Opening and closing nursery buildings
Cleaning and Building maintenance
Overseeing work carried out by domestic staff
Monitor and replenish resources
Oversee health and safety across sites
Follow direction from nursery manager to ensure buildings are clean, safe and secure.

This course is

• A 4 week classroom and ward based course which introduces the role of the Trainee/Clinical Support Worker.
• An opportunity to undertake a 3 x shift work trial (flexible to suit you) based in a single area following the normal shift pattern of that area, and shadowing a support worker under the supervision of a qualified nurse.
• A route into a guaranteed interview for a real job.
• Accredited units relevant to Health Care (accredited by Open College Network), covering key NHS terms and policy including infection control, privacy and dignity and quality of care.

This course is not

• A guarantee of a job
• A chance to try all the different areas of the hospital
• A route into all careers in the NHS

• We can only place you where there is an opportunity
• You may need to be flexible with where your placement is
• You can only do placement in one area
• We expect you to work shifts
• You will be asked for to provide information for a DBS (previously CRB) check
• Childcare support may be available

Course Details

The first stage is to attend an Open Day on the 27th May 2014 to find out more about the course, the job role and attend an informal interview.

If you are successful following the Open Day, you will be invited to submit a DBS application and Occupational Health Clearance form. The course will start on Monday, 30th June 2014 and your classroom will be on site at the Trust.
