On a Friday evening on the edge of Gaza City, the tables at Faisal fill up with young women wearing brightly-patterned headscarves and high heels beneath their jilbabs.

But the main attraction at Gaza’s riding club is the horses, many imported through the tunnels dug beneath the border with Egypt.

The Faisal riding club hosted its first showjumping tournament in July.

Next door is the Crazy Water Park, a swimming center with chutes and slides, alongside a burgeoning number of seafront cafes.

And the “poorstarvingpalestinianpeepull”? Not one in sight, anywhere.

EU trade commissioner Karel de Gucht told a Belgian radio station last week that there was little point in engaging in rational argument with Jews and suggested that the latest Middle East peace talks were doomed because of the power of the Jewish lobby in Washington. “It is not easy to have, even with moderate Jews, a rational discussion about what is actually happening in the Middle East,” he said. De Gucht, who negotiates for Europe on trade with the rest of the world, and is one of the most powerful officials in Brussels, was forced Friday to issue a statement declaring that the views he expressed were personal.

On the morning of September 11, 2001, someone raised the American flag above St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.   Shortly after that happened, the twin towers were attacked.  An hour after the attack, as the towers collapsed and destroyed little St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, the stars and stripes still flew above that American church.

Nine years later, the liberal elites are falling all over themselves to make certain that the 9/11 victory mosque is built as close to ground zero as possible.  Meanwhile, thanks to government roadblocks, little St. Nicholas has still not been rebuilt.

Some people have the vocabulary to sum up things in a way you can understand them. This quote came from the Czech Republic.  Someone over there has it figured out. We have a lot of work to do.

* In the intifada that began in 2000, Palestinian terrorism killed more than 1,000 Israelis. * There was a time when taking risks for peace meant swapping “land for peace” – Israel sacrificing something tangible and irrecoverable, strategic depth, in exchange for something intangible and perishable, promises of diplomatic normality.

* Before the 1967 Six-Day War, Israel within the borders established by the 1949 armistice was in one place just nine miles wide, a fact that moved George W. Bush to say: In Texas we have driveways that long. Israel exchanged a lot of land to achieve a chilly peace with Egypt, yielding the Sinai, which is almost three times larger than Israel and was 89% of the land captured in the process of repelling the 1967 aggression.

* Israelis are famously fractious, but the intifada produced among them a consensus that the most any government of theirs could offer without forfeiting domestic support is less than any Palestinian interlocutor would demand. Furthermore, the intifada was part of a pattern. As in 1936 and 1947, talk about partition prompted Arab violence.

* The creation of Israel did not involve the destruction of a Palestinian state, there having been no such state. In the 62 years since Israel was founded on one-sixth of 1% of the land of what is carelessly and inaccurately called “the Arab world,” Israelis have never known an hour of real peace. Patronizing American lectures on the reality of risks and the desirableness of peace, which once were merely fatuous, are now obscene.

Al-Qaeda is warning its supporters and sympathizers to prepare for a new war which will pit Israel against Iran.

Al-Qaeda’s franchise in Yemen, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), issued an audio message this month by its second-in-command, Saeed al-Shehri, who tells jihadists that he expects the Iranian Shia regime to try to take advantage of an Israeli attack on its nuclear facilities by seizing the holy cities of Mecca and Medina after blaming Saudi Arabia for helping Israel attack.

Shehri was held in Guantanamo for six years before being sent back to his native Saudi Arabia and then fleeing to Yemen to help set up AQAP.

AQAP demonstrated that it can reach beyond Yemen to carry out its plans when it dispatched the suicide bomber who tried to blow up Northwest Flight 253 last Christmas.

So, when he talkS about “The MoSque”, and how thiS country Should be tolerant of all religionS and blah blah blah iS not the point.

No one is diScuSSing whether MuSlimS have the right to build moSqueS.  That’S not the IsSue.  It’S that MuSlimS should not be building the MoSque where they are building it to be patterned after what the The World Trade Center looked like and so close to Hallowed Ground. I don’t care that the proposed mosque is 4 blocks away.

See, the point is that this soon-to-be Islamic Center is a typically “in-your-face” action taken by a radical Islamic practitioner who purposely chose this location to promote his radical view of Islam.  He knew the reaction he was going to get and in fact, counted on it, before going forward with his proposed “Islam is religion-of-peace” project.

Such Islamists rarely make such moves without careful consideration and pre-determined calculations.

This proposed mosque’s site was INTENTIONALLY CHOSEN as to dot the I over Islam and celebrate the “victory” of Islam over the Great Satan via the destruction of the Twin Towers.

In case anyone has forgotten what Islam succeeded with on 9/11, the following video documents what happened that morning when 19 devout muslims, soldiers of allah, attacked the United States of America, with the goal of destroying and conquering the West’s greatest power to install the universal caliphate.  This video specifically documents the Jumpers. The images of the Jumpers should be enough to rattle you.   The attack on the World Trade Center was one of the most observed catastrophes in history, yet most Americans have allowed the images of that day to become diluted and have allowed conspiracies that it was an inside job to dominate what Muslims themselves conspired to accomplish that dreadful day.

In the wake of recent attacks on Israel from Lebanon in the north and Gaza and Sinai in the south, Prime Minister Netanyahu issued the following statement Wednesday:

* For years many in the international community have remained silent when rockets have been fired at Israeli civilians, and when unprovoked attacks have been launched against our soldiers.

* Expressions of outrage have largely been reserved for Israel’s response to those attacks.

* Firing missiles on civilians is a war crime, and unprovoked attacks on soldiers are blatant acts of aggression.

* Israel expects the international community to condemn such attacks in the strongest possible terms.

* All those in the international community committed to peace should support Israel’s right to defend itself against those who attack the innocent and seek to destroy peace.

Elena Kagan, nominated by the commander in chief to be the next justice on the U.S. Supreme Court has actually been playing a role for some time in the dispute over whether Obama is legally qualified to be in the White House.

Here’s the connection. Kagan served as solicitor general of the United States from March 2009 until May of this year.

In that role, she legally represented the U.S. government in numerous cases coming before the Supreme Court.

A simple search of the high court’s own website reveals Kagan’s name coming up at least nine times on dockets involving Obama eligibility issues.

There’s more experience in executive decision making in Herman Cain’s pinky than in Obama’s entire life experience on earth.

Herman, where were you in 2006, 2007 and 2008? Well, it doesn’t matter, I’m glad you’re here now.
