The LOST cast is growing anxious to receive the first script of their final season, which goes into production late August. Before they get definitive answers, TV Guide Magazine asked them to come up with their own theories about how the mystery will get resolved.

Josh Holloway (Sawyer)
“There’s got to be a big blow-out war among everybody, and they’re all going to kill each other. There’ll be a few stragglers who have to make a choice, like the way ‘On the Beach’ ended, where the threat blows itself up and people will have to decide whether to stay or go.”

Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet)
“Like the end of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower, I think something will happen where we all go back to where we were. Juliet was never brought to the island. The plane never crashes. These people have never met. But because of the odd nature of time, we keep on getting drawn back into the same situation again. So basically, the ending is just another beginning.”

Just came back from the Q&A session with Bender, Cuse and Lindelof at Curzon Cinema in Mayfair, London. The producers were in good spirits answering most of the questions; apart from some lame lines from one of the fans, who requested ‘keep the smoke in the show!’ the questions that people have asked were very interesting.

My personal favourite was from a guy who explained what a choir watching season 5 was and how he had to force his wife not to give up on the show. The question was: “are we going to be rewarded for the patience we showed by staying with LOST after this tough season?” Damon answered that the time travel season is DONE and the last season will feel more like season one, focusing on the characters and wrapping up their stories.

Overall great event - I am especially proud of a snap I took with the producers. Go me!

In a separate interview at the Saturns, Lost executive producer Carlton Cuse told a group of reporters that he would not answer any questions about the coming season, not even with vague, dodgy answers. But he promised that he and fellow executive producer Damon Lindelof will be ready to answer questions for fans attending the Lost panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego next month.

“I hope you’re coming to Comic-Con,” Cuse said in a group interview. “Traditionally, Damon and I go into radio silence this time of year, and then at Comic-Con, we will answer questions. We want to give the fans a chance to speculate and theorize about what they saw in the finale, so we don’t want to kind of be interpreting the finale at this point. Come Comic-Con, we’ll have a few more things to say about what’s going to happen in season six.”

Somebody please ask if we’re going to see what happened if the plane never crashed so Cuse will give us an answer. “Perhaps, or it will be evaded in more elaborate detail,” he said.

ABC Studios is hosting at least seven panels, including one for the final season of ABC’s “Lost,” credited as the first TV show to launch at Comic-Con.

ABC has taken an increasingly unique approach to its “Lost” panel. Instead of simply screening footage and answering questions, the event is a carefully planned production that typically includes specifically shot footage and surprise guests.

“We’ve been working on the ‘Lost’ panel for literally months,” said Mike Benson, executive vp marketing at ABC Entertainment. “We want the audience to experience ‘Lost’ in a fully entertaining way.”
