There are so many reasons why cream blush is so great. First of all it’s versitile, you can use it on your cheeks, lips and eyes. Creams always look natural and glowy because of the texture. This new one from chantecaille certainly fits the bill. It’s easy to blend, and the colours are perfect for a variety of skin tones. Add to that the antioxidants to protect your skin, and you have yourself a fab new product.

I thought all these ladies looked gorgeous at the premiere of their new movie. The stars of the flick, Charlize and Kristen were sort of elegant gothic in black sheer gowns. Both wore sultry elongated smoky eyes, and pale pink lips. Lily Cole donned a similar look, while Liberty Ross in cobalt  blue Tom Ford, went for a slightly more dramatic look with sleek hair and bordeaux lips.

P.S I’m totally seeing this film it looks amazing.

The make up and hair look from the Lanvin SS12 show, embodies some of the key trends for spring – impeccable skin, a soft smoky eye, boyish brows, and wet look hair.

To replicate this look apply a plumish grey colour along the upper eyelid and along the lower lash line. Use a cream eyeshadow to get a more worn in look. The shape should be elongated, so extend slightly past the outer corner of the eye.

Skin should be perfected but not mask like. Apply highlight on the upper part of  the cheekbones for dimension.

The Laura Mercier Sheer Creme Eye Shadow‘s are really easy to blend thanks to the creamy texture, and a deliver a very smooth non sparkly finish. If applied with fingers they are actually more opaque than sheer, as the name suggests. My favourite colour is aqua pastel–a pale mint shade a must have for spring’s pastel trend. The other two shades, a mauve and putty grey are quite good too but I found them too similar to each other. In other words you don’t really need to buy all 3 colours. Which in my case is probably a good thing!

Frida is super new to the scene, her first show was Prada’s Spring show last September. I love the way she looks–the square jaw and perfect nose are her best features. Her looks easily morphs from innocent 12 year old to 22 year old vixen.

I thought there was more great fashion at Monday’s night’s Metropolitan Costume Institute Gala then throughout the whole award show season. All the backless dresses, interesting textures and opulent details give us a sneak preview of all the luxurious looks we will be seeing this fall.

Metallic and PVC fabrics have a Jetson like feel this spring. Add with that glitter nail polish, and shimmery eyes for a futuristic look that works now.
