Tricia Will Go Places & So Will You

After flying all over the world to catch this lovely little doll, we finally caught her, tied her up, sat her down onto a chair, gave her a cup of coffee, and got her into an interview =) Tricia Gosingtian loves her clothes, travels and she takes pictures for a living!

Tricia, tell us more about yourself and where you live!

I’m Tricia Gosingtian, half-Chinese half-Filipino, but born and raised in sunny Manila. I take pictures for a living, but also document my work, travels, personal style and lifestyle in my blog, Tricia Will Go Places. And, I can’t drink my coffee if I’m tied up, please untie me.

What are your passions?

I’m very much inspired by Japanese aesthetics, fashion and culture. I used to be inspired by Popteen magazine when I was younger, but at the moment ViVi magazine is somewhat like my monthly fashion bible. I think it’s really the perfect embodiment of my love for both Japanese fashion and Western high street fashion.

I’m also very passionate about photography, which is my first love. Before blogging, I was really active on the Internet with my photography.

I also love food (I instagram pretty much everything I eat… and I eat a lot!) and video games.

How is it like where you live?

Wonderful! I really do think that the Philippines is such a glorious country that everybody should visit.

And, your favorite place to shop?

Topshop, Zara, Mango, Forever 21, online stores, etc.

What if the world comes to and end in 2012 and you’re only allowed to prepare one outfit, what would it be.

I’d go for something really simple, like a chic top and a nice pair of jeans. I think I’d rather focus on things other than fashion if I knew that the world will come to an end soon!

And if the world doesn’t end in 2012, what are your plans.

Travel, travel, and more travel. Also, hoping to get back to doing photography again since I was really tied down with other things last year!

How is it like in the place you live in

I live in both Philippines & Singapore

Philippines is a really nice place to live in or to go to because of two things: It has several beautiful and breath-taking places (so many, I haven’t even been to half of it) and the people are so friendly and oozing with positivity. That’s what makes Philippines special. As they say, it’s more fun in the Philippines! J

Singapore is a culturally-diversed country. You can learn different things from the different people and their different traditions. Oh, Singapore is also cuisine hot-spot. You can have an authentic taste of the world in just one city!

Where’s your favourite place to shop

I love Forever 21, Cotton On and Zara. For cheap finds, I always go to Bugis (Singapore)!

If the world comes to and end in 2012 and you’re only allowed to prepare one outfit, what would it be.

It’d probably my dream wedding gown. I’ve always pictured myslef on that special day, but if the end of the world is just around the corner, and by that time I’m still single, I would just wear my wedding gown. At least I’ll die happy.

And if the world doesn’t end in 2012, what are your plans.

Live my life to the fullest, love more, and be successful.

What’s on your ipod/reading list

House music and the usual latest billboard hits. I’m not much of a reader, but when I do, I like reading Sophie Kinsella’s books.

What’s your favourite snupped case and why

Of course, the owl case! Honestly, it was a difficult decision for me at first because of the numerous options and beautiful designs. But the playful contrast of the owls’ colors and the black background won my heart.

If you were granted one wish today, what would you wish for?

To have thousand more wishes!

If you could wake up tomorrow having gained a super power, what would it be?

Before I would love to have the power to read other peope’s mids. But in my current situation, I would like to have the power to teleport instantly from one place to another.

Where do you want to travel to
First, I want to travel to some of the untouched or underrated parts of the Philippines, like Caramoan and Anawaning cove. Then, my next target would be Asian countries, Bangkok for one. As for my finale, I would travel to my ultimate dream destination, Greece.

Any fashion advice for ladies/men
As cliché as it may sound, do not restrict your style to the current trend or to what other people might say. Style your hearts out. And if you ever face a fashion disaster moment, treat it as a learning experience J

My name is Paula but everyone calls me Paulitta. I`m 22 years old, fashion enthusiast and I am from Poland. I am a Student of the Fine Art Academy in Warsaw. Also I write fashion blog: http://japanesefly.blogspot.com/

What are you passions
I love drawing ,specially in a fashion designing. I love also dance mainly dance hall ;)

How is it like in the place you live in
I love living in a capital of Poland - Warsaw. It is so interesting town.

