You may have heard the term "blockchain" before, but if you're not quite sure what it is or how it works, don't worry. In this article, we'll give you a brief overview of what blockchain is, how it works, and some potential applications for this revolutionary technology.

Blockchain is a digital ledger technology that allows multiple parties to securely and transparently exchange data without the need for intermediaries or trusted third parties. The data in a blockchain is stored in a series of blocks, each of which contains a set of transactions that have been verified by a network of computers called nodes. Once a block is added to the blockchain, it cannot be altered or deleted, making it a highly secure and immutable form of data storage.

So how does blockchain work in practice? Let's take the example of a cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. When someone wants to send Bitcoin to another person, they initiate a transaction that is broadcast to the entire Bitcoin network. The nodes on the network validate the transaction, checking that the sender has enough funds to cover the amount being sent, and then add it to a block. Once the block is complete, it is added to the blockchain, and the transaction becomes part of the permanent record of all Bitcoin transactions.

The security of the blockchain comes from the fact that each block contains a unique code called a "hash" that is generated by the nodes on the network. This hash is based on the data in the block, as well as the hash of the previous block in the chain. By including the hash of the previous block, each block in the chain is connected to the ones before and after it, creating a continuous, unbreakable chain of data.

So what are some potential applications for blockchain beyond cryptocurrencies? Here are a few examples:

    Supply chain management: Blockchain can be used to track the movement of goods and products along a supply chain, providing transparency and accountability to all parties involved.

    Digital identity: By storing identity data on a blockchain, individuals can have more control over their personal information and be able to securely share it with trusted parties.

    Voting: Blockchain can be used to create a secure and transparent voting system that ensures the integrity of the voting process and prevents fraud.

    Smart contracts: These are self-executing contracts that are programmed to automatically execute based on certain conditions. They can be used in a variety of industries, from real estate to insurance, to automate complex processes and reduce the need for intermediaries.

Overall, blockchain is a powerful and potentially transformative technology that has the potential to revolutionize a wide range of industries. While it's still in the early stages of development, the potential benefits of blockchain are clear, and it will be exciting to see how this technology evolves and grows in the years to come.

Romantic Movies that involve Time Travel

Here are some romantic movies that involve time travel:

"About Time" (2013) - Tim Lake is a young man who discovers that he has the ability to travel through time. He uses this ability to find happiness and love, but eventually realizes that altering the past has consequences. He meets and falls in love with a young American woman named Mary, and learns that the best way to live a happy life is to accept and embrace the present.

"The Lake House" (2006) - Doctor Kate Forster and architect Alex Wyler live two years apart but are able to communicate through letters left in a mailbox of a mysterious and isolated lake house. Despite the distance, they fall in love and try to find a way to be together.

"Somewhere in Time" (1980) - Richard Collier is a successful playwright who becomes infatuated with a photograph of a young woman. He learns that the woman, named Elise McKenna, was a famous stage actress who lived in the year 1912. Determined to be with her, Richard travels back in time and meets Elise, who is also smitten with him. They fall in love, but their happiness is short-lived as Richard must return to his own time.

"Kate & Leopold" (2001) - Kate McKay is a successful businesswoman who is visited by Leopold, a duke from 1876, who has traveled through time. Despite their initial skepticism, they begin to fall in love and face the challenges of bridging the gap between two different times and worlds.

"The Time Traveler's Wife" (2009) - Henry DeTamble is a man with a rare genetic disorder that causes him to time-travel unexpectedly. He meets and falls in love with Clare Abshire, a young woman who is unaffected by his disorder. They are forced to navigate their relationship as Henry's time-traveling disrupts their lives and their future together.

"Safety Not Guaranteed" (2012) - Darius is a young journalist who investigates a classified advertisement seeking a companion for time travel. She meets and falls in love with the man behind the ad, a eccentric and mysterious figure named Kenneth. The two embark on a journey through time and confront the challenges of their relationship along the way.

"Midnight in Paris" (2011) - Gil Pender is a successful but dissatisfied writer who is visiting Paris with his fiancée. He discovers that he can travel back in time to 1920s Paris and meets the people who inspired his passion for writing. He falls in love with a young woman named Adriana, who inspires him to become a better person and to embrace the present.

I hope these plot summaries give you a better idea of the romantic time travel stories in these films.

Splinterlands: Getting out of Bronze III

Well, MYLOR is the answer!

