Changing your profile pic on Google+ takes about a minute to figure out. This will however serve as a guide and help you get things done right away. If you are new to Google+ you will realize that your profile picture or image is important because whenever your + (plus) something it gets found on search engines and a good picture of you means your friends will be able to recognize you. There are a lot of benefits to having a nice profile picture on Google+. So without wasting any more time let's get down to it.

How to change your profile picture on Google+
1. Login to Google+
2. Click on the profile icon - which has a face with a circle around it
3. When you land on your profile page click on 'Edit Profile' found on the top-right hand corner
4. Under your current photo you find a link called 'Change Photo'
5. A window opens up with a few options i.e select photo from computer and drag photo here etc. You can also use your webcam to take a photo.
6. Click set as profile photo when your done and that's it. You might need to crop your photo though if it is too large and does not fit in the profile photo window.
7. After this you can either click share - to let everyone else know or click on cancel to not broadcast your new pic.

Facebook Timeline: How to change your relationship status without letting your friends know

Many users like to broadcast their new found love on FB but then things go a little sour and break-ups can become quiet public on Facebook. Especially when you change your status from 'In a relationship', 'Married' or 'Engaged' to 'Single'. All this does not have to happen in front of all your friends and if you are not careful to same goes to all your friends 'news feed'. So if you would like to keep things private and change your status without having your relationship status broadcasted to all your fiends pages, follow the steps below to safely change your status and not let you friends know.

Steps to follow
1. On Timeline click on About
2. Beside basic info click on edit
3. Beside relationship status choose single or whichever status you desire.
4. Click the Globe icon and from the drop-down choose 'Only Me'. Now only you can view your relationship status'
5. Click Save

Next
1. Beside your 'Relationship Box' click the edit icon
2. Click the globe icon and from the drop-down choose 'Only Me'.
3. Click save and your relationship status will disappear. This way your relationship status stays private and confidential.

What to do if you have already broadcasted your relationship status on Facebook Timeline and want to cancel it.
1. On your Facebook Timeline click on Activity log and from there find the status and beside the globe icon click on the circle icon. From there choose 'Hide from Timeline'. This will remove your relationship status update from your Timeline and remove it from your friends news feed. Now your free. Please leave a comment with what you think.

This is what a Cincinnati court ordered Mark Byron to do for a whole month. He was asked to post an apology a day to his estranged wife on his Facebook page. His wife Elizabeth Byron however has already unfriended him on Facebook and will not be able to read his apologies. Media experts and free speech advocates have begun to cry foul as this has to do with his friends. The court ruling was meant to be for him. if that were the case then why are his friends being forced to listen on Facebook to his apologies. We would like to term this as 'Social Media punishment'. You never knew till today that you might be forced by a court to pay for your mistakes on Facebook. Facebook has been made a tool for punishment. However it seems much better than spending 60 days in jail.

If you are not new to Facebook you might have also have been witness to such situations. Where a couple break-up and go their separate ways, one of them might on occasion turn to Facebook to explain their point of view. There could also be attempts to mislead or caste the other person in unfavorable light in front of their mutual friends. I have personally witnessed such cases with my Facebook friends. Seems that this is not very uncommon and happens a lot.

In this case however the court ruled that many of his statements were "clearly intended to be mentally abusive, harassing and annoying" and "generate a negative and venomous response toward her from his Facebook friends." So the next time you think that turning to your Facebook friends to get even with your partner think again.

Samsung Galaxy Tab: How to uninstall, remove or delete Apps

All apps that you install and add from the Android market can be removed except for apps that come pre-installed on the tablet. 1. On the Home screen tap on menu

If you are using Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 there it is even simpler as you do not need to go to the app settings to remove apps

How to delete, remove or disable all your Google Search history before Google's new privacy policy takes effect on March 1st

We can infer that many people on the internet are worried about Google's new privacy policy that is going to take effect on March 1st. Once the new policy comes into effect all Google's products will be clubbed as one in terms of search history and privacy. So all your search history: YouTube, Google+, Google etc will be stored as one. Previously if you searched Google then your search history was stored only in relation to your search and not clubbed with your YouTube history. All this will change and all your history across all Google sites will not be clubbed together. If you are worried that particular sensitive information about you might be stored. Now is your chance to change things and remove all web history from Google. Once you remove all web history, all your search history will be erased and Google will no longer record your search and web history. So do this now and Google will stop recording all your search history across all it's products like Google, Google+ and YouTube.

How to remove and clear all search and web history on Google
1. Go to www.google.com/history
2. Click 'Remove all Web History'. Your Web history will also be paused till you enable it again.
3. You're done

Note: This does not mean that Google will not store information about you to help serve better search results etc but this info can also be demanded by the law at any time. Stopping your search history will reduce all records Google keeps about you and also protect your search privacy.

How to turn-off, stop, disable or prevent YouTube from storing your video view history

YouTube has a history section for you to go to whenever you want to find a video you had watched in the past. Once you login to your YouTube account clicking on your Channel name will bring up the history section. Selecting this section will bring up a list of all video you have viewed on YouTube. This is a handy little application that all users can make good use of. However if you do not want to YouTube to remember the list of videos you have used there is an easy way to stop it.

How to stop YouTube from storing my video view history
1. You can go to your video view settings page.
2. Selecting 'Pause Search History" will essentially stop YouTube from storing your the history of your video views.

How to clear all video search history on YouTube
1. On the same page click on 'Clear All Search History'
This will clear all your video view search history. You can also use the selection tool to remove individual videos from your search history.

