THE DATATRONIX High Quality, UL listed 550 MHz speed Category 6 patch cords are available in molded end non-booted style with 4 colors to choose from: blue, green, grey, and yellow. The cables have stranded conductors for improved flexibility to reduce conductor breakage common with solid conductor patch cords. All patch cords are fully tested to meet or exceed performance specifications in accordance with industry standards. 

The patch cords are packaged in easy to open plastic bags and a simple easy to remove twist tie holds the cable together. Barcodes have been applied to each bag for ease of inventory control and point of sale transactions.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., April 17, 2011 – Pausing, rewinding or recording live TV programming may become as routine as raiding the mini-bar for guests who stay in hotels that offer DIRECTV’s Residential Experience service, which recently won first runner-up award for ‘Most Innovative Hospitality’ at Hotel Technology Next Generation’s (HTNG) 8th annual North American conference in Chicago.

DIRECTV is now offering HD DVRs as part of its Residential Experience service for the lodging industry, designed to offer guests a home away from home video experience.  As hotel guests unwind after a busy day, they’ll also be able to rewind, pause and record live DIRECTV programming – not missing a moment of their favorite show or game broadcast when room service arrives or the phone rings.

The DVR feature is part of the second phase of DIRECTV’s initiative to completely transform the TV viewing experience in hotels, turning guest rooms into living rooms with a full residential channel line-up of over 100 HD channels controlled with an anti-microbial remote and easy-to-use use interactive programming guide.

In addition to DVR functionality, the DIRECTV Residential Experience for Hotels will now also support local content insertion – hotels can customize the in-room television experience with the ability to insert up to 50 of their own content channels seamlessly integrated into the channel guide; and an enhanced HD programming guide – the same one guests see at home – that is faster, smarter, easier-to-use and can also be co-branded with the hotel.

• Each week during this transition, one group of channels will be available on both the old channel numbers and their new channel numbers.
• At the end of that week they will be removed permanently from the old range.
• For example, from March 24 to 31, you will be able to see SHOWTIME^® channels in the new range (chs. 545–549) as well as the old range (chs. 537-542).
• After March 31, you will no longer see these channels on the old range – you'll see an on–screen message directing you to the new channels.

On April 22, the transition will be complete.

Here is an overview of the new channel ranges once the transition is completed.

• Cinemax® channels will start on ch. 515 (currently ch. 512)
• Starz® channels will start on ch. 525 (currently ch. 518)
• Encore® channels will start on ch. 535 (currently ch. 526)
• SHOWTIME® channels will start on ch. 545 (currently ch. 537)
• HD Extra Pack channels will be consolidated into one channel range starting at ch. 560

DIRECTV has started the public beta of it's much anticipated Multi-Room HD DVR Service. I don't know about you but I've been waiting for this new service for quite some time.

Here's some details from DIRECTV:

Watch what you want, when you want, in any room you want. With just one HD DVR, you can watch your recorded shows on any TV in your house that's connected to an HD receiver. But that's just the beginning. You can also:

• Start watching a recorded show in one room and continue watching it where you left off in another room
• Record and delete shows from any TV connected to an HD receiver, not just the one connected to the HD DVR
• Record two shows at once, while watching two different shows in separate rooms
• Set separate parental controls for each TV

If you have more than one HD DVR, the DIRECTV Multi-Room HD DVR service keeps things simple by showing you a single, combined playlist of all your recorded programs on any connected TV.

You need an HD DVR* (models HR20-23) and at least one compatible HD receiver (models H21-23) that are already networked, along with HD Access and DVR service.
