Seems, Obama's administration got caught being a proxy for the wind energy lobbyists when Obama needed positive news about wind energy and jobs. Gabriel over at Ace has the story:

The short attack piece they produced under the seal of the Department of Energy (PDF) was then used by the President to keep pretending that green jobs aren't the economic black hole that the Spanish report (and common sense) tells us they are.

According to emails (damn those ever-incriminating emails!) recovered by FOIA request, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), a division of Department of Energy, got interested in producing the report because the lobbyists asked them to. For example, from an AWEA email to NREL with the subject "Spanish jobs report":

"It is critical we respond, this thing won't die and its doing a good job of undermining our green job message."
And from NREL emails:

"AWEA policy people are quite concerned about a recent report published in Spain (likely the one cited here) and I suspect they are not the only ones." ... "We need to come up with an appropriate response to these criticisms soon. I just spoke to a few people at AWEA about this." ... "The AWEA folks are wondering what we'll do, so if this is our plan, I'll let them know."

Does their deceit know no bounds? Will they do nothing to tax and spend our money?

Shocka: AP Reveals Murder of Christians; AFP Doesn't

I know. I was shocked too. The crAP media outlet actually goes out and prints the truth of the slaughter of christian women and children. The AFP doesn't feel it news worthy to note the religious-based massacre of christians.

Here is the AFP version of the story from Yahoo News:

JOS, Nigeria (AFP) – Nigeria's acting president put security forces on alert after machete wielding gangs massacred at least 100 people, mainly women and children, near the central city of Jos, officials said.

Witnesses described how victims were caught in animal traps and fishing nets as they tried to flee their attackers, who hacked them to death in what appeared to have been a well-organised attack.

"Over a hundred people have been killed -- most of them women and children," said a government official Sunday, speaking on condition of anonymity.

"Some of the children are less than one year old," he added.

But the raiders also set fire to dozens of houses in the nearby villages of Ratsat and Zot, all less than 10 kilometres (seven miles) from Jos and home to members of the Berom ethnic group.

"These villages were attacked by Fulani herdsmen killing scores of people and burning houses," Ratsat resident David Daniel Daniel told AFP.

Other residents and local rights activists also blamed the attacks on the Fulani ethnic group.

Dr. Jones Gets B**ch-Slapped By Sweden

Remember all those affirmations from Dr. Phil Jones from East Anglia's Climate Research Unit that the data he was protective of was because he was not allowed to release it? He was under a written privacy agreement to keep the data secret?

Well.....the Stockholm Meterological and Hydrological Institute gives Dr. Jones a great big SLAP!!

It has come to our attention, that last Monday (March 1), Dr. Phil Jones, head of the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia (CRU), in a hearing with the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee made a statement in regards to the alleged non-availability for disclosure of Swedish climate data.

Dr. Jones asserted that the weather services of several countries, including Sweden, Canada and Poland, had refused to allow their data to be released, to explain his reluctance to comply with Freedom of Information requests.

This statement is false and misleading in regards to the Swedish data.

BOOYA!!

This man needs to be drummed out of every scientific establishment. He should not even be allowed in to Best Buy, Radio Shack, or the local science museum. He is a sham. He is a fraud. He made a mockery of science and of research. This man should not be seen in the daylight again.

But, the Swedes were not finished. They had to do the little "twist" at the end of their dagger-thrust to Dr Jones' gut.

All Swedish climate data are available in the public domain. As is demonstrated in the attached correspondence between SMHI (Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute), the UK Met Office and Dr. Jones (the last correspondence dated yesterday March 4), this has been clearly explained to Dr. Jones.

What is also clear is that SMHI is reluctant to be connected to data that has undergone “processing” by the East Anglia research unit.

Ooooooo... that's got to hurt!

[Update] The Royal Imperial Torturer thinks it will leave a mark that Jones will see in the mirror in the morning.

Global Warming Causes Glaciers To Bleed

Yeah, that's what the AGW alarmists would say at least. But, what I would like to know is how come a lake isolated for over 2 million year, ... why was there no evolution?

You know for all the alarmist's fluster about CO2, they seem to forget that CO2 only plays a very minor part in our atmosphere's greenhouse effect. Methane is 30x more potent and yet is also naturally produced in vast quantities.

All the while we are being made poor slaves to the unscientific and uneducated laws and taxes being forced upon us by the liberals and socialists in power.

But then, it is people like that that gave rise to the Darwin Awards. May I introduce you to the latest Honorable Mention?

