Review: ELF Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder

This is one of my very first bronzer palette I purchased years ago and I couldn't believe it still nicely placed in my wardrobe till now. My bestie love this so much and I eventually gave it to her ever since my makeup table expanded. So far my purchases on ELF Studio line has been fairly good for me. Out of 10 products I have only one of them which I am not favorable with.

When this palette released years ago, it got into hyped and raves online for a dupe of NARS but much more cheaper!! Without much consideration and I need my first bronzer and yes this is MINE!! Initially, during then there wasn't much bronzers for ELF Studio line.

They say:

"Create a healthy and natural glow all year long. The Blush highlights the cheeks to add a flush of color, while the Bronzer accents and contours cheekbones for beautiful definition."

Packaging:

It comes with a blush (14 o.z), a bronzer (4g) and also a big mirror which is quite useful for travel purposes. They said it may look almost like Nars packaging except the black packaging are not made of rubber. It is a plastic.

So you don't have to worry of dust. Overall, the packaging is very huge comparing to the other products I have in hand.

Ingredients:

Talc, Mica, Magnesium Stearate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Paraffinium Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Iron Oxides (CI 77491 CI 77492 CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77981), Red No.40 Lake (CI 16035), Ultramarine Blue (CI 77007)

Swatches:

The blush color is more towards coral but I find this much better than their own Candid Coral. It may look very shimmery on the pan, but it doesn't look shimmery to me. The swatch look like dark coral peach on my skin.

The bronzer look very pigmented as well. So you gotta be very light-handed if you have a very fair skin. Else it will look dirty on you. Texture for both blush and bronzer doesn't goes very smooth if you're comparing it with other high-end brand but it is not too tacky that you couldn't blend at all.

My say:

I absolutely fall in with the blusher before I love the bronzer. The blusher make my skin glow without have too strong shimmer. But it takes a while to blend it in. The main reason I bought this because I need a bronzer and I can YES!! This bronzer works perfectly good on me with an angle blush brush for contouring. Since my skin is medium color, I don't not have a big problem that this may be too dark for me.

As mentioned earlier, my bestie love this product very much especially the bronzer. (Contouring technique did a part of it). The blush and bronzer lasted me for a couple of hours on my oily skin. So, you might need some touch-up after that. Lots of reviewers compared this with the famous Nars O-blush, I gonna do a comparison on that later part.

For the price of only US$3, this contouring blush & bronzing powder definitely worth more than the price tag!! It was better than I expected with the amount I paid for. Have you ever tried this product? What's your say?

Glamabox - Glam Your Life!

The beauty box subscriptions are trending now in our blogsphere. I've been getting into this box as well for one of the brand here and now my first ever box all the way from HK - Glamabox. Glamabox started by Lisa S (our handsome actor Daniel Wu's wife *coughs), it is based in HK and had been very popular there. (Many bloggers even reviewed about it).

How this beauty box subscription works? Every month, you only need to pay S$18 for this box which has about 4-5 beauty products hand-picked by Lisa S and delivered to your doorsteps.Sounds good and easy? Ladies who love surprises and love to try on new products sample would love this box!

Another pink color box?? I like the box design but it kinda ruined during the transit from HK. Unlike Bellabox, it doesn't come with additional box inside - which is more environmental friendly i guess?? My first impression when I got this was: "why is this so light?" *disappointed* Eventually, the box I have is for Christmas/December box. (Not sure why the delivery kinda slow - I received it on Jan 2012)

Then I proceed on opening the box like pizza. *heart pumping fast*

Aww..the packaging look so cute~~~ They wrap it with pink paper and tied it with black ribbon on top. They also insert it with a welcome note in bi-lingual (English & Mandarin). But they did not showcase any of the product information which I find it quite very troublesome because I would love to know the name, usage and the price of each products.

Anyway, if you're hardworking enough, they do showcase the product info in their website.

Ta-da!! It's look sparingly-filled inside. Probably this is the reason why is very light-weighted?? But the products look very promising.

Perfective Ceuticals Anti-Imperfection Eye Therapy Cream with Growth Factor (15ml for S$140)

I can't believe they actually give this in full-size. Just in time I am looking for a new eye-cream. Hopefully this is good. :))

ElishaCoy Skin Reparing Snail Cream (7g for S$21)

I had tried ElishaCoy BB Cream for once, so this is the first time I lay my hands on their skincare products. Snail Cream has been a trending in Korea right now. I heard it was some sort of a miraculous product which is good for skin. I haven't get a chance to try any of them so I really can't wait to test this out.

Celebrity Slim Meal Substitution Soup (55g for S$5)

I dunno about this yummy slimming soup. But chicken soup for a quick launch sounds good to me in office?

Bio-Essence Bird's Nest Nutri-Collagen & Whitening Travel Pack Advancer 8ml + Essence 3g + Cream 5g

Not much to say on this as we could actually get our hands on Bio-Essence products easily here.

Overall, I think this box was quite okay. My box were full with skincare products. I wasn't too excited and happy about my first Glamabox because they actually gave me 3 creams!! One eye-cream, one repair cream and moisturizer cream. Well, I prefer if they could give me something varies instead. Although the amount I paid is definitely worth for the products given, but I seriously doesn't like the idea of getting products from same category.

So, if you are someone whom loves trying out new products and don't mind products or samples from the same product category, Glamabox is for you. I am not too sure if I would like to subscribe for long term. Probably I might give them another chance to wait for January box (which I assumed it will reach me next month) before I cancel it of. *cross-fingered*

My Addiction

Before I started my beauty blog, I am a skincare freak. Which mean buying skincare and testing them out was my addiction. After several years, I am still a skincare freak but the frequency of me testing out new skincare items has been decreased. My addiction has gone further miles to makeup now.

I believe you girls who love makeup has something that you favorable most such as blusher, eyeliner or etc. So today I gonna show you my addiction or shall I say my beauty craze stash? =P

PENCIL EYELINERS

Pencil eyeliner is the first eyeliner I own just because it is easier to use. Back to basic, among all kind of liners, I still love pencil eyeliners the most. Why? Because it's travel friendly (as I just place it inside my handbag wherever I go), easier to work with - to draw my waterline. . So I just couldn't stop buying them!

