to reset a solo round.

Starting on January 1 2019, Steam will officially stop supporting the Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems. This means that after that date the Steam Client will no longer run on those versions of Windows. In order to continue running Steam and any games or other products purchased through Steam, users will need to update to a more recent version of Windows.

The newest features in Steam rely on an embedded version of Google Chrome, which no longer functions on older versions of Windows. In addition, future versions of Steam will require Windows feature and security updates only present in Windows 7 and above.

For the remainder of 2018 Steam will continue to run and to launch games on Windows XP and Windows Vista, but other functionality in Steam will be somewhat limited. For example, new features such as the new Steam Chat will not be available. We encourage all users on these operating systems to upgrade to newer versions of Windows in order to have ongoing access to the latest features of Steam, and to ensure future access to all games and other Steam content.

The main CS 1.6 settings

With the recent update the install location for Counter-Strike 1.6 moved to SteamApps/common/Half-Life . If you are experiencing crashes on startup after the update, and are running on Windows, it is possible that your install failed to convert to the new location, it may still be trying to run from the old folder.

To fix this issue delete your Counter-Strike install and install it again, after making a copy of any custom configurations you may have made.

For the more technically minded, you can use a tool like:
Process Explorer v16.22 to verify that you are running from the correct location.

Launch options:

-nofbo -nomsaa +cl_filterstuffcmd 1

-nofbo
Tells engine to use old renderind method. New method includes multi-sample anti-aliasing. Though it's not necessary, most people who had issues with black screens fixed it with this command so I'm recommending this as a norm but if your game works fine without it, no requirement to include it.

Valve je izdao update i učinio CS:GO free-to-play naslovom, a stigao je i Danger Zone, novi battle royale mod za 18 ili 16 igrača. Što besplatan CS:GO i Danger Zone znače za one koji su igru kupili i igraju je godinama?

Besplatan CS:GO

Najveće promjene u povijesti igre stigle su u CS:GO. Prvi puta od 21.8.2012. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive je potpuno besplatan. Novim igračima će u igri biti dostupni svi modovi, ali tek limitirani dropovi i itemi. Ako se pribojavate da će besplatan CS:GO privući cheater i drugi šljam, koji će nakon bana samo napraviti novi account, ne brinite. Postojeći igrači ne bi trebali značajno osjetiti promjene. Tako će svi oni s Prime Statusom igrati protiv drugih igrača s istim statusom. Prime Status moći će se dobiti na Rank 21 i autentifikacijom broja telefona u Steamu ili kupnjom upgradea u igri. Svi oni koji su kupili igru, a nisu imali Prime Status, dobili su ga automatski.

CS:GO Danger Zone

Danger Zone je novi battle royale mod u CS:GO-u koji će se igrati na Blacksite mapi s 18 igrača za timove, odnosno 16 za solo. Princip je nešto drugačiji nego u ostalim battle royale igrama koje smo imali prilike igrati u posljednje dvije godine. Tako će u Danger Zoneu igrači sami birati lokaciju gdje će početi meč. Što to sve znači?

Bilo je vrijeme za neke velike promjene u CS:GO-u. Valve je toga svjestan i pronašao je način da igri udahne novi život, privuče nove igrače, a samim time i publiku. Besplatan CS:GO znači da će sada igra biti dostupna u praktički svim igraonicama, što je posebno važno za mnoge azijske zemlje u kojima igrači preferiraju odlazak u igraonice umjesto igranja kod kuće. Također, nove promjene i battle royale mod će privući i nove streamere i gledatelje na Twitchu te tako dodatno širiti evanđelje po kanteru.

Za one više natjecateljski nastrojene koji već grindaju FACEIT ništa se neće promijeniti. Nitko normalan nije ni očekivao da Valve popravi Matchmaking. Ovako će ta opcija ostati za casual igrače i one koji su tek počeli igrati. Dio njih će ubrzo završiti i na drugim platformama za igranje. Kada je Danger Zone u pitanju ostaje nam vidjeti koliko će se Valve baviti modom. Međutim, ako vam se ne sviđa, jednostavno ga zaobiđite. Kada govorimo o globalnom esportu, ove promjene ni na koji način ne bi trebale negativno utjecati na igru već privući još više gledatelja i igrača.

Open library, right-click counter-strike, click properties, click local files, click browse local files, open cstrike, find config.cfg and delete it, do not delete any other file, launch counter-strike and your setting should be reset (including your multiplayer profile).

Use launch options to reset the resolution:

-w 1024 -h 768 -full

Add another launch option: -gl
Which makes the engine use OpenGL renderer.

In your Steam window, you will find a Tab called "Library" in which you will find a list of your games. Select the game you are having issues, in this case "Counter-Strike" and right-click on it to display a list of options, one of them being "Properties". In there you will find a button with a label "Set Lauch Options...", which you want to click on and add the following line: -w 1024 -h 768 -full.

