According to backstage buzz at Dancing With the Star, newly crowned fourth-time champion pro Derek Hough may be leaving the show again — for good this time. Maybe Derek is just bored at winning all the time now that he has yet another Mirrorball Trophy under his belt.

There is no question that Derek Hough and Kellie Picker were the belles of the Dancing With the Stars 2013 ball this season. They were frontrunner favorites from the moment they first hit the dance floor.

While it was kind of amazing at first to see the former American Idol finalist and the handsome dance pro sweep away the competition every week, it actually started to get a bit predictably boring there toward the end.

And maybe Derek is just bored with the whole thing at this point too. Or maybe he just feels like he’s better than just being a handsome attachment to a C-List celebrity on DWTS.

“Derek has always wanted to eventually get back to the stage or other kinds of TV projects and even films,” an insider at Dancing With the Stars reportedly said, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. “I know he’s had lots of offers. This seems like the right time for him to pursue all that.”

Let’s hope those “other kinds” of projects are at least a bit meatier this time around than playing an uncredited role in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone or a stereotypically-cast dancer in a Norwegian film with the most generic plotline imaginable.

Who won Dancing With the Stars last night seemed almost a foregone conclusion to anyone who has been watching Season 16 religiously. Let’s face it, Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough have been dominating Dancing With the Stars 2013 all season long. While there was always the chance for a last minute shakeup result, it would have been seriously shocking had they not taken home the Mirror Ball trophy.

We don’t really want to call Season 16 boring per se… but anyone who didn’t see the writing on the wall practically from the first week was probably drunk. Thankfully, despite the ultimate predictability of who won Dancing With the Stars from the moment Kellie hit the dance floor, a season of truly delightful performances still made it worth watching — mostly.

Country music singer Kellie Pickler may have only come in fifth place on American Idol Season 6, but she was destined to win DWTS 2013 right from the start. We think Kellie is a great singer, but it turns out she might just be a better dancer! Of all the contestants on DWTS 16, Kellie was so flawless out there that at times it was hard to tell her from the pros.

Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough rode at the pinnacle of the Dancing With the Stars leaderboard week after week. Unfortunately for second place finishers Sendaya Coleman and Val Chmerkovskiy, they could just never quite measure up to Kellie and Derek, despite having a stellar season themselves. In a season without the former American Idol finalist, we think Sendaya would have stolen the show. That really has to burn a bit… knowing that you probably would have been the fan favorite and mega-star of the season if it weren’t for that pesky American Idol kid!

According to a report by Us Weekly this morning, later confirmed by People and In Touch, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have officially broken up after three years together. Honestly though, it’s not like everyone didn’t see this coming. Rumors of trouble in Ian and Nina’s relationship have been the constant source of tabloid fodder for months.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev, who play Damon Salvatore and Elena Gilbert/Katherine Pierce on The Vampire Diaries, have barely spent any time together lately, other than rushing their cat to the vet last month. When they have been spotted out and about lately, they’ve seemed to make a point out of holding hands and smiling for the camera — without really looking quite so lovey-dovey as they used to. Both of them seem to be jaunting about all over the world and walking red carpets at major events… separately.

Nina’s rep denied split rumors back in March, but it seems the writing was already on the wall.

Honestly though, is anyone truly surprised at the breakup? They are both young, gorgeous and probably not quite ready to settle down with a life partner yet. Add on the stress of constantly having to be on set together, doing press junkets together all the time, and having your relationship be the object of couple worship by millions of fans — well, it just has to wear on even the strongest romance pretty hard.

In the first half of The Amazing Race finale last night, the final four teams — Bates and Anthony, Max and Katie, Caroline Cutbirth and Jen Kuhle, and Beth Bandimere and Mona Egender — battled it out in Northern Ireland. At the end of the leg, Caroline and Jen came in last and were eliminated.

Hockey players Anthony and Bates took over the second half of the race on The Amazing Race 22 finale and powered their way through it like it was nothing. They had already finished the final task of the night before the other teams even arrived. Despite having a massive lead, however, the brothers say they didn’t feel like they had the win in the bag.