I can ensure that I have more pencil eyeliners but I am not sure where did I placed them when I took this pic. =p

NEUTRAL/ BROWN EYESHADOW PALETTES

If you've been reading my blog, you must have knew that I LOVE neutral/brown eyeshadow very much. I do find that this warm color flatters me much than others. Thus, nothing could goes wrong with neutral color. Any occasion from job interview, meeting clients, dinner date, party at club it works well. :D You don't have to doubt that if I've seen a pretty nice brown color palette, I'll buy. Oh! I do have some brown singles as well.

SLEEK MAKEUP

Brand addiction?? I've been buying Sleek Makeup ever since their launched until current few months when I changed my job, I couldn't keep track with it anymore. They have released too many collections. I have the Au Natural collection as well. Their quality is as good as MAC but they offer better price which is why it's very well known nowadays. Which is also why I kept buying.. :(

MAKEUP BRUSHES

One beauty tool I will never stop buying will definitely be makeup brushes. Even though you have one blush brush, but it just wasn't enough. "What if you washes your blush brush? Then you don't have an extra?" LOL! When I first learn how to makeup, I started of with affordable good brushes like Ecotool, ELF or Beauty of Essence. And these brushes are simply good enough. Probably this is another reason why I can purchase more??

NARS BLUSHERS

Tell me who doesn't adore NARS?? Their blushers collection are one of the best I could get. They called it: 'The Queen Of Blushers' which is NARS Orgasm. Their pigmented and smooth quality which flatters most skin colors bring the raves on.. :) (did mentioned they have this amazing 'names' on blushers too?)

PRETTY LOOKING BLUSHERS

I have to admit that I bought these blushers because they're very pretty!!! Just by looking them, it makes me happy.

I did my Nice & Naughty List 2010 last year after my favorite beauty blogger, Jen did so. I decided to list down the same list for this year and drafted this post out a few weeks ago. Apparently, Jen did the same thing too. (You guys just gonna check her blog- she's awesome!) Since Christmas is over, Santa won't make it for my list. Therefore, Smurf is the one who's going to coordinate the award list for this year. ( I 'smurf' you!!)

The list featured top 5 favorite products and 5 most disappointing products for this year. Let's Smurf bring you the Naughty list!!

NAUGHTY LIST

1) Herbal Essences Shampoo

I tried Herbal Essences Shampoo ages ago and it wasn't a good experience for me. After years, I decided to give it a shot as I believe they should have improve their formula and packaging too. And I didn't know why, I love the smell of the shampoo but every time after wash, it makes my hair sooo DRY...I am so sorry for you all who love this but I just didn't think this works for me.

2) Maybelline Great Lash Mascara

I love Maybelline mascaras!! It is my first mascara brand and I love them. I bought this mascara around RM10 during promo so it's definitely cheap!! But seriously, this mascara is very disappointing. I am not sure what formula did they used for this but when I applied, it does a very little lengthening and volume on my lashes. It make my lashes feels droppy and it clumps!! Gosh..Don't mentioned about the flakes and smudge as well. *sigh*

3) Maxi Eyes Contact Lens

I bought this from Spectacle Hut last month during promo and I swear I hate them!! Not because they doesn't make you look good, it's because it is not comfortable at all and it gives me red eyes!! Maybe I am exaggerating but I got an eye infection weeks ago because of this contact lens. I am not going to use them anymore despite the price. Trust me, GEO lens works far better than this and even more comfortable.

4) Avon Glimmersticks Diamond Eye Liner

I love their normal Glimmerstick eyeliner but....This glimmersticks Diamond I have is very very disappointing. Why? It is very hard to work with. It glides smoothy and it's very soft that it tends to break off easily while you apply. Ouch..And since it called Diamond, i would expect some sparkly effect but it gives me a neon effect instead. Not sparkles or shining at all. :(

5) Love More Aqua Brulee Intensive Hydrating Care

As this was introduced in the famous Taiwan Queen TV Show, I am convinced to get this. When I apply foundation/BB Cream after this, I saw cracks on my skin. Oh no!! My skin's still very dry. I do enjoy the gel texture on massaging into my skin, but it does not gives me what I am expecting and the price is not cheap at all for S$26.90. Even Garnier Aqua Defense Essence works better. :p

NICE LIST

1) Clarisonic Mia Sonic Skin Cleansing System

I do not need to talk much about this as I knew everyone of you here had heard so much about this. I bought Clarisonic Mia approximately about a month ago and start using it everyday now. And it's my staple everyday now. At least with this, my skin's feel much more cleaner and clearer now. I'll probably do a review soon.

2) EOS Lip Balm

This cute little round ball is my new obsession!! Besides it's an organic lip balm, it makes my lips moisture, softer and smoother. Ever since I had this ezcema on my lips, I've been using this and it's really yummy and sweet that sometime I love to lick my own lips. (Gosh, this sounds so wrong...)

3) Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Cream

This is one of the drugstore BB cream I am very impressed with. It doesn't left me with any white cast and matches my skintone very well. I used this to work everyday and it doesn't give me any breakouts. Two thumbs up for this awesome product! I gonna review this too..

4) Neutrogena Fine Fairness Deep Whitening Mask

I heard the raves of this mask since ages ago but it was tooo expensive to purchase them. Until recently when Watson is selling this in pieces for like $2.90/pcs, without any hesitation I picked this for trial. And guess what, I am sooo in love with this mask. It makes my skin felling so soft and so smooth~~ No breakouts at all. And so then, whenever there's promotion in Watson I'll hunt for this.

5) Kiss Me Kirei Hada Sunblock

This is one of my favourite sunblock It gives a pearly glow and really blurs pores, with slight shimmer, and really gives a dewy skin effect. Since the texture is very watery and powdery feel, it doesn't make your skin feel oily and sticky!! No more smelly sunblock smell and i like how it can be use as makeup base making my a bit tan face feeling so natural too.