The flushentity message indicates packet loss or poor connection to the server.

Packet loss is generally caused by network congestion.

Typically, if your network's bandwith is being consumed - expect packet loss.

You're on a KB connection, which is poor - and if others are sharing the same networking and downloading things; expect packet loss.

If the server is further away from you, and your latency goes somewhat about 300, the connection is not perfect.

Thus, the result message is flushentity.

Other alternative explanations.

1) Your connection is overloaded, for example running a peer-to-peer filesharing application in the background.

2) The server you are on has its network connection overloaded.

3) You are running on a wireless connection with a poor or inconsistent signal.

4) You have a Virus or Trojan or Internet Worm infection that is generating traffic.

5) You are connected to the internet using a dial-up or other low-speed connection.

Some games don't work with steam-overlay. You can't Shift + Tab and you can't take screenshots. Basically, this is often the case with indie RPG games. This guide will show you how to upload screenshots for such games, when you can't do it with steam overlay.

Step 0 (Preparation phase)

This assumes that you already have the screenshot manually made. There are many ways to do this. One of which is to use PrtSc (Print Screen) and paste it in the 'Paint'. Then you just save it in ''.jpg'' format.

For Step 6, download ''Notepad++'' program. You can download it by clicking here [notepad-plus-plus.org].
Step 1

1. Find app Id of the game.

Use steamdb.info. Write the name of the game and see the ''APPID'' part. The number will be there.
Example: ''Counter-Strike'' will have the App Id ''10''.

Step 2

2. Find the path to make the folders.

Find this path

Paste your text hProgram Files\Steam\userdata\X(number may vary)\760\remote.

If you have just one account then you will find the right folder I marked with an ''X'', with ease. But if you have several accounts you need to find the folder that belongs to your account.

For that you could visit steamidfinder.com and paste the URL of your steam profile page.
You will see this box with your info in it:

You need the numbers I marked as ''X'' in ''steamID3''.

It will look like this: steamID3 [U:1:XXXXXXXXX].

Find the folder in ''userdata'' with these numbers and open it.

Remember the path we need:

Program Files\Steam\userdata\X(the folder with account numbers you currently searched for)\760\remote

1. Introduction

The system console can be activated at anytime by pressing the tilde key. ( ~ )

The console displays a lot of useful data such as gameplay messages ,error messages, recent chat... etc.

2. Performance Commands

These commands alter game performance.

fps_override (0-1) = Allows you to override default fps with your own. 
fps_max (0-999) = Sets the maximum framerate.
fastsprites (0-2) = Sets the complexity of smoke sprites. 0 looks the best.
max_shells (0-999) = Sets the maximum number of shells allowed at one time.
max_smokepuffs (0-999) = Sets maximum number of smokepuffs allowed at one time.
rate (0-20000) = Sets how much data you receive from a server.
cl_cmdrate (0-105) = Number of data you send to the server.
cl_cmdbackup (0-10) = Number of data that is buffered for server.
cl_updaterate (0-102) = How many server update data you receive.
bgmvolume (0-1) = Toggles CD audio on or off. 1 is on and 0 is off.
brightness (1-3) = 1 is darkest while 3 is brightest.
gamma (1-3) = Sets gamma correction. Warning: may require a restart.
cl_weather (0-3) = Sets weather quality. 0 is off,3 is highest quality.
gl_cull (0-1) = Toggles rendering of visible objects only. 1 is on while 0 is off. 
gl_spriteblend (0-1) = toggles sprite blending. 1 is on, 0 is off.
gl_smoothmodels (0-1) = Toggles model smoothing. 1 is on, 0 is off.
gl_ansio (0-16) = Sets value of anisotropic filtering.
gl_vsync (0-1) = Toggles video syncing. 0 is off,1 is on.
hisound (0-1) = Toggles high sound quality. 0 is low quality, while 1 is high quality.
r_drawviewmodel (0-1) = Toggles weapon model viewing. 0 is off,1 is on
r_dynamic (0-1) = Toggles dynamic lighting. 0 is off,1 is on.
snd_noextraupdate (0-1) = Disables extra sound updates. 0 is off,1 is on.
viewsize (value) = Resizes pixels. 
quit = Exits game instantly.

