Birds are singing Squirrels are prancing all around, snowdrops, crocus and narcissus are all in flower at the same time. We went to the arboretum at Victoria Park, the King George V memorial garden at Henrietta Park, had lunch at Thai by the Weir and took a look at the Gillian Ayres RA Exhibition at the Victoria Art Gallery. It was -3C when I arrived at Slimbridge at 9:00am, There was a further -4C of windchill from the cold easterly wind. The Bittern didn't put in an appearance until about 11:30, by which time I ready I had lost feeling to my toes. I only managed to hang around for about 45 minutes before I had to go off for a walk to try and restore some circulation.
