CASE-ing Maile...

I have lots of favorite cards makers on my list. Maile is one of them for sure! I love her CAS style! She's amazing! So when I saw her card this week for Case Study, I had to stop in and case her! :)

Here is my card...

I used her stamp set called Sketched Shapes and then added in the hello die cut and some bling!

I am having an amazing quiet Sunday! Just cleaning up my room and watching Scandal on Netflix. Do you watch it? I am on episode 3 so I have lots to get caught up on! The kids are at grandmas for a few hours and its such a well needed quiet afternoon. OH did I say quiet already? hehe!

Stoppin' in with a quick card today for this week's Retro Sketches. The original card is ADORABLE and you can check it out here. Danielle is joining us this month and she is pretty amazing! I wish she would come to my house and give me coloring lessons! ;)

Ok here is my card....similar feel to last weeks card. I noticed that once I uploaded it a few minutes ago. But that is ok. It's still all about gray and coral for me. Can't. Stop.

I used PTI's woodgrain impression plate on the card base. Then I used a Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle die for the first mat. I added in some arrow border from Verve and topped it off with a new sentiment from Let it Be, also from Verve. Don't forget the coral enamel dots from Teresa Collins! :)

Stopping in right quick with a fun little card I whipped up recently.

I stamped and stamped off the clouds on the card base in white ink. Then I added in a balloon die that I stamped with woodgrain. I used Glossy Accents to attach the white twine to the card. I added in a sentiment and then a wooden heart on top of the balloon, and covered that in stickles. A little sparkle is good right?

Hey there! I have 3 quick sneaks for you today on this last day of previews for CAS-ual Fridays. Today's sets are background sets and would be super fun to add to your crafting stash!

This first card, I masked the background and stamped the dashed chevron in Aqua Mist ink. I added in a gray thank u and some sequins for a little bling.

For this tag, I stamped in white ink on kraft and then added in a sentiment and some rose buds.

And last, a quick little mini with this fun houndstooth background. Super quick and easy!

I have a fun little card to share today using a new CFS stamp set called Tech Talk....

I simply stamped this fun little sentiment in white and added a popped up heart after running the whole thing through with an impression plate. Easy peasy!

I got a new set from Mama Elephant the other day. It's this fun alphabet called Flashy Letters. I was playing with it on scratch paper and spelled out my name...

After I looked at that picture on Instagram, I thought this layout would be a fun card. So here is what I whipped up...

I stamped the alphabet in Bubblegum from Amuse and then gave them a highlight with a C1 Copic.

I added in some embossed stripes for a fun little effect. And you know how I am loving stripes at the moment! :)

I have some more new Verve for you today in the form of a Retro Sketch. Today's sketch was based on my original card you can see HERE. Here is my redo...

I stamped the arrow border from the Borderline set, in Provincial Gray from Fresh Ink. (LOVE!) And the sentiment from Let It Be is stamped in Tomato Red. I added in some My Minds Eye enamel dots and a wooden arrow to finish it off!

Using my Scor-Pal, I scored lines every half inch down the front of the card. I stamped the circle in SU Real Red and the sentiment in CTMH Slate. I added in the anchor image using SU Island Indigo. Super CAS! Love this striped nautical theme!

I am super late today for my CAS-ual Fridays post! I have a card using a couple of fun sets! This card does really wrap up the day I've had for sure! Waking up to no internet and this post not posting when it was supposed to! :) But everything is fantastic...even though I'm late! :)

I used a border stamp from Countdown for the background. Then I added in a sentiment from Truth Is. I finished it off with 2 little rose buds.

a striped hello...

I want to use PTI's hello die on everything. Help me. It just has so many possibilities. So here is a little negative die + stripe usage....

