C+C was this past weekend and it was an epic day. Great people, amazing workshops, inspiring speeches, all at the beautiful Standard in Downtown Los Angeles. Create and Cultivate has grown and thrived and become this amazing experience that is indescribable more than a networking event it really brings people together to connect in a real way. Something that is priceless these day. Up next is Portland. Hope to see some of you guys there!

I stopped by Mohawk general store this weekend with the lovely Katy Miller and picked up some goodies from Ace+Jig, swung by Cliff's edge for brunch, grabbed a coffee at intelligentsia and spent a little too much time at the spice market with a baby bulldog named bushwick. Mohawk's summer selection is super on point, drapey tunics, linen dresses and more.

To say I love the ladies at Blood is the New Black would be an understatement. They support artist, have amazing tees ( seriously they are the best fitting tees) and are nice as hell. Portland! I chopped it up in the city for 5 days to check out TedxPortland hang out with the ladies of Eyes and the Edge and do so much needed shopping at Lizard Lounge, SchoolHouse Electric, Lowell and more. We snuck in some hang time at RonToms, Doug Fir to catch ski lodge & Chad Valley and err stripperoake? It happened.

The lovely team at Baggu sent me some goodies just in time for a road trip to Santa Barbara with my sister! We stayed at the beautiful Bacara (there spa is out of this world), hiked in the ellwood mesa (meadows on meadows), hit cielito (a must for any Mexican food fan), wine tours (Sanford is a must) and more!

The Baggu sailor stripe weekender was the perfect bag for the weekend trip and I absolutely love my wedge key chain (A great gift idea). Check out their site for tons of cute bags that are insanely well made and affordable to boot!

As a female business owner I face challenges + emotions all the time from negotiating to facing adversity to being dismissed by males and females in my industry for my age and gender. It's hard. I've learned so many lessons this year and last. Lessons about trust. Lessons about how to handle crises. Lessons about how to rise from the ashes. Lessons about shrugging things off and putting your business cap on and not your emotional one when necessary. It's not easy but it's rewarding. To feel the sense of working hard, accomplishment and success is unlike any feeling in the world.

My agency, (NO SUBJECT), had the honor of producing an event for Sheryl Sandberg + Levo League ( a must see site + resource for any female entrepreneur. The event was empowering, Sheryl's speech was forceful and everyone left feeling a bit more eager to ask for more in their life and make the tough decisions. I am grateful for where I am at and those that have supported me during tough times and easy times because at the end of the day it's our relationships that can build us up. So ladies let's help each other.

I was lucky enough to attend a pit stop on the Warby Parker Class trip at a blogger dinner at Heirloom LA. The crew at WP are some of the nicest people I've ever met and their glasses aren't bad either. I got to hang out with my friends Jeanine of Range and Amanda of Dry Vintage + Thrift at the Well in DTLA and style some looks from their Spring collection. The Well is a unique lifestyle-retail experience located within a distinctive architectural space in downtown Los Angeles (part salon/part event space/ part retail)! The store is amazing and their collection is really well curated-- a definite must stop for any DTLA shopper.
