It's rainy here in VanCity today, which is slightly typical but still depressing. I had a wonderful afternoon with my sister at Urban Fair (aka. Urbs). We got to have some snacks, drink good coffee and gossip! I love having Monday and Tuesday off from school. It gives me time to obviously do homework but also go for coffee with friends and just "research". I find since writing this blog I have been more aware of what people wear. Not at all saying bad or good things, I know people have their own style and I fully appreciate that but I find the first thing I look at (normally) on a person is their shoes ... guy or girl. Today, there was a guy, wearing Citizen of Humanity jeans, beige knit sweater, beige baseball hat, and fur lined BEIGE Crocs. That's not personal style... that's style suicide.

A conversation with a good friend of mine started the other day regarding "style". I thought it was an interesting topic so I wanted to get your opinion. She believes that you need to be wealthy to have killer style. I don't think that at all! Her argument was people with money have style because they can afford to go to Holt Renfrew and buy new designer clothes and have personal shoppers who pretty much tell them what to pair things with or they have the money to follow celebrity style. I disagree with her (she knows I do! ;)) I don't think you need to be making killer money to have an amazing wardrobe. I do think you need to keep up with flipping through magazines and seeing what clothes are in for the season but I think you can create a wonderful wardrobe without wearing designer duds. I think you need quality pieces that look expensive like a good trench coat, nice dark well-fitted jeans, genuine leather pumps and boots, fitted blazer and nice sweaters. Staple classic items that you can keep for a long time. All you need to do is go to Club Monaco, spend $80 on a sweater once and that sweater will look great for months and years to come.

Also, I think accessorizing can change your outfit and make it very stylish. If you want to be more sophisticated on a shoestring budget then go to Winners, buy some nice leather gloves and stock up on plain pashmina's and your set or if you want to wear costume jewelry got to Aldo accessories, Coach, H&M, Blue Ruby or Fine Finds (my favourite store!). Young people seem to fill their wardrobes up with costume pieces instead of solid classic pieces that look expensive. The classic pieces are always in style. I think a girl can look like a million bucks if she wore nice well fitted jeans (I put lots of emphasis on well-fitted cause seriously ladies.. you must buy jeans for the fit not the price! If they're on sale and fit horribly put them down and walk away), white fitted t-shirt, longer nice cardigan sweater, black boots and a coloured scarf. It doesn't take a lot of money it just takes some wise decision making!

Yesterday was such a fun day! I went for a bite to eat and then went shopping! Life doesn't get any better.

I have been in search for the perfect flat boots. It's actually not as easy as one would think. I'm quite picky with my boots and they have to fit a certain way or else I drop them like a hot potato. I saw so many cute ones but the fit was ALL wrong. It's frustrating! I walked into Holts (a must stop shoe shop for any shoe addict) and they had their HUGE shoe sale. I tried on a pair of Jerome C. Rousseau pumps which I am still dreaming about. They were pure perfection. Still... no boots! (on sale) that I fell in love with. I did fall in love with the Fendi Seleria boots but not the all black ones that I had in the previous post, these ones were the black leather with gold hardware. I saw them on a sales associate and it was love at first sight. ;)

Today will be day 2 of my boot hunt. Wish me luck :)

Aren't her shoes cute?! I saw this on my gossip sites and couldn't resist showing you all. Fergie and hubby Josh Duhamel were present yesterday at the Miami Dolphins vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers game (Steelers won!). She rocked Larry Csonka's #39 jersey while sporting a pair of her very own shoes. I have no idea how well Fergie's shoe line is doing... I know they sell her shoes here in Vancouver Le Chateau, but I have never seen/heard of anyone buying them.

A side note: Fergie is a limited partner of the Miami Dolphins along with Marc Anthony.

Last night I went to George with a couple of my girlfriends. We had a few martini's (highly recommend the English Martini) and ate some good food. My weakness in life is Kobe beef - I love it! So when I saw a Kobe beef burger on the menu ... I was sold. It definitely was amazing but not as amazing as the Kobe meatballs at Glowbal.

I did a little bit of people watching (as per usual) and was trying to figure out what styles people wont let go of. My consensus... slouchy boots. Yup - slouchy boots! I thought OTK's and sleek leather below the knee boots would have taken over, but no, no they have not. I believe besides myself there was one other person in the place wearing non-slouchy boots.

