We recently built up some gate inserts that were being resized.  Our customer needed a detail change that required a 0.0065 build up per side. This is no big deal for us, although this job had an additional challenge — perform the laser weld buildup but also avoid damaging the gate hole.  Our laser tech came through for a big success — he was able to add the material to the center boss and stay at least 0.003 away from the gate hole!

We are — and we’re excited to be going such an amazing event.  Not only are we looking forward to meeting with existing and prospective customers, every time we go to an event like this it sparks new ideas and ways we can improve.

This year, we’re in the midst of expanding our operations, so it will be nice to get a look at all of the equipment in one place without a lot of phone calls and expensive meetings with vendors.
