Florence Welch is rumoured to be appearing on the the next Twilight movie soundtrack later this year.

Recently the lead singer of Florence And The Machine, Florence Welch, has been dropping hints that she might be contributing music to the new Twilight movie, Eclipse which is to be released later this year. The singer was speaking as part of a special 10 covers issue for NME on the state of music in 2010.

Welch said “I would do a song for the Twilight soundtrack, but its not confirmed yet”

In the same NME interview, she admitted that she avoids using the internet, in case she reads something about herself that she doesn’t like.

“Don’t ever Google yourself, ever. I really avoid it,” she explained. “Another thing I can’t look at is Wikipedia. There was a thing on it that said my mother was Irish and that I’ve got bipolar disorder!”

The special NME covers have been made to mark the launch of the new NME revamp. The magazine has had a complete make over, with a new front, features and reviews sections, and an update for NME’s iconic logo.

You can View the special 10 cover issues now on the NME website.

These covers feature:

Jack White

Florence And The Machine

LCD Soundsystem

Rihanna

Kasabian

Laura Marling

Foals

MIA

Biffy Clyro

Magnetic Man

To celebrate their special edition, NME have hidden 5 golden tickets in 5 of the special edition magazines. The five tickets will be hidden across the UK, and whoever finds them gets two tickets to one of this year’s festivals including Reading and Leeds festival, V festival and T In The Park.

This week's quick look at the UK Top 40 singles and album charts, with Lady Gaga, Scouting for Girls and Justin Bieber.

After two weeks of being No.1, Lady Gaga’s ‘Telephone’ featuring Beyonce was pushed of the top spot by the newly released tune ‘This Aint A Love Song’, by Scouting for Girls. The boy band’s song is a come back, as they haven’t released any new material in a year. Their second album will be released later this year, with the name ‘Everybody Wants To Be On TV’. The band were excited to find out that they were number one, as their official page shows.

New star Plan B missed out by being placed third, as well as Delirious who were placed fourth. It seems like Lady Gaga is loosing her reign overall on the music charts, falling to second place in the album chart. She was beaten by Boyzone’s new album ‘Brother’, a tribute to Stephen Gately, who died last year. Justin Bieber’s album ‘My World’ holds the third spot. Although the teenage fans seem to love him, he just doesn’t seem capable of taking the top spot here in the UK just yet.

Scouting For Girls’ self-named debut album had two hits that made it into the charts in 2008, but only ‘Elvis Aint Dead’ got to number 1. Their first album re-entered the album charts and made it to number 35.

Tickets for this year's Glastonbury festival are now sold out, despite no acts being confirmed for the festival...

We reported back in October that half of this year’s Glastonbury tickets had sold out in a pre sale event. Yesterday saw more tickets becoming available and all of them selling out. Glastonbury 2009 is now sold out, with the only tickets possibly becoming available being cancelled tickets.

The surprising take on this news of a sell out is that not a single act has yet been confirmed for the 2009 festival, which compares favourably to the initial struggles faced in selling tickets for 2008’s festival which say Jay Z perform.

Did you manage to get a ticket?

Lil Wayne had been promising fans an album with a rockier edge to it for while, so the leak of forthcoming “Prom Queen” came as a surprise to everyone, including producers Infamous and Drew Correa, when he did just that.

“Prom Queen” is taken from upcoming LP “Rebirth”, and is expected to be released on April 7th 2009.

“There were rumors Wayne was working on a rock album, but I assumed it was just [electronic] 808 drums with guitars on it,” Infamous told Billboard.com ”But that night when we worked on the track, Wayne said he wanted lots of drums, bass and guitars. Drew started to add organs, and [Wayne] said no. That’s when I realized it was actually going to be a real rock album.”

Producer Correa added ”When the track came together the next morning everyone thought it was the shit and [Wayne] told us it would be a single… we thought he was joking. We thought he was just saying that to be nice. But a couple of days later we were signing paperwork and it was actually happening.”

Despite their initial doubts, Infamous and Correa went on to produce three of the tracks on “Rebirth”.

“He’s done everything he can with hip-hop and has proven himself,” added Infamous “Now he’s about to prove himself as a rocker and we’re excited to be a part of it.”

(Source:Gigwise.com)

Radiohead’s first three studio albums - ‘Pablo Honey’, ‘The Bends’ and ‘OK Computer’ - are to be reissued as new double-CD editions by the band’s former record label, EMI.

Each reissue will include the album, as well as all the corresponding b-sides and a selection of live material.

EMI is also releasing a special collectors edition of each record which includes a bonus DVD of the band’s music videos and their 1994 performance at the London Astoria.

However, in order to get the whole concert fans will have to buy the special edition of ‘Pablo Honey’ and ‘The Bends’ as it has been separated over two DVDs.

All three albums will be available from March 24th.

Guns N’ Roses are said to be planning a new world tour which will begin in March next year.

Guitarist Richard Fortus, who has toured with the group since 2002, made the revelation in an Illinois newspaper.

Fortus, who was being interviewed about a one-night reunion of his former band, Pale Divine, was quoted as saying the tour would last “at least two years.”

Speculation over Guns N’ Roses touring future has been rife following disappointing sales of their long-awaited new album ‘Chinese Democracy’.