Where’s your favourite place to shop
In Warsaw are many second hand and vintage shops. A lot of them are situated near my home. I love them for low prices and for original items which are unique!

If the world comes to end in 2012 and you’re only allowed to prepare one outfit, what would it be.
It would be: the black and white aztec mini dress in which I look very well ;) , white Jeffrey Cambell Tardy on my feet and high pony tail on my head.

It is my dream to be a famous stylist and to design clothes which I love the much as possible.

For sure I would have the power of telekinesis and I could move items with not touching them.

My dream is go to the New York , see the yellow taxis, walk to the central park, lie on the grass and watch the skyscrapers..

He was an inspiration, a revolutionist, and a motivational character to the people around him. Yes he stepped on quite a few feet along the way, but by doing so he changed the world we know today. It’s a colorful week at Snupped as we welcome four new designs into our collection. They are so colorful that they will plain color your socks off. How’s that!

1. Dazzled By You

We’ve gotta warn you that this ain’t your typical paisley design. All possible combinations of colors are thrown into it, stirred, and violently mixed until this perfect concoction of colors came out to give you a design that is out of this world. Go ahead and tell the world how much you rock today with this sleeve!

2. Lavender Bohemian Bouquet

This one will totally go well with that favorite lavender dress! The summer sun is strong this year, and it has encouraged these large beautiful purple flowers to bloom.

3. Flower Power Disco

Yes, this summer, we have lots of flowers for you! This one is very special… We travelled back in time about 20 years ago through our office bathtub, and we secretly put a pot of flowers in a disco. When we got back to the present, we found that those flowers have been totally discofied! Of course, we have to put them on your sleeves… :)

4. Ichibuki Lando

When we went back in time, we also travelled to Japan for a short vacation. We discovered a strange tiny island near Okinawa. On this island, we met pirate cats, talking sushi rice balls and pink piggies that climbed trees!

Going Hong Kong

Darcy and I (Bryan) will be flying off to Hong Kong tomorrow in search of new materials to make Snupped laptop sleeves even cooler than they are now! Production of orders will continue as per usual. All emails will still be replied though they may take a little longer. :) Anyone have any must-see places to recommend us in Hong Kong?

IPhone Travel Essentials

We’re gonna be making a trip real soon to Hong Kong to check out all the awesome new materials for our laptop sleeves. Being the tech geeks we are and armed with iPhones, we decked out our phones with some spanking new apps to survive us through our trip. To the Snuppie reading this who will be travelling overseas soon, I hope that you’ll find this of some use!

1. Angry Birds

We’re hopelessly addicted to this game! When we aren’t thinking about laptop sleeves, we are busy shooting down green mustached pigs with angry looking birds. Thus, this game will serve us well should we be bored on the plane, or while waiting for a delayed bus or train.

2. FlightTrack – Live Flight Status Tracker

This app will inform us about any possible delays, and give us all the essential information in a glance (departure gate, arrival gate) about our flight.

3. iWeather Pro

The standard weather app that comes default with the iPhone works pretty well, but iWeather Pro gives us a better picture of the weather over at our destination. All these information are right at our fingertips!

4. iDarkroom

We are really big fans of Lomo, so with iDarkroom’s impressive range of vintage filters, we couldn’t be more happy!

5. Dropbox

Dropbox is an online backup solution where you can save your important documents and have them available anytime on the Internet. What’s most cool is their iPhone app, which gives us the ability to pretty much retrieve anything anytime and anywhere :). We put our important travel information inside so we can retrieve them in times of need!

Slight Changes To Our Website

We made some pretty big cosmetic changes to our website recently. The most noticeable change will be that Minis and Socks are no longer available. Having multiple product lines on our website has made it a little more confusing to our customers. What’s the difference between a Mini and a Sock? If you have an iPad, should you be getting a Zipper or a Sock? Thus, we have streamlined our shop, focusing back on our Zipper sleeve. The Sock and Mini will make their comebacks in a separate part of our site real soon.

The other big change is in our Magic builder. The interface has been reworked so that creating your own laptop sleeve is a lot simpler and more fun!

Chinese New Year celebrations are over, and our seamstresses are all reporting back to work. We are working double time to catch up with our backlog of orders now so we can mail out all those sleeves! Expect some new designs this week too. It’s gonna be an exciting week for us!