3. Gameplay and Control

These commands alter controls and personal game elements.

cl_dynamiccrosshair (0-1) = Sets crosshair movement when moving. 0 is off,1 is on.
cl_allowdownload (0-1) = 1 allows you to download custom server content,0 doesn't.
cl_dlmax (value) = How fast you download in-game. 
cl_crosshair_color (value,value,value) = Allows you to change the color of your crosshair.
cl_lefthand,righthand (0-1) Changes weapon alignment. 1 is on,0 is off.

cl_smoothtime "0" = Makes players look choppy but shows actual positions instead of estimated.
cl_radartype (0-1) = Changes radar from transparent to solid. 0 is transparent, 1 is solid.

cl_minmodels (0-1) = 0 is default while 1 makes each team only use one model. Great for beginning players.
say (message) = Let's you type a message through console, plus you can copy and paste a message.
say_team (message) = Allows you to send a team message through console, plus you can copy and paste a message.
hud_fastswitch (0-1) = Toggles fast weapon switching. 1 is on, 0 is off.
hud_deathnotice_time (value) = Sets how long death messages stay on screen.
hud_saytext_time (value) = Sets how long chat messages stay on screen. Spammers beware!

give weapon_(name) = Gives player weapon.
skin-(skinname) = Changes player skin.

Instalacija

Instalaciju stima i skidanje istog možete izvršiti sa steam sajta, ako pratite sledeći LINK.

Zaštita

Kada je instalacija gotova registrujete se i verifikujete vaš nalog na mejl koji ste prethodno uneli prilikom registracije.
Desni klik na steam ikonicu u taskbaru potom settings, vodi vas do podešavanja vašeg naloga.

[Steam] Don't use the in-game overlay web browser! YOU'RE GOING TO GET VIRUSES

Normally, I use Firefox with the NoScript add-on so that I'm safe while surfing the web, but just a little while ago I was playing Fallout New Vegas and, just for convenience sake, I decided to Shift+Tab and use Steam's overlay browser to look up some New Vegas information off of New Vegas Wikia page. I went back into the game and a few minutes later I started hearing audio on my computer about a security error and that I should call a phone number (an obvious scam). I closed out of New Vegas ASAP and saw this pop-up and X'd it out, but the audio was still going.

I quit out of Steam and the audio went away, it was coming from the Steam webbrowser. I'm never using Steam's overlay web-browser ever again. It's unsafe. I've ran full system scans of Windows Defender and Malwarebytes and my system seems clean, I think it was just a pop-up, but I haven't seen anything like this in probably ten years. It also befuddles me because I thought Wikia was a reputable website, but I guess I'm wrong and it is a malicious website when you aren't running NoScript protection.

TL;DR: Do not use the overlay browser in Steam and do not use the internet without being on Firefox with the NoScript add-on.

To add as well, I'm super safe about how I use my computer. I don't pirate anything, I don't download any weird software, and I certainly don't go to weird websites.

Failed to initialize authentication interface. Exiting

This error generally occurs when you have participated in "beta" version of new update which is not fully supported.
Therefore, this error occurs when your system is not able to play the "beta" version of the game.

This is a general error which occurs when you go for beta update of CS 1.6.

As they are "beta" updates, so there are not such a stable version,

so if you see this error it takes 2 minutes to solve this problem and this is how you solve it.

SOLUTION:

Open Steam, goto account tab.
Click on "change in Beta participation".
Select "none".
Click OK and restart Steam.

You are Done.

ERROR in CS 1.6 : "Couldn't find 'decals.wad' in DEFAULTGAME search path."

Sometimes playing on servers that changes your files and next time you start your game you
end-up into an error "Couldn't find 'decals.wad' in DEFAULTGAME search path."

So always play on a secure and good server which do not modify your content or just make all your files in "cstrike" folder as read only mode.

This is a very common error that occurs if "decals.wad" file is missing.

There are many chances that this file is found missing but the solution is simple, just follow following steps:

CS 1.6: Mouse Acceleration and Settings

After starting up Counter-Strike, go into Options. From there, select the “Mouse” tab from the menu.

Many of the options are self explanatory, but let us go over them a little just to be clear

Reverse Mouse: Ticking this option will invert your mouse's up-down axis. Up will become down and down will become up.
Recommended: Off, unless you're Rambo

Mouse look: Mouse look should be checked if you are using a mouse, allowing you to “look” with the mouse.
Recommended: On

Mouse Filter: Mouse filter smoothes out mouse movement. This may sound like a good idea, but it is best left unchecked. Enabling it will only distort your aim, moving your crosshair slightly off cue from where you want it. If turned on, Counter-Strike will calculate all your mouse movements over the last two frames to find an average and attempt to give you a more fluid feel. This means using older data to move your mouse instead of the most up to date information. Theoretically, with mouse filter off, you could also receive a slight FPS boost on lower end systems.
Recommended: Off

Joystick: Enable this if you prefer to use a joystick over a mouse. Disabling Joystick and all it's byproducts can in fact decrease load times slightly, which will be more noticeable on a slower system. This is because your game does not attempt to detect and initialize a joystick at startup.
Recommended: Off

Joystick look: Joystick look is the same concept as Mouse look, except this time for the joystick.
Recommended: Off

