Moms, Dads and those of us tasked with the creation of dinner each night know that it is never easy finding a meal that is not only delicious but also nutritious. However, we recently released a new product in our Gold Line of Steam-in-Bag Premium vegetables, Tex-Mex Mix; and we must say it is both of those things! We may seem a bit biased, so don’t just take our word for it, read what Phil Lempert, the Supermarket Guru of www.supermarketguru.com had to say.

“I know what you are thinking. Another frozen microwave-able steam-able bag of veggies. But you are so wrong. These really are a step above – it’s their “gold line” and tastes so fresh you’ll be amazed. Corn, Kidney Beans, Green Peppers, Onions, Red Peppers. – that’s it. No salt or sugars. One note there is a lot more corn than shown on the package, and I’d like to see a few more peppers and onions. But I really am being picky. One-half cup is 80 calories, 0 fat, 0 sugars, 0 sodium and 4 grams of protein.”

Beyond his great review, Mr. Lempert also gave our Tex-Mex mix a score of 93 out of 100.  We would say that is a win! Use our Tex-Mex Mix in pasta salads, soups or even alone as a compliment to chicken or sausage. Any way you serve it, this is a dish that is sure to please the whole family!