I was slightly shocked. I mean Yaletown is probably one of Vancouver's most trendy areas and to see our waitress wearing black slouchy boots with a sleek black dress, was kind of weird. Then another lady was wearing a flouncy floral A-line skirt and a form fitting top with brown slouchy boots. hmmm... to each style is own. :)

There was a lot more men then women at the lounge and all the men were dressed very nicely. I am very picky with my men's dress shoes. I hate the men's shoes that look like elf shoes, you know the ones that go into a serious point and go up at the toe? They drive me crazy! but I do love a dapper looking guy in nice dress shoes. There was an older fellow last night that I kept staring at (not creepishly of course...). His outfit was perfect. He was wearing a black fitted blazer, a heather grey v-neck T, dark Joe's jeans, and very nice leather Salvatore Ferragamo shoes.

I don't think there is anything better then a man who knows how to dress. He doesn't have to be super fashionable but knows how to put together a simple outfit like jeans, a t-shirt, nice jacket and good sneakers. That's all it takes.

I should have taken a picture of the man to show you but for one I didn't want to be a weirdo and two I didn't want to interrupt his important conversation, but he was very James Bond looking even in his facial features. He reminded me of Daniel Craig. :)

Doc Marten's Taking Over?

I am scared! Please tell me this is not the return of the dreadful Doc Marten's? I can't handle this....

Dr.Martens (Docs, DM's, or commonly referred to as Doc Marten's) boots are very popular in the punk and grungers scene. We did see Marc Jacobs [pictured left] in DM's with a skirt and Marc is the King of grunge.

Are these boots making a comeback? The most famous boots are the 1460's which have been in production for many many years. They are the 8 eyelet, cherry red leather boots which remind me of Ronald McDonald. Through the 1960's - 1990's DM's were immensely popular. As we know, most massive fashion trends come full circle hence my horror.

I guess I am more of a dainty shoe lover. I like footwear to flatter not footwear that makes your feet look heavy and bulky. I give you full permission (like always!) to disagree with my comments on not finding this "look" attractive because I know there is a mass of people out there who swear by them. I am just not one of them.

Happy New Year Everyone! 2010 is going to be a BIG year. A few days ago I read my 2010 horoscope by Georgia Nicols and well this year is going to be full of amazing opportunities. I hope you all had a wonderful NYE!

I honestly can't believe that 2010 is here already! I remember when Vancouver was waiting to get the results for hosting the Olympics and now we are a month and a half away. That's huge! I'm really excited for the Olympics to come to town. It's been a few years of anticipation. Everywhere you turn there are Vancouver 2010 advertisements, new buildings, a giant countdown clock, stores, mascots, commercials, videos, etc. It will be an insane month. I might not love it so much when our city is packed with people and I wont be able to drive anywhere, but I will just remember this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to have the Olympics in my hometown. :)

This is the second part of my Designer Look-A-Like post. I was once told that you shouldn't buy sale items because they're no longer in style. Sometimes that rings true! For example, hot pink OTK boots are not a wise purchase, but black leather below the knee boots are! Make wise choices when it comes to sale items! Don't just think cheap price cause if you think like that you will never wear them.

I don't know about you, but I love sequins. I love anything that sparkles :) especially diamonds but since we don't want to walk around with a shoe made of diamonds, sequins will have to do!

I love Valentino's use of bows. I am such a bow person on shoes, aren't you?! I think they add a simple feminine cuteness to a shoe. Kate Spade makes amazing flats and purses but I have yet to try one of her pumps.

I think $300 for a pair of heels is fairly reasonable. I may be alone in thinking this... but I want them! Obviously there are differences between these Valentino's and the Kate Spade heels but I just love the bows!!

Designer Look-A-Likes

Most people these days are watching their piggy bank, but fashion is always changing and it's not cheap to keep up with. It can be a tricky battle when buying "fashionable" clothes and accessories. You have to know when to buy for quality over price. If that makes sense?!

There are certain basics/classics that should always be quality such as a trench coat, black pumps, nude pumps, black and/or brown boots, well fitted jeans, tailored trousers, a fitted blazer, white blouse and a plain genuine soft leather purse. Those types of classic items should always be on the higher end because the silhouette barely changes from season to season. They can stay in your wardrobe for years if you buy good quality.

Costume pieces, I use the word "costume" lightly because when I think costume I think Halloween, but actually costume can mean those Forever21 $20 purchases because they are low-grade quality and wont be in style for years to come. They are fad's which in turn means costume.

