Morning Musume, how low you have sunk. Unlike most people, I do enjoy this song, kinda. Well, everything except the chorus and instrumental. So just the verses. Thank god Risa is getting something more decent than this, although no matter how much I DON’T care about her, no one(well, maybe Dawa) deserves to leave H!P with this shit of an a-side. Anyway, the ShittyShitty Ultra PV sucks all around. I don’t know what is going on with those low budget “transparency” effects going on but the person that edited those needs to be sent to work with some K-Pop group ASAP. I also noticed that Sayu isn’t as awesome as she used to be in the shitty single prior to this one and in fact looks kinda awkward most of the time. - Red chick: Maimi’s awesome, not as hot, lesbian cousin. <3 I really like her and she could be my new favorite if it wasn’t for…

- Queen Kanon: She’s not that awesome anymore tbh. Well she is, but she’s getting too mainstream honestly. I think I stopped liking her as much when she started with that whole “reincarnation of cinderella” shit. Grow up gurl.

- Green thing: I dunno wtf they did with her bangs, but it looks ugly as fuck. To me she’s like the Sayashii Riho of S/mileage. Gurl came in with her lack of talent and is now relevant in the group. Meh, she just needs to calm the fuck down in the PV next time around, but I like her either way.

- Yellow troll: She’s probably a sweetheart, but idgaf, she’s so ugly! D= Someone needs some 1 on 1 “Big Eyes” classes with the Widow Queen of Big Eyes: Ayu-sama.

- The only one in blue that matters: I see what they did her, having her “pretend” to forget the choreography. A reference to that practice video(light pink top) of prz skirt woman where she didn’t know half of the song? Maybe.

Bbz, I know I haven’t posted in like a few months/years/etc, but I just haven’t had the time. University was a bitch and now I’m finally on summer vacation. Now I recently acquired a job as a graphic designer in a video game company(go me, bitches! :D) and that has had my time occupied, not to mention my SNSD tribute dance group. Now I finally got a small break since the group won’t start back up until March and uni is out.

Lol ya’ll just kiddin’, it’s Qween of the internetz Beckii.

I gotta admit, apart from the fat gangster dudes, Beckii’s wigs(and goat face), the cheap poor PV and her vocals, this dance version of some old, unknown single by her, is pretty darn catchy and will fill my electro-pop void no matter how guilty I feel.

I’m not the biggest Beckii fan(although I have no reason to dislike her to be honest), I can appreciate her effort and persistence. Do your thang gurl~

Oh I see what you did with that title Tsunku~ Our first track starts off with piano, can I get a SONGS 2 please? This songs will definitely be the best in the album, I can tell. It’s SONGS-ish minus the fierce but it has piano and synth. <3 Riho’s vocals suck by the way. This song will be a hit in concerts! Serious, emotional, synthy, true 9-nin MM(with Koha+JunLin) style. 4.5 / 5

2. Only you

Main: Ai, Reina, Riho
We all know this ~hit~! I like it coming up second after that first track, it maintains that fierceness. In a way this reminds me of a modern-day Resonant Blue with Riho taking Koha’s place as the ~third wheel~. It was nice to see a new member shining so much in a song, but too bad that Riho is all spunk but no talent. 4.25 / 5

3. Silver no Udedokei (Risa, Reina, Aika, Riho)

Main: Reina, Riho
Remember Ano Hi ni Modoritai from 10 MY ME? You know, that “R&B” song with Ai and stuff? Well, this is the dumbed down version featuring 50% more wonky and 100% less talent. I do admit that Riho s0unds a lot more controlled and overall better here, though I’m still not as impressed as I was in her auditions. Oh and Aika rapping? Meh, kinda approve, at least she’s doing something. Plus, she can rap from her wheel chair. 3.75 / 5

4. Suki da na Kimi ga (Sayu-bitch, Mizuki,  Mizuki’s forehead)

Main: Sayu, Mizuki
I really liked this song when I heard the radio rip, it’s not as good anymore though. The radio quality hid Sayu’s crappy voice, which is all I hear to be honest since I can’t make out Mizuki’s voice. The song is electronic with that fabulous auto-tune that Tsunku loves to own Sayu with. It’s cute-ish and fun yet catchy at the same time. Not bad Sayu~ 4 / 5
 