2011 Year End Hauls~

In a few more days year 2011 comes to an end. For a shopaholic like me, the best always come at the end. Why? Because it's Year End Sales!! Sales are crazy everywhere especially Boxing Day. =D

I haven't been stepping out of mall and get some stuff ever since I got my new job. Crowd. Working hours. Meh!! So, most of the stuff I purchased with just one click - internet. Internet shopping is real addictive isn't it?? Look at what you like, click click click, and wait for your parcel. Forget about the bills! It's end of year 2011! (What an excuse, heh?)

And here's my accumulated hauls since November. I've posted these few pics on FB and Twitter as well. So, it's time for me to share with my bloggers and readers. =)

My hauls from United States!! This little haul cost me a bomb especially if you saw it - Clarisonic Mia!! I've been putting it on my wishlist for the longest time after SueLynn and SongLing raved it!! And now it's finally MINE!!! *jumping of joy* And got some random brushes from Real Technique, ELF, Milani eyeliner and UD Anni palette.

And so during Luxasia sales last month, the crowd was crazy!!!!! I wanted to get some stuff from RMK and P&J but it's just too crowded and I do not want to be squeeze at the counter so I walked off with only a few fragrance. Those Marc Jacobs & Color of Bennetons were given to my friends as Christmas presents. So, the Chloe is for me!! (Actually I was intending to sell it after bf gave me one for Xmas. Any kind takers?)

Spectacles Hut had a good promotion on Maxi Eyes color contact lens - Buy 2 free 2 at $56. It was a good bargain but.......... After one use, I am not going to use them anymore. Bad experience though. So I have no idea what I gonna do with the other 3 boxes.

Smashbox WishList Set from Ryan!! And Benefit The Big 10 from Sephora. I have been debating to get this or Benefit Project Flawless. Why?? Because I wanted the Bella Bamba!! I am so loving the Coralista I bought last year. But the full size can last me for a very long time and so...Big 10 won with more choices for me to play with.

Urban Decay Friends & Family Sales....including palettes now. Although the discounted rate had been decreased very much. Another UD palettes?? I didn't remembered I have one previously. Gosh!! Another extra?? Hmmm~~~~

Few days ago, we have Watson Member's sale again. Nothing much to buy except I did some re-stock item for my skincare. =)) I guess it's time for me to share my latest skincare routine. What do you think?

Boxing day with my BellaBox!!

Life's been a very busy and hectic for me that I've been slacking on blogging. Nevertheless, I hope everyone of you have a GREAT Christmas!!! By now I guess most of you have snagged something over the boxing day sales. Ain't you?? It's kinda sad to say that we do not have any boxing day sale over here!! Cons of staying another part of the world. =(

My boxing day started the day before just because I couldn't wait to 'un-boxed' all my gifts!! (Well, I don't have much gifts either). Let me tell you, my biggest box among all is my pinky cute box from BellaBox.

I've mentioned about Bellabox previously here, and the month of December is a Christmas party month!! Wait, did I mentioned to you about November box?? I guess no..but I'll briefly tell you what's the best over there.

As usual, the box with the brown stripy box which I find it good to store my stuff. :) They named in Party In Style for the December box.

And here's what I expecting.....woooo......

I finally see more cosmetic items in my box now!!!!! Although I do love skincare very much, but in terms of experimenting new products I would prefer to have more cosmetics!!
Tell me if you don't. =p

This month the box seems to stuff full with items!!

The item that draw my attention the most Eylure Eye Lashes. OMG!! It looks so soft and natural....I can't wait to put them on. I've always seen them around at Watson stores but I just dunno why I didn't pick it up. Probably when you're in Watson, there's too much item to pick and this may put as the oppurtunity cost of $10.90. =p

If you have a problem of insomnia recently, this might be a great help for you. This is the first time I encountered myself with potion like this - Faust's Asleep Potion. (Wow!! It does sounds so like one the potion Professor Snape made so Harry would stay quietly at his dorm instead of wandering around at night) I personally wish I have an Awake Potion instead - I do have a serious problem of waking up every morning to work.

This month Bellabox included us OPI - Not Like The Movies miniature. This color is feature in the OPI Katy Perry Collection. I already have this color, but of course I wouldn't mind to have an extra. ^_^

One the best item in the box - Savoir Faire Lipstick (Risque). The packing of Savoir Faire Cosmetic are awesome!! I personally like how sleek and classy the lipstick packaging look like. *Thumb ups*
I got myself a bright deep red color lipstick which mark my first ever red lipstick. Trust me!! I don't buy red lipstick at all because I don't wear them or probably I don't look good with them.

Look at the box above, you may noticed one pink ribbon packaging there. It was nicely wrapped with some pieces of Sothys samples. I heard of this brand as a famous facial salon, but never get to try them before. And so my chance is given with $50 Gift Certificate. =) *jumping of excitement*

Guess it's time to pamper myself for a great beginning of 2012!! And lastly, Bellabox team actually thrown in a bag of Jelly Beans for us!! It's soooo sweet of them isn't it??

After 3 months subsciptions, every month $15. I am totally happy with it. Look at the box this month, the lipstick itself cost about $64 one which already worth 3 times the box!!

Believe me or no - I've Got Bieber Fever??

What comes into your mind with this title?? I've Got Bieber Fever but not the one you thought of course. No doubt I do listen to Justin Bieber's song and I find some of them quite nice but I've yet to come to an extend that I would screams and jump of excitement about him. No doubt if I am a few years younger I might be :p (My time was Backstreets Boys back then)

Honestly, I am amused me when Nicole by OPI launched their 'One Less Only Girl' Collection and Justin Bieber as the endorser. I couldn't come to think of it why Nail Polish gonna do with him???? Does he puts them on????