Bronze III is hard because the only ruleset is Standard which is basically no restrictions in ability, splinter type, rarity, etc. only MANA cost. It is much harder to predict or counter your opponents' monsters.

I had to rent this summoner which gives thorns ability to all monsters.

It is also advisable to rent these monsters:

Wood Nymph - has the Tank Heal ability, place the Unicorn Mustang in front.

Earth Elemental - with its low mana you'll have 6 HP, this may serve as meat shield specially in low mana battle, place this in second position.

Mushroom Seer - with its Silence ability, opponent's magic attack will be reduced, use this whenever possible.

Depending on the mana cost, oftentimes I used Unicorn Mustang as tank, then Failed Summoner on 2, Wood Nymph on 3. You may also use Khmer Princess and Regal Peryton.

Take a look at some of my battles:

Being a beginner, to get your rank up from Bronze III to Bronze II is hard compared to Bronze II to I. I guess because in B3 the only ruleset is Standard (no restrictions except mana costs) making it hard to select/build your splinter in battle.

In this post, I'll be sharing my water deck. I rented the cards below.

Summoner: Alric Stormbringer

+1 Magic to splinters and just 3 mana cost. This makes this summoner great.

Tank:  Lobstradamus

For its hit points at 9 and ability to reduce damage from melee and range attacker, and just 6 mana cost this is a great tank although it is slow. Adding the +1 magic from Alric, you have 2 direct damage per attack.

Support:

Venari Wavesmith

This card adds armor to friendly monsters (plus +2 direct damage per turn), although it has 5 mana cost having this gives your low HP splinters protection from range and melee hits, specially if your opponent is fast and has the sneak or opportunity ability.

Crustacean King

I use this card if the ruleset is "Lost Magic", I just use the playable cards like Serpent of Eld, Deeplurket, etc.

Creeping Ooze

Rented this card also for slowing enemy and sometimes use as meat shield, position it in the back or next to the tank on second position.

Damage:

Coral Wraith

Love this card, Sneak ability +2 direct damage, with Alric, that +3 damage per turn.

Nerissa Tridawn

I got lucky to have this card by opening CL pack, a great damager +3 magic attack plus 1 from Alric. It is a
highly flexible tool, built upon the foundations of progressive
enhancement, that adds all of these advanced features to any HTML table.

I've been using this plug-in for almost every project that I'm involve with. It has a built-in search, sorting and pagination facility. Less hassle and simple to implement specially in dealing with huge datasets such as 100,000+ or even millions. It's UI can be in Bootstrap, among others.

Implementing it in Django requires proper format, it should follow the required structure of JSON and the table itself.

Django views.py and urls.py

Create a function in views.py that will handle sorting, searching and pagination of your table. To start,

In your HTML file.

Some common error encountered is on columns, make sure the index are properly matched!

Creating heat map using GeoDjango

GeoDjango is a Django module that turns it into a web-GIS app. It is powerful as it uses geospatial engines such as GDAL, GEOS and PostGIS.

In this post, we'll be creating heat map using leaflet plugin https://github.com/Leaflet/Leaflet.heat.

From our views.py, we need to create a function that can return JSON object with this format:

	[[50.5, 30.5, 0.2], // lat, lng, intensity
	[50.6, 30.4, 0.5],]

Below is an example:

Basically, the proposed_roads query uses the Centroid function of GeoDjango, also intensity is obtain by getting the sum (change this depending on your specification or needs) based on the subquery. The output of this query is intensity and the Point object derived from Centroid which is named as "cent".

To turn it into the desired format, we need to convert it into list and append the intensity (which is the 3rd value). The function returns a JSON data similar to the required format of leaflet heatmap.

You can then use AJAX in the front-end:

Adjust the radius, blur and the gradient values and color depending on your need.

topology. Rather than representing geometries discretely, geometries in
TopoJSON files are stitched together from shared line segments called arcs. This technique is similar to Matt Bloch’s MapShaper and the Arc/Info Export format, .e00.

This will significantly reduce the file size, I have tried a 100+ MB file it reduces to 30+ MB.

After the conversion, we'll be using a parser and rendering plugin for leaflet. Let's use leaflet-omnivore from mapbox in parsing TopoJSON and convert it to GeoJSON, then use Leaflet.VectorGrid.

Here's a code snippet of its implementation:

Click for DEMO , DEMO 2

You need to include the JavaScript files of leaflet-omnivore and leaflet-vectorgrid in your html file.