 5. Kaiketsu Positive A

It’s the song that was going to be a b-side but alas it was too genki to be a b-side so now it’s an album track. It has that damned Tsunku brass and a surprising amount of solo lines for each girl. Electric guitar solo, etc etc. RIHO I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR THAT HORRIBLE SOLO LINE!!! I swear I hear JunJun in this song though.  3.75 / 5

 6. Kono Ai wo Kasanete (Ai, Risa)

Main: Them two old bitches
Gather ’round the camp fire gurls! It’s time for a boring song! I appreciate Ai and Risa getting songs together, but why must anything possibly related to Ai having her own song have to suck? IT’S SO FUCKING BORING. Not even in the relaxing Mano Erina way, it just sucks. Plus, for being the “two best vocalists”, the vocals are not at all impressive.  3 / 5

7. Kono Chikyuu no Heiwa wo Honki de Negatterun da yo!

Main: Ai, Leina
What’s with this album and long titles and the words “Ai” and “Kono”? Anyway, its single time! I do enjoy this sparkling, happy song even though it kind of makes me emo since I recall the video and Ai GTFO’ing. I’d like to keep my Riho at this amount of lines for the future, she sucks.  4.25 / 5

 8. Kare to Issho ni Omise ga Shitai!

Main: Sayu, Reina
My favorite a-side from the era tbh. That Sayu and Reina bit is to die for. Also Aika’s annoying-ass lips in the PV. THAT POUTING. So far the album has had pretty good flow, though I would like some more dance or sexy tracks.  4.5 / 5

9. My Way ~Joshikou Hanamichi~

Main: Everybuddy sing cept Ai sing moar than other gurls
OH HELL NO! IT’S THE RETURN OF THE SAYU SCREAMS!!!!!!!! THERE IS A GOD!!! This song is all types of rock-ish fun with awesome line-distribution and a bunch of randomness. I enjoy it solely because it’s different but Riho is still shouting like a bitch. 4.25 / 5

10. GurugurOtome no Timing (Aika, Erina, Kanon)

Main: KOHARU SAVE US!!!
It’s Guruguru JUMP minus the oriental legends that were JunLin and Koharu’s angelic voice. No really, this combo of natural beauties is just suicide inducing. I hadn’t noticed just how terrible vocalists 9th gen were(oic 9th looks+personality, 10th gen talent~ ;D). Aika jfc, you’ve been in Momusu for like 7 years now and you still can’t hold a note. I think Aika is one of the few people who has actually gotten LESS talented in H!P(Dawa being another example). 3 / 5

11. OK YEAH!

Main: Sayu’s vocoded breakdown
“No, J-Pop isn’t para-para music…” Okay, just don’t be listening to this song when you say that. It’s good that there’s at least one more good song on the album after the hot mess that were the last two tracks. Para-para+ENERGYDESU= this song. The girls will sweat like never before when they perform this. I really like this song and the good line distribution is a plus! 4.5 / 5

12. Maji Desu ka Ska!

Main: Ai, Reina
What’s the worst way to close of the album? With Maji Desu ka Ska! of course! This song would have been so good at the beginning of the album, but I hate it last. Only you would have worked a LOT better. I’ve come to kinda hate this song now since it’s so f’ing annoying. I think I only liked it before because it had the new members actually singing. 3.75 / 5 

 OVERALL

A MILLION times better than Fantasy! Juuichi but not as good as 10 MY ME. It has a lot better flow and a lot of variety but what I think weighed down the album was the vocal quality. I was quite surprised too since Reina might be the one who sounds the best in the album. Riho killed a lot of the enjoyment as well. It’s okay that Tsunku is pushing her forward since she has that center aura, but don’t let her sing this much, especially if it sounds so bad.

I’m overall pleased with the album, butI reckon I’ll only spam about 4 songs more-or-less. IT’S A HIT!

Move over AKB48, the flawless divas of Hello!Project have joined forces as the shining new group Mobekimasu! Everyone prepare for 1 million+ sales, endless tv and magazine appereances, etc.

Lol well, not really, but it’s still a cool concept. Similar to how successful H!P did back in the day with the H.P. Arr Stars, all 8 members of Momusu(‘cept 10th gen because their too fresh for this), 5 Cutie lesbians, 7 old Berryz hags, 1 floppy Mano and 7 useless Smilers have been joined into one “super group”, similar to AKB48 since we know AKB48 singles are ~exclusive~ to the 22-ish most popular members.

