Extraordinary landscapes are not so common in nowadays, everybody grabs an iPhone or a cheap camera and takes a landscape photo although it is not good enough. To capture an extraordinary landscape photograph you need to have technic, good equipment and imagination. Today we feature Raphael Oliver which is a freelance editorial and corporate photographer based in Shanghai, China. He specializes in portraits, architecture, industrial and corporate photography, social documentary and travel stories.

You’ll see photos of famous models that poses professional. There are romantic and sexy photographs that inspire you to be a photographer and make your own collection.

Pol Tergejst is an artist from Ekaterinburk, in Russia, who decided to play with fire, literally. He uses flame shapes to create some kind of flame-shape paintings, he composes different images of them. All this involves a lot of photographing.
Here you can see a small collection of his artworks where he tried to be creative and use the flames, burned matches, and smoke in order to create unique artworks.

In 2009, was the Saint Jakobus Church, located on Bemuurde Weerd Oostzijde 56, converted under architectural supervision into a beautiful modern town house: Residential Church XL. 

In 1870, the Utrecht Old Catholic Parish ordered the construction of a church and vicarage. Architect Gerard Gerritsen ‘finished the job’ in a little more than seven months, for the sum of 25,481 florins.
The church tower at the front was unfortunately too heavy for the foundation and had to be demolished in 1889. The Saint Jakobus was a soberly decorated church, being the only church built in Utrecht in the so-called ‘plasterers’ gothic style.The atmosphere, created by furniture and styling, is the work of Thomas Haukes from (springers)wonen. The result complements the strong design of the architect, creating a, extremely fine living space with original design. 
The design perfectly takes into consideration the original style, all in the right proportions.The original nave (14 meters high) is impressive, but the balanced design of the inner space ensures that a human dimension is not ignored. The clear plainness that the Saint Jakobus knew at the time of architect Gerard Gerritsen still gives today the power to this monumental building.The current owners were very careful in the renovation and refurbishment. The renowned Utrecht-based firm of ZECC Architects undertook the transformation from church to home with a great attention to light, space and functionality.The former Saint Jakobus Church is of historic and architectural significance due to its location and relationship with the surroundings. The church is also registered as municipal monument.

Exploring Tanzania By Justin Carrasquillo who’s a photographer from Los Angeles. The United Republic of Tanzania is a country in East Africa bordered by Kenya and Uganda to the north, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the west, and Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique to the south. The country’s eastern border lies on theIndian Ocean.

Tanzania is a state composed of 26 regions (mikoa), including those of the semi-autonomous region ofZanzibar. The head of state is President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, elected in 2005. Since 1996, the official capital of Tanzania has been Dodoma, where Parliament and some government offices are located. Between independence and 1996, the main coastal city of Dar es Salaam served as the country’s political capital. Today, Dar es Salaam remains the principal commercial city of Tanzania and the de facto seat of most government institutions. It is the major seaport for the country and its landlocked neighbors.

From Montreal to Manhattan, photographer Dominic Boudreault captured picturesque cityscapes and rural retreats. The finished time-lapse video garnered nearly a million views in just over a week. Highlights include views of the Chicago skyline from the John Hancock building, starry nights from Quebec National Parks and the New York skyline from Rockefeller Center.

He attributes much of his success to preparation. After selecting a city, Boudreault scouts locations online, first looking for major landmarks, then exploring Google Maps, Flickr and other sites to get a feel for what he will see when he arrives. Once there, he uses his vision and expertise as a photographer to insert his own point of view. Boudreault talked with us about his work: While pursuing photography for some time as a hobby, Boudreault primarily worked as a Web designer for Quebec National Parks.He has mastered the craft of time-lapse photography and is able to bring out subtle details like jets flying overhead, star trails, and boats moving across the water.

The Mushroom House or Pod House is a contemporary residence in the town of Perinton, New York which has been featured in television programs (notably HGTV’s Offbeat America series) and books (notably the Weird U.S. series)due to its whimsical appearance. Patterned after umbels of Queen’s Anne’s Lace, its brown color is more suggestive of mushrooms.The house was constructed for attorney-artist couple Robert and Marguerite Antell between 1970 and 1972 and was designated a town landmark in 1989.
The structure is sited in a moderately-wooded ravine adjacent to Powder Mills Park. The house itself comprises four 80 ton pods which rest on reinforced concrete stems of 14 to 20 feet in height. These fan out from three feet in diameter where they connect to the pods to five feet at the base.The sides of each pod’s “cap” are completely windowed. One pod serves as the living and dining area, one as the kitchen, and two as sleeping areas. An additional “half pod” provides an open deck area.

It has recently been listed for sale, with an asking price of $1.1 million.