So instead of coral and gray, I have now moved on to navy and red. FUN times! I stamped the stripes across the background and then cut out a cirlce with my creative memories circle cutter. Yes I still have it. Yes the blades are still sharp after years of use. And yes. I still love that thing. Then I put the circle on the front of the card and cut the top and bottom off to fit snuggly in the corner. I ran it though with the hello die washi taped in place and the attached it to my card front with foam tape. I finished it off with a little enamel dot. Yes. I love those too. I need more. I just ordered some this weekend with the enabling help of my friend Amy. Thank girl! :)

I got to see Amy this weekend! My husband is working in her town so I went up to visit and we got to do a little shopping and a Chipotle lunch! One day of perfection for sure. (Minus telling the kids to keep their hands in their pockets after knocking a display of smooches ink on the floor. Oh my!)

So now I am home with a few minutes of quiet and wanted to share my card with you! Hope you are having a great weekend! Thanks for stopping in!

Sequin-y Hello!

I'm so excited to be joining in this week for the Sequin Series over at Neat and Tangled. I have a fun little hello card to share today.

First, I took the chevron stamp from Little Tangles and stamped it down most of the card base using Versamark. I took a little glassine bag (also from Neat and Tangled) and heat embossed the "hello" sentiment on the front with white embossing powder. Next, I gave the top of the bag a scalloped edge then I added several colors of sequins to the bag and sealed it with adhesive. I finished it off with some washi tape and twine for a little decoration. It's like a shaker card party in a bag! :)

Just stoppin' in with a quick card I made awhile back. I used a little set from Studio Calico for this card.

The background is some houndstooth adhesive backed fabric that I have no idea where it came from. I added in a little SC wood arrow and then what I like to call "controlled misting". I took a puddle of crystal lacquer and a dot of black ink refill and stirred them together. Then I took a stylus and carefully placed the dots right where I wanted them. You see...I am misting challenged. It's too unpredictable for me. This way I had complete control. :)

polka dotted hello...

Happy Saturday! I've got a sketch card for you today. As always, it's been changed up a little! Hope you like it!

I masked off the base of this card and then stamped 2 rows of polka dots. One green and one yellow. Then I took a lighter yellow ink and sponged all over the polka dots just to change the background a little more. Then I die cut the top panel and attached it with foam tape.

OK now I have a funny story that some of you might appreciate. I have to share! So I am sitting in the living room tonight, texting with my friend Amy and watching the Duck Dynasty season finale with my husband. I'm sitting there in the dark and I feel this little bump on my arm. I use the dim light from my phone to look at my arm and there is this black bump. I panic. I think it's a tick. I hate ticks. HATE. So I run and turn on the light. Guess what it is?

A black pearl. Even funnier? I hadn't been in my craft room for a couple hours. I must have been wearing this little embellishment all evening! It made me laugh and reminded me of when I found a pop dot in my daughters diaper! Haha!

Today is Festive Friday! Did you know? Yep! Meredith over at FF asked me to join in this week and create a little something. Of course, I said yes and here I am!

Here is the inspiration picture for this week...

And here is my take...

I used a bird die and cut it out of some cream felt. I used woodgrain paper for the tag and stamped a sentiment in Vintage Cream. I layered it up with some red card stock and on to a Rustic White base.

It's the 25th! Time for another PTI Blog Hop! When I saw this month's theme...I knew I was SO in. Check it out....

I have been striping and tilting everything recently so I was all over this. If you follow my blog, you may have seen THIS card recently. I am still on that envelope inspired kick. I love all the angles and the stripes and maybe you are sick of my posting all about them. :) But if not, here is another one for ya...

I just bought a set from a friend called Super Stripes from PTI. I did sorta squeal when I opened up the package yesterday. Yes. I just got it in the mail yesterday and made this up right quick. Just for today's blog hop!

I used Amuse's Slate Gray ink...love. The sentiment is stamped in PTI's Hawaiian Shores. I added in some enamel dots too!

Today is my last day as guest designer for Avery Elle stamps! I want to send a big thank you to Jamie for having me! I have a little 4x4 card for you today, using Link it Up and Framed Fonts.

I stamped the border stamp using CTMH Slate gray and then stamped it off first, and stamped onto the card next. I make a little tag from the coral paper and then added in the sentiment. I finished it off with some white twine and a little wooden arrow.