But.......if I were age 15 and looking for a nail polish to buy at counter, I'll probably get this (with Justin Beiber's face on the promotional card) because I do have a fever isn't it? Thumbs up for the marketing team!! That's not all, when you buy any of this nail polish, part of the profit will donate into the fund of Pencil of Promise Organization (PoP). On the other hand, you're doing charity too =))

Out of 8 different colors inspired by Justin Bieber's song in the "One Less Only Girl" Collection, I was given I've Got Bieber Fever from Secret Allure Nails. It stated that this gorgeous dark plum is super contagious. By looking at the picture, you might doubt so.

The glass packaging of Nicole By OPI in this collection comes along with a promotional card or tag with Justin Bieber's face on which my boy asked "How come JB's face on your nail polish?" XD Eventually Nicole by OPI has adopted a new brush shape with this collection too. The brush is more a tapered end which is quite weird to use at first. But after a few stroke I am loving it!!!

I am quite surprised how the color turns out on my nails. It looks exactly like the color in the bottle but better :) I like how deep the purple turns out on my nail. The texture is very smooth and easy for application especially with the new brush tip. (I'll upload more pictures with natural lighting tomorrow for you to compare).

What's the cute PINK box??

Weeks ago, I have a note of parcel undelivered from Mr. Postman. Without any idea what will that be, I went to the post office and got my parcel. To my surpised, I got this PINK box!! (which is almost size of A4) Most people at the post office were looking at my pink color box and wondering what is that. *blush*

Have you heard of the famous Birch box from United States where users pay a certain amount of monthly subscription and receive the latest makeup samples from high end brands such as Stila, NARS, Kiehls, Smashbox and more. Early this month Singapore had launched it own version of Birch box called Bellabox!! And the pink color box is my FIRST BELLABOX!! :))

It was written on the box that I've gotten the Box 1 out of 3 different boxes. Feeling excited to see what's inside?? To my surprised here is it. Another box for you to open up!!

My brother commented that the open box above look alike the pizza box. Lol!! Initially the pink box are used to deliver and protect the actual box. For those who know me very well, I am a boxes collector and I LOVE boxes!!!

The glossy brown stripes box is quite simple and sleek but somehow I wish it could be thicker. Nevertheless, I am still loving them. Open sesame!!

They named this as Limited Edition BellaBox. (Till now I am still unsure why they call this Limited Edition). They also inserted a Welcome note and showcase the product information for us to read.

In a box, we received a sample of 5 different products from Aveda, Esprit D'Oscar, OPI and Twistband.

Twistband - I am kinda disappointed with this. When I opened the box, I did not know what is this brown thingy for. No tag, no name, nothing written and I have to dig out one by one under all the white confetti. Later when I realized it was Twistband, I was again being little upset that my box came with only ONE color which is only Brown and without the 'Twistband' tag. (I want pink!)

Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo 50ml - This peppermint shampoo smells truly awesome although I have yet to test them on. The retail price for this is $26 for 250ml.

OPI Avojuice Skin Quenchers 30ml - This hand and body lotion from OPI. I got mine in Raspberry flavor which it's taste good!! The retail price for this is $25.50 for 200ml.

Oscar De La Renta Esprit D'Oscar - The roll on perfume!! I never heard of this brand before this and after testing them, seriously the smell is truly classical!! :))

A total amount of $15 subcription every month is quite reasonable for me especially this inclusive of delivery to your doorstep. Postage especially this parcel is quite expensive in Singapore. (I find postage in Malaysia way cheaper :p)

Overall, my first BellaBox was okay to me but honestly I expected more as if they could include more cosmetics item in. And of course the Twistband that bring the downside of it. Since this is my first box, I am anticipating of my coming November box next week.

Review: ES Fake Eyelashes from KK Centerhk

Fake eyelashes are always the best tool to make your eyes look bigger and feel like a doll. I don't usually use false lashes for daily makeup but for photoshoot and dinner, it is a must! I am quite fussy in term of the quality of fake lashes especially the band. Those fake lashes with rough and thick band are a NO-NO for me. So when KKCenterhk sent me a box of fake lashes, without a thought I picked up the fabulous fake lashes brand.

ES are well-known of their soft band fake lashes and it was made in Korea. ^_^ I actually chose ES A166 10 Pairs Black Luxuriant False Eyelashes. (Don't ask why I chose this)

One box comes with 10 pairs of fake eyelashes. Estimated for one pair that could last you around 3-4 wears which means you could wear up to 30-40 times with these lashes. I find this pretty affordable and good for it priceof US$14.22.

Look at how thin and soft the band and the fake eyelashes look. From the picture above, the lashes look indeed very natural and long. The best thing is it is very soft and light.

And this is how it look on my eyes after putting them on.

The band is very light and very comfortable to wear on. The eyelashes look pretty natural except it was kinda looonggg for me. :p

It look very natural from the box, but it's kinda dramatic for me. If you need something which is natural but much more suitable for prom or photoshoot, this fake eyelashes is good enough.

Review: NYC Blushable Creme Stick Blush in South St. Seashell

I always wanted to review my first cream blusher ever from New York Color (N.Y.C)!! N.Y.C Blushable Creme Stick has always been around the drugstore and highly raved by most bloggers. I bought this creme blush early of this year (or i think last year?). My color was in South St. Seashell since it was preferred by most darker skintone like mine - NC30.

Packaging:

This cream blush is packaged like a lip balm where you turn and twits the bottom so the product would raise the stick up. very huge I shall say. It comes with a total of 8 grams of product!! I reckon this might takes me forever to finish. O_o Although it may come with a huge product but it is quite travel friendly. =)

Swatches:

South St. Seashell is a matte coral peachy pink which look very natural on me!! It was the right choice of NC30 to get this color. If you noticed the picture above, I somehow find the package color matches/ very similar to the color of the product.

From the swatches it may seems a slight shimmery, but it definitely look glowy on cheek and this cream blush is super creamy and blendable. =)

My say:

As much as I love my Stila convertible, I am hooked with cream blushes now! NYC Blushable Creme Stick Blush is very creamy and pigmented. The NYC Creme blush may be a bit dry for dry skin but it glides on skin nicely and it very easy to blend over your cheek. I dotted about 2 - 3 of the products on my skin, and spread it with my fingers for much more natural looking.

