When I woke up for church yesterday morning, I was trying to figure out how I can spice up my outfit. I found a pretty interesting video on youtube on how to tie a regular tie into a bow tie. After that my outfit just came together.

I borrowed one of my dad's ties to complete my look. I got a lot of stares lol because of my outfit but who cares.

So what do you ladies think, did I hit the mark with my Janelle Monae inspired outfit?

Ok to get the weekend started I figured I could start by posting a tutorial. I have a set schedule in my mind for how I want my post to go...let's just see if I can stick to it.

So this is the look I wore to work on Christmas Eve. I saw a pic on tumblr of a look similar to what I created and if I can find it again I will go back and edit this post so you ladies can see it.

Happy New Year and What's To Come...

So first let me start off by saying HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I can truly say that I am excited to see what the new year holds for me and I am so ready :)

Ok now that I've gotten that out of the way, I want to discuss what's to come with my blog. I've noticed that my last couple of posts have been tutorials. Now that is cool because last year I wanted to push myself into making more videos. Well, I didn't really mean in this way.

So be looking for more outfit, reviews, hauls, as well as other new exciting things to spice up my blog. I probably will reduce the posting of videos to once a week to space it out a lil. I will also be doing diy posts and videos as well.

If you ladies have any suggestions for what you would like to see on my blog, please feel free to let me know in the comments.

1. I am extremely petite lol. I'm only 5'2 and I weight about 100 lbs -_- yea it's that kind of party.

My 24th bday and 1st Time Rockin My Natural Hair...

Yesterday I turned 24. YAY!! Happy Birthday to Me : D! I enjoyed my day with family since the weather was quite rainy in VA. I do go out later on last night for a couple hours but it was just to chill with some friends.

For my hair, I originally wanted to invest in some Bohyme hair but I couldn't find the time to see if my local beauty supply store had any in stock. I gave up in getting that hair for now (it may be my christmas hairstyle) and just decided to attempt to style my natural hair.

I have never been good at doing my own hair. If it was a weave or wig, I can do just about anything and everything to make it look nice. So I was hoping I could whip something up. I knew I wanted to attempt a twist out but my only concern was if it would look decent enough after I finished.

I followed tonidaley80's video on youtube for how to do a twist out on blow dried hair and I followed prettydimples01 video to get my blow dried hair.

Here's the end result which I am extremely happy with....

The only thing I wish I did is washed, blow dried, and twisted my hair the day before so my twists could be more defined. I did everything yesterday morning so the twists weren't as defined as I would have like. It was still cute nonetheless. I retwisted my hair last night and slept with them in so hopefully I will have better results.

I'm really starting to LOVE my CCS!!!

I went in there on Sat and found the chromographic pencils! I was so happy and glad that I waited before I bought them online. I only bought the blue and purple but I'm thinking about going back to get the red and pink. I'm not sure if you can use them near your eye but I was thinking I could use them as lip liners instead. They were only $10.50!

I got my first MAC blush in Gentle. It's a mineralize and so far so good. I am in love with the color! I love the gold sparkles : )

I also found the magically cool liquid powder. This is a permanent item but I found the one that came out with the Disney collection last year. This was $20.50 I believe.

I also bought some eyeshadows. Mulled Cider, Aqua, and Spectacle of Yourself. These were around $10.50 I think.

Last but not least, from the counter I bought 2 paint pots from the posh paradise collection. Nubile and Idylic. These are my first paintpots and I'm getting use to them. I can't figure out if you're suppose to be another base on top of the paintpot but whatever. I have found ways to make them work.

Don't sleep on your CCS and CCO ladies! They have some really good stuff sometimes!

This is how I had planned on wearing my makeup on Saturday to work but ended up not going because of Irene. I used a lil Sephora eyeshadow palette that I bought some time last year that was only $6! Don't sleep on the sale section on the sephora website, sometimes they have really good deals. For the teal liner on my bottom lashline, I used a NYX pearl pigment in Turqiose. I also applied the ELF Natural lashes.

This is starting to be my go to look when I don't know what else to do to my face. The only thing that would probably chance is the lower lashline color.
