There is always a God-ward side and then there is the man-ward side. Over and over again in scripture we see that when men did their part, God always did His. This is the “hands-on” type of relationship the Lord has designed for us. Nothing is left to chance or “fate“, but rather, everything depends on faith and obedience!

Exodus 1:21

“And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.”

The Egyptian midwives feared God. They were unwilling to go through with the murderous plan of satan to destroy the sons of Israel. Their fear compelled them to do what was right and to even oppose pharaoh! This kind of courage brought wonderful results to those engaged in cooperation with God. God made them houses.

You know, there’s so much that God longs to do in our lives. There’s even some things he wants to make for you! What makes the difference is simply when we do our part. So I encourage you, (I encourage myself!), do your part today. Identify what your side is, and fulfill it! On the other side of faith and obedience a wonderful fulfillment of promise awaits. Something bigger and better than you could possible expect. It’s waiting for you! Just do your part.

Luke 9:48

“…Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me…” 

The Words of Jesus could not be clearer. Receiving precious boys and girls in His name is a wonderful privilege!

Luke 4:1

“And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness…”

Jesus was in the wilderness for 40 days. The children of Israel, 40 years. The timing has a lot to do with God, and it has a lot to do with us. Remember, the wilderness experience is all part of God’s plan. He teaches us in that place and does a work in our lives that could be done no other way. He knows what He is doing, and when we cooperate with Him, we will come out on the other side.

Sadly, many of Israel never made it out of that place. They died in the wilderness and only the next generation crossed over into the promised land. Bottom line, the Lord will allow us to stay in that place as long as it takes; even if it means wandering around our entire lives. His will is for us to come out of course, but that is up to us.

Like Jesus, we can overcome! With the power of the Holy Spirit and the living word of God, there’s no temptation we cannot conquer. If you find yourself facing a wilderness experience right now, allow God to work that change in your life which is necessary and you’ll enter your next phase / season equipped and ready.

You can do it. The Lord is with you.

The Word of the Lord this year for our ministry is that 2012 will be, “A year of paths to walk in”!

Psalm 65:11 declares,

“Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.”

We’re expecting just that! The Lord has placed great emphasis on the reality that “His paths” are dripping with fatness, which means abundance. Think of it; His abundance / provision, in every area is literally dropping on His paths. When we walk His path, His abundance is waiting.

In accordance with this word we are exhorting the people of God connected to us, especially our church members in Sikkim, India and all of our Bible School graduates, and we certainly exhort you as well, to make sure we are living and walking on the God ordained path for our lives. For some people that means getting back on track. For all of us, it means we are seeking God for His continued guidance, being led by the Holy Spirit, and living a life of uncompromising obedience to King Jesus.

We’re excited about this year, we’re excited to be on His path, and we’re excited about the abundance that is waiting for us. This is going to be a great year!
