Many people with PTSD are on several different medications, including antidepressants, anxiolytics, and antipsychotics. Some of these drugs have side effects that make them intolerable, so many patients are not able to take them. A recent study of the effects of MDMA showed that the drug may be beneficial for treating PTSD, although the research on whether it’s effective is limited.

MDMA May Help People Deal With PTSD Symptoms

A study in 2013 found that MDMA may help people deal with PTSD symptoms by opening up their minds. The substance is believed to help people deal with traumatic events. Currently, the treatment for PTSD is psychotherapy and an antidepressant, which is usually an anxiolytic or sedative. However, it is not clear if MDMA will work for PTSD. There are still many questions to be answered.

The use of pharmaceutical-grade MDMA in psychotherapy is safe for patients. In addition, it’s legal, which means it is a far cry from being available on the street. It is not yet approved as a prescription medicine in the United States, but the researchers hope that this will change. In Israel, MDMA has been used to treat PTSD, but the drug has not been deemed safe for this purpose.

Results Are Promising

There have been a number of studies conducted on the use of MDMA in treating PTSD. One study involved 26 people, including clinical researcher Michael Mithoefer. The results were promising, and six% of them no longer met the criteria for PTSD. In addition to these benefits, MDMA is illegal for recreational use in the U.S., so it is not a safe solution for everyone.

MDMA For PTSD is an experimental treatment. The drug is not considered clinically proven, but it is still considered an effective treatment in some cases. A recent study found that patients treated with MDMA showed significant improvement in PTSD symptoms when compared to their placebo counterparts. It is important to remember that the effects of MDMA are temporary, and it is not a cure for PTSD. Moreover, the drug is illegal to administer in the United States.

Phase 2 Clinical Trials

In the Phase 2 clinical trial, MDMA was administered to patients with PTSD for eight weeks. The drug was found to be effective in alleviating symptoms, but this study did not control for the adverse effects. Among the participants, 85% had a significant improvement in their symptoms. In the end, 32% had complete remission. The study was successful in improving the condition, but many people with PTSD need to avoid this treatment.

In a phase 2 trial, MDMA-assisted treatment was found to be effective for PTSD patients. The drug is illegal in most countries, and is not used in clinical trials, but clinical trials are being conducted to determine its efficacy in treating PTSD. It acts on the serotonin system to increase serotonin levels and prevent reuptake. These elevated levels of serotonin lead to subjective experiences, increased energy, and enhanced empathy.

Growing Evidence That MDMA Has Therapeutic Benefits

There is a growing body of evidence that MDMA has therapeutic benefits for people with severe PTSD. The study was conducted by Barone, W., Mitsunaga-Whitten, M., Perl, P., and Feduccia, A., who conducted the study. The results of this trial showed that MDMA-assisted psychotherapy had the most positive effects on posttraumatic growth. In another study, the drugs tended to have minimal side effects and reduced the risk of side effects.

While MDMA does not produce the classic psychedelic experience, the open-loving state it produces may be enough for people with PTSD to explore challenging memories and haunting experiences. The effects of MDMA therapy on PTSD have not been studied outside of clinical trials, but a few doctors have indicated that it could be useful in treating a variety of conditions, including PTSD. The study also discussed the factors that influenced a patient’s response to MDMA.

It is important to note that while MDMA is an effective treatment for PTSD, it is still an experimental compound and has a high risk of causing addiction. FDA approval is necessary for any drug to be effective for treating PTSD. The process to get MDMA for PTSD is extremely long, but it is worth the wait. While it’s still an experimental drug, MDMA is widely used as a psychotherapy and can be prescribed for individuals with PTSD.

There have been several successful studies done with MDMA in Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Now researchers are looking at MDMA to see if it can have promising results for treating tinnitus. Tinnitus, a health condition effecting over 50 million people where chronic noise is heard even without any outside stimulation, has become a worldwide epidemic in electronic dance music for producers, DJs, and fans alike. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control estimates that roughly 20 million Americans deal with tinnitus chronically, and over 2 million have debilitating and extreme cases, making tinnitus one of the most common health conditions in the nation. Unfortunately, there is no known cure.

