DIY Magnetic Makeup Board

I pinned a magnetic makeup board on Pinterest that inspired me to make my own. She used an old photo frame from the thrift store that she painted and inserted a sheet of metal that was covered in fabric. After doing some more research on a magnetic makeup board, I found out that baking sheets were magnetic and other people had used those and glued scrap paper to make their boards. That's where I got the idea to make my own DIY Magnetic Makeup Board.

I got a baking sheet from the dollar tree and spray painted it black. While looking for scrapbook paper that would fit the baking sheet (I couldn't find any the right size) I found a deal on patterned duct tape. Since my baking sheet was already painted black, I decided to buy the zebra print duck tape. Next, I wasn't sure if magnetic tape strips or magnetic buttons would be better, so I got both to test them out. When I got home I cut the duct tape into strips to fit the width of the baking sheet and applied until it was covered.

After covering the baking sheet with tape, I plugged in my glue gun. I tested the magnetic strips and the magnetic buttons and the buttons definitely held up better than the strips. So I glued the buttons to the back of some of the eye shadow cases and I glued ribbon to the back of the baking sheet.

I hung the baking sheet on to a nail in my wall and Ta-Da! my own personal Magnetic Makeup Board! It's made it a lot easier to find my makeup compared to digging in my makeup bag every morning. It was definitely a fun and inexpensive DIY project that I get to use everyday.

Hot Chocolate 5K

A few weeks ago, a group of us ran in the Hot Chocolate 5K in downtown Atlanta. It was the biggest race I've ever participated in, almost 20,000 people ran in either the 5K or 15K. Luckily, it was well organized and we all had a lot of fun!! The race began at Turner Field and we got there early since we knew it was going to be crowded. While we were waiting for the race to start we walked around and took a few pictures before we had to line up for the race.

When you signed up online for the race, they asked for your average mile pace and put everyone in "corrals" so that it wouldn't get overly crowded during the race. Every minute or so they would let another corral go. The route was really cool to run through downtown Atlanta, past the Capital building and other landmarks. What kept me going was knowing that we would be rewarded with chocolate after we finished the race!

When we finished the 5K we got a "Finisher's Mug" that had Godiva hot chocolate, chocolate fondue, and treats to dip into your fondue such as: pretzels, marshmallow, wafers, rice krispie treats, and bananas. It was DELICIOUS! They had a DJ playing music and people were sitting around eating their finisher's mug so we hung out and listened to music and enjoyed our chocolate treats! It was such a fun race, I would definitely do it again if they came back next year!

Trends with Benefits - My TV debut!

I can't believe that I haven't shared this yet, I had my 15 min. of fame on national tv! (okay, maybe it was only 5 min, but it was still really cool) I was on a segment on TBS called "Trends with Benefits." It's a show that is similar to "Movie and a Makeover" but is centered around dating trends.

TBS was looking for 2 girls and 2 guys in Atlanta to be featured on the show and I was contacted to see if I was interested in being one of the girls. Match.com is one of the partners for the show and I had signed up on that site last year and that's where they found me for the segment. I was asked to send in a video of myself answering a few questions and with the help of my roommate, Andrea, and her boyfriend, Adam, I had an awesome video that was chosen!

We filmed for 2 days and we talked about dating trends & fashion for Fall/Winter. It wasn't scripted, they wanted our answers to be natural, so we had a host that led the discussions and then we just answered the questions. I was so nervous but it was a lot of fun! We had our own hair and makeup artists that made us look pretty and the whole Trends with Benefits crew was awesome and made us feel really comfortable on set. I learned it's a lot harder to be on camera than I thought it would be! We filmed 4 scenes that were featured on TBS during the commercials in between a movie one Saturday morning in October.

Reese's Fudge Pie

I found a pie recipe on Pinterest and decided to make it for "Pie Day" at work. It was easy, delicious, and a big hit around the office so I thought I would share the recipe!

Reese's Fudge Pie

Ingredients

Crust:

Frozen pie crust (I used a frozen crust that was 20% larger than normal pie crusts because the recipe said there was a lot of pie filling and the larger size frozen pie crust was perfect)

Fudge:

1 (14 oz) can of sweetened condensed milk
2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla
1 (8oz) bag Reese’s Minis

Peanut Butter Mousse:
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup powdered sugar
8 oz room temp cream cheese
1 1/2 cups Cool Whip, thawed.
*optional 1/4 cup melted chocolate for drizzle

Directions

Start thawing the crust and set aside. (The original recipe uses a homemade graham cracker crust, click here if you want to make your own)

Milk all ingredients together over medium low stirring until chips are melted and smooth.

Spread over your graham cracker crust.

Press Reese’s Minis into the fudge.

Mix peanut butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar together in a bowl with a hand mixer until combined and smooth.

Fold in your Cool Whip.

Spread on top of your fudge.

Drizzle with melted chocolate & broken reese's if desired.

Chill at least one hour before serving.

The pie was very rich, chocolatey and delicious! I would recommend small slices because it was so rich. Because we cut the pie into smaller slices it actually fed a lot of people. The Reese's Fudge Pie was a huge hit, very easy to make, and looked impressive!