<script src='//api.tiles.mapbox.com/mapbox.js/plugins/leaflet-omnivore/v0.3.1/leaflet-omnivore.min.js'></script>

<script src="https://unpkg.com/leaflet.vectorgrid@latest/dist/Leaflet.VectorGrid.bundled.js"></script>

1st Wedding Anniversary

I Am Getting Married!

I proposed to her just few days after our 2nd anniversary, the idea is to surprise her and I think I did. 😂

I also bought the ring on the same day, funny things happened but I won't share it here. (HAHA)
I have prepared a simple note stating my intentions to her. As I am a man with few words, that was just maybe four sentences.

The Note

I ask the question, and (hoooorayyy) she answered "Yes" after a minute or two.

Fast forward to the day that I (with my family) formally asked to marry her, I was nervous but way more excited.

I'll be celebrating Valentine's Day with you in my life.

Just two words for today.

BLESSED AND LOVED.

That's how my life has been since I had you <strike>again</strike>.

You brought a different kind of happiness.

You brought a new perspective to my life.

You brought sunshine in my gloomy days.

You brought lots of good things by just being yourself.

And for the million times, I'll keep on saying this.

"I love you for that."

With no definite reason,

I love you.

With all the good reasons or even worse,

I'll be staying with you.

Don't ever forget that no matter what happens

in the future, that's ahead of us.

We can make it.

Why?

Because...

We share the same love,

and that will always be enough.

Happy Valentines my chikading!!! 💗💓💑💘

I have loved you and I will love you.

I choose you.

Everyday I wake up, I choose to love you. I
will continue to choose you everyday 'til forever. I choose to love you,
cherish you, adore you, take care of you and spoil you. I choose to be loyal to you, to be honest with you, to fight for you.

You are deserving of all these things and more. I have loved you, but
haven't shown it well. But I will try everyday to do better, because
you make me a better person. I never knew love, never knew
understanding, before I met you.

Until forever.

From My Thinking Cap: 😊😍

when it is hard to love you,
I will love you more.
when I feel like you're pushing me away,
i will hold you tight.
you are who you are,
and I love you for that.
although it puzzles me.
the change in mood,
the way you talk to me.
out of concern, maybe.
i get it.
you need to grow.
you are afraid of the future.
uncertain things.
actually, uncertainty excites me as long as we're together.
keep in mind that i will always consider what you want to achieve in life.
i'll support you,
i am always here for you.
whatever track of career it is.
because this love of mine,
does not only care for your happiness
but also your growth as an individual.
thank you for being so responsible and thinking about our future together.
i love you, for the reason that i love you.
we can make it ding,
we'll get married someday and we'll spend life together.
honestly, it excites me so much.
waking up with you beside me,
sipping a cup of coffee in the morning with you,
things like that.
i am grateful to have you,
grateful that you consider my family situation.
don't worry that much,
we are fine.
as we prepare for our future together,
let's continue to be happy and savor this relationship.

var jsonObj = {
        "type": "FeatureCollection",
        "features": [
            {
                "geometry": {
                    "type": "Point",
                    "coordinates": [124.112122, 8.112132]
                },
                "type": "Feature",
                "properties": {
                    "device_id": 138,
                    "data":"old_data"
                }
            },
            ...
}

var vectorSource = new ol.source.Vector({
        features: (new ol.format.GeoJSON()).readFeatures(jsonObj)
});
var vectorLayer = new ol.layer.Vector({
        source: vectorSource,
        style: pointStyleFunction
});
...//other code like adding the layer to the map

setProperties

Sets a collection of key-value pairs. Note that this changes any existing
properties and adds new ones (it does not remove any existing properties).

forEachFeature

Iterate through all features on the source, calling the provided callback with each one. If the callback returns any "truthy" value, iteration will stop and the function will return the same value.

var dev_id = '138';
vectorSource.forEachFeature(function(feat){
    if (dev_id === feat.get('device_id')) {
        feat.setProperties({
            'property1': val1,
            'property2': val2,
            'property3': val3,
            'data':'new_data'//to update the value
        })
    }
});

You just need to loop to the source's features then set its properties. Note that if you want to update the value of a certain property, you can just overwrite it.

When you examine the data after, the feature will have 5 properties with the updated value of data.
Heroku is a platform as a service (PaaS) that enables developers to build, run, and operate applications entirely in the cloud.

