Opera Adds FREE UNLIMITED VPN SERVICE to it's Android Browser

In the battle for the greatest browsing app on the giant android market, Opera is really but a small percentage holder. Chrome, Firefox, Edge and China's very own Uc Browser hold a bit more of the percentage market share.

In it's effort to jump back to it's peak days of Opera Mini (I guess this was also your favorite browser back in the day), they have released apps and features to keep up to the market demand. Initially Opera rolled it's VPN service as a separate app from it's browser but then discontinued it last year.

Opera announced that in the update they released in the stores comes with a built in FREE Premium VPN Service. This not saves a lot of space in your device but they also reassured that they have a high level of encryption and provides very good privacy for the anonymous browsers.

In this era of Information, Privacy is a very key factor. Now you can securely connect to different Virtual locations and browse anonymously. Opera's VPN feature like the ability to connect a particular tab/tabs on the VPN and still browse normally on the others is an amazing feature to me.

VPN or Virtual Private Networks simply act as a bridge to receive and transfer information. This is the brand new 5G mobile connection, it technically has a speed of 1Tbps. Did you get that? 1 (Terabyte Per Second). Run Android 5.0.2 Lollipop On Your PC/Laptop

Google’s latest release of the android smartphones version around the web is none other than lollipop. Lollipop has been released not very many months back and it’s so far the best version of Android that Google has produced.

The short comeback about lollipop is that it has been running on very few devices including the Nexus 6 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 among the few others. Well, the good news is more devices have been added to their database to support the lollipop and the number is growing fast.

For those whose devices haven’t been added to the official database, there are lots of custom-roms around the web that you could install to have the lollipop on your device.

And this brings us to Bluestacks, the commonly used Android Emulator on PCs around the globe. Bluestacks is very good emulator but they also don’t have the lollipop android version running on them. · Download and Install UnetBootin for Windows. When done, it should look something like this

· Assuming you have both the above files, now open UnetBootin and tick “Diskimage”

· Next to it, you can see ISO. Go to the extreme right hand side and click on “…” this will pop up a window asking you to choose the disk image.

· Scroll to where you have put the ISO image of the Official Lollipop and select it. Now hit Ok and watch what happens next.

Viola! You now have the official lollipop running on your PC.

Android smartphones are the leading (literally) phones that vigorously sell all around the globe, they basically have the most apps and do great lot of cool stuff that I guess you all know if you’re or have ever used one.

But just as said (don’t know who) that every great thing in this world also has its downside, so does Android and for Android dear reader, is the battery consumption problem. I recently have been seeing a lot of people on the web from social networks to forums all complaining about their smartphone batteries not lasting for long and how they always hope there is a way to minimize the battery consumption rate.

Some of you even go ahead and download various apps that help (not that much but a little) in solving your issue of the battery not lasting. So I decide to do a little digging around the web and see how I can be of help to some of you.

Recently The AVG Antivirus Team with the help of their cleaner app which is currently the most used cleaner app in the android world did a little more research concerning the battery consumption rate of various apps that get your battery running like a gazelle that is about to be drugged by a lion for its lunch in the Serengeti game park.

And in the below image are the various auto start apps and user-run apps the drain your battery without a second thought.

My Piece of advice concerning the above apps if you have any and really like it is;

· Never I mean Never ever leave any of the apps running in case you are not using them and also do not multi-task (run two or more) any of the above apps.

· Do not I repeat, do not use your smartphone when it is charging (I Know this is extremely hard for most users). This is the greatest battery killing technique that 98% of android users do face and thereby killing their battery and blaming it on the phone.

· And Finally If you have any of the above apps, I recommend you go to the applications list and open each of them as if you are going to uninstall them and see whether you often use it, and if not, then uninstall it.

YouTube To Launch a Kid-Friendly Version Of It's App This Monday

"Year over year, we've seen 50 percent growth in viewing time on YouTube, but for our family entertainment channels, it's more like 200 percent. Parents were constantly asking us, can you make YouTube a better place for our kids," said Shimrit Ben-Yair, The Product Manager of the group behind the project.

And Therefore YouTube is now making a kid-friendly version of their video streaming app which is going to run on smartphones and tablets, letting kids to be able to watch their favorite Tv Shows.

The app will be called "YouTube Kids" and will launch on Feb. 23 (Tomorrow). This App will also have four main categories which include: Shows, Music, Learning and Explore.