“It always felt like [the other teams] were right on our heels,” Anthony Battaglia told The Hollywood Reporter. We were so scared [another team] was going to catch up. It didn’t feel like we were ahead of everybody.

Although CBS tried to stretch things out and inject some drama with a ploy about how maybe they might get lost getting to the final pit stop, it was clear Bates and Anthony were going to win it all.

After who won The Amazing Race 22 was announced, Bates and Anthony celebrated their win with a round of press interviews about their experiences on the show and what they plan to do with their $1 million prize. Of course, Anthony and Bates were infamous on The Amazing Race for their constant jokes, so naturally it was difficult to get them to actually give an honest answer not laced with a hefty dose of humor.

When asked what they are going to do with their $1 million prize, Bates Battaglia joked to THR, “I’m going to try to buy Anthony some new teeth.”

Anthony is missing his front teeth and wears a prosthesis. “With hockey players, we don’t fix our teeth until we’re done playing,” Anthony told MLive.com before The Amazing Race 22 kicked off.

Never one to leave a joke hanging, Anthony said he liked his fake teeth. “I’m so cute in those teeth. No complaints so far.”

Jenelle’s attorney, Dustin R. T. Sullivan told HollywoodLife.com that a judge ordered his client and Rogers to stay away from each other—going one step further even, by ordering they have no contact at all. “The judge ordered them not to have any contact with each other whatsoever,” Sullivan said. It’s probably the wisest thing Jenelle has been told for some time!

Jenelle’s arrest Tuesday occurred after cops were called to the troubled 21-year-old’s North Carolina house following an alleged domestic dispute between Evans and Rogers, whom she is accused of assaulting with a piece of furniture.

The mom-of-one was found with 12 bindles of heroin in her possession and the prescription painkiller Percocet, along with plastic wrapping paper and a glass smoking pipe, which is considered illegal drug paraphernalia.

SnarkFood, like other media outlets, is supplying the information to help the cause.  Richard DesLauriers, special agent in charge of the FBI office in Boston, appealed to the public for help in identifying the two men, whom he cautioned should be considered “armed and extremely dangerous.” Appearing at a news briefing with U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz, DesLauriers said the two men, both carrying what appeared to be heavy bags on their backs, walked together through the crowd of spectators.

The teaser showed Hunger Games victors Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark embarking on their victory tour. But their defiance of the Capitol did not go unnoticed by Panem’s citizens — or its ruler. ”She has become a beacon of home for them,” the totalitarian President Snow (Donald Sutherland) says of Katniss. “She has to be eliminated.”

“I think she should die but in the right way, at the right time,” replies Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman), the new Head Gamemaker in charge of designing the fight-to-the-death Hunger Games. “Katniss Everdeen is a symbol. You don’t have to destroy her, just her image. Show her that she is one of us now. Let them rally behind that. They’re going to hate her so much they might just kill her for you.”

Lawrence’s heroine is also seen having a heart-to-heart with her sister, Prim, and staring down a gun pointed at her by a Peacekeeper.

She added, “Ps. I’m an organ donor! Everyone should be! You can save someone’s life. I am grateful to Kayla’s fearless Hero.” Earlier this week, Dobrev posted photos of her and Somerhalder’s hospital visit with Baker. The star told Baker, “Happy Easter @kayla_0507!!!! Thinking of you today – sending you positive vibes ! We had so much fun hanging out with you yesterday! ”

She’d also asked her Twitter followers to send “positive energy” to the ten girl.

“Just take one moment of your time to think of her and put it out there in the universe. Think happy thoughts and smile The secret… We can make anything happen.”

The Call actress is said to be three months along. She has a five-year-old daughter, Nahla, with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.  The couple was engaged in January, 2012. “I have an amazing daughter that I’m wildly proud of who’s the love of my life,” Berry said in October. “In my life, I think about what images I’m modeling for my daughter; decisions I’m making and how that will affect her in her life.”

Lexi, Grams, Vicki, Anna, and many more could be among those faces, which raises the question of whether Bonnie drops the vail to the other said. After all, that’s what Silas has requested of her. There is also the question of  if McQueen will return as Jeremy, or if the immortal menace Silas will take on the form of Elena’s little brother. For now we can only speculate to what the rest of the season has in store for us.