Of course Mobekimasu won’t be a hit or anything(I kinda have hopes that they could sell like over 40k though[that sounds so sad]) but for us H!P wotas, it’s truly quite delightful to see all our favorite bitches interacting with each other. I know I squealed more than once when I saw my homegirl Mano-chan singing together with resident horse-face Miyabi-san.

Up-Front finally did something good with this group by making them their own YouTube channel where a few making-of clips have been released, along with the official commercial and that Sayu bitch promoting and what not.

The making-of’s are especially entertaining and probably will be more than the actual PV but seeing them all dance together as one group is dazzling, even though obvious favoritism is expected.

It’s obvious how are going to be the “main” members in the song, although it’s hard to tell if every single girl will get at least one line… or word, or moan, etc. Mains are:

• Reina AKA new Queen of H!P
• Riho and her cockiness
• Yuuka and her nose
• Mano and her natural, golden beauty
• Airi and her fan base
• Risako and her weight
• Miyabi and her facial structure
• Possibly Maimi and Gaki

7 out of 28 isn’t too bad, I suppose. At least 3 of my faves are in there.

One thing that I just have to point out is the lack of Ai-chan, it’s really quite noticeable ot me. It feels like the main act is missing, the star of the show. Reina is flashy and all, but she’s missing that confidence that Ai-chan gave out. Plus, I can’t stand even-numbered Momusu.

Risako seems to be a bit lost in that dance. It’s probably because her mind was on food. I mean, what else can explain that arm-fat? And what about Aika? Talk about a lazy bitch. She’s been recovering for months now. I bet she’s totally healed and deciding not to participate as to not ruin he image of the group~ ;D I say she’ll eventually leave the group because of health-reasons, etc.

Oh and Wada Ayaka, you piss me off SOO MUCH.

Hosts that lift up girl’s skirts, that drop-kick a petite girl to the ground, that make fun of one of the bigger girl’s weight. That’s what you can expect from the Mechaike episode that aired a few nights ago and featured some of our favorite idol groups like Berryz Kobo, S/mileage, SDN48 and a bunch of other flops.

Now let me get this out-of-the-way. I have a clear understanding of how Japan humor and culture works(roughly anyway) and while some of the stuff in the show was genuinely funny, I felt that some of it, while not crossing the line for the Japanese culture, was a bit too much for me and it started to get evident on the girl’s faces.

The idea of the show was to reunite a ton of idol groups into one show where they would compete for(what I think anyway) a chance to promote their song live at the end of the show~ Since SND48 won, they performed, but their agency probably just payed for them to perform, since they have those kinds of resources~

The first part of the show has the girls arriving into the set, along with clips of them arriving to the studio/the airport arrival scene. Here we see a certain group looking like they just arrived straight from idol training hell.

Other groups almost pass by thinking that the hosts were some fans(oh, those unpopular idol groups~), some get interviewed and we do see a lot of the leaders taking charge of talking, which makes our H!OP leaders terribly generic and uninteresting. The most eye-catching part is definitely when Berryz Kobo arrive though.

The biggest insult to most of us is probably when the hosts(and a large crowd of people tbh) called out Maasa for being “fat”. I haven’t come upon a video with any subs, but it’s pretty evident that Maasa is tots uncomfortable. You can totally see in her face how awkward this is for her and at one point she looks on the verge of tears.

Momoko seems to have supported her, but this was just way too much in my opinion. It’s not like Maasa is even a “fat” person. We all know her as one of the girls in H!P with a bigger build and while she is pudgier than the rest, an idol’s weight should never be a topic to talk about, especially in front of all your peers and a ton of strangers. Rude and punishable.

An ongoing gag in the show is Momoko doing some of that typical Sayu-esque “I’m cuter than you and I must let everyone know this” posing stuff that get’s her kicked(and drop-kicked) various times throughout the show. This gets her dragged on the floor twice and thrown into a ton of flour. W/e, she knew she was going to get pwned so in a way she deserves it though I can’t help but see a bit of regret in her after the first few times.

Oh and let’s not forget that nasty, old, greasy, monkey-looking guy who’s been hosting Japanese shows since he was 12 totally lifting up one of the idols skirts~ I don’t care how “AV” or mature the chick is, that’s just nasty. She didn’t seem to affected by it, so I guess it wasn’t a big deal. It just reminds me how perverted Japanese men are~

The second part of the show features the first game of the show which has one idol from each group dashing for their lives to be the first to catch a flag in the middle of a huge pile of Styrofoam. Things get pretty intense and we see Fukuda Kanon hanging on to that flag with her life. Berryz fails to land a win, but one of the new S/mileage sub-members(whose names I won’t bother to learn until Tsunku makes them official members) does land an epic and flawless win!