After a few blends with my fingertips, viola!! Pretty isn't it?? ^_~

The staying power of this blush is about 3 - 4 hours which I reckon is not bad. If you feel the color is not pigmented for a blush, these may act as a blusher base. You may top it with your favorite powder blush!! :))

For the price of US$3.99, (sometimes it may comes with discount) this cream blush different worth a buy!!! If you plan to try out cream blush, give NYC Blushable Creme Stick a buy. For 8g products, it may last you forever!! HaHa XD One thing about this brand, it's very hard to reach especially for me staying in Asia countries. NYC should really consider distributing them here. =D

2nd Visit to Cres Wellness

Ever since I tried Cres Wellness’s facial treatment, I’m hooked!! I totally agree that woman should spent sometime to pamper herself :) This time round, I went back to Cres Wellness at Tebrau City, Johor Bahru for my second treatment for Ultra Rejuvenation Crystallinear Therapy. If you’ve read my previous post, I’m quite satisfied with the facial treatment.

I always believe after facial treatment is very important especially for this Ultra Rejuvenation Crystallinear Therapy which you need to apply lotsa hydrating products.

Review: Kao Biore Marshmallow Whip Facial Foam

Hello girls!!! Anyone missed me?? Life's been really busy and hectic for me once again...Sorry for being MIA almost a month. I'm on the midst of moving house therefore room are in mess and too many things to be done. :( Please bear with me for a moment ok?

Does anyone one of you here loves eating marshmallow??

I believe most of you have seen the latest product from Kao Biore - The Marshmallow Whip Facial Wash.

When thesamplestore sent me this, my first impression was: "It was sooo cute...look exactly like egg shape"

They says:

Marshmallow Whip Facial Wash boasts collagen (help moisturise the skin) and ultra fine, high-density foam. The high-density foam is supposed to act as a “cushion” between the hand and face during cleansing, reducing pressure and stress on the skin. Most Japanese girls uses foaming net to foam up their cleanser which can minimal stress causing on face. (Probably that's why they have good-oh-skin?)

Ingredients:

A 150ml pump bottle come very easy for usage. And one full bottle could pump up to 150 pumps :) Although it was very easy-to-use, but I find it a bit difficult for me to bring it along for travelling.

Directions:
Firstly, wet your hand and press 1-2 pumps from the bottle. There's no lathering needed like the normal facial foam. Here's how it look like after 1 -2 pumps for one time usage. Look how cute and dense it was. It turns out very dense like mousse, very fine in texture and more fluffy unlike the usual facial foam where it is very watery. I'm comparing it with my favorite Hada Labo Facial foam (as below pic).

My says:

I have to say this facial foam did quite good on my skin after using this for 2 weeks. It cleanse my skin pretty well without leaving any residue. My usual foam cleanser usually left my skin feeling tight but this Marshmallow Whip left my skin felt clean, smooth and supple as below pic. :) The best thing is it doesn't break me out.

Overall, it was a good product for those who wanted a simple cleanser who doesn't have any bad acne problem. For S$13.90 one bottle, it's quite reasonable especially when you can use it up to 150times (for 1 pump each). ^_^ You may purchase this bottle at our local Watson store.

The boy has been commented that I need exercise. I asked him why?? He mentioned that my tummy had some excessive things that I don't need. Those things he meant is FAT!!! Something that male homosapien need to take note of: "It's a SIN to tell your gf that she's gaining weight!!!" (Don't ask how I reacted after that :p) After then, when I was asked to review a slimming product without a second of thought I replied YES!!

My say:

This cream absorb into skin about 1 minute after massing leaving a burning sensation on the area you'd massaged. Not sure why hand does feel burning after that too. - My palm need slimming too? O_o If you couldn't stand the burning sensation, please proceed to wash your hands thoroughly after massaging. You don't have to rinse all only the hand will do, if you wanted.

You can massage places as below suggested:

After about 10-20 minutes, when the burning sensation finally subdue. Your skin will turns a bit sticky due to the essence and once it dries leaving your skin smooth and slim.

Result?? Let the picture do the judgement for you. I did this on my flabby arms and I lost about 1-2cm.

Amazing isn't it?? I am loving this products!! I actually used it on my tummy and I lost 1.5inches!!! Simple and you only need less than an hour per use for this. :)) Save your time and also your money. Say good-bye to slimming centres..LOL!!

Swatches: MAC Semi-Precious Pearl Mineralize Skinfinish

Every year during Summer - the month of July, MAC Cosmetics would have beautiful colors invented for their famous Mineralize products such as eyeshadow, blushers and skinfinish. I'm ain't MAC-addict but I am definitely addicted to their Mineralize SkinFinish (MSF). Ever since I purchased my first MSF years ago- I'm hooked!!

No idea what Mineralize Skinfinish does? It is a luxurious velvet-soft powder with high-frost metallic finish. Smoothes on: adds buffed-up highlights to cheeks, or an overall ultra-deluxe polish to the face.

Therefore when MAC released four MSF in their latest Semi-Precious collection, I ran down to their store as soon as I can to check it out. I tested all four on my skin and decided that Pearl look best on me!!

Packaging:

As usual, the MAC MSF comes in a black plastic packaging with a dome look-a-like.

What's so awesome about this is that 6.5g of the products would probably take you a while to hit the pan!!

The latest MSF are slightly different as it comes with an outer ring of one color, and the center is a blob of marbleized color meant to look like a crystal. But I personally prefer the previous MSF look-a-like galaxy/planet :p Nevertheless, I love the colors!!

Base: Beige Champagne. Innercircle: White, Plum, Bronze Blended: Slight pink/bronze

From left to right: Outer base (a highlight color), Inner circle: Bronze, Plum and Blended both colors. I like how both colors blend together!! It look so pink yet bronzy. Very natural indeed.