To help you avoid spending oodles of money on costume pieces I have found some alternative options to designer shoes. I hate supporting the knock-off stores but desperate times call for desperate measures.

A good low wedge is hard to come by these days. All wedges seem to be in the excess of 5 inches. Also, I love the bling so these Giuseppe's are at the top of my must-own list. Obviously, comfort will not be in the same calibre but Spring shoes has made a knock-off version of the Giuseppe wedges. The wedges have a huge price difference, similar style, but same patent black wedge height.

Grand Opening

I'm back! I had a mild Christmas no blogging break and now I have come back to the blogesphere very refreshed. I had a wonderful Christmas with the fam and enjoyed some ultra lazy time. A boxing day tradition with my family is to avoid all malls, and go for dinner and a movie. This year we saw Sherlock Holmes which I really enjoyed! Robert Downey Jr. was fantastic and even Jude Law was pretty good. The movie night started a little weird. We had a 40 something man with his wife sitting right in front of us throwing popcorn at people below. It was extremely weird to watch a grown man act like he was 12. Then we had a group of young guys cracking their Budwiser behind us. Minus the odd surroundings the movie itself was very entertaining - Highly recommend it!

On my off day channel surfing I watched Much Music's Hotties 09 (yes I watched it... slightly ashamed). Of course, Taylor Launter and Megan Fox took number 1 but Chace Crawford was close! :) Leighton Meester and Blake Lively were definitely on the list. Leighton Meester has been a busy girl. She is definitely making the transition from Blair Waldorf to Leighton Meester the singer seamlessly.

Last night, Leighton was at the opening of Klutch Nightclub in Miami Beach along with Twilight hottie, Kellan Lutz.

As per usual, Leighton looked dapper in a black cut out dress and exquisite YSL black suede platform pumps.

She started her night in YSL and ended the night in Lanvin cap toe sneakers ($765 - Barney's).

If you are in Miami Beach for NYE, you should consider partying it up with Leighton Meester, Kellan Lutz, Boys Like Girls, Kid Sister, Steel Panther and of course Just Jared ;) at Klutch Nightclub.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas...

It's almost Christmas! I'm so excited! Aren't you?!

Christmas is my favourite time of year. I love seeing Vancouver at night when its all lit up and Christmas music is playing in all the stores. No matter how stressful Christmas is, when you hear your favourite Christmas song you can't help but smile.

The only downside of winter here in Vancouver is the lack of fashionable winter boots. I can walk in to tons of stores and find all different style boots but none of them are actually durable. I know that's odd to say, but I had a "near death" (slight exaggeration) experience on Friday when I ran into my school and my Italian leather boots with the smooth leather sole slipped on the hardwood and I almost bailed. I grabbed onto the desk and luckily saved myself from a tragic fall (haha.. such a drama queen). This little mishap got me thinking... there isn't many fashionable boots that give you peace of mind when walking on ice and snow.

Most people wear Uggs all winter long because their functional, but fashionable? that depends. Personally, I feel uncomfortable wearing my Ugg boots out of the house unless its for a Starbucks run, but that's because I feel like MegaMan when I wear them. I know tons of people who consider Uggs a staple in their wardrobe and that is completely fine! I think they look better on others then they do on me. So if you're like me and want to find functional fashionable boots then read on.....

Flat boots would be a smart option, but again make sure to take a close look at the sole. If the sole of the boot is soft leather they have a tendency to be extremely slippery.

After lots of research and wondering threw Browns and Holts I came to some conclusions. Here are a few examples of boots that I found to be winter savvy.

Ok, don't laugh... I saw some girl yesterday wearing these Tod's boots with Jbrand's and she looked super cute. She had the whole lumberjack theme going. When I saw them up close they actually have some very good winter weather qualities.

I am obsessed with these Fendi boots. Not sure how I would feel about wearing them in the snow because their $1,150 BUT their genuine leather, well made, and have a low heel.

Now these are for the more sophisticated woman. A little Christian Dior Initiles boots are perfect for a fashionable winter. I personally wouldn't wear them at my age, but I am sure if I was a wee bit older and more sophisticated I would definitely rock them!

DKNY came up with a fashionable version of a rubber boot. They made these water-resistant boots with a heel! (bonus!) They have a sturdy rubber sole and work well in snow and rain. Their also really cheap! $135 for a pair of boots. That's almost unheard of...