The third part has another game: high jump! It’s not too high, ofc and is pretty fun to watch. Another S/mileage sub-member owns it the first time, but fails the second, while Kumai Yurina, who is always put into these athletic events but has yet to ever impress me even once(no seriously, she’s so bad at everything, she’d probably own at basketball though), fails miserably and leads to Momoko getting pulled offstage by one of the hosts who has one of them perverted pedo faces.

The third game starts now, which has the girls sumo wrestling in a ring which is surrounded by a ton of flour. Pretty much whoever loses is going to get covered in flour. I would not let myself fall into that, but to most of the girls it’s not really a big deal. o:

Kanon is chosen to represent S/mileage and just look at that stare of determination. She ends up losing, but it’s a win in my book as she takes part in the most physical game in the show. Wada and Yuuka of course didn’t participate at all. Which of the two is more boring? Oh right, Dawa. I bet Saki would have sumo’d…

 At one point a 14-year-old nobody is faced against an 18-year-old nobody. 14 wins and out of pure jellyness, 18 pushes 14 as she celebrates. Of course, bad-ass 14 pushes 18 back and old bitch stays on the floor. My respect for 14. I think the show should have better pitted members against each other according to age since facing Momoko against a 26-year-old granny isn’t too fair.

Momoko loses that match and leads to her final owned moment where she is dragged into the flour by pedo-san and then once again dragged out of the stage, this time by her shirt. That’s going overboard for me though and I don’t find it too funny, though by the way Momoko fell into the flour(she could have very well landed standing up), Momoko is just an attention whore.

The final video just had the rest of the matches, with some high-pitched chick from SDN48 winning, along with all of the girls crying with flour covered faces. Some fake, some for real~ SDN48 performs that god awful MIN・MIN・MIN song with those atrocious bug outfits.

Overall the show was pretty fun and while I’m never going to find addressing Maasa’s weight funny, the show is very entertaining, especially seeing the idols interact and the small rivalries that form~

NEEDS MOAR MOMUSU THOUGH.

Only 18 days left until Takahashi Ai leaves Morning Musume. and her position as it’s leader for four years and two months. It seems that it’s only now getting to me that Momusu is about to lose just about all of its natural talent and flawlessness.

I’ve never been a big Ai-chan fan, she’s always just been there for me. It wasn’t until she became leader in Onna ni Sachi Are that I stopped seeing her as the shy, pretty and talented girl in Morning Musume and more as the powerful talent and inspiring leader she has become now.

I’ve never met anyone who has hated Ai, nor have I read comments here and there bashing her. I’ve never disliked anything about Ai(except her thighs), but I also have never truly loved Ai. I like Ai. It’s moments like these, when there’s less than 3 weeks left for her in Momusu that I start to get really attached to her.

Today I came upon a video of Ai-chan performing her solo song from their upcoming single on a live show. This video, where Ai was alone with no other members in sight, was where I really got to know the true Ai and not the leader Ai.

Her sparkling eyes, her bright, truly genuine smile, her spunk, her energy. This is what makes Ai the great leader that she is now. She’s been the best dancer and singer that has ever been in Morning Musume. and most possibly the best the group will ever have.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate what Ai-chan has done in H!P for almost an entire decade. Let’s appreciate her talent, her natural charm, her looks, her personality and most especially her leadership.

Morning Musume., will be a totally different group with you Ai. I’m really going to miss her.

We all know Buono! as that loveable, 3-nin group whose music tends to be on the rockier sound and is overall really good. However the group’s music has been a bit stale lately and has yet to release anything truly interesting, in my opinion anyway, since their “are they coming back?/did they disband?” stunt when their best album was released. Just for the heck of it, I blame them changing record labels.

Their latest releasse and first ever mini-album “partenza” was a really shocker for all of us, especially to me. I wasn’t expecting much out of it(that cover art didn’t help) and at first listen, I was grossed out by it. What had happened to my adorable Buono! that released cutesy rock-pop songs with lots of attitude?

Well we can say that the old Buono! is gone, but now we can say hello to electro-Buono!