If you noticed, the color are quite different subject to the light. The color look darker with flash than under the natural light. The color is very versatile that you can even use it as eyeshadow, highlight, bronzer and blusher!! It's all depending on which color you pick and how you mix the color.

My say:
The colour look absolutely awesome on my skin. Thus, it's a very rare piece of colour you can find. The outer circle could act as an amazing highlighter and inner circle as a bronzer (if you have lighter skin). Initially I was planning to get Rose Quartz since the swatches look great online, but it was too pinkish for my skintone and I have lotsa similar colour in my stash - easily dupe.

Here's a pic I tried applying with a bit more highlight color and a bit of bronze. You might think that it may look very shimmery, but I find the sparkle and shimmer is tolerable. More towards on enhancing the glow on your cheek. :)

Comparing this to my previous MSF collection, it tends to have tiny fall outs on the pan when I swirled my brush on. Probably the powder were finely milled and smooth. The color pretty suits my NC25- NC30 skin isn't it giving a nice healthy flush? :))

Here's another pic taken from my phone - it look more pinkish because I pick up the inner color more.

Overall, I am very happy with my purchase of this MSF. MAC MSF never fail to make me look awesome!! This is the reason why I am addicted to MSF. Do share with me what's your though with MSF. :))

Review & Swatches: Lip Ice Sheer Color in Shimmer & Strawberry

Lip Ice is one of the famous brand of drugstore lip balm and also my first lip balm I got!! I bought lip ice as my first lip balm (about 10 year ago??) and it almost look the same as now. . With the pinky red packaging and sheer color. Till recently, Mentholatum’s Lip Ice had launched color. two new Lip Ice Sheer Color Lip Moisturizer - Shimmer & Strawberry and they sent me these for review purposes.

They say:

Lip Ice Sheer Color transform your lips to a natural shade of beautiful pink, goes on clear, then changes to subtle pink that enhances the natural beauty of your lips. It enhanced with natural BEESWAX formula, natural ingredients and effective anti-oxidant.

Packaging:

It comes with a plastic turn twist packaging which it's kinda standard for a lip balm except it's much slimmer and vertically longer. Lol..The pinky red packaging is very girly, but I personally prefer it to come with more cute animation print on them. :))

My say:

The moment I open the packaging, I smell yummy strawberry!! So yummy that you wanna eat them as a sweet. Haha XD

Shimmer is very sheer in pink and comes with tint of shimmery on the balm itself. But when you applied it on your lips, it turns out a different color which is darker red. This balm comes with a little strawberry flavor. While Strawberry comes with a matte color with no shimmer at all. Just like a normal lip balm.

This lip balm does work very well on moisturizing my lips, giving it a nice sheen of pink gloss. The only thing which that bugged me is that red stain doesn't turn out to be the color that suits my skintone much. I would prefer it to look little less red.

Here's the pic before and after. It may look very light in pic, but in real life it's very pinkish.

Shimmer:
I like the shimmery tint it look on my lips. It look slight glossy like lipgloss. But I do get comments from my colleague saying that I am wearing lipstick instead.

Strawberry:

This lipbalm look absolutely matte except i noticed it kinda make my cracked lips more obvious. >.<"

Nevertheless, the color lasting is definitely awesome!! Despite after hours applying it in office and drinking, the lip stain is still there. =)

Review: Dollywink Limited Edition Eyelash Set

I've been missing the blogsophere!! Do you miss me?? Not sure why but I missed your comments!! If you guys happened to drop by my blog, please comment - I really miss all of you. =)

If you read my previous haul post, I actually bought this Limited Edition Dollywink Eyelashes Set. If you're a fan of Tsubasa Matsuwaka - Japanese famous Popteen Gyaru model, I bet you should not miss this item!!

The packaging of this is pretty cute and huge compare to the others!! As it comes with 2 different pair of lashes and the limited edition eyelash casing.

I actually doesn't find it very special as this set consists of No.2 Sweet Girly (Upper Lash) and No.6 Baby Cute (Lower Lash). But the focus goes to the purple eyelash casing as the normal one is in pink color. Beat me! I just couldn't resist temptation from my friend that convinced me to get this.

It comes with a small tube of pink polka dot DollyWink eyelash glue. Seriously I tried using this glue, it doesn't work very well to me. Wonder how did the normal brush glue works?

I hardly wear false lashes just because I am a lazy girl. :p Thus, this gonna be my first time using Dollywink eyelashes. Quite anticipating of the result. I measured the Dollywink No.2 Upper Lash on my lid and find it quite long for my eyes.

So I snipped it off to match my eye length and apply my favorite eyelash glue on the band.

And voila!! This is how it look like on my eyes!! Amazing!! It look so natural and beautiful on my eyes!! *jumping of joy*

I absolutely love this No.2 Sweet Girly (Upper Lash)!! The band is not too stiff or dense, it is easier to stick it to your lashes and it's very comfortable!!

I tried on the lower lashes too. The No.6 Baby Cute (lower lashes) is soooo adorable. It comes with 6 individual lashes. I would suggest you to use a tweezer to keep hold your baby lashes so it will stick nicely on your underlashes. Else, you'll be like clumsy me I lost one of the individual lashes somewhere that I couldn't find it because it was too small.

I only managed to put 5 individual lashes on. It's totally depends on what kind of look you want to achieve. You may also stick 2 -3 lashes on the outer lower eyes.

Voila!! Cute dolly eyes!! Now you can achieve Tsubasa Dolly's eyes :)

I didn't managed to place the second lashes nicely as it was really very small to stick it on. But don't worry, it won't fall off unless if you rub your eyes really hard which I doubt so.

And here's the purple casing. It supposed to be light purplish, not sure why my camera couldn't capture the right color. The cute eyelash casing where you can store your lashes.

You do not have to keep them in their original casing anymore. This casing divide into two compartment where you can put your both pair of lashes differently. Cool isn't it?