If you have a simple Django app that doesn't require huge storage or database, Heroku is the best choice. Their free service will suffice your need. Your app will be available almost 24/7 (~23 days up time in a month). You are given 550 hours per month and if you have a credit card, an additional of 450 hours will be rewarded. Enough to make your app to be available always. The server also sleeps after 30 mins of inactivity. This enables you to save uptime hours.

In deploying Django in Heroku you just need to have this ff. files:

.gitignore

runtime.txt

requirements.txt

Procfile

Django App

All file must reside in the project directory as shown below:

.gitignore is a text file containing the type of files within the directories that wont be included in the deployment of app

runtime.txt is a text file containing the version of Python that the app will use. Example: python-2.7.14

requirements.txt is a text file that can be generated using pip freeze command. It contains all the modules needed by the app to run.

Procfile is a file containing the command that will be used for your app to run in Heroku. Example. web: gunicorn rainfallmonitoring.wsgi --log-file -

rainfallmonitoring in the example is the name of the Django Project, change it with yours.

Basically, you requirements.txt file should have:

whitenoise

gunicorn==19.1.1

by default, and all the other modules needed.
A few line of code should also be added to the settings.py:

MIDDLEWARE = [
    'whitenoise.middleware.WhiteNoiseMiddleware',
    ...
    ...
]

# Static files (CSS, JavaScript, Images)
# https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/1.11/howto/static-files/

STATIC_ROOT = os.path.join(PROJECT_ROOT, 'staticfiles')
STATIC_URL = '/static/'

# Extra places for collectstatic to find static files.
STATICFILES_DIRS = (
    os.path.join(BASE_DIR, 'rainfallmonitoringapp/static'),
)
change rainfallmonitoringapp with your app name, you can read more about it here.

Note:

Enabling gzip functionality using whitenoise gives error in deployment esp. when DEBUG=False.

I choose Dropbox as a Deployment Method. If I want to update the app, I just overwrite the files and deploy the changes after. Don't worry, Heroku has version control and so with the Dropbox.

The app that I deployed in Heroku.

Is there anything better than food reactions? Yes. Insane gambling
reactions.

If you thought Shokugeki no Soma was full of excessive
reactions on 2015, well, buckle up as you watch Kakegurui this year. I have to
say, the new anime releases this season are really great especially Shingeki no
Bahamut: Virgin Soul * I have my eyes on Nina Drango, she’s so cute* but that’s
for another topic.

What made this anime unique in its own kind of way is the fact that it has its own charisma. Anyone who has seen Prison School could surely sense that the way the students treat the “house pets” were much like how the boys in Prison School were treated minus the prison cell. Kakegurui has this creative visual presentation within each episode wherein they showcase different forms of gambling and how each game has their own sets of thrills and risks.

The main character herself is very interesting and
mysterious. I should say, I am very impressed as to how the anime tells its
story. Not often do you see a story told by another character in an anime. The
viewers see and think through the lens of Ryōta Suzui, a friend of Yumeko Jabami
, our main girl. As far as I have observed, unlike any anime where the audience
gets to ‘hear’ the thoughts and sentiments of the main character, the situation
here is different.

The viewers are most often than not – other than the times
when Jabami explains her ‘trick’ or how she figured out the ‘trick’, clueless
as to what the main character is thinking which I personally think is a good
way to keep us, the viewer, in an edge. I also quite like the fact that the main character is a usually a well-mannered, kind girl but completely changes personality when she is gambling.

It also amazes me that the storytellers are not afraid to
show main character losing. This gives the plot a more realistic appeal and it
helped me as a viewer get a share of the thrill and excitement while watching
the plotline of the anime progress too. In a sense, they really embodied the true essence of gambling where nothing
is for sure. Also, I love the fact that the anime art style isn't mainstream.

BTW, I am so in love with their opening :

I’ll be taking my time spending my life
Falling deeper in love with you

One person is enough to touch your life.
She is that person for me.

History...over a year ago.