The most shocking track out of all would have to be the “title” song of the album(or the first track, the one with the same name as the album, etc). partenza ~Let’s Go!!!~ is all kinds of a hot mess. I love the song now, but I still think it’s a hot mess. Initially I was intrigued by the dub-step direction the song had at the beginning but then the “B-U-O-N-O REZ GO!” chanting kicked in, followed by that exaggerated auto-tune. That’s when I threw in the towel and skipped ahead a few songs.

Eventually I had to give the song another listen, since this is after all an H!P release and I simply must love, even if by force, everything H!P releases(if not life would have no meaning). partenza ~Let’s Go!!!~ is a messy track, no doubt and will scare of any original Buono! fan accustomed to their old style of music. Despite all that, the song is quite catchy and quite the needle in the hay-stack that is Buono!’s discography.

Don’t think that’s where it ends though, that wasn’t enough electro for Miyabi so she asked for more! Thus FrankencenseΨ was born. All I could say is delicious. I’m a huge Miyabi stan as you all know, so when you mix up her flawless “nothing” voice with some electro beats, electric guitar and some voice modification, I gasm all over. The song in a way is a bit dark and rough but with that Buono! spark.

Miyabi wasn’t the only one with a solo song though. Momoko got a fun, genki, positive song which is a lot more Buono! than anything else in the album. Kia Ora Gracis Arigatou is cute, but it isn’t my cup of tea, neither is Momoko’s nasally voice.

Line-hog Airi gets My alright sky which is totally out-of-place since it isn’t neither rock nor electro. It’s one of these cheesy R&B-ballad songs! You know, like Nishino Kana’s entire discography. Her vocals are nice and soft and the song is relaxing but sorry, I could care less for an Airi solo. That’s what SHOCK! is for.

Our last new song is 1/3 no Junjou na Kanjou, which is sung by all three girls. This is the rock style we know Buono! for but with a laid-back sound and honestly good vocals. It’s the safest new song on the album and pretty darn good.

The rest of the mini is filled with previously released material which I honestly don’t really care much for. All of their recent singles haven’t really called my attention. How about we get a Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! ver. 2?!

Buono! is a completely new group from what it used to be 2 years ago. Is this a bad thing? Not entirely. If your unable to accept that groups do indeed change their sound as they grow older, then I’d imagine you don’t stick to certain groups for too long. Buono! was going through puberty and right now are in that awkward “teenager” stage. They’ll eventually figure out their sound and be as strong as ever. Kudos for being different Buono!~

Well, let’s get cracking on the two new PV’s!

The first video is for the “main” a-side, AKA the one that’s featured in all versions of the single. This one begins with Morning Musume. in bed, sleeping like idols and what not before getting up and walking to a suspicious door.

Then this scene pops up of Ikuta Erina’s feet. As Risa says in the lyrics “no tank you.”. Out of the two PV’s this and one other scene only kinda annoy me a bit. The other being Ai’s face as she reaches the door.

Jfc Ai-chan, it’s a door. Why do you look so scared? I mean, you got out of bed perfectly fine and walked towards the door like it was no problem and then put on this bitch-face when you get close to it. Meh, she ends up opening it and walking into the wonderful world of CG.

Yes, 8 members since Aika was busy making herself uglier for the second PV. Now I gotta admit that I do loooooooooove what they did with the green screen work this time around~ Unlike your typical Momusu MV’s with cheap backgrounds and such, this one really went all out on the CG and it really came out awesomely.

Let’s not forget about those dazzling costumes as well. They look amazing on some(Sayu, Erina) and horrible only on Gaki, ’cause you know, she’s ugly now.

The song is surprisingly genki and happy and has no trace of Emomusu anywhere, which I guess is nice, but the song isn’t something that’ll pass down in H!P legend.

The end of the PV has Ai looking up into this star, which in a way represents her contract annulment from H!P. Ai is all giggles and smiles when she reaches it~

The coolest thing is that once this PV finishes, Kare to Issho ni Omise ga Shitai’s PV starts up right away with a clever transition of Ai opening the door she came through and the other PV starts from inside that room.

This song is also pretty genki and happy and I think I prefer it since it’s a lor more catchier and isn’t all Ai+Reina.

Now people, this PV is kinda weird. I mean, if someone like Berryz released this, it’d be normal, but since MM never does weird, it is indeed strange.