This is the first time I tried gyaru style with both upper and underlash. The boy said I look very different in it, but I have to admit it's cute~~~ Despite of the packaging, casing and even look! Overall, I really think this Dollywink Limited Edition Eyelash Set is worth to have one. For about S$25 with 2 pairs of lashes and one eyelash casing, it's definitely good bargain!!

Approximately a month ago, there's a Shiseido Private Sale at their office. So me and my bestie when down all the way after work to grab the opportunity. It's time to restock all my skincare products. The bargain was awesome that my total damage come down to only $150 for all..

Watson had finally bring it the Limited Edition Dollywink eyelashes set. I couldn't resist the pricing and the packaging so I bought it home with me together with other lashes I got from Japan.

I recently noticed that the authorized Canmake cosmetics distributor office is located right below my office. When they have clearance sales offer last month, I couldn't resist the temptation and get these home during my lunch hour. More blushers to add to my makeup stash now.

I've been addicted to Sleek Makeup very badly that I couldn't stop buying them. Sleek latest summer collection - Meditterean collection. And I'm still waiting my Carribean collection to reach me!! (Did I mentioned I am in love with the 'Oh So Special' Palette too?? ^_^

For stock up purposes. The best hair products that I've been using...The Essential Hair Care. I must really recommend this to you. Trust me, get their hair mask and serum you'll never regret!

The Watson straightener was a great bargain!! S$9.90 for it definitely doesn't hurt my wallet. I haven't get to try them yet and see how it works. Oh ya! I got myself some slimming products...Super cool product! Shall review this very soon.

This mask definitely smells good. A light scented red wine that calm your mood at night. :)

But texture wise, the tissue cloth seems very hard and not smooth. First 5 minutes of masking, I feel itchy and uncomfortable because of the texture. If you notice the picture above, the area near my nose and mouth is very dry. The essence of the mask is quite inconsistent I should say.

My review:

When I first removed them and try putting it on my skin, the essence practically dripping off. I was like: "Oh no!!" I love my mask that soaked with lotsa essence but not dripping- because it can be very messy. The ear hook and chin coverage is pretty awesome!! Initially, you have to stretch your mask towards your ears and another which I believe it provided the lifting effect. I do well, my skin is lifted and stretched during the process.

Overall, beside some lifting effect and hydrating, I don't see any significant effect on my skin. And the drawback of this mask is the texture which is not smooth. It may look dripping at first, but after 20 minutes the mask dries up and left no essence for you to smooth it on your other body part. :((

Comparing this to the Intensive Firming mask, this mask seems scentless. I couldn't smell anything even after masking for 30 minutes.

But this texture of the mask cloth is much more smoother. At least this doesn't dries up fast and not itchy. I personally prefer this better. :p

My review:

I was expecting too much as the intensive firming mask. But this mask actually goes very different. The essence doesn't dries up much which there is some leftover drip on mask that you can smooth it to your neck, hands and legs after masking.

What makes the best of this, the brightening effect is significant!! Look at the before and after pic!! The redness and dull skin had been revived - looking fresh and bright. :))

Overall, I prefer this mask better than the intensive firming. Although I do not feel that the lifting effect is prominent, but definitely make my skin extra bright!! Review: Hada Labo Retinol Lifting + Firming Lotion

As times goes by, despite of work stress, my skin's been aging faster than I can noticed. That's the time I noticed I really need an anti-aging and lifting products!! And here comes the angel from Hada Labo sending me a Hada Labo Retinol Lifting + Firming Lotion. I bet most of you have tried the bestselling Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid (SHA) Moisturising Lotion for hydrating and 'tiong-tiong' skin.

Today I gonna bring you a 'One Drop unlocks a beautiful ageless-looking skin'. Hada Labo’s latest Lifting and Firming range with 3 premium and potent ingredients: Vitamin A retinol, Hydrolyzed Collagen, and Hada Labo's Signature ingredient, Super Hyaluronic Acid (SHA), to restore youthful bounciness for your skin.

Packaging:

The usual packaging of Hada Labo lotion 170ml with the flip open lid. But I do like the red bottle look like. Much more unique than the SHA. :p '

Ingredients:

The 3 key ingredients (as marketed) are Retinol Vitamin A, Collagen and Super Hyaluronic Acid.

Texture:

The lotion is very light and watery except this lotion color is semi-opaque and off white. So basically you only need 4 - 5 drops per usage. Use twice a day after cleansing face. Apply on palms and gently pat onto skin until thoroughly absorbed.

Review:
Update (22 July 2011): I've been using this for weeks and I could say it's been doing okay for me. As usual, you need to pat the lotion on your face till it absorb. One thing I like about this, I personally felt it was less sticky than the SHA version.

Probably it is my first time using anti-aging product, I felt my skin goes instantly smooth and firm after patting. The effect of lifting was quite good that I could felt my skin 'tighter' and firmer but not too significant where you can see with your bare eyes. At least when you touched, you feel your skin smoother and firmer =)

Overall, this is a good product if you think you need to start anti-aging products for the first time like me!! :) Though honestly I don't it will works much for my mum's level (she should not read this). Not much anti-aging effect I can see with this product, but it does maintain your moisture level leaving your skin smooth. One plus point for Hada Labo products are they did not contains any mineral, fragrance and oil which I think it's awesome and works good on sensitive skin. You may get this at Watson at $25.90.

Honestly of all my life, I've only been to facial for twice. I repeat yes, is twice!! *rolled eyes* The main reason is because I was quite afraid that the product they used might backfires on me (touchwood). Secondly, I do not like the idea of the hard talk sales persuading you to sign up for package. Until recently, my skin's been aging (lol)..Getting a lot of work stress doesn't help my skin at all and here comes the rescue team from the famous Cres Wellness.

As I mentioned, this is my first visit to Cres Wellness (Tmn Desa Tebrau branch). Therefore I am quite anticipating for their service, products and facial treatment. I was greeted by the branch manager and my beautician with a cup of tea while filling in my details. Unfortunately, the day I went their machine for skin analysis is down =( Nevertheless, the branch manager gave me her overall analysis based on her experience. She diagnosed that I have sinus/ nose sensitivity (which is true) and de-hydrated skin.