It was a rainy evening.
I had an umbrella though.
I was wearing a blue shirt, grey pants and a Nike Shoe.
Before going for dinner to meet her, I went to store to buy school materials for my sister.
The store is not that far from our meeting place, so I decided to walk going there.
It was still raining but I managed to arrive there first.
I waited a little bit then she showed up without me noticing her.
I think I was busy browsing and checking with my phone.
I was surprised.
Well, I haven't seen her for almost a decade.
But how can I forget my first love?
That was young love but she is.
I took an order already, it was a full meal.
She just ordered cake and shake if my memory serves me well.
We talked, we exchanged words.
She has a lot to say about something.
She's still the same.
I was amazed.
Time passes, rain has almost stopped.
So, we need to part ways to go home.
I decided to walk her outside 'til we find trike.
She hopped in without me.
I felt sad, like for no reason or may be I'm just too sensitive.
That moment lots of things ran inside my mind.
I was thinking, this should not be the last time to see her.
I was left walking alone, few more walks then I rode to go home.
During those walks, in my mind, I want her to be next beside me next time.

...fast forward.

And here I am tonight.
Writing.
Combining these words to form sentences to create paragraph.
That was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Technically, being in a relationship with her is the longest that I am with.
I am happy for the year that is full of love.
She was in my past, in my present, and though the future is uncertain,
I'll make sure that we'll be there, TOGETHER.
I'll be better, I am better because she's in my life.

I LOVE YOU 💟💟😘😘
Happy Anniversary!

Listen to the song below 😉😜

It's funny how we code last day, month or year is very much different compared today. It's not bad though, that means we're (I'm) improving or there's a progress. The system before uses JavaScript, JQuery, Openlayers and a JavaScript library for date formatting.

Here's how it works:

Request data from a different (an external) domain(server)

Get the latest value and append it to the pre-defined GeoJSON object

Evaluate the value to determine its rainfall intensity

Finally, plot it on the map

Downside, upon clicking each points, the system needs to request again the data to display it in graph.

Now, like I said, there's a progress.

Aside from using ReactJS, I also changed how it works.

Request data from a different (an external) domain(server).

Get all the data (not just the last value) from all available stations and store it in an array of objects

Extract the last value from the array , evaluate to determine its rainfall intensity then plot it.

Data is also displayed as table.

Storing all the data in an array of objects makes the app more efficient as it won't request again when plotting it in graph (and much faster as it was requested beforehand).

I also used, LeafletJS for its mapping library, Bootstrap (sadly need to use JQuery), and momentjs for date formatting. Deployed it in Heroku.

The code is here with comments in "Weather.jsx", just change the station ids.

HERE'S THE NEW LINK

I am digging ReactJS these past days. I am trying to figure out how it works this is because of my curiosity looking at the source code of a certain website with clean html structure--like having just a head, body and a division within it only. I was wondering how the HTML elements have been rendered on that page, and there I found out that it is possible by using ReactJS (I don't know if there are other library that can do it).

Just an introduction what is this ReactJS--it is developed by Facebook (made it more appealing to me). If they are using it, therefore, it must be really efficient and fast. As the description on the website states, it is "A JavaScript library for building user interfaces". Based on my understanding, it utilizes the Virtual DOM, meaning instead of directly changing or re-rendering the DOM when updates is needed, ReactJS will determine and calculate if there are changes in the UI in Virtual DOM and if there is, it will re-render the entire UI in Virtual DOM then the changes will be pushed through to the actual DOM, like a patch. Wait what?!! lots of process there. Actually, re-rendering in Virtual DOM is much faster than in the actual UI in the browser and it only updates what is needed to be updated (sounds like a hit man).

Example code (taken from their site):

Result:

At the console, you'll notice that only the time has been re-rendered.

I think the forte of ReactJS is managing the updates on the page. Some of the developer uses ReactJS when building a single page application, which is a trend nowadays.

You may take a look at their documentation for further information.

Note: DOM does not stand for Dirty Old Man! HAHA

Meanwhile, on the other planet...

Django--been using this Python framework for almost 3 years. I love it (but not as much as I love my girlfriend, JK). Great documentation, secured, with built-in Admin page and it's free and open-source. I won't talk more about Django as this is not new to me.

The struggle is integrating ReactJS with Django.

Given that Django has its own template system, by the way, it follows with MVC pattern. You create models (this is tables in the database), a controller somehow is the views.py in Django (kinda confusing), the View is the template; the UI. Integrating it with ReactJS, we need to replace the template. The struggle is the communication between these two different technologies. As for me, using Django REST framework can be one of the ways. We'll get the data through API and process it using xhr or axios or maybe ajax through jQuery in ReactJS. The problem with this, we can't maximize the capacity of Django in the template (page). I'll look more into it this coming days.

As for now, I have managed to deploy a simple ReactJS App in Heroku. Click the creature below and take a look at the source code.

