Ranbir and Katrina not getting engaged on his Birthday

Over the past weeks, there were some circumstantial reports circulating in the media that Ranbir was going to propose to Katrina on his 28th birthday. Well folks these news has been effectively put to bed by Ranbir Kapoor.

Ranbir who was present at song launch event of his movie “Besharam” said, "There was a report that said that I am getting engaged on my birthday. There is no truth to that. You see, when a boy proposes to a girl, whenever in life, it is a very important moment for a girl. So don't spoil my surprise. But I definitely am not getting engaged now or getting married."

The actor who would be looking to repeat his “Yeh jawaani hai deewani’s” success with “Besharam” claimed that due to some past events, he is now very apprehensive about his personal life getting into public domain. "When I was new in the industry I used to openly speak about my relationships. But then the spotlight shifted from my work to my personal life. So before you get bored of me, I want to protect my life, I don't want my life to be reality show."
