April 2012 Newsletter

My next scheduled travel will take me back to Dimapur, Nagaland in the Northeast and Kapurthala, Punjab in Northwest India. These trips will be back to back and we’ll be graduating Ambassador Academy students in both locations. I’m excited about more disciples being released into the harvest fields of this region. There are literally multiplied millions of lost souls in this part of the world, and the laborers of the gospel who are being trained and equipped are their hope. Please continue to pray for us and our outreach that is growing extensively.

Our Ambassador Academy graduation dates are:

• May 15th – Punjab
• May 20th – Nagaland

Once again, thank you for your prayers and support. Together we are fulfilling God’s eternal purpose!

Genesis 47:9

“And Jacob said unto Pharaoh, The days of the years of my pilgrimage are an hundred and thirty years: few and evil have the days of the years of my life been, and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.”

Our pilgrimage includes three things:

1. Turning aside from the road most traveled…
   This certainly isn’t the most popular lifestyle one could choose. But the believer in Christ absolutely has turned aside, and in so doing we’ve made the only decision that is truly rational; to surrender our life to the One we owe our lives to.
2. Embracing a temporary abode…
   It’s not always comfortable, and it’s not always convenient, but isn’t it a relief to know that it is temporary.
3. Anticipating a permanent residence…
   Finally, in this pilgrimage we understand,  a permanent residence does await us. A city who’s builder and maker is God! (Hebrews 11:10). We are citizens of an eternal kingdom, and it is in the Lord’s Kingdom that our loyalties must lie.

Dear friend, as you journey the road less traveled, embracing a temporary abode, may your anticipation of that permanent residence grow and grow and grow! Jesus is coming and with Him we will for eternity reign – through Christ as more than conquerors, victors in Jesus name!

March 2012 Newsletter

Please pray for me and my family, as well as for the Bible School in Nagaland. Traveling is never an easy time, and it’s no fun missing my family. Jyoti and the kids need extra grace while I’m away, and I’m confident they have it.

On the other side of India, on the western frontier, the Bible School in Punjab is in it’s 3rd week. The students are learning and growing, and an eternal foundation is being established in their lives. This is our vision becoming a reality -  India, “The Nation of Salvation!” Full of disciples doing the works of Jesus. A beautiful, glorious church established throughout this land. It’s coming to pass! Thank you for your prayers.

There are several ways you can get involved with this event:

1. Pray – My travel will be between March 16 – March 23, and the full session of training will continue through May 15th.
2. Consider visiting as a teacher – If you are an able teacher of God’s Word, we could use your help! Because of the distance from our home base in Gangtok, Sikkim and the school in Punjab, it’s difficult for us to provide a steady flow of teachers. If you’d like to participate in this, get in touch with us by commenting at the bottom of this post and we’ll see what we can work out.
3. Give – Our contacts in Punjab have estimated a $3,000 budget for this session of training. That works out to just about $150 per student. You could sponsor a student or sow any Spirit-led amont and help us make more disciples!

Exodus 1:12
“But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.” 

It’s a paradox of God’s Kingdom. God’s people flourish in the midst of persecution. We grow when times are tough, we multiply and increase, and affliction serves as fuel to this unquenchable force.

Historically, the Church has always risen above trying times. The greatest detriment has often been less trying times; times of prosperity versus persecution; ease rather than difficulty. The challenge has always been to contend for the things of God when the enemy seems silent. When all is well, calm and cool; that is when the greatest fervor is required!

Affliction drives the Saint to the Answer! What the Saint must learn is it to seek the Answer even in the absence of affliction. When peace is present, and favor is manifest; that’s not the time to coast, but that’s when we must seek the Lord the most!

In the absence of persecution, we can still multiply and increase.  The only prerequisite for growth is to seek God – so seek Him today; regardless of what’s happening “outside”. Seek Him, pursue Him, lay hold of Him. Don’t wait until a time when circumstance would dictate you have no choice. Realize this is the only real choice you ever have.

“God desires to use His people to bring transformation to the world around them!”