Robert Spencer, in an article about self-proclaimed "anti-Fascist" groups attempting to suppress free speech, defends the newest anti-Jihad movement, the English Defense League:

Since everyone who stands up for human rights and freedom against Islamic supremacism and violence is branded a racist nowadays, it's useful to look at the evidence. Here is a group that is so racist that it has featured a Sikh speaker, has a youth group that bears the slogan, "Black, White and Brown Unite," and says: "We welcome members from all over the political spectrum, and with varying views on foreign policy, united against Islamic extremism and its influence on British life. Everyone from those whose ancestral roots are in pre-Roman Britain to immigrants just arrived yesterday will be welcomed into the EDL with open arms as long as they are willing to stand up with us for English values and against Islamist hate."

Many people conflate the EDL with the genuinely racist and antisemitic BNP, which I repudiate utterly, but there seems to be a good deal of evidence to suggest that the EDL is not itself racist, white supremacist, antisemitic, neo-fascist, etc. At very least, they bear watching. In any case, these charges are invariably and inevitably trotted out by Leftists and their jihadist allies whenever anyone stands up against the Islamic supremacism that would deny our freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, and equality of rights before the law. After awhile, the wolf-crying becomes obvious.

I completely agree with Mr. Spencer. Although the EDL is relatively new, it should only be judged by its mission and its promotion of unity of all people opposed to the radical, Islamic ideology.

Those who support the Jihadist movement, as well as the ignorant and uninformed in the media, have been quick to label any who oppose open immigration and multiculturalism as "fascist" and "racist". Do not allow such dishonest labeling to influence your perception of truth and reality.

As Geert Wilders so perfectly states, it is not about rejecting individuals, but rather the violent ideologies that some immigrant groups bring with them to, and impose upon, more civilized societies:

In the latest glorious news, we find that our deaths have now come much sooner—thanks to the Chilean earthquake that struck last week.

According to the top, THE TOP, scientists who work at NASA—you know, those guys that can predict the weather to the hundreth of a degree hundreds of years from now because they know exactly what the weather was billions of years ago... yet somehow can't seem to predict the weather a week in advance—our clocks are no longer running on 24 hours a day.

Richard Gross, a scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, Calif., and colleagues calculated that Saturday's quake shortened the day by 1.26 microseconds.

OMG.OMG.OMG. Does this mean we are going to have to change our whole
culture? Are we going to have to buy new clocks, adjust our work and
sleep schedules? Will we even get paid for 40 hour work weeks now? Could it be that the French have been ahead of the game with their 35 hour work weeks this whole time?

Earth's days may have gotten a little bit shorter since the massive earthquake in Chile, but don't feel bad if you haven't noticed. The difference would be only about one-millionth of a second.

Hmm. One MILLIONTH... of a second.

Wait, this is news? This is something to get the media all wee wee'd up about?

Certainly that can't be all there is to this story.

This photo, sent across by Reuters stringer Suhaib Salem, represents everything that I believe is wrong with press coverage in the Middle East. It could easily adorn the cover of some macabre screenplay—which, in essence, is all that it is.

See if you can spot every single actor in this shot that's playing specifically to a camera. I'll get you started by pointing out the gentleman in the front with the simulated-bloody hand, playing to Camera A. Or the one behind him playing to Camera B. Or even the two guys in the center who are clearly playing up their determination for Suhaib himself.

How many times will Reuters fall for the same staged shot, presenting it to Western readers as if this were some genuine outpouring of emotion—rather than the staged play that it is?

SHOCK: AP Refuses to publish Propaganda... from the White House?

When I saw this photograph, published by official White House lightstalker Pete Souza, I was immediately struck by how ham-handed Obama looked, particularly in contrast to the apparently taken-aback Dalai Lama. What does it say about the competence of this White House if this is the kind of photo that they think is representative enough of this meeting to release it to the press?

Anyway, with that background in mind, it is truly stunning to learn—via the ever-excellent PDNPulse—that my mortal enemies at the Associated Press actually refused to carry the picture.

Says the AP on their official Facebook page:

"AP Photo Advisory: The AP will not be distributing an official White House photograph of today’s meeting between President Obama and the Dalai Lama. The AP declines to accept or use handout photos when we feel access would have been possible by the media, either as a group or through a pool photo arrangement."

In our constant striving for media access, we often encounter cases where access is denied and handout photos are offered. That’s the visual equivalent of being fed a completed news story by PR firm or official as opposed to reporting it ourselves.