I'll walk you through the deployed simple ReactJS App.

"package.json"
This file is actually generated when creating a ReactJS App. Whenever you install a package, this file will be modified and it will include the newly added package depending in your installation type.
Few notes, name should not have space, version also needs to follow the format x.x.x.

So, what's the difference? I'm using Windows.
cURL should be installed already.

If you have lots of tables in your database that you wanted to publish in GeoServer, you can use this method. Just prepare a list of tables (separated by new line) you want to publish in a text file format.

Before proceeding in publishing layers, you need to setup a workspace and store in your GeoServer first. Although this can be done using cURL and REST API, but it is more convenient in that way.

After a minute.... :D :D

Create ".bat" file

Use the code below but (of course) change the necessary inputs

for /f %%a in (<list of tables you want to publish>.txt) do  curl -v -u <username>:<password>  -XPOST -H "Content-type: text/xml" -d "<featureType><name>%%a</name></featureType>" http://localhost:8080/geoserver/rest/workspaces/<name of workspace>/datastores/<name of store>/featuretypes
pause

e.g.

for /f %%a in (tables.txt) do  curl -v -u admin:floodmaps  -XPOST -H "Content-type: text/xml" -d "<featureType><name>%%a</name></featureType>" http://localhost:8082/geoserver/rest/workspaces/earthws/datastores/earthds/featuretypes
pause

Here are some few useful commands:

--adding workspace
curl -u admin:floodmaps -v -XPOST -H "Content-type: text/xml" -d "<workspace><name>cite</name></workspace>" http://localhost:8081/geoserver/rest/workspaces

--adding store
curl -v -u admin:floodmaps -XPOST -T ds.xml -H "Content-type: text/xml" http://localhost:8081/geoserver/rest/workspaces/earthws/datastores

--publish layer
curl -v -u admin:floodmaps  -XPOST -H "Content-type: text/xml" -d "<featureType><name>tandag_stats_seniang</name></featureType>" http://localhost:8081/geoserver/rest/workspaces/earthws/datastores/earthds/featuretypes
--change defaultStyle
curl -u admin:floodmaps -v  -XPUT -H "Content-type: text/xml" -d "<layer><defaultStyle><workspace>cite</workspace><name>flood_hazard_level</name></defaultStyle><enabled>true</enabled><advertised>false</advertised></layer>" http://localhost:8081/geoserver/rest/layers/earthws:tandag_stats_5yr

With this simple method, you won't be worrying on how to publish bunch of layers.

You can also automate styling, use this code below and save it as ".bat" file, change the necessary inputs (bold).

for /f %%a in (tables.txt) do  curl -u admin:floodmaps -v  -XPUT -H "Content-type: text/xml" -d "<layer><defaultStyle><workspace>cite</workspace><name>polygon</name></defaultStyle><enabled>true</enabled></layer>" http://localhost:8081/geoserver/rest/layers/earthws:%%a
pause

Sample Files are here.

Confianza x Amor

Confidence.

That word does not run in my veins.
I always have doubts with my being.
As if, in every step I take, worst can happen.
I don't know.
I was not raise like this.
I've changed a lot.
As I grew older, I am becoming more doubtful with myself.

Love.

I have found love.
A love that suits for my being.
As if, it was meant for me, specifically prepared.
I don't know.
It's a mixed feeling but not a mishmash.
It has changed me.
As this love goes deeper, I am believing that the best is yet to come.
us the severe level of difficulty in putting other people’s need before ours.
Humans are naturally self-centered. I think that it is one of the main traits
that are actually needed by us humans to survive. People in the history grew in
power because of this trait and secured their future and their next generation’s
future. It is as natural as the feeling of annoyance you get when you bring
food for yourself and your friends, even the people you’re not close to, ask to
have a share of your food. If you think about it, being self-centered isn’t
really quite as bad as it sounds but that also does not mean that it is a good
quality to develop either.

My point is, in my perspective, this anime
really captured our unique feature; our selfishness and our compassion.

The
reason why we still give our friends our food despite feeling annoyed is
because of this. We know how aggravating it is to feel hungry and not being
able to eat and of course, as a friend (and a human) you wouldn’t want them to
suffer but in the back of our mind, we have that faint whisper of our inner
fiend just telling us to say ‘NO’ and just prioritize ourselves.