That's not all, the app will also have a feature for the parents to take control. For example, a parent will be able to limit the kids time on YouTube by setting a timer. When the time runs out, the app will automatically shut off video streaming and will not open up without a password [Set by the parent].

And when kids try to search for videos which isn't fit in the age bracket set, it will also be able to tell the kids "try something else'.

Whatsapp Web: Finally Whatsapp For Pc Is Here:

Set-Up Your-Freedom For Unlimited Free Internet Access (Orange And Airtel)

I Have recently been getting a lot of questions about how to set-up "Your-Freedom" and decided to post it here for y'all to read and get that Free internet running. Unfortunately, this only works for PC and Android Platforms. Let's get started

First things first, you should get an account from "Your-Freedom" and of course don't forget to activate it or this will definitely not work.

And now the set-up starts, head over to the download section and download the software that they have provided for your platform. (I prefer PC users to download the 15MB version).

Now you should be able to use your head to install the software/App.

When installation is done, go to the configure section of your Software/App. Now you should be able to see the account details part, go there and input the username and password you have created earlier and save.

Now head to Server connection and where you are being asked to input address and port, use the Wizard instead to search for free servers.

At this stage, you should be able to see variety of servers found by the wizard, choose any of them and save your settings.

Finally hit the start connection and wait until the door of Your-Freedom is open with no red exclamation mark on it.

Now you are connected. Start enjoying the free internet but don't forget the free account is only able to run at 64kbps.

BlackBerry Brings Its Messaging App to Google's Android Wear

Over the recent years, The BlackBerry messaging App "BBM" has proven to be a success to the RIM Company. It has been running on different platforms ranging from Android to iPhone and millions of users have greatly appreciated this app that they have longed for.

Well this time around, RIM has decided to take matters deeper into their hands and reach to the Android Smart Watches. The company is on track to earn $100 million from the service, BlackBerry CEO John Chen said at a press event on 7th Jan at CES in Las Vegas.

In 2014, there were 140 million newly registered BBM customers on iPhone and Android. At the press event, BlackBerry announced that it’s bringing BBM to the wearable world. BBM will be available on a bunch of Android Wear smartwatches, such as the Samsung Gear S smartwatch.

Whatsapp Free Voice Calling Feature To Be Introduced

Finally the long awaited Whatsapp feature is here. Very many people around the world have probably been wondering when whatsapp will be able to have the feature of calling yet applications related (Viber, Tango, Skype and many others) have been booming with this spectacular feature.

As per a report by AndroidWorld.nl, the screens seen in the latest WhatsApp build for Android from the company's site indicate the voice calling function is quite separate from the chatting function, with different screens meant for dialing, call logs, and contacts.

Koum (CEO of the Facebook-owned WhatsApp) added that the WhatsApp development team is looking for ways to implement the voice calling service in poor data coverage areas, considering that many WhatsApp users in emerging markets are still on 2G networks.

So you really don't have to worry about the network and difficulty to make or receive calls in the area with a very limited network coverage.

Rooting Your Android Device: How To

I want you to remember that this is android, and anything is possible here so let's get started.

This is the real thing, sometimes an app requires what's called Device administrator privileges (on some devices, this will be called Phone administrators). If that's the case, you can't uninstall the app until you've removed those privileges. If you're unsure of what this is -- the Device (or Phone) administrator system gives the installed app a bit more privilege than a normal app would have. Because of this added privilege, you must go through an extra step in order to remove the app.
That step is quite simple if you know what you're looking for.

Here is what you have to do to remove the privileges.

Step1: Open Phone menu and go to Settings and then Security, there you should find either Device administrators or Phone administrators. Now you should be seeing a list of apps that have been given administrator privileges.

Step 2: Now to remove an app's privilege, tap to uncheck the app that you want to uninstall. You'll then be asked to Deactivate the privileges

From here onwards, I expect you to know how to go to application lists and hitting uninstall to remove the app completely from your device. I also advice you to clear app data before uninstalling that app so as to leave you with enough space on your device other than leaving them there to reduce storage capacity. Enjoy

1. Huawei Honor 3X

Perhaps the most well-known international Chinese brand Huawei have already wowed, well, some of us, with its Ascend P6 and Ascend P7. However, they are also producers of a wonderful octa-core beauty with its Honor 3X.

