Salt Lake City Alumnae Club Holiday Party

Take time to celebrate with your Pi Phi Sisters this holiday season! We will meet for dinner at Aristo’s and then go to the Utah Alpha Chapter House to decorate their Christmas tree. Alumnae are invited to bring ornaments for the tree.

Halo Challenge

The Salt Lake City Alumnae Club Halo Challenge is an eight week challenge. Each week there will be a Pi Phi related challenge announced Monday morning on facebook, twitter and email. You have until the following Sunday at midnight to complete the challenge, photograph yourself completing the challenge and email the photograph to slcpiphi@gmail.com. You will get a point for each challenge completed with an opportunity to earn extra points. The Alumna with the most points at the end of eight weeks will have dinner purchased for her at the Alumnae Club holiday dinner at Aristo’s on December 1st.
Each week there will be an opportunity to earn an extra point by utilizing our social media sites. If you post your challenge photo on our Salt Lake City Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi facebook page or tag @SLCPiPhi in your Twitter post with your challenge photo you will get an extra point. There will also be bonus points on certain weeks if you support the Utah Alpha Chapter during their philanthropy week or attend Initiation.

Homecoming House Tours and Tailgating

Make plans to join your Sisters for Homecoming on Saturday, October 1st!!
Stop by the Chapter House for tours from Noon – 2:00 p.m. There were some great changes over the summer for you to see. Please remember no alcohol is allowed in the house.
After the tours join us at Pi Phi Alumna Peggy Baczuk’s tailgating spot until game time. Hot dogs, chips and sodas will be for sale with proceeds benefiting the Chapter House Corporation.
Family and friends are welcome to join. Hope to see you there and Go Utes!

Alumnae Initiation

Did you know there is an Alumna Initiation process? A woman who has an affinity to Pi Beta Phi through a relative or close friend, is active in her community and has similar values to those of Pi Phi would be an ideal candidate.
Our Alumnae Club has been approached by the Utah Alpha Chapter President for us to consider requesting initiation for her Mother who has expressed an interest in membership and her love for Pi Beta Phi.
The first step of this process is to be voted on by the hosting Alumnae Club, followed by a vote by the chapter and then Grand Council. We would like to include you in step one of this process by providing you the opportunity to meet the potential new Alumna member at a reception which will include a ballot vote.

Founders’ Day Brunch

On April 28, 1867, 12 women joined together in Monmouth, Illinois to form a secret college society for women, not knowing what the future would hold. Pi Beta Phi was the first national secret college society of women to be modeled after the Greek-letter fraternities of men. At a time when few women were admitted to colleges and universities, Pi Beta Phi created a feeling of unity among pioneering women.

Join us as we honor these 12 amazing women at our annual Founders’ Day brunch on Saturday, April 2^nd at the Market Street Grill, 2985 E Cottonwood Pkwy, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

We will be also honoring our Golden Arrows who were initiated in 1961 and our Diamond Arrows that were initiated in 1936.

Cost – $25.00/per woman

Join the Salt Lake City Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi as we celebrate Dr. Seuss’s Birthday with the youth at the Lied Boys & Girls Club on Friday, March 4 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.

We will be having a Speed Read event to see how many words from a Dr. Seuss book we can read in one minute!
In lieu of birthday gifts for this favorite cat of ours please bring a book or two to donate to the Boys & Girls Club.