A little wellies still go along way. Tamara Mellon was brilliant to team up with world renown Hunter rain boots. They were the must-have of last season. The crocodile embossed wellies with the signature Hunter insignia on the front are easy to spot.

Are You Prepared for NYE?!

After a morning from hell, I finally can post! On my Christmas list this year is a new laptop. My Mac is on the fritz.

I know eastern Canada has been hit with tons of snow but on the west we've had it pretty tame. Today is started to actually snow and by actually I mean less then a cm (sad I know..) but we will take all we can get of the pretty white stuff :)

While listening to a little Michael Buble Christmas music this morning, I hunkered down to write a post that many of you can relate to. NYE is ringing closer! (2010!! wooo) and we all know that you need the perfect COMPLETE outfit for New Years Eve. Everyone wants to look their best and its the time of year when glitter, sequins, over-the-top make up, big hair and lots of booze is fully acceptable. Some people like to find the dress first then the shoes. I seem to work the other way around. I like to find the perfect shoes and match the dress accordingly, but we all know I am a little weird so I don't blame you for doing it the "right" way.

My advice would be choose what type of garment you want to wear. If your dress is going to be a simple colour then that leaves you with free reign to accessorize and wear KILLER heels, but if you want to wear a full on gold sequin dress, that kind of restricts your accessory placement. If you don't want to spend a lot of money I would recommend getting a bold frock that way you wont need to layer necklaces or bracelets cause your dress is already the center of attention. This may be common sense for some of you but for those girls that I see at clubs wearing hot pink sequin dresses with silver heels and layers of fake diamonds and metallic make up.. this is for you! Note: you shouldn't blind people when they look at you.. no one needs THAT much sparkle.

Let's talk shoes... I have a few pumps that I think are great for NYE!

Of course you can't go wrong with Christian Louboutin heels but since not everyone can spend $700+ on NYE shoes I have added the cheaper versions. I usually avoid Aldo shoes. I HATE that they rip off the designers and they are extremely uncomfortable and WAY over priced, but for one night of partying they do in a pinch. Especially for those who are on a shoestring budget.

Now, I will still marry you, but you must take off those extremely ugly "shoes". No one wants to see that you have all 5 toes, we believe that you do without showing us.

These are just as bad as Crocs. They keep haunting me everywhere I go. Why must you wear them? What attracts these shoes to people? I really want to know. Cause I look at them and cringe. If someone says it's cause they are "comfy" I will die cause its like sweatpants. Sweatpants are comfy but so are denim! what looks better? walking down the street in baggy sweats? or wearing soft denim? I think the denim! That analogy works for these "shoes".

Purse Envy

Have you ever seen a purse that you just can't shake from your memory? That one bag that haunts you all day long because its just so beautiful? I hope I am not alone in this.... Over the years there have been many amazing purses but the purse envy usually passes quickly (at least for me), but this one purse has been on my mind since it came out.

After investigating into designer companies and taking a good look at how some companies (*cough* Coach *cough*) mass produce their bags, I have grown a new appreciation for handmade Italian handbags just like I have for my shoes. Coach, which is called "Couch" by one of my wise teachers, is no longer on my list of must-owns. I think that's because it is so accessible. Girls in their extremely tight Juicy Couture velour suits and Ugg boots walk with their Coach purses (some real, some fake) and think their hot stuff... *newsflash.... you're not envied!*

Givenchy knows how to make purses that turn heads. They are simplistic and just pure sophistication. Hilary Duff has been carrying my dream bag for months. I die every time I see it! I swear that girl has my dream life. She drives my dream car (Mercedes G-Class), Starred in my favourite show (Gossip Girl), and rocks my favourite bag! She's a lucky, lucky lady.

Kate Bosworth attended Sonia Rykiel for H&M collection launch in Paris. Just like for the Jimmy Choo launch, I had planned to line up at 5 a.m. but plans changed last minute, so this time I will be lined up. Who can pass up affordable Sonia Rykiel? It's like an oxymoron.

I am just SLIGHTLY jealous of Kate Bosworth for dating Alexander Skarsgard. I don't like True Blood, but I sure do like him. I swear all Swedish people are good looking, and Sweden is rumored to be the one country with the most single people. Well, if that's true ... I'm shipping out! :)

The 26 year old wore a light tangerine dress with gorgeous bronze glitter embellishments. I love the dress and the shoes! She wore Miu Miu ankle strap satin black pumps.

It's a love/hate relationship with Olivia Palermo. One minute I think she is portrayed as nice and friendly then she turns into this uptight wannabe socialite.

