The Sant Nirankari Mission celebrates Human Unity Day (Manav Ekta Diwas) every year on 24th April to pay homage to saints who sacrificed their lives for the sake of Truth and human values. To celebrate this day Tracy chapter of Sant Nirankari Mission, USA organized a Sewadal Rally event followed by a spiritual congregation on Sunday April 28, 2013.

Sewadal rally was organized under the guidance of Rev. Dr. Iqbaljit Rai Ji, Rev, Dev Raj Ji and Rev. Surjit Kaur Ji visiting from Chandigarh, India. Rev. Sooch Ji escorted the three saints to the stage where they were greeted by Sewa Dal band. Rev. Gurmohan Ji conducted the proceedings of the Sewa Dal Rally. The rally started with Prarthana Geet. Following that Sewa Dal members displayed PT exercises. After that there was Marching Geet. Towards the end Rev. Ajit Sooch welcomed and thanked the participants. The rally was then blessed by Rev. Dev Raj Ji, Rev. Surjit Kaur Ji and then by Rev. Dr. Rai Ji.

After Sewa Dal rally, all saints gathered in congregation hall. Spiritual congregation started with Avatar Bani verses. Rev Amarpal Ji conducted the Satsang program. Rev. Surjit Kaur Ji was presiding. There was also a Youth sangat conducted for an hour in which Sister Sudesh Matneja Ji who was visiting from New York shared her life experiences of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji and those experiences made one realize how great a saint Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji was. During Satsang, saints spoke about life of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji, Chacha Pratap Singh Ji and other worthy saints who devoted their life for spreading the word of truth and God-knowledge.

Few saints recited melodious devotional songs. Kids also participated enthusiastically by sharing their thoughts about Manav Ekta Diwas. During Satsang a photo documentary on the life of Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji was shown. At the conclusion of Satsang, everybody listened to His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji’s message sent from Delhi. Babaji’s message was for whole humanity and it emphasized the need to spread love, compassion and universal brotherhood in today’s times.

Frankfurt is an international Business city, where on May 4, 2013, for the first time in the history of the Mission in Germany, Human Unity Day was celebrated. It was an International gathering that took shape, with devotees coming from many countries in Europe including Italy, UK, Spain, Austria and almost from all over Germany. With the blessings of His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj all those who gathered shared the fragrances of love and humanity which are the core teachings of the Mission.

Leaders of many organizations not only participated on the day but were involved in organization of the event which followed the pattern of the NIS (Nirankari International Samagam) which took place in the UK last year.

Rev HS Upashak Ji presided over the event who came from UK especially for this occasion landing on May 3 in Frankfurt and blessing many seekers of truth.

The Satsang commenced with a live Kirtan Program recital from Gurparsad Jatha in which a number of German ladies contributed by playing some instruments. Rev Balbir Sehra Ji, General Sec. of SNM Germany introduced all the participants being responsible for the duty of the Stage Secretary on this day offering a warm welcome to one and all. During his spiritual speech, Rev Upashak Ji explained the message of His Holiness that we should all live in peace and eliminate any feeling of hatred or violence that we may have within our hearts for anybody. The important he suggested was that we must start giving love to those who are near us in order to obtain some return ourselves. It is not possible to change the world but we can try to change the mind of the human being. Ordinarily, we can create a great neighbourhood but with the benefit of spiritual development we create brotherhood.

This Event was very interesting for German People because all the speakers used the German or English language. Some speeches that were in Hindi, Punjabi or Tamil were directly translated into German via live translation as there was a large local contingent and this was needed for their benefit.

The Sant Nirankari Mission held a Samagam on the theme of human unity in the capital city of Denmark, Copenhagon on April 20, 2013. Beside local devotees, several delegates came from Norway, Sweden and Portugal also.

Presiding over the Samagam, Rev H.S. Upashak from UK said that such Samagams seek to show the right path to every human being to make life happy. He said that all human virtues flow from God-knowledge. Once God dwells in mind, our thoughts become pure automatically. The feelings of love, compassion and cooperation are strengthened automatically.

Rev Upashak Ji said that God-realisation is also essential to understand the real meaning of religion. In fact it turns man's mind into a temple.