We won't accept or use handout photos if we feel access would have been possible by the media, either as a group or through a pool photo arrangement. This position is particularly important to us when covering government activities in democratic nations where we believe an independent view is important.

One is reminded that the AP routinely carries abject propaganda handouts on a daily basis from freedom-loving regimes such as Iran, but wouldn't you guess it, they have an answer for that, too:

True, we often accept handout photos from governments or states where media freedoms are not as developed as they are in most democracies. Ignoring those handout photos would deprive our readers and viewers of a unique source of information.

A "unique source of information" that just happens to be available for free to the rest of the Internet? I'm not buying that explanation... but I do have a trick up my sleeve that just might be related to it, so I'm going to let it slide for now.

Anyway, the only other thing I'd say about this whole fiasco is that dark times must truly be coming to the Administration, if even their strongest supporters have stopped carrying their water.

Whether by chance or on purpose, the way he composed this picture, it could easily be mistaken for a painting from far away. More Federal Land Grabs Underway

I for one believe that the federal government should not be allowed to seize lands from states unless the state's legislatures vote and grant the donation to the federal government. This causes a loss of revenue and land from the state. What president's have done is outright theft. And I believe oversteps the bounds constitutionaly.

This should even get some of the environmentalists and libertarians upset. Ok, especially the libertarians. But, leave it to a massive-government loving marxist to move to take more lands into Federal hands.

More than a dozen pristine landscapes, wildlife habitats and scenic rivers in 11 Western states, some larger than Rhode Island and Delaware combined, are under consideration by the Obama administration to become America's newest National Monuments.

According to internal Department of Interior documents leaked to a Utah congressman and obtained by Fox News, the mostly public lands include Arizona deserts, California mountains, Montana prairies, New Mexico forests, Washington islands and the Great Basins of Nevada and Colorado -- totaling more than 13 million acres.

And, this could be 10 times more lands taken away from the public than Pres Clinton did in 1996 when he stole vast amounts of coal supplies from our nation's energy supplies.

DURHAM, N.C. — North Carolina police responding to a domestic violence call have arrested the woman who falsely accused three Duke University lacrosse players of rape.

WRAL-TV reported 33-year-old Crystal Gale Mangum was arrested late Wednesday on charges she assaulted her boyfriend.

Durham County jail records indicate Mangum is charged with attempted murder, arson, assault and battery, identity theft, communicating threats, damage to property, resisting an officer and child endangerment.

Ok, one comment.

Wrongs in AGW Religion Mean Nothing

When it comes to the latest issues and so-called errors in the religion that is AGW (Anthropogenic Global Warming (warming caused solely by man and his actions and activities)), no one really believes that the IPCC and the knowledgeable people who control our thoughts would let this get them down. They have the concensus on their side.

On the contrary, these recent activities and "concerns" that have been wispered do nothing but make their resolve that much stronger.

In fact, if it were not for the IPCC and the god-like Rajendra K. Pachauri, "the future ex-Chairman of the IPCC" (as Anthony Watts likes to call him), we peons would not even know or even care that there was global warming going on.

Q: Has all that has happened this winter dented the credibility of IPCC?
R.K.P.: I don’t think the credibility of the IPCC can be dented. If the IPCC wasn’t there, why would anyone be worried about climate change?

And then, there are those who will not let these anti-human, anti-earth people get them down. Damn, the torpedos and faulty climate models. They will strive and continue forth spreading the good news.

Richard Branson has told David Strahan of Global Public Media that the world's oil supplies may peak within just six years.

Only last week, the British regulator Ofgem warned of energy shortages to come, with blackouts and renationalisation of the energy industry. Does Branson's comment suggest that the era of aviation is, give or take the odd flight on biofuels, at an end?

Branson's interview makes clear that the debate about climate science is only part of the story - and provides support to those who believe we must conserve energy regardless of what the climate models tell us.

And, it matters now how many times we peons and idiotoms have heard this, we must continue to be told that our oil has reached its peak. We must be made to believe. Believe!! We must conserve no matter what, even in the face of completely false climate models and oil supply projections.

And you know, since Branson states it, it HAS to be true. I mean.... come on, who else has more mastery and knowledge of the in-ground oil business?

He's by far the most prominent and - as somebody who runs an airline - well-placed figure to have warned about peak oil, to the best of my knowledge.

I think someone has a tingle going up their leg.

Compare that to the 7 police officers present, or even the 4 protesters, and the photo itself becomes almost comical.

