Defense of the Ancient which is commonly known as DotA is a custom map made for Warcraft III through Blizzard Map Editor. It was originally authored for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos which was later unofficial remake for Warcraft 3 expansion pack, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne (TFT). There are a number of regional themes with multiple unique background images hidden from Windows 7 users.  On a Windows 7 install with United States regional settings only the United States theme is shown but there are actually four more themes hidden from view.

All these hidden themes can be accessed once you know where to find them.  The trick is to navigate to the C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT directory. 

The MCT directory within the Globalization directory is super hidden so it will not display even if show hidden files and folders is enabled. 

Just click on the address bar of any folder and manually type in or copy and paste in C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT and hit Enter.

Once you have reached the MCT folder you will see five directories as listed below:

• MCT-AU
• MCT-CA
• MCT-GB
• MCT-US
• MCT-ZA

To view and use the theme for each region just navigate into each MCT-Region directory, enter the Theme folder and double click the theme file.

Starting in Windows Vista and Server 2008, Microsoft includes native support for IPv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6) and is enabled by default.  IPv6 is the new computer address protocol that will eventually replace IPv4 which is currently the most popular standard. Unless you network has a specific requirement for IPv6, very few do, you can safely disable IPv6. Unlike other protocols, you cannot disable IPv6 by disabling the protocol on each of your network interfaces. While that will disable the protocol for the interfaces the loopback and tunnel interfaces will still have it enabled that can cause problems with applications.  The proper way to disable IPv6 is to disable via the registry.

First, click on the Start Button and type in regedit and hit Enter.

Then, navigate through HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SYSTEM, CurrentControlSet, services, TCPIP6 and Parameters. Right click on Parameters and select New and then DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name the new value DisabledComponents and hit Enter. Now right click on the new DisabledComponents value you just created and select Modify. Set the value of DisabledComponents to FFFFFFFF and click OK.

After a reboot IPv6 will be disabled on all interfaces.

Note:

In Windows XP IPv6 is not installed by default so if you manually enabled it you can uninstall it by opening up a command prompt, type in and run:

netsh interface ipv6 uninstall

To understand this correctly we have to dig into the history of processors. Technically, the term x86 simply refers to a family of processors and the “instruction set” they all use. It doesn’t actually say anything specific about data sizes.
x86 started out as a 16-bit instruction set for 16-bit processors (the 8086 and 8088 processors), then was extended to a 32-bit instruction set for 32-bit processors (80386 and 80486), its instruction set is called "x86" for short. and now has been extended to a 64-bit instruction set for 64-bit processors.

It used to be written as 80×86 to reflect the changing value in the middle of the chip model numbers, but somewhere along the line the 80 in the front was dropped, leaving just x86.
Blame the Pentium and it’s offspring for changing the way in which processors were named and marketed, although all newer processors using Intel’s x86 instruction set are still referred to as x86, i386, or i686 compatible (which means they all use extensions of the original 8086 instruction set).

x64 is really the odd man out here. The first name for the 64-bit extension to the x86 set was called x86-64. It was later named to AMD64 (because AMD were the ones to come up with the 64-bit extension originally). Intel licensed the 64-bit instruction set and named their version EM64T. Both instruction sets and the processors that use them are all still considered x86.

The greasemonkey  script called Fluff Busting Purity cleans up your Facebook wall by removing all idiotic messages, annoying quiz messages and other silly application spam, leaving behind just the standard Facebook apps such as status updates, wall posts, links, notes, photos, etc.

Social networking site Facebook, started six years ago by a 20 year old student in his Harvard dorm, announced it now has 500 million users worldwide. This number means that if Facebook were a country, it would be the third largest in the world.

Facebook crossed the 500 million milestone yesterday. It had over 400 million active users by February this year. About 70 per cent of Facebook users are outside the United States. It has 12 million users in India. An average Facebook user has 130 friends and people spend over 700 billion minutes per month on the site.

There are more than 150 million active users currently accessing Facebook through their mobile devices.

Facebook content can be translated into more than 70 languages.

That’s been one of Facebook’s biggest growth obstacles overseas: the fact that while it was spreading in the U.S., other social networks were growing fast in other countries. None of them has gotten anywhere close to Facebook’s global power, but subtle cultural discrepancies and loyal user bases have meant that it hasn’t been easy for Facebook to convince its user bases to make the switch. In many countries overseas, Facebook didn’t start to catch on until it was available in the native language, and Facebook’s translations rolled out relatively slowly. These started about two and a half years ago with a handful of European languages.

Zukerberg said in celebration of the milestone, Facebook has launched a new application called ‘Facebook Stories’.

"We have put together a collection of stories you’ve shared with us about the impact Facebook and your friends have had on your lives," he said.