I bet the reason why 10th gen auditions were so sudden is because Tsunku noticed that Riho is Tanaka Reina Jr. and not Ai-chan Jr., thus he needed to find a replacement for Ai(since Risa’s face is too embarrassing to have in the center all the time).

Aika is now an official troll and I’m sure she’s doing it on purpose! WHY AIKA WHY?!?!

Isn’t Aika like 20 already? Why is she STILL getting those awful hairstyles? She’s like the MM’s Hyoyeon with all them ugly hairstyles~

Reina is awesome and her and Sayu own this song. Ai is kinda non-existent even though she gets like the rest of the lines, but still. Reina’s voice is a lot less annoying in this single and Sayu’s voice is being used as it’s supposed to be! Don’t give the girl lines she has to hold, give her short, quick stuff.

Oh, and she is now an official diva of Japan. What a beauty!

One scene in the PV has 6 girls in the bottom, 2 on the top-right and Aika all by her ugly lonesome on the top-left on her little stool since she can’t walk and all~ Lol, poor girl. She is such an easy target to bully, ngl~

I love you Aika, I will never dislike you. I was in love with you in the Resonant Blue days, but it’s been like what, 4 years and you have yet to stand-out? Even Kanon gets more of my attention!

In this final scene, Ai’s head floats up into the sky with no body. A possible hint that she will be beheaded at the graduation? Maybe~

So Ai, these two weren’t bad PV’s to let go of Momusu right? At least it’s genki and in a way still shows that it’s yous last single. I’m sure that if this single were some sad ballad, every wota watching would have cut their wrists~ Or well I would anyway~

2011 has been a good year for K-Pop so far. It seems that all of the 239,382 groups that debuted last year have finally captured their style and are releasing decent music, while the veterans have given us quality releases without flopping too hard. I myself have been a K-Pop addict this year more than ever, and I’m not as ashamed of it as I used to be(it doesn’t help that J-Pop is a bit zzz lately).

4minute sluts – Mirror Mirror

Jfc can 4minute release fierce-ass music when they feel like it. Mirror Mirror even surpasses the flawless creation that was Muzik in my book! I absolutely loved everything about this release. Well, minus Jihyun’s fat and overall boringness. Fierce, flawless, Sohyun and beautiful electronic K-Pop. <3 My favorite song of the year so far.

f(x) – Hot Summer

Not gonna lie, I was never a big fan of f(x), especially after Zzzinocchio(Our career is in Danger) came out. Talk about a dull, repetitive song. Then Hot Summer came out and I absolutely fell in love. The concept is nothing extraordinary, but the song is just so firetrucking delicious and amazing. I’m so in love with this song, it’s crazy. Though it has to be the MV version which features those stomping noises which just makes everything work so much better(I have the MV version on my iPod, forget the normal version).

Heck, I can even stand Krystal and Luna in this MV.

RANIA – DR FEEL GOOD

Dark, lustful, sexy, whores in leather. That just about describes DR FEEL GOOD. I remember when this song first came out and I watched about 30 seconds of the MV before closing it thinking “Oh god, another new, generic girl group.”. Thankfully my friends reintroduced me to the group since they became the rage all over here in my K-Pop community. The song features those identical 12 blaring sounds over and over and fucking over, but it’s not too bad(although it’s what first drove me away from the song), but the leather, choreography and lyrics more than make up for it.

Fun fact: Did you know that this song was actually going to be sung by Lady Gaga but she turned it down claiming that it wasn’t her style?

RAINBOW – To Me

Let’s step away from all the sex, leather and synth and head over to the less recognized side of K-Pop, the side that makes music that is not only beautifully arranged, but that also clings to it’s K-Pop roots. That exactly what the mastermind of DAISH DANCE created with To Me. Decent vocals + Japanese producer + natural talent and *beauty + K-Pop equals something truly quite beautiful. The way everything about this song and how it was released just tickles my fancy. <3

After School – Shampoo

After School can own so many different styles and this also goes for Shampoo, which is the second single that the group has performed which isn’t really up-beat or your typical K-Pop style(though Bang! and  Because Of You were also pretty unique). The song was also produced by DAISHI DANCE, which is why you’ll find it similar in beautifulness to To Me. Clean, unique, rapping, good vocals and interesting choreography. <3

BEAST – Fiction

Finally some Korean sausage. BEAST music has been a bit stale for my taste lately. They were interesting when they first came out with their smexy members and everything, but eventually their music got all depressing and uninteresting. Release after release. With Fiction they continue to release this wrist-cutting music but they finally changed it up with the best damn synth in K-Pop this year.