Is Olivia really a socialite at 23 years old? She is a fellow Pisces so its shocking to have her be out in the lime light, usually we like to be the unsung hero so to speak. It has been reported that Olivia wrote letters/emails to socialites pleading to be accepted by the coveted group. Later on, she denied the emails and filed a lawsuit. I think she just got embarrassed that people found out, so she pretended to fight back as if she didn't do it ... just my thought.

The Birkin bag owner, has killer style. Take away her crazy personalty and rumours and just look at her outfit choices they are fabulous! I want to raid her closet. She always looks elegant and sophisticated just my kind of style.

I am not sure if any of you watch The City but if you know the feud between Erin and Olivia then maybe you will agree with me. I always seem to choose Erin's side. I think Olivia just expects everything to be handed to her, but with that being said I think she has some great styling ideas for Elle Magazine... let's see if she lasts there.

Katherine Heigl celebrated her 31st birthday yesterday with her husband, Josh Kelley. The couple recently adopted a super cute baby seen in the picture above. Now, i have included the picture above to discuss how hideous her outfit choice is. If you want to make yourself look 50 then just mimic Katherine's red outfit. Common! Last night we saw her true colors come out in an all black outfit with bold Christian Louboutin shoebooties. Shoebooties are an amazing invention. They cut just below the ankle bone to elongate the leg.

Side Note: Oprah is a serious Christian Louboutin shoebooty lover.

WHOOPS! someone had a little dress malfunction! Kate Hudson gave the viewers a little sneak peak when her gorgeous metallic Versace dress slipped a little as she leaned over to talk. Now that is embarrassing. Note to self, always wear a bra, and don't wear uber drapy dresses when on stage in front of millions of people because one peek at your assets and you have the world in an upheaval.

What is every one's fascination with A-Rod? He is not that good looking. I don't get it. Some people tell me he isn't that great of a baseball player either, so I am obviously missing the attraction, but Kate seems happy with him so that is all that matters...I guess.

World's Largest Shoe Store

Could life be any better for a woman living in Paris? All that French cuisine, breathtaking art, the Eiffel tower, amazing shopping and now housing the world's largest shoe store. Here I thought a shoe store with its own area code was a huge deal, but now that has been trumped. Galeries Lafayette is a well-known French department store. The store itself is a little hard to miss when in Paris due to the fact that it is 10 stories high. Galeries Lafayette decided in July 2009 to expand into the woman's shoe market, so they created a 34,500 square foot shoe store. It carries 150 brands, 75 of those brands are exclusive to Galeries Lafayette. They carry all shoe styles all year round, so just in case you're heading to northern Sweden in the middle of summer and require boots, go to Galeries Lafayette and you can by boots at the start of summer!

Added to their shoe store they offer an artisan cobbler, a foot salon specializing in pedi's and a specialty care store that sells special brushes, shoe creams in a variety of colours and foot care products. HEAVEN! Now I want to go to Paris even more.

I take time out of my everyday routine to read other blogs and find out what is going on in the world. Not all blogs I read are about fashion, some about healthy eating, exercise, music and of course celebrity gossip, but a few blogs that I know are well known within the fashion world are so well written and full of interesting and inspirational photos that I will always continue to go back. My main one is Garance Dore. I love her style of writing and her content is amazing.

Which brings me to my post today, I was reading her blog last night and was introduced to Tabitha Simmons, the fashion director of Vogue (US). After reading Garance's blog post I decided to do some more research into Tabitha and her successes. Mainly my interest in Tabitha struck when I found out about her new hobby and passion - SHOES! Yes, Tabitha has now began her very own shoe line. The shoes are very elegant and bringing the past to present. Fashion never dies, as you have probably seen yourself that it will continue developing and reappearing, so ladies and gentlemen, keep your favorite clothing items for as long as you can, cause 10-40 years down the road they will be back in style and what is better then passing down your favorite clothes to your children or grandchildren, or even better keeping it for yourself! I can speak from experience in receiving my moms jewelry that she wore when she was my age and now I am the proud wearer of one of my dad's necklaces that my mom had purchased for him many many moons ago. I think its one of the best gifts a parent can give. So keep your special items!

Tabitha, an England native, is known world wide as being one of the best stylists out there. Along with being the fashion director of Vogue (US), she also contributes to other magazines such as Dazed and Confused and AnOther Magazine. I am completely jealous that she has styled catwalk shows for Alexander McQueen - that's a dream come true!