Featuring a 5.5-inch screen with a 720p resolution, supported by a Mediatek MT6592 1.7 GHz processor and 2 GB of RAM, it undoubtedly provides good performance. A 3,000 mAh battery keeps the phone ticking over, while there is support for further memory expansion with microSD card slot and also dual-sim support. With 149.5 x 77.4 x 8.9 mm measurements it’s not the smallest device, but you should have some extra room in your pocket thanks to its 280 USD off-contract price. It's pretty great for the specs, its just a shame that they are hard to come by with Huawei, unfairly, yet to become a completely trusted brand out here in the west.

2. Wiko Highway

The Wiko Highway from, you know, Wiko, has a 16 MP rear camera, 8 MP selfie maker and Full-HD recording capabilities delivering a high-end experience. It also features a 5-inch full-HD screen, 2 GB RAM and a mediatek processor to keep it all running smoothly. Where the Wiko Highway falters is with its 16 GB of internal memory, which isn't expandable and already loses 6 GB thanks to pre-installed software.

If you're not fazed by a lack of storage space, or don't load your smartphone with apps, pictures and videos, then the other specs are sure to please you, but like many of these maufactures, Wiko hasn't become a household name just yet.

Lets hope Wiko continues to impress with its devices and grow to take some sales away from Apple and Samsung.

3. Xiaomi Redmi Note

Xiaomi is becoming one of the most influential smartphone producers in the world thanks to its clever marketing and powerful, low-priced products, but sadly they haven't seen an official release in the US or UK (though reports say they will those markets in 2015). As it currently stands however, Xiaomi's Redmi Note, with 5.5 inch screen and Mediatek MT6592 8-core 1.4 GHz processor, is one of the best octa-smartphones around.

Despite 1280x720 pixel display and a disappointing 8 GB of internal memory, the unit is a steal 1000 Chinese Yuan, the equivalent of around 160 dollars. With 2 GB RAM, dual sim support, micro SD slot and 13 MP rear camera, the Redmi Note presents astonishingly good value by any standard. Here's hoping other Xiaomi devices hit the US and UK sooner rather than later.

Xiaomi are now one of the biggest smartphone manufacturers in the world, and keep expanding to more and more territories.

4. Elephone P8

Though the brand is still finding its feet, the Elephone P8 isn't falling behind any other manufacturers on our list, with a MT6592 1.7 Ghz processor and 5.7-inch full-HD screen. The rear camera is an expected 13-megapixels and the P8 also comes with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM and an admittedly could-be-better 2,800 mAh battery. But the inclusion of dual sim-support and a slim 7.9 mm thick design help make it an attractive offering at around 225 USD, though it does look an awful lot like a certain korean manufacturer's products. I suppose there are only so many designs you can have for little black rectangles...

5. BQ Aquaris E5 FHD

The only non-chinese manufacturer on the list, spanish developer BQ, has produced a fine 8 core smartphone in the form of their Auqaris E5. Using a Mediatek processor like the others, but with a higher frequency at 2GHz, coupled with a 700MHz GPU, the Aquaris is probably the best machine on the list in terms of raw performance. To add to this it has a 5-inch screen Full HD display with 440 pixels per inch, 16 GB of internal memory and 2 GB of RAM, making it score well in all of the right places. DualSim support, microSD card slot up to 32 GB, and KitKat 4.4 out of the box ensure the Aquaris is solid device, but at roughly 330 USD it comes as one of the more expensive on our list.
Spanish developer BQ are delivering on quality hardware with its Aquaris range of smartphones.

Android Wear does a lot of things well right now, but launching apps by touch is not one of them. If you don't want to shout at your wrist, you have to scroll way to the bottom of the options list to see your installed mini-apps like Keep, Evernote, and IFTTT. Wear Mini Launcher makes it much, much easier by showing all your apps with a quick edge gesture.

This is a first of its kind app, so there are a few weird things to consider going in. First, the gesture area is just the top left corner of the screen. So you swipe in from the edge and the scrollable app list should pop out. You have to be careful not to drag down at all, as that pulls the mute panel down. Starting your gesture too low can also grab your top card and swipe it away – it's best to go slow.

Launching apps from Mini Launcher seems to work just like it does in the native app list, but it's much more convenient. We're seeing a number of reliability issues with this app on the Gear Live, so maybe wait if that's your watch of choice. It seems much better and more consistent on the G Watch, though. The dev is looking into the bugs, but this is great for a first effort. Hopefully more developers will get to work on similar ideas.
