Haven’t we all needed a little permission slip some days?

I definitely know I have.

And sometimes not such a little one, but a huge BIG one, from a dear soulsister!

So, if you too need a permission slip today or any other day, this is it.

This is your permission slip to REST when you need to. Drop the lists, the chores, and all the should-dos. And gently sit, or better yet, lie yourself down and simply REST. That’s all, nothing more. Everything else will still be there waiting for you after you’ve taken care of yourself and your rest. We all need to allow ourselves a break sometimes.

This is your permission slip to get outdoors, to move, or to GROUND yourself. Often when we are feeling out of sorts, out of our centre, out of balance, we only need a breather. Some fresh air, a little sunshine on our face, gentle rain caressing our skin, the feel of the bark of our tree beneath our hugging arms, our toes digging into Mother Earth, or swishing through some water, is all we need to GROUND more deeply. Shift your perspective and replenish your soul. Go on, you deserve it.

This is your permission slip to LET IT GO. We all know this one is not that easy, yet it is a process. A spiral of letting the layers loosen around us. Allowing ourselves to forgive, self first naturally, is a gift. And then extending that forgiveness to others. A practice that frees up precious space and energy for our souls. Start today. Journal it out and burn it. Find one thing and LET IT GO. Your heart thanks you.

This is your permission slip to sit in the moonlight gazing up at the stars, and start to DREAM. Allow your mind to drift, your vision to soften, and see where your dreams may lead you. Feel your dream growing using all your senses to imagine it as a reality. Spend some time imagining how you will feel at the moment your dream is your reality. And don’t forget to DREAM big!

This is your permission slip to do the one scary WILD thing. Yes, that thing that’s been calling to your heart and soul, like forever. Or so it feels. Place your hand on your heart, take the biggest breath ever, and then ask yourself ‘What is the one step I can take right now towards this thing?’. Listen, feel, and then just do it. Don’t overthink it, trust your heart and soul. Take the one step. Eat the frog. Leap into action right now. Go do the scary WILD thing.

This is your permission slip to simply BE you.

Take whichever permission slip speaks to you in this moment. Or get creative, craft your own. Then, go for it.

Give yourself full permission to simply BE you, in this moment and always.

As your soulsister, I give you your permission slip, right here, right now.

A permission slip for whatever you may need it to be for.

Use it bravely, go do the thing.

If you want cheering along, or a more personal permission slip, I am only a message away.

And I love to connect, chat, hold space and work together.

with love, D

Ps. I did a fun and wild thing, and cut my hair rather short. I embrace my word for the year, brave, with joy and an open heart.
