<p>Gillian Greer, our graphic designer completed 10 different options for this client&#8217;s authentic farm-style kitchen. All these options have it&#8217;s own cost attached due to the different time allocation for each. <p>Gillian Greer is in the process of creating this new ceramic arttile panel. It is a commission and will adorn the entrance to a holiday apartment next to the distinguished Marine Hotel, a prestigious Walkerbay property with one of the southern hemisphere&#8217;s most spectacular seascapes.</p> <p>The original drawing was reworked with computer aided editing programs with an aim to recreate the figure. The influence of present day technology will be the foundation when the artist start the transfer of this preparative drawing. <p>We were approached by the client&#8217;s interior designer with this specific brief. Colour was important and the red of the Smeg stove was to be used all so subtly in the designs. <p>These art deco tiles were commissioned by a client of ours. The handmade tiles were installed on a curved wall in a small private courtyard and served as a backdrop to a freestanding water feature.</p> <p>Besides being an attractive visual backdrop to the water feature the panel is a pleasure to look at from within the kitchen that borders this patio. <p>Danela Conti and Leigh Samson the owners of <a href="http://www.malibusofts.co.za" title="MalibuSofts">MalibuSofts</a>, an interior design company, commissioned these superb individualized customized tiles for their client&#8217;s property at De Zalze golf estate near Stellenbosch. This post show some intriguing originality in the use of colour and positioning of the installed tiles by these two fast thinking individuals.
