The football feast this year was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Altai Krai. It was held under the motto “Let’s All Play Football!”. There was a tournament among children born in 1998-2004 including teams of towns and regions of Altai Krai, as well as among their parents. The competition of student teams, labor collectives, sport public representatives, patrons and those who wish to play. The football league among labor collectives “Olimp” has been started. Relay races for families, contests and entertainments were also included in programm. In addition to the the lunchrooms at the football feast partners have made some free kvass and a huge delicious cake (30 kg), moreover the creative teams of the city presented a holiday program for the opening and closing of the Festival.

The Interregional tournaments among girls have started on the Alexey Smertin Sports school footbal fields with artificial turf. Winter will go away very soon without leaving a trace, but for now…

Girls team of Alexei Smertin Sport School “Altay” participated in a short indoor football tournament in memory of Sergey Prokopiev (Kemerovo). Two teams coached by Oksana Zhbannikova got top places.

In the tournament among born in 1998-2000 Altay gained the 2nd place out of 4. Altay girls won their opponents from Novokuznetsk (4:2) and the 2nd team of Kemerovo Sport School (8:1), but lost to the first Kemerovo team (1:3). Alexandra Trikina got the best player prize.

5 teams participated in senior group (born in 1997 and older). Altay overplayed the girls from Taiga (2:1) and Novosibirsk (7:1), tied with Kemerovo Sport School (4:4) and lost to Kemerovo State University. As a result our girls got the 3rd place. Anna Belomytseva, playing in Altay and Russia national team, was rewarded as the best player of this tournament.

Team “Altay” of Alexei Smertin sport school won the inner-city indoor soccer tournament in memory of N.A.Kungurov among young footballers born in 2003. In final game they faced off their teammates (“Altay-2″). So our boys got the first and the second places.

Another team coached by Andrey Ignatenko won the tournament among young players born in 2002. This contest took place in Gorizont indoor arena and was finished on the 7th of January. Barnaul players scored two early goals and hot the cross-bars twice. But in the begining of the second half novosiberians pressed our players and regained one goal. It seemed that just a little bit and they could make the game tie. However Altay made two smashing atack and  gained impressive win. The second team from Alexei Smertin sport school got the bronze.

Today the governor of Altay krai Alexander Karlin rewarded 40 best children coaches of our region. Including coaches of Alexei Smertin Sport school Oleg Kiushkin and Oksana Zhbannikova.

“We arrived in Moscow a day before the tournament to RPL’s anniversary to play with age mates from Lokomotiv, to test our preparation, to realize what their train, to see their game pattern. No matter how a game would go we needed transit from defense not by kicking a ball away. Our mistakes leaded us to 0:5 lost. We were outplayed tactically. All our strengths were neutralized by their pressing and guarding all over the pitch. Anyway we played our football. The result was not important for me, I wanted to see how we realize what has been worked on. Considering all the circumstances. For example we came on the pitch from our indoor arena for the first time after summer-autumn period. We have not played there for a long time.”

Tournament match consisted of 2 period of 8 minutes each (8 players+1). And so contest took only 1 day. Altai-2001 got 5th place out of 8. We defeated Spartak and got a draw game with Atlant from Reutov. Our boys were simply tired, they were full up. And the result was not so vital again. However Danil Zaretski got the Most Valuable Player! Oleg Kiushkin communicated with other coaches, looking how they live and work. It is common knowledge that stewing in one’s own juice for a long time is not very helpful. Many players showed their worth. Not to mention that our team spent at the airport many more hours (instead of 10 pm they took off in 7 am), but, as coach said, nobody complained and cried, they acquited themselves like men.

From 2nd to 4th of November in Moscow “Expocentre” takes place XII International Exhibition “Football Market”. Altay specialist Oleg Kiushkin (coach of team “Altay-2001″) will participate in the conference “New coach technologies in footballers’ training”, arranging for the first time by “Football Market” company together with RFU. The seminars and conferences on topical problems of development modern football for managers and chairmen are scheduled as a part of the exhibition. FIFA officials will make their reports.

Coach of team “Altay 2000″ Vladimir Yevglevsky was invited in Togliatti by Football Academy n.a. Yuri Konoplev. From 7th to 9th of November International Conference for coaches of junior football takes place there. Guus Hiddink is expected to participate in this conference.

The president of the Children’s Football League of Russia Viktor Gorlov in his letter to the governor of Altai krai Alexander Karlin, declared that the Sport school of Alexey Smertin is one of the most interesting and rapidly growing projects with the aim of attracting as many boys and girls as possible to give them the opportunity to show their worth. The letter-writer noted that Altai children constantly participate in the most prestigious competitions and gain success. In this regard Viktor Gorlov emphasises recent victory of sport school of Alexei Smertin team “Altai 2001″ (coach Oleg Kiushkin) in the final of All-Russian tournament “Big stars shine to small ones”.

“Altay- 2001″ is the strongest in Russia and won the tournament of Teenagers Football League.  The final contest for footballers 2001 year of birth took place in Gorodets of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. Team of coach Oleg Kiushkin gained victories in all 5 matches. In group stage “Altay” beat “Elbrus” from Nalchik 2:1, sports school from Kursk 1:0, “Olimpia” from Astrakhan 2:0. In semifinal our boys defeated Stavropol sport school of Roman Pavlyuchenko 3:0 and crashed ”Tyumen” in final  4:0.

In semifinal match against sport school of Roman Pavlyuchenko Michael Naumov was a hero netted a hat-trick. In final Danil Zaretsky scored 2 goals, Artem Karpukas and Aleksey Abyshev netted too. Daniel Zaretsky was recognized as the best player in his position.