Kelimutu is a volcano, close to the town of Moni in central Flores Island of Indonesia containing three summit crater lakes of varying colors. Tiwu Ata Mbupu (Lake of Old People) is usually blue and is the westernmost of the three lakes. The other two lakes, Tiwu Nuwa Muri Koo Fai (Lake of Young Men and Maidens) and Tiwu Ata Polo (Bewitched or Enchanted Lake) are separated by a shared crater wall and are typically green or red in color, respectively. The lake colors do vary on a periodic basis. Subaqueous fumaroles are the probable cause of active upwelling that occurs at the two eastern lakes.
The lake have been a source of minor phreatic eruptions in historical time. The summit of the compound 1639-m-high Kelimutu volcano is elongated two km in a WNW-ESE direction; the older cones of Kelido and Kelibara are located respectively three km to the north and two km to the south. The scenic lakes are a popular tourist destination. Keli Mutu is also of interest to geologists because the three lakes are different colors yet reside at the crest of the same volcano.
According to the local officer at Kelimutu National Park, the colour changed by chemical reaction of any minerals contained in the lake in triggered by volcano gas activity. The closest airports are Maumere, and Ende.

The Minimalistic Black and White Landscape Photographs below were taken by Cesar Augusto. Cesar was born in 1969 in Havana, Cuba and began making photographs as a child, his father who was a professional photographer brought him to shoots and the darkroom by teaching him every aspect of the process of making a good photograph. During his teenage years he has worked as a photographer in various photo studios in Havana starting by a photographer’s assistant.

Zurich 2111 is a concept assigned by studio Trixer to Carlos Agell. He was assigned to create a vision of Zurich in 2111 for an advertising campaign. The main characteristic of this concept design is the trees in which the designer has been told not to be so extreme nor apocalyptic but try to keep the green character of the city. This idea looks amazing and honestly it would be great if any city implement this concept and make it real.

Truly Inspiring Loft in New York is a collection of photographs for a single loft located in Renwick Street NY, U.S.A. designed by Fernlund and Logan architects. Two adjacent floors of a former factory were joined by removing a quadrant of the floor area between them, creating a double-height space that links all parts of the loft. A large, new opening in the exterior wall replaced two rows of existing windows. Industrial steel sashes were used to break down the scale of the opening and to reference neighboring natural-light factories.

Public areas on the lower level utilize a concrete floor—a nod to the building’s past— while wide-board oak was used for the stairs and upstairs bedrooms. The building’s rough textured columns and beams became a counterpoint to the smooth surfaces of the new walls.

About Fernlund and Logan Architects

Solveig Fernlund and Neil Logan established fernlund + logan architects in New York in 1992. The firm’s work includes residential and commercial projects which have been widely covered in the press. Solveig Fernlund attended the University of Lund, Sweden. Neil Logan studied architecture at Rhode Island School of Design, and Columbia University, and is a registered architect in New York.

Achieving a good web design interface is very hard because there are dozens of variables. In my opinion in nowadays if you want your website to rock it must have a clean and minimal design and no, I dont mean black and white with just text but a friendly page that it will be eye-friendly and easy to navigate with out many distracting Adsense boxes and advertisements. The speed of the website is also something to conceder, if it takes more than 6 seconds for your website to load you loose more than 60% of your traffic, its a fact.

On the other hand in order to achieve great speeds and low response times you need either to purchase an expensive dedicated server or to have a super minimal (empty) website with a few elements, nothing of the above might work for everyone and so you need to find a balance between those two and at the end of the day you have to conceder the design witch is the most obvious part for a visitor.

Here are a few tips that I can give you to accomplish good load times with stunning design

• Find a theme that supports latest technologies like HTML5 instead of flash
• Dont use too many facebook and twitter buttons and if you do at least use the direct links from the official websites
• Hire a professional to configure your server and in case you have a cache plugin hire someone that knows how to configure it, it worth’s it ($150-$400)
• Use Adobe Fireworks for PNG images and export them as “Flattened PNG” (it decreases the image size even 80%)
• Use CSS Sprites
• Combine your Java and CSS code
• Use multiple folders to load your images
• Use Cloudflare

Enlighten Souls is a lightpainting project I started in May 2011 in Christchurch, New Zealand by Wittner Fabrice. I first thought of it as an artistic and morale contribution to the 6.3 quake’s aftermath. “I used stencils to paint enlightened characters to remember human losses and to show the spirit of a wouned city. It turned out to be an intersting way to share ideas and feelings about society and life. After all, this is what street art is made for.”

The process is long and complicated and still at the experimental stage. ”Too still” or “photoshoped like” are some reluctent criticisms I’m trying to shut down. By now, two series were made. The first one in Christchurch, NZ and the second one in Hanoi, Vietnam – where I found it funny to bring some kids, from the remote villages of North, into the capital.

This work is still in progress and other locations and subjects should join the project in a close future