But it does, to me, raise a very interesting question:—At what point do we cross the line from "covering" the conflict in Kashmir to inflating it well beyond its importance in the grand scheme of things?

More recently, the FBI discovered the MB’s 1991 U.S. Manifesto in a 2004 raid, a manifesto that not only confirmed the existence of the Brotherhood in the U.S., but outlined its organizational structure and agenda in this country.

The dozens of groups listed as associates in that document include a number who’ve succeeded in forging close relationships inside the structures of U.S. national security. One of them is the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA, another unindicted co-conspirator in the HLF trial). The FBI itself has maintained a longstanding liaison relationship with ISNA officials and placed ads in its monthly publication seeking Muslim applicants to become agents. A top FBI lawyer named Valerie Caproni joined senior ISNA official Louay Safi on a 2008 panel discussion at Yale University for a discussion entitled “Behind the Blindfold of Justice: Security, Individual Rights, & Minority Communities After 9/11.” Worse yet, in the wake of the horrific November 2009 military jihad assault at Ft. Hood that took fourteen lives and left dozens injured, it was revealed that Louay Safi was at Ft. Hood providing seminar presentations about Islam to U.S. troops about to deploy to Afghanistan. That’s an amazing record of successful penetration. And it’s just the tip of the iceberg.

At a ceremony at the White House on Tuesday, First Lady Michelle Obama announced the launch of the ‘Let’s Move’ campaign to end childhood obesity in the United States, an epidemic she said is costly and a threat to national security.

Obesity is a threat to national security? And here all this time I've been worried about TERRORISTS, when I should have been looking out for the fat kid next door!

Someone needs to do something to stop this threat! Oh, wait! Barack Hussein is on the job:

The ceremony, attended by many officials of President Barack Obama’s cabinet, followed the signing earlier in the day of a presidential memorandum establishing a task force to study the problem and make recommendations after 90 days.

So... I guess this 'task force' will recommend something other than 'eating healthy' and 'plenty of exercise'? Must be much more if it takes a whole 'task force' and 90 days!

“This isn’t like a disease where we’re still waiting for a cure to be discovered – we know the cure for this,” Obama said. “This isn’t like putting a man on the moon or inventing the Internet. It doesn’t take some stroke of genius or feat of technology.

WTF? So, we are going to pay a whole 'task force' for 90 days to tell us what we already know? This is crazy. How many jobs will this 'task force' create or save (other than their own)? At a time when American's are hurting, when the national debt is out of control, Barack is using hard-earned taxpayer money to fund his wife's pet projects.

It's nice to see Washington still has money to blow.

HONK! If You Love Global Warming

Oklahoma's Senator Jim Inhofe's grandkids took the time and joy during the latest winter blizzard of record that slammed in to the now shutdown D.C. area to play in the snow.

Did they sit there and whine about the fact that too much snow kept them from holding a press conference on the latest Global Warming Office? Did they bemoan the fact that Global Warming has led to too much snow? Did they cry that too much heat and deadly droughts have caused them to miss school?

Nope. They decided to have a bit of fun.

The family of Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.) had some fun at former Vice President and global warming spokesman Al Gore’s expense over the weekend after record snowfall blanketed the nation’s capital.

The family spent Saturday and Sunday building an igloo near the U.S. Capitol building...

Too bad the liberal nutjobs don't have a sense of humor about all of this. They actually called this a PR event conducted soley by the Senator.

Brad Johnson, who blogs for the liberal Center American Progress criticized the prank and tagged it in the category of “Radical Right-Wing Agenda.”

“In reality, winter snows do not invalidate the reality that the planet just experienced the hottest decade on record,” Johnson wrote. “Scientists have been warning for decades that global warming would increase the severity of winter storms.”

He actually thinks the Senator is laughing at the fact people are without power and some have been killed.

Actually, Brad said that this past January was the warmest January ever. Nothing about that this was the hottest decade. Which of course he would know being a knowledgable and thoughtful global climate scientist. This past decade has been near static if not cooling.

But then, that never stopped them from allowing others to help push their religion.

Read some of the comments at that last link. They make for hilarious reading. Guess the lib-greens do have a sense of humor after all.

How Many Liberals Does It Take To Debate Pam Geller?

Trick question! Liberals don't know how to debate!

But it took three to avoid addressing any real issues about Sarah Palin. Although Pam Geller raised valid issues, the best Joy Behar, Ron Reagan, and Stephanie Miller could do was hurl petty, childish insults at Sarah Palin and make cliterectomy jokes at the expense of suffering women.