"I'm Throwing On My Louboutins"

It's one thing to love your Christian Louboutin's but its another to sing a song about them. Jennifer Lopez obviously needed to share to the world that Louboutins is her shoe of choice (not like she really needed to tell us since its kind of obvious), but her new song off her upcoming album is called, well you probably guessed it, "Louboutins".

The 40 year old mother of twins, is back and is still "Jenny from the block". She will be preforming her new single at the AMA's on Sunday. According to Just Jared she will be wearing a pair of Christian Louboutin's that were designed especially for her. I can't wait to see what they look like. My guess... something with silver glitter. That is kind of vague, but I think they will look like a disco ball. They have to be something very diva to fit JLO's personality.

As far as the song itself, I am not loving it. It bored me the first time I listened to it, but who am I to judge? I can't sing at all!

Premiere of Pippa Lee

Blake Lively was premiere ready in her gorgeous cream Marchesa jacket and black dress shorts. She definitely knows how to show off her assets (haha!) Now, I don't think the shoes were a total bust, but I personally wouldn't have paired them with this outfit. I know the feature piece is the jacket with all its embellishments but the shoes look cheap (and we all know they are not!). If you like the contrast color pumps, then I recommend these Sergio Rossi cream and brown one shown below. They look more high class!

Blake also graced the cover of the December issue of Marie Claire Magazine. Inside she had a one on one interview about her life growing up and how it reflects in her acting, also about her upcoming new movie "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee". For some reason this quote really shocked me: "I usually don't use a stylist when I get dressed". A 22 year old actress who is just coming into the big times does not use a stylist?! that's a shocker. I was stunned but also very pleased.

Eva Longoria covers Prestige magazine. In most of the pictures they don't even look like her. In the picture above I had to do a double take, she looks like Kate Beckinsale.

This sweetheart strapless dress with white feathers is like my dream dress. No clue where I would be able to wear it because I would be too scared that someone would spill something on the white feathers but I would definitely just purchase and wear it around my house.

Nude pumps are a must-own. They are just like owning a great pair of black closed toed pumps. If you are short or don't have as long of legs as you wished, then try using the nude pump trick. They make your legs go on for days. As you can see in these photos of Eva Longoria who rocked a pair of YSL platform sandals. Also, another bonus nude coloured pumps go with tons of outfits!

My favorite nude pumps are made from the master himself, Christian Louboutin. These Louboutins are the best bang for your buck!

Alexander McQueen was Lady Gaga's main man for her new Bad Romance music video. The video is chaotic but its one of those videos that you can't help but love because the song itself is so catchy and the video is so well done that you just sit in awe.

This video is every shoe lovers dream as one of my friends so nicely pointed out (shout out HB! ;). The sky high huge platform heels are probably my favourite out of all of them. She wore them in black and again in white throughout the video.

Obviously, these shoes are meant to stay on the runway unless you are Beyonce and can pull something like these off without shuffling your feet. They are just so sky scraper that I doubt anyone could stably walk in them on any uneven surface. I know I would be on my face. I also know that I would be 6 foot 5 so I am going to pass on purchasing these heels.

Alexander McQueen always knows how to keep his audience entertained which is probably why he is my favorite designer. He is a risk taker and such an incredibly creative person. In reality, these shoes are not practical or even that attractive, but on the runway they are an art form that I think most people can appreciate.

Sergio Rossi Spring/ Summer 2010 video preview was breathtaking. I can only assume fish was the inspiration behind this collection. Its a lot of scale detail with lots of sparkle. I have already pegged a couple as much owns and must keep forever and ever because one day they will be museum quality (that is how good his SS2010 collection is!). They are definitely an art piece. I can't wait for this collection to hit main stream so we can all get a better look at the shoes themselves.

I am pretty sure I died and went to heaven when they showed the gold scale shoebooties with the silver sequins that wrapped around one side of the shoe. LOVES IT!

Leighton Meester's Givenchy shoes in her new music video "Somebody To Love" featuring Robin Thicke (yes, the son of Alan Thicke from Growing Pains.) are my favorite statement shoes. They are rebellious and give a strong confident vibe. I love shoes that can match your confidence, who said confidence always comes from within? It definitely comes once you put a pair of these Givenchy sandals on. Every woman needs a pair. You will be a serious head turner as you walk down Granville Street in your form fitting dress and these heels. Perfection!