Auto-Aim: Aims at enemies automatically. This option is checked by default. Auto-Aim is disabled on most servers as many believe it to be a very cheap feature. This also will hurt you in the long run, not only will your aim cease to improve but those already skilled will find this option to be unhelpful as it throws your aim off.
Recommended: Off

Mouse sensitivity: This option allows you to change your in-game sensitivity, which sets how fast your crosshair moves. While a sensitivity of 5 or below is recommended and generally accepted, your choice is totally dependant on your current mouse and surface selection.
Recommended: Pure Preference

[Console Commands]

These commands can be adjusted before or during game via the developer's console ([~] key).

m_filter [0|1] – This would be the console equivalent of the Mouse Filter command. 0 = Off, 1 = On.
Recommended: 0 (Off)

m_forward [x] – Adjusts the sensitivity of forward and backwards mouse movement.
Recommended: Default

m_pitch [x] – Adjusts the sensitivity of up and down mouse movements.
Recommended: Default

m_side [x] – Adjusts the sensitivity of sideways mouse movement.
Recommended: Default

m_yaw [x] – Adjusts the sensitivity of turning left and right with the mouse.
Recommended: Default

sensitivity [x] – The console equivalent of “Mouse sensitivity.” This is the most effective method for changing sensitivity as not only can you include decimal values, but you can also adjust it faster on the fly.
Recommended: Pure Preference

zoom_sensitivity_ratio [x] – Temporarily adjusts the sensitivity of your crosshair upon zooming dependent on the ratio set. What does that mean? Let us say you have an in-game sensitivity of 4, and a zoom_sensitivity_ratio of 0.5. With this ratio your mouse speed will be cut in half (0.5), changing it to a sensitivity of 2 while zooming.
Recommended: Pure Preference

[Launch Option Commands]

Right click the steam icon on your taskbar -> Play Games -> Right click Counter-Strike -> Properties -> Launch Options.

The following three commands are the most used commands you will find in a users launch options. Luckily, they have a direct correlation to your mouse so you get to learn all about them right now.

noforcemaccel – reverts to desktop mouse acceleration settings. For the most part (when it comes to gaming and precision accuracy) mouse acceleration is a fickle feature. The noforcemaccel command will make sure Half-Life does not try and manage mouse accel when it is disabled in your windows options.
When to use? When mouse acceleration is disabled on your desktop and you want the same results for your in game experience.

noforcemparms – reverts to desktop mouse button settings. What does that mean? Usually when you start up Half-Life (or in this case Counter-Strike) your mouse configuration will switch to application mode, allowing the assignment of keys already assigned to your desktop (like mouse3). This variable turns that feature OFF. There is really no benefit to this command, and in actuality it is quite buggy at times.
When to use? When you are experiencing difficulty with button assignments. A part from troubleshooting this command has no practical use, despite popular belief.

noforcemspd – uses desktop mouse speed settings. Noforcemspd forces Half-life to use whatever speed settings you have applied to your desktop via mouse properties. Whatever the value, Half-Life will use it as guidance.
When to use? When you want your out of game speed to set the bar for your in game sensitivity. Think of sensitivity as a speed (de)amplifier.

[Mouse DPI]

Start -> Programs -> Your mouse software (if applicable).

Mouse DPI stands for Dots Per Inch. Most optical mice have a resolution of 400-800 DPI. In translation that means that the cursor on a standard optical moves 400-800 pixels across the screen for every inch the mouse is moved on the display. Mice like the mx518 can perform as high as 1,600 DPI. What this means is that the higher the DPI, the more accurate, precise, and sensitive your mouse will be. Just because your mouse is capable of higher DPI does not mean it is set that way. Just like an 8x motherboard shipped at 4x, your mouse could be set lower than it is easily capable of performing at. Consulting your user manual or company's website you can find out your current mouse limitations. By downloading the latest drivers, and then installing the proper software, you can likely raise the DPI for your mouse higher than it is boxed at.

[Mouse Frequency]

One of the most overlooked aspects of mouse performance is mouse frequency. What is mouse frequency? Well, the reported frequency is expressed in Hertz (Hz). It is the amount of data your optical mouse device sends to your system in the matter of one second. Think of it loosely as frames per second, the higher the better. There are two major factors that can drastically alter the amount of Hz you are getting. One is, of course, the mouse you have; the second is the port you use. Generally, if you are using your mouse in the USB port, you can reach in excess of 125Hz. A PS/2 port mouse can perform anywhere between 40Hz on the lower extreme, and about 97 Hz on the upper. On average most people probably get around 60Hz. Variables can show up as well, such as whether or not your mouse is wireless. There are a few utilities you can use to increase your PS/2 mouse performance. The best way would be to purchase a PS/2 to USB adapter; the other involves downloading a third party PS/2 rate adjuster. Even with a tweak utility, your USB port will still out perform, so if I had to choose I would get the adapter.
