One of the main portions of my Stateside trip is the mission’s conference hosted every year by World Outreach Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Fire for the Nations begins this  Sunday and it’s going to be a tremendous time of impartation by the Holy Ghost!

I expect to receive valuable fuel and ministry direction for the coming several months in India. So much is happening and it’s important sometimes to step back and renew God’s perspective on the work He has called us to do. I’m ready! We visited our outreach site on Wednesday and invested about 2 hours of time. Our target was the children and they came out in large numbers. Well over 200 boys and girls crowded around us to hear the gospel and to have fun!

This time all of our “Hope Home” boys and girls joined us and engaged in outreach. Our girls helped lead worship and our boys went throughout the village gathering other children and brining them to the meeting. It was a huge success!

We’re mixing the summer fun in with another outreach in Siliguri, which happens on Wednesday. Everyone will come down the mountains and into the plains, all 16 of them, and meet up with us who are leaving a day early. We’re involving all of our “Hope Home” children in a big children’s outreach at the same location as our open-air meeting last month. The outreach location is also the site of our newly established fellowship that currently meets in a school hall.

So, it’s gonna be fun! We’re really looking forward to seeing all the children enjoy water slides, bumper cars, and the wave pool. We’re also looking forward to leading many more children into a relationship with Jesus! Please keep us in your prayers as we travel the next couple of days, and believe with us for a highly effective outreach and our on-going ministry to Siliguri, West Bengal.

Haggai 1:8

Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the Lord.

God has commissioned us to build, and God gave Haggai a three step plan, a plan that will work when followed:

1. Go up to the mountain…
2. Bring wood…
3. Build the house…

As natural needs mount in response to spiritual growth, the need to build becomes more and more pressing. But pressing needs don’t mean being pressured and seeking natural solutions. We must press in, and we must press in spiritually.

This then is how we build: We go up the mountain, the mountain of prayer! We gather wood, indicative of the Word of the Lord, and we build.

The foundation is prayer and the Word of God! Remember, Jesus said, “…my house shall be called the house of prayer…”

His house, the house we’re building, is a house of prayer. It is built on prayer and prayer alone will supply the needed building materials. We will continue to build! Prayerfully. According to the Word of the Lord! This puts the work in God’s hands, and He’s the only One that knows all the details anyway, so it’s fitting.

Remember, “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it…”

This time we helped 25 families. All of them received a bundle of tin for their roofs; a small help that is speaking loudly to the hearts of the people. Our goal is to clearly communicate the love of Jesus to a people in a place that has never seen His love in action – it truly is a wonderful thing to be involved in!

We had a great trip. We were able to spend extra time with the people, sitting with them, doing our best to communicate with them. They served us tea, asked us questions, and we shared the gospel with a few.

On our 3rd trip we were able to spend extra time with the people, and important step in making heart connections for the future.

On our next trip we plan to bring some evangelism resources, but first we need to find them in the Urdu language. A great door is opening and we’re very excited about God’s future plans. Please continue to pray for us and the people of Baraily village.

We still need about $2700 for this project and we thank God for His abundant provision!

Zephaniah 3:4

“Her prophets are light [lacking truth, gravity, and steadiness] and men of treachery; her priests have profaned the sanctuary…”

If I take God lightly or treat His holy Word as a light thing; this will ensure my life becomes light too. If my own words are light and flippant, if my lifestyle is void of truth and conviction, that will lead me down the path of lightness.

I like how the word gravity was used in the above verse (AMP). It describes an invisible force behind an individuals’ life. That force is a heavy, weighty, thing. It adds a dimension of depth to everything we say and do. My words must have gravity. My life must exude that wonderful force available to the child of God.

Refuse to live a light life, and…may the force be with you!