Researchers Study

However, there might be hope from an unlikely place for those dealing with the persistent and frustrating ‘ringing in the ears.’ At the University of Auckland in New Zealand, researchers are knee deep in a two years study in curing tinnitus with the help of the banned party drug, MDMA, a component of ecstasy. There have been two separate studies involving a small number of participants in placebo-controlled trials, where participants were given a trivial amount of MDMA and monitored for over four hours. Since the dosage was so low (only 30mg and 70mg) in both studies, and strictly dispensed by pharmacists, the participants could not feel any side effects or euphoric stimulation that famously accompanies the drug. According to Stuff, three hours after the dosage, many surprisingly reported some relief from tinnitus symptoms, and the positive effects of the trial controlled any further symptoms for a week or more.

“Our goal is to try and find a medication for tinnitus. It can have catastrophic effects,” said University of Auckland senior lecturer Grant Searchfield. “Whether MDMA is it or whether it’s a trial for us to identify what is going on in the brain is still an open question.”

Though these controlled trails are a promise of hope for curing the often debilitating condition, this is just the first step on a very long journey in hopes to spread awareness. The study will need more funding to continue their trials, and there will be many issues with opening the drug to the public as a pharmaceutical, such as the potential of drug abuse, side effects, and addiction.

At this time of Writing i have had several dmt trips. In each trip i used a vaporizer and had mostly success administering the drug. For efficiency sake i’ll just go through what i consider to be my most powerful trip in which i considered myself to have “broken through”. In this session i inhaled two bags of DMT from my vaporizer. Probs around 50mg. Each of my Trip onsets have been very similar. Before I had this trip, I made sure to test the DMT to make sure it was pure.

First, before anything else, i feel my heart beat elevate substantially and feel a surge of adrenalin, either from the drug or from my own expectancy of what the drug will do (obviously DMT is not a recreational drug and involves a certain amount fear). As i lose sense of my heart beat a strong buzzing begins to rise. As this happens you lose sensations from your physical body (dissociation). The buzzing feels like an increasing vibration which is intimately linked to a feeling of intensity. I open my eyes to grab the second bag from my friend to inhale. i can barely see my friend or feel where my hand is. The room is filled with fractals and i think i can see through the roof. Some how i inhaled the second bag and thats when shit gets real. The buzzing intensifies dramatically. My vision is filled with spiraling eyes moving in perfect synchronicity, this pattern forms a tunnel which i feel as though im being shot through at extraordinary speed and power. Almost like a violent rolercoaster where your not too sure how safe this ride is but your holdin on for deal life. The intensity and buzzing almost feel as though there accompanied with you moving at an extraordinary speed. i reach the climax of the intensity and see an amazing geometric pattern which i feel myself merge with. The patterns dissolves as i move through it and suddenly i recognise that i am in a new place. alot of what follows is hard to remember. as i was coming out i wrote alot of it down so really this is a recount of what i remembered just after and what i had recorderd. Once in this new place filled with amazing geometry, hidden meaning, i was viewing certain shapes trying to understand why this was being shown to me. I come from a science background and am hesitant to believe that ppl do necessarily leave their bodies however i distinctly remember thinking there is no way my mind is making this up. i had the impression that something was showing me things, things about the universe and about myself. i was seeing a double tetrahedron coming out of this pattern and merging with it again.

There were snakes moving through this environment and at some stages they were moving through me. symbols were everywhere however i couldnt understand them. Throughout this entire time i couldn’t feel myself breathing and was concerned that i may be dead. In the trip i remember feeling as though i had been obliterated into a thousand pieces and didn’t exist in time or space, lost all sense of self and separation, kinda in line with Buddhist notions of bliss. when coming back i always sense that theres so much to learn and you just feel as though the knowledge is sliding through your fingertips and you cannot possibly absorb everything. When back i always feel great, rejuvenated with a sense of peace, rest and ready to get motivated about something productive in life. Always wish i could remember more though. Having done it a few times im still not sure whats actually going on. i’ve had trips where i felt as though i may be going extremely deep into my own subconscious, however, the strong sense of being an observer of the environment that you are in is undeniable and if what is being experienced is purely from our own minds then that is amazing and nearly unbelievable in itself.
