Head downtown this Saturday for the Temple Theatre’s annual Wine Tasting and Art Walk (4-7pm). You’ll get wine tastings and food for $30 in advance or $35 the night of. More details at this link.

The Great Strides Sanford walk to cure CF is this Saturday at Kiwanis Park (9am). They’ll have entertainment, a kids’ zone, and a silent auction. Registration is a suggested $25 donation and includes lunch.

The weather is looking perfect for the Central Carolina Jaycees' Friday night movie in Depot Park. This week’s showing will be Hook. The movie starts at sunset.

Sanford Academy is holding an open gym night on Friday (7-10pm). The cost is $7/hour or $15 for the whole night.

Another local farm is opening for the season. Spivey Farms will have strawberries to pick, as well as fresh asparagus and tomatoes, on Friday and Saturday (8am-6pm). Call 919-499-0807 for prices or more information.

Today is “Day of the Young Child” at the Lions Club Fairgrounds (9-11am). They’ll have music, storytelling, games, and more for children under age 5.

Sanford Feed & Tack on Rose Street is going out of business. Everything in the store is now 50% off. Their hours are 9am to 5pm.

San Lee Middle School is holding an informal open house for rising sixth graders tonight (6:30-7:30pm). Drop in, ask questions, and learn more about the school.

Preschool Prodigy’s free story time is tomorrow (10am). Take your preschooler for a story and themed activities.

Take the family to Great Clips on Saturday night for hair cuts to benefit Great Strides Sanford (6-8pm). Cuts are a suggested donation of $10.

Today’s the day to sign up for the Temple Theatre’s summer youth conservatory. There will be two sessions for $350 each and slots are filled on a first come, first served basis. Details here.

The City of Sanford is looking for photos of Sanford's most popular destinations or historic sites/locations of local significance. Submit yours to kelly.miller@sanfordnc.net by Friday and you might see them on the Sanford Bike Plan website (with your byline)!

This week’s Friday night movie at Depot Park will be Tangled. The movie will begin at sunset. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Bring your own chair or blanket!
