I’m trying to participate this network event and gather Japan’s movement on social entrepreneurship.

However, my concern is about my panic disorder, which might make it difficult on the day.

If I’m allowed to take pictures, I’ll and post it here.

As always, there’re some inappropriate pictures taken accidentaly (couples getting into Japanese love hotels, teenage couples kissing on street, etc…), and some of them are said to be reported to Google to delete them.

Social Entrepreneurship Support Summit 2008 - collaboration with social entrepreneurs & students x citizens x mass media to awake everyone to social entrepreneurship.

Social Entrepreneurship Support Sumit 2008 (1st)

“84% of Japanese do not know social entrepreneurship.” This is the report by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industory in spring 2008.

To know the shocking fact, teenagers have started to organize this event to rise citizens’ recognition, with listening to social entrepreneurs’ voice.

10 young social entrepreneurs from all over Japan show up at one time. In addtion, 300 citizens join in the event.

Unable to connect to Database Server

Will they pay (PowerNetworks and other subscribers) us back for the periods servers were down?

What is wrong with Internet in UK? Why are they so weak?

Alternatives? Pre-paid credit cards are not available in Japan (yet or will never be…). Even it’s hard for you to get credit cards, you can set up bank accounts easily compared to getting credit cards.

Most Japanese bank cards come with debit cards, so you can use your bank card to purchase and/or pay if the shop accepts debit cards.

VISA Japan offers debit cards, too and you can get it from Suruga Bank. VISA debit cards can widely be used among VISA partner shops.

According to Damien, there are a few people who are charging anywhere from €550 to €1500 (Euros). This equates to $857.00 to $2,338.33. I can’t imagine anyone in their right mind who would pay that amount to have WordPress installed for them.

I’ve posted about this on my blog and another site (FPN) popular to Internet users in Japan. Japanese don’t really leave comments on blog itself, but they comment within their favorite social bookmarks.

So according to comments left on Hatena bookmark, so far at this point I’m writing this, most people find $857.00 (or somewhere around $500) as reasonable price for installation of WordPress.

I’m not exactly sure how many of them are on customer side, how many are on provider side. But this is very interesting by comparing comments left on Weblog Tools Collection.