What happens when you click 'Not Now' after receiving a friend request on Facebook

We are answering this question because of a number of requests from our users. The question we were asked goes like this ' I sent a friend request that was not accepted but I was surprised to find that I was subscribed to that person'. You might have also had such an experience. You get a friend request and you click the 'not now' button. Technically this is what needs to happen.

Once you click on 'Not Now' the friend request is hidden and will no longer appear on your friend request list. The person who sent you the request will not know because no notification is sent. You can confirm or delete a request later by

1. Click on 'Friend Requests' page
2. Select 'See hidden Requests'
3. You can choose to confirm or delete friend requests from here or simply delete all your hidden requests.

If on the other hand you have the 'Subscriber' button turned on, clicking on not now seems to add the person to your subscriber list. This has happened to many users. maybe you clicked on the 'Not Now' option but were yet surprised to see that person on your Subscriber list. This could also be because that person clicked on the 'Subscribe' button. Since you did choose to be able to let Facebook users choose to follow your updates, there is nothing wrong. On the other hand a trend is starting to emerge where clicking on the 'Not Now' button adds that person as a subscriber if you have added the Subscribe button to your profile. Google's Adsense program announced sometime ago that Adsense Ads especially the ones with image and rich media ads will get a +1 button. The +1 button has been added for people to +1 ads and therefore when a friend sees that another friend has liked this ad they will also want to check it out. This might bring in much more revenue for publishers. The idea has been to create social ads. So by default if you have your ads set to display image and rich media ads, it comes along with a +1 button. The button shows recommendations from people and increase the ads social value.

Now this is still in a testing stage and you as a blog owner or publisher can experiment with it. You can choose to have the +1 button or remove it. It helps increase revenue for some and might not work as good for others. You will need to decide which ads work best for you.

Windows 8 will not have a Start button

Microsoft's latest build of Windows 8 will come without a start button. User should be prepared to not have that handy start button that users have gotten used to. Build 8220 will be the final version before the Beta release, now know as the Consumer Preview debuts before the end of this month. This according to a report by 'The Verge'. Users of Windows are familiar with the start button located at the lower left-hand corner of the screen. Clicking on this button would give users the options to open files and folders, Apps and a general path into he heart of their PCs.

The Start button was introduced with with Windows 95 nearly 15 years ago and the new 'Windows 8 Consumer Preview' will do away with it. Pics of the build were leaked on the internet and show a super-bar without the Start Button Orb. According to sources close to The Verge the start button corner will now have something called a hot corner. Hovering with your mouse or swiping with your fingers will bounce you back and forth between the Metro UI and desktop mode. The 'Super bar' first introduced with Windows 7 will remain. With its ability to pin desktop apps.

Google's new program will pay users to browse the web

Google has launched a new program called Screenwise. The way it works is that you would need to sign-up for the program and install a Chrome Extension in your browser. This extension will monitor the sites you visit and how you use them. This information will be sent to Google and they will use this data to study user behavior on the web.

What's in it for you? As soon as you sign-up you get an $5 Amazon.com Gift code, if you stay with the program you will get an additional $5 Amazon Gift Card every 3 months. You can get up to $25 in amazon Gift coupons. To be eligible you would need to be over 13 years of age, have a Google account and be ready to use the Google Chrome Browser. Not surprisingly new sign-ups are currently on hold due to the large response received till now.

There is also another program which has not yet been launched by Google. This is for people who would allow Google to view their browsing habits as an open book. This will involve hardware as well, a special device will need to be attached to your broadband router. This device will monitor all the computers in your home and track all the browsing activity of your home computers. This program will compensate participants $100 for signing up and $20 a month for up to a year.

Madonna's Israeli fans create Facebook page asking their PM to hold off attack till after May 29th

With all the verbal exchanges happening between Israel and Iran over the Iranian nuclear program. Most Israelis are worried that their PM Benjamin Netanyahu might launch a strike against Iran in the near future. To make their voice heard, there is a Facebook page asking their PM to delay any attack plans till after the 29th of May. If you click the about link on the page this is what is says: Netanyahu, No! no to war with Iran, untill Madonna's tour visit to Israel in may 29th. Clicking on the Info link on the page you get this message: War of any kind is bad, we call or leaders, prime minister Netanyahu and Barak, to avoid any attack of any kind against Iran or whatever, at least until Madonna's tour visit in Israel. god save the queen.

The page is quiet simple and has not been able to get a large number of 'Likes'. As of now it is 179 likes and has 10 people talking about it. There is however a lot of conversation happening and each post has a lot of comments. The discussions are heating up with people who like the idea and others who don't. Most do not like the idea with one user saying 'I say hit the Madonna concert on the way to Iran....two birds....'

Like Dropbox which offers 2 GB of Free storage and can be used as an extra drive on your PC. Google's new service is going to be called simply 'Drive'. It will function like an extra hard-drive on your PC and sync all the files you store on that drive in the cloud. This means no matter where you are and what system you are using, all your files will be accessible to you wherever you are. People using multiple devices to access the internet and all their date has given rise to 'Cloud Computing'. Google's famed GDrive will rival other cloud-storage services like iCloud from Apple, which lets users store all their data in the cloud and Dropbox which now has more than 45 million users. Dropbox also saves over 1 billion files every few days.

The rise of cloud-storage services is driven by the need that people need to be on the go and not burdened with large cumbersome gadgets. Once you store all your files in the cloud they are available wherever you are, all you need is a simple internet connection. Google Drive is set to launch in the next few months and will offer free storage to uses. For those users who need larger amounts of free storage there will be a pay per store option. This service will especially come in handy for those users who would like to store and share their photos, videos and large files all in one location.
