Somehow, upwards of 300 people on our email lists
never got word. I don't really know what happened but I don't
have time to monitor another round so I've alerted the guys that
ship them out for us that we will basically run the sale again
until they are all sold out.

We have 12 left at the moment, some people have asked about refurbs
and demos they can get a good deal on. We'll likely be keeping
those for testing, so the 12 we have left is all there is.

The price on those last 12 is $269 each. Here's the link:
http://www.snsnowmaking.com/final/?xyz=4

Thanks again for a great season, we appreciate your support :)

Thanksgiving Snowmaking Video

Thanksgiving Snowmaking 2009

<img style="display:block; I always wanted to complete the full picture (snowmaking, rope tow, ski hill) and would visit Polar Peak's website frequently to live the dream through them :)

Well, a few weeks ago on my way to visit my brother in Albany, NY, I took a detour down the Taconic State Parkway to finally see Polar Peak. Here are a few pictures :)

Home Snowmaking Begins in 51 Days!

Let the countdown begin. First, we've
finished sending out recent orders and recounted the number of guns
we have available and it's slightly lower than we originally
though, just keep that in mind with your offers. You can start as
low as you want, but with each time it gets declined you are
wasting time in which others might be buying. Ok, here's the 411
if you want to get your hands on a snowmaker:

1) Reply to this post with an offer on the snowmaker of your
choice, make sure to include your email address so we can
reply. A reminder, here are your options:
--SNS Combo (orig. $279)
--SNS ComboPLUS (orig. $329)
--SNS SuperSnow (orig. $379)

2) Within 1 hour we will respond. If we accept, I will send a link
at which you can buy your snowmaker at that price. This link will
be valid for 1 hour. After that, your snowmaker is once again
available to the masses.

One more rule: you can only make on offer on one snowmaker at a
time. Once you have purchased one, can begin making offers on
others if you are interested in more than one.

I've had 10 people jump the gun and send offers already. You guys
will need to resend your offers for them to count. Also, a few of
you made offers for under $100. I did tell you to start low, but
with limited quantities, I'd raise it a bit.

YOU READY? GET SET...GO!

Name Your Price Sale Q&A

've had a few questions about the big sale tomorrow so I figured I
would address those now so we don't waste any time once things are
underway.

Q: Is it really "name a price"? Could I say $1?
A: Yeah, it really is. You tell me what a snowmaker is worth to
you. If it is only worth $1, I will probably say no to your offer,
but I think you'll be very surprised by how low we'll go.

Q: So I can make as many offers as I want?
A: Yes, but keep in mind that every time you make an offer, it
could take up to an hour to hear back from us. In the meantime, we
could be accepting other offers which would lessen the chance of
there being snowmakers left to buy.

Q: Can you give me a hint of what price I should start at?
A: Nope, that takes the fun out of it :) But I'll tell you this
much, if you want to increase your odds of getting a lower price,
give me compelling reason why I should. Tell me your story.

Q: What time will the sale begin?
A: It will start mid-day, around 2pm ET.

Q: So if you decline my offer, what happens?
A: We may make you a counter offer or we may not. If we do, you
are welcome to counter our offer, and so on. If not, just keep
making offers.

Q: How will shipping work?
A: Shipping will be free, as always, but because of the number of
orders coming in, snowmakers will be shipped out early next week
either Monday or Tuesday.

Name Your Price Sale...Seriously

Kind of funny that we talk about the season "ending" in February,
but such is home snowmaking...kind of sad! This year is a little
different though...

You see, each season we are left with tons of leftover parts that
we simply use in next year's design: no big deal. But this year,
the design is changing so much that most of our parts, if we don't
use them now, will be useless.

So, we could either return them to our suppliers, or, assemble them
into snowmakers and sell them. We've chosen to sell them, for two
reasons.

1) We recognize that snowmaking can be expensive for some people.
Because our alternative (returning the parts) means zero gain, we
can sell these snowmakers at whatever price we want.

2) I hate to return parts to a company that my be struggling during
tough economic times when each of their orders may be precious.

With that said, here is how this "end of season sale" will work. On
Thursday, February 12, we will send out an email at which time you
can begin "making offers" on whichever snowmaker you choose.

When you "make an offer" you are basically naming the price for
your snowmaker. You can make as many offers as you want, so you
might as well start low.

Within an hour of your offer, you will get an email back from us
saying we either accept your offer or making you a counter offer.
If we accept, we will send you a link where you can purchase your
snowmaker at that price. That link will be valid for 24 hours.
After that period, your snowmaker will be once again up for grabs.

As some of your know, when we have a sale, our snowmakers go fast
(orders usually begin coming in within 2 minutes of the sale
starting). This time, they will go even faster and quantities are
limited. We'll try to make sure everyone has a chance to get one,
but once they are gone, they really are gone.

So, keep an eye out for the email on Thursday and be thinking
about which snowmaker you want and what you want to pay for it.

And one more thing...Happy Valentine's Day!

Valentines Day Snowmaking Tribute

Its valentines Day, and what would Valentines be without a little snowmaking tribute :) See more at SN home snow makers.

First Snowmaking of the Year!

Hooray, we finally we able to make snow.