2NE1 – I Am The Best

The last song in the list if of the fierce and attitude queens of Korea 2NE1! Now I know that 2NE1′s singles(Can’t Nobody, Try to Follow Me, Don’t Stop The Music) have all started to sound really similar, but this one has to be the best one so far. Oh, and the videos are looking pretty similar too actually. Anyway, a fierce song from 2NE1 and the best in their current style.

Teen Top – No More Perfume On You

Teen Top is a relatively new group but all their singles so far have been pretty amazing. Their latest song is no doubt their best though. In a way it’s your typical K-Pop song but it has a certain feeling/mood that’s a-typical these days. In a way it’s similar to RAINBOW’s Sweet Dream. Oh, and hot Korean guys is always a plus. ;D

Out with the old and in with the new. Not too long ago(maybe like 10 minutes ago?), our dear Queen of Drama Tsunku announced that S/mileage’s queen of vocals and natural tanned beauty will be leaving 3/4 flawless+1/4 flawed group S/mileage in order to return to a normal ~student life~.

Message from Tsunku-san:

Thank you gratefully for your continual support of Hello! Project and myself.

Let’s get right to the announcement I want to tell you.
From S/mileage, who has recently gain 5 sub-members, Ogawa Saki will be graduating from S/mileage and subsequently from Hello! Project.

Early in May this year
“Earlier, I have been contemplated and consolidated with staffs, about returning to being a normal middle school student. I feel very strongly about this, please let me quit.”
she has made this request.

Even being the youngest in the group, I have entrusted her with her singing skills.
However, now, from here on and out, as a group and each member individually, their strong desires to improve persist.
Even as a producer, it’s not in the best interest of the group and members to continue to force a member in doubt to endure more group activities, therefore Ogawa’s request has been accepted.

It was officially announced at first that this unit’s member might increase or decrease,
it was due this is reason that an urgent S/mileage member audition was held in June this year.
Due to various conditions of the group, herself and other parties involved, as well as terms and conditions on contract,
it was not until today that this information and her will can be reported, please accept my apologizes.

Also, she is still an immature student.
A working adult would understand that abandoning work half way is an inexcusable act,
but please consider her straight and strong feelings, and watch over her with your warm and love.

Therefore, all fans, please take care of S/mileage which is still in its infant stage.

Thank you for always supporting me.

As of August 27th 2011 I, Ogawa Saki, will graduate from S/mileage as well as Hello! Project.

Since our major debut last year in May, I have enjoyed every single day as part of S/mileage.

However, somewhere down in my heart, I felt there was a gap between myself and the S/mileage me. I have talked it over with the staff many times and have been constantly worrying about it, and with everyone working their hardest to move forward and myself still uncertain of things, I decided that it was not in the best interest of S/mileage and I will return to being just a normal girl.

I apologize for the last minute announcement.

While there may be feelings of sadness, S/mileage will always be a group with it’s trademark smile!

I’ll be working my hardest to end with a smile until my last event on 8/27, I know there isn’t a lot of time left but I hope you can support me!

The new members will power up S/mileage after I graduate so I hope you’ll continue to support them.

S/mileage Ogawa Saki

I’m sure there won’t be any H!P fan out there that wasn’t absolutely shocked at this decision. In a way it’s nice to know that the girls have the freedom to leave the group in order to continue on with a normal life, but of course to us fans it’s never a good thing to see an idol go, especially when their one of your favorites.

Many were wondering as to why Saki would want to leave the group. Some blamed the 5 new members that joined the group, that could possibly “threaten” the current members position in the group since even the original 4-nin could be on the bad end of a demotion. Maybe Saki felt threatened(which I don’t agree with since her position in the group is too important) by the new members and didn’t want to deal with the extra stress.

Thank you gods of the idol world for getting rid of yet another one of my most favorite member’s in Hello!Project! :D If your curious as to who to let next, I’m a really big fan of Natsuyaki Miyabi, Nakajima Saki, Yajima Maimi, Sudo Maasa, Ugly Aika and Ikuta Erina! <3

Saki, your loud, shouty but good vocals will be missed and S/mileage is nothing without you. Kanon, it’s up to you to keep this group alive!