And there I was recommended to have their newly launched Ultra Rejuvenation Crystallinear Therapy.

And I was bought to a room specially designed for each customer for privacy. My first impression was "wow! it's quite big and I like it!!" I changed on to towel wrap and putting my stuff into the locker inside the room itself. It is way better than having the locker outside. :)

I was told that Ultra Rejuvenation Crystallinear Therapy will take about 2hours with lotsa massage on skin. The following is the steps during the whole facial process:

1) Double Cleanse,Toner & Enzymatic Masque Scrub

2) Extraction (using cold steamer - my first time trying the cold one and I love this better!)

3) Matrix Masque - enriched collagen fortified masque that hydrates, tones and refines. Stimulates collagen production for a firmer and more youthful facial contour and skin elasticity

4) Anti- Aging Essence - helps to revive skin cell, restores damage tissue and stimulates new cell growth, making skin look young and glowing

5) Natural quartz crystal massage together with the essence - There's different crystal used during the massage which I was being told was the Healing Crystals and Chakra Healing Stone.

6) Hydrating essence with massage using the nano technology ultrasound machine.
(The result was immediate after the massage using the machine)

The After effect was with the white essence on. The lifting result comparing to the right side is incredible isn’t it?? (The red box is a arch drawing for comparison)

7) Whitening essence with the enchanting therapeutic Chakra Massage.

I felt my skin look much fairer, brighter and much smoother after the facial. And I don't look that sleepy anymore!! (I have this super dark eyes circle- my family trademark ="( ) Anyway. here’s some closed-ups for your detailed result:

My dark eyes circles reduced a bit and my skin are much smoother and glowy. ^_^ The red small pimples and sensitivity on my nose significantly reduced. Even my pores are smaller and I felt skin much more hydrated. :)

You are advised to drink more water and hydrates your skin because the nano technology machine may turns quite ‘heaty’ for some users. I did quite a few hydration mask myself at home to maintain the elasticity and the result of the facial itself. Overall, I am quite satisfied with this new facial especially the massage technique used. If you asked if I were to have this treatment again, YES!! Before I end my post, here's a pic I took during my visit. The steam bath!! If you're a workaholic that doesn't have time to do exercise and sweat, steam bath is your choice. Is better than going for sauna because sauna dries up your skin badly despite the heat.

Review: OPI Black Shatter + Giveaway

As told I never into any nail polishes because I do not have nice nails. I have a baby short nails though. So I broke my own record this year in hauling some nail polish previously and I got addicted!! Initially I get hooked with more nail polish and get the OPI Black Shatter from Katy Perry Collection. Need not to mention how famous the Black Shatter are (you can see it's in the blogsphere)

Black Shatter which is "a deep asphalt black with a shattered texture" which you simply paint a thin layer of the black varnish over any color of your choice and watch the black coat shatter and crack into leopard print effect as it dries. Black Shatter was launched together with Katy Perry Nail Collection.

Black Shatter with OPI Teenage Dream

Ingredients/ Texture:
OPI Black Shatter is very thick and doesn’t apply smoothly. It dries extremely fast in matte and cracked within seconds after application. So it is advisable not to apply layer and layer again. The size of the crack it depends on how thick is your nail polish applied. Example shown below pics:

Isn't both 4 colors come with different size of crackle and dries matte in color?

Application Tips:

Before applying the OPI Black Shatter top coat, you need to let your base color to dry completely. Else it cracked together with your base color leaving your nails transparent. (Green nail above)
Since it dries very fast, you gonna apply really quick on your nails and it is advisable to apply only one coat else you have a cracked blackish nails which is really awful. (Pink nail above - 2nd layer)
The shattering effect is between seconds after application. It's pretty fun to watch and the cracked pattern are very unique and differ each times you applies.
Black shatter dries in matte and it may chipped off very fast, so applying a top coat would make it look better and last longer. (as picture shown below)

The color definitely look much better and brighter with top coat. :)

My say:
I absolutely adores this black shatter!! I find the this black shatter works better over a The shattering effect glittery holographic base colour or probably a bright neon base color would be awesome too!! The only drawback I find it dries really fast and quite hard to work with. But after a few uses, I'm quite used to it and I find it fun enough when it crackles within seconds.

OPI came out with other new shatter colors such as Silver, Red, White, Blue and many more... (uncountable eh?) Among all the new colors, I still adores this the most. =)

Review: Charles Worthington Frizz Free Salon Finish Ultimate Serum

This week is all bout June Anti-Frizz hair!! Yesterday post was all bout the anti-frizz spray. Today I gonna review a serum for your hair to keep your hair shine and healthy. My all time favorite Essential Frizz serum had finished and here comes Charles Worthington. Do you think it can replace my favorite serum? Let's see....

Packaging:

The small transparent 30ml bottle with a pump. The pump are working very good that you have to really press to get your products. You won't overuse though. I find the bottle is very small and suitable for traveling. I have them in my handbag- organizer for now.

Directions:
Squeeze the excess water out of the freshly washed hair (don't towel dry). Dispense 2-3 pumps and smooth it though your wet hair, comb and for best result blow dry smooth. On dry hair use sparingly to control the ends.

Texture:

The Frizz Free Serum texture is more like a silicone. Probably i think it's pure transparent silicone. That's the reason why it is hard to dispense it out from the bottle.

My says:
I like how small bottle and travel friendly the bottle are. I can just put it into my handbag wherever I go to control my frizzy hair. Other than that, it does leave my hair feeling smooth and less frizzy after application. But for shine and silky? You judge!

Honestly, I didn't see any extra shine or super-silky hair as it promised but it does do very well for a frizz-serum. Besides the texture of the silicone serum, it does left a bit of oil after applying. So you gonna keep applying it on your hair till the oil balance been transferred to. :p

Overall, it was an okay product for me. Though it doesn't replaced my favorite serum but for the price of RM29.90, I think is great for a try-out. This Charles Worthington product is available at all local Watson store now~~