With Ichijoji as
the personification of both these traits, we can see/relate to her struggle as a
human being who wants to be in an advantageous position in life by keeping all of
her fortune by herlself (just like any normal human beings would normally do)
but also having the desire to help the other people (needless to say, that road
is quite a long road for Ichijo but as the story progressed, you can see her
occasionally showing her kindness although it is immediately followed by her
nasty personality).

These human
struggles are hilariously portrayed which honestly causes most or maybe some
audiences to take the story lightly but my opinion above may just be me putting
too much emphasis/importance of this animated work.

ON ICE: OFF THE RINK

Yuri!!
on ICE is a sports anime. Its story revolves around the main
protagonist, Katsuki Yūri, who is a professional figure skater. After he
suffered from a crushing defeat at the Grand Prix Final, he decided to
go back to his family home. At age 23, Yūri figured that his career as a
professional figure skater might be over especially with his weight
gain after stress eating.

All of this changed when he
found himself at the spotlight after his childhood friend’s triplet
daughters posted a video of him skating at Viktor Nikiforovs’ Stay Close
To Me.

Yuri!! on ICE is a sports anime but somewhat
differentiates itself from other sports anime. Most sports anime
typically have highschoolers as characters. Yuri!! on Ice on the other
hand, have characters who are recognized as professionals
worldwide/nationwide. More than that, the anime can be closely related
into reality as there are speculations as to who the characters from
this anime were inspired by.

Viktor Nikiforov; Evgeni Plushenko

This tissue box

More importantly, this anime focuses on how ‘love’ can be used as a catalyst to grow, improve, and inspire.

In the episodes, you can observe how other figure skaters are growing through ‘love’ as well. Not just romantic love but the different types of love such as unrequited, protective and parental love.

The anime strives to break the boundaries and limitations through the power of ‘love’. The reality that we have today is very fast-paced. With the commotions and struggles that we, as an individual, face every day, we are bound to break at some point. Yuri!! on ICE conveys the message that ‘love’ is all around us. Yes, we may face problems that are out of our league and be forced to realize our weaknesses and limitations but we also need to realize that we have people around us who support us and trusts on our capability to overcome ourselves!

Although there are people who perceive this anime as ‘Boy Love’ (common in most sports anime but very subtle) in Yuri!! on ICE’s case, the romance between Viktor and Yūri is very clear which resulted to the hype we have today) and therefore refuse the idea to watch it and even criticize it for its ‘gayness’.

It’s very assuring to know that the mangaka, Mitsurō Kubo, is not disheartened.

No matter what the real world thinks of this work, in the world of this work, no matter who you fall in love with, you will not be discriminated. I will definitely protect that kind of world.

With this, we can hope for the possible future of this anime to have a second season.

Isang Chikading!

The fact that we have given a chance by GOD to be together again

is enough for me to love without holding back.

I can never love like this before

because I'm afraid of pain; that's how pessimistic I am!

But with you;

I can, to infinity and beyond.

💖

You will always be here,

you're not going anywhere.

In fact, you are always here since the day we met.

You occupy a big portion

of my heart.

Loving you is the easiest thing to do.

You compromise.

You understand my flaws and knew me

but because it is what and how I feel for you.

step1. insert following xml nodes into ../webapps/geoserver/WEB-INF/web.xml

<filter>
    </filter><filter-mapping><url-pattern><filter>
        <filter-name>cross-origin</filter-name>
        <filter-class>org.eclipse.jetty.servlets.CrossOriginFilter</filter-class>
    </filter></url-pattern></filter-mapping>
<filter-mapping><url-pattern>    <filter-mapping>
        <filter-name>cross-origin</filter-name>
        <url-pattern>/*</url-pattern>
    </filter-mapping></url-pattern>
</filter-mapping>

step2. unzip Jetty-bundles-repository-9.0.5.v20130815, and find two jar files in ./lib dir: jetty-util-9.0.5.v20130815.jar, jetty-servlets-9.0.5.v20130815.jar (because “org.eclipse.jetty.servlets.CrossOriginFilter” is in jetty-servlets-9.0.5.v20130815.jar package, which depends on jetty-util-9.0.5.v20130815.jar package)

step3. copy these to jar files to “.../geoserver/WEB-INF/lib”.

step4. restart GeoServer. ALL DONE!

The above instruction will allow you to use WFS, of course, you need to enable the service in GeoServer..

IMPORTANT: Allow port to be accessible locally by adding it in Firewall. Click here.
