Improvements in this version of Auctioneer include: a compacted UI for displaying more information in a digest format, an appraiser for better evaluation of item value, Statistics modules for improved pricing, and a Search UI to help you find deals in the auction house for resale profit.

Auctioneer is a great addon that keeps getting better and better. The AddonTemplate mod is very helpful. As a mod it does nothing in the game. It does however provide with a starting point to begin the process of learning how mods and Addons work.

If you learn best by learning from others this is a great tool. You can look at how this World of Warcraft mod is constructed and model your own addons after it.

Also don't forget to take advantage of Blizzard's Official Interface AddOn Kit.
One of the challenges of playing a Rogue in World of Warcraft is making sure that you are using the correct equipment at all times. Who hasn't snuck up on a mob only to have backstab fail due to having a scimitar equipped?

The RSwapper mod helps make life easier by rememberring to swap weapons for you when you enter stealth mode. It will automatically equip your dagger when you enter stealth and re-equip your sword when exiting stealth. Very handy.

World of Warcraft Addon ItemRack

World of Warcraft Addon ItemRack

Are you constantly switching from your raiding gear to your solo gear? Major changes are never easy and it looks like this one's a doozy. I'm really interested to see how players cope with the loss of their mods decision making capabilities. Will this fundamentally change people's style of play? Will there be new mods and addons that come to the rescue? Title : Auctioneer
Version : 3.3.0.0791
Web Site : AuctioneerAddon.com
Rating : Four of Five Slices

After patch 1.10 I figured I needed to update several of the addons that I use that were broken after the patch. One of the main addons that I use is Auctioneer. There are some really nice new features that I'm glad to see in the version that I am now using.

I especially like that now I am able to specify how and when Auctioneer loads. There are options for load manually, load always and load when at the auction house. This lets the mod take up less memory while the game is running and if I happen to want to turn off Auctioneer's extra display features I can do that as well.

Another new feature is the countdown for scanning the auction house. The Auctioneer mod now sports a handy new countdown to let you know how long a scan will take. Now you can know if you've got time for a cup of coffee or time to vacuum the house.

I've successfuly used Auctioneer in WOW to accumulate enough gold for my level forty mount in under three weeks. That was starting from zero gold at the beginning. It really makes your pricing and auction activities much more efficient. If you can price an item right the first time you will save yourself time and gold from not sold items. Auctioneer is also great to let you know which items go well at the auction house and which ones you should just dump at the nearest vendor.

All of you out there interested in making gold efficiently in WOW should check out the Auctioneer mod. It's really a great time saver and info tool.

Warcraft Mods and Addons - 006 - Mod Manager Software

Ok, I'm on a quest. This isn't a game quest. This is a real life quest to find the perfect mod manager software. After the latest patch I am worn out with manually researching my addons and, downloading them one by one and then reinstalling them. My perfect mod manager would allow World of Warcraft mod authors to post their mods, their current patch compliancy and the url where they could be downloaded.

With this in place the mod manager could be configured to track currently installed mods, download those that are current patch compliant and install them. Viola! Patch nightmares eliminated.

I've had a couple of responses to inquiries I've made in the forums that I'll be checking out and letting you know about. In the mean time, Happy Gaming!

Links
WoW UIManager

Warcraft Mods and Addons 005 - Auctioneer Mod

Title : Auctioneer
Version : 1.6.2
Website : auctioneer mod
Rating : Five out of Five Slices

I discuss the auctioneer mod and how it helped me earn close to 90 gold in a little over two weeks.

Auctioneer is an extremely helpful mod for the gold strapped World of Warcraft character. It allows you to scan the auction house and construct a price database that will let you choose which road you would like to take to virtual riches.

Here's my reccomended path.

1. As soon as you have Auctioneer installed and you've logged in, type /Auctioneer load always. This makes sure that Auctioneer is always running for this character.

2. Once Auctioneer is running proceed directly to your nearest auction house.

3. Select your favorite auctioneer and right click on them.

4. Click the "Scan" button on the auction interface. This will take a while but the good thing is that the newest version of Auctioneer gives you an estimated time to complete as well as a count down.

5. Find something external from the game to occupy you for the next few minutes. Once the scan is complete you are ready to begin your rapid ascent to wealth.

6. Begin by exploring your inventory. Hovering over items in your bags will now give you suggested sale prices. You can see if you have any buried treasure in your current inventory. Auctioneer will also let you know how competive your sale price is. Hint! If you are undercutting your items are much more likely to sell.

7. Start listing your items in the auction house. The key to success here is pricing correctly. With Auctioneer this is taken care of for you. Your items will sell faster and you will not mistakenly underprice items that can bring you a hefty profit.

8. Enjoy your new found wealth!

Warcraft Mods and Addons 004 - /pizza mod

I discuss the culture of convenience in our society and how pizza chains are missing a gold mine of opportunity.

Apple Store
Enterprise

Warcraft Mods and Addons 003 - Petfeeder Mod

Petfeeder Mod is absolutely required for Hunters.