Callaway Gardens Twilight 10K

I'm proud to say I ran my first 10k! I downloaded the Couch to 10k app on my iphone and trained for 14 weeks for the Callaway Gardens Twilight 10k. The Twilight run started at 4pm and the course was through the Callaway Gardens "FANTASY IN LIGHTS" Christmas light display a week before it opened to the public. My friend, Elizabeth, signed up and ran the 10K with me and her husband Trent came to cheer us on! We got there a little early so we would have enough time to sign in and we took a few pictures around Callaway Gardens while we waited for the race to start.

The 10k was difficult but Elizabeth was such a great running partner! She kept us pumped up and every time I wanted to stop and take a break she pushed me to keep going! I was so proud of us!!

We celebrated by going to dinner at a restaurant next to Callaway Gardens called Cricket's. Adam drove to Pine Mountain after practice to help us celebrate that Liz and I ran the Twilight 10k Run!

It was a fun weekend and I'm proud that I ran a 10k & was able to celebrate with friends!

NYE Ski Trip

A few months ago, my friends and I decided we wanted to going skiing for New Years! We found the perfect cabin for our group right by Sugar Mountain in North Carolina. We drove up on a Friday and ate a delicious dinner in Banner Elk. We woke up to snow Saturday morning and it was beautiful!

Half of our group went skiing that Saturday and the other half decided to relax at the cabin and we went to Banner Elk and found a good restaurant to eat lunch. Unfortunately, I was getting over a cold so I slept the rest of the afternoon and that night some of the group went night skiing.

On Sunday, Sushannah, Jeffrey, Adam, and I got a Twilight ski ticket so that we could ski all afternoon and also that night. The weather was perfect and we had such a fun day skiing!

We woke up early New Years' Eve and got on the mountain when they opened the lifts. The weather was nice and we all had such a great day skiing on Sugar Mountain!

We celebrated New Years Eve at our cabin at even got to see fireworks from the lodge at Midnight!

I had such a great time ringing in the New Year with great friends, snow, and skiing!

Christmas 2012

I spent Christmas in Alabama with family and friends. I saved up enough days to take a whole week off so it was fun to relax and celebrate the holiday! A few days before Christmas, we met at my aunt & uncle's house to have our annual Bassett family Christmas. We enjoyed dinner, desserts, and also played a fun game of dirty santa. It was a fun night & I'm glad I got to spend time with family!

One Christmas Eve, Mom & I went to the Christmas Eve service at Southside Baptist Church. Afterwards, Sushannah, Mom and I took pictures around our church's Christmas decorations.

I also got to visit with Lauren on her Christmas Eve birthday. It was good to get to spend some time with her, catch up on what she's been up to and exchange gifts!

On Christmas day, we had really bad weather so we had to cut our Christmas celebrating short so that Heather & Stephanie's families could drive back home before the tornado warnings. But before they had to leave we all had a great time at Mom & Dad's eating Christmas dinner, opening gifts, and spending time together!

I enjoyed getting to spend time with family & friends over my Christmas break! I'm so thankful to have so many amazing people in my life and I'm glad we were able to celebrate the holiday together!

GA Tech Game

One weekend this Fall, Adam drove to Atlanta and we went to a GA Tech game! I love the the atmosphere at a GA Tech game and the view of the skyline from the stadium is awesome.

After half time, we went and sat with Andrea, Jenn, and Colleen. We had fun watching the rest of the game with them in the student section with all of their GA Tech friends!

Even though they didn't win we still had a great time at the GA Tech game!

Track or Treat – Chris Patterson Memorial 5K

In October, I went to Columbus, GA to run in the The Track or Treat Chris Patterson Memorial 5k. Chris was the brother of my friend, Natalie, and he worked at the Chattahoochee Valley Community college. The 5K race raised money to support The Chris Patterson Student Support Fund, designed to help Chattahoochee Valley Community College students facing financial hardships who need a special helping hand to complete their educations. There was a great turn out of people who showed up to run and also to cheer on all of the 5k runners!

The night before the race, I drove to Columbus and ate dinner at Houlihan's. It was good to catch up with friends that I grew up with and their families. We also celebrated Elizabeth's birthday!

The 5K race was around Halloween and we were encouraged to wear costumes. It was a lot of fun to see everyone run in Halloween costumes!

Before the 5K they had a Kid's Fun Run. Virginia and Keith's daughter, Mary Grace, ran in the Fun Run with help from Elizabeth. It was so cute to see the kids run around the baseball field!

After the kid's Fun Run we all lined up for the 5K that would be around the Chattahoochee Valley Community college campus. It was very hilly around the campus but I had fun running and seeing everyone else run in Halloween costumes.

I'm glad I got to spend time with good friends, run in a costume 5K, and support such a great cause!

Back from my Blog Hiatus!

Well hello friends! You may have noticed that I have been absent in the blog world for the past few months. But I'm excited to say, "I'm Back!" I was getting overwhelmed this fall and had to prioritize what to keep on the my to-do list and I decided to take a short break from blogging…which turned into a lot longer than I meant for it to. But I'm back and can't wait to catch up on what all my blog friends have been up to! I have a lot of fun stuff to fill you in on and I'm going to be working on new blog posts this weekend! Sopapilla Cheesecake

I tried out this recipe for our Labor Day brunch party and it was delicious & so easy to make! It would be the perfect recipe for a sweet breakfast dish or it would even be great for a dessert.

-2 cans pillsbury butter crescent rolls
-2 (8oz) packages cream cheese (softened)
-1 cup sugar
-1 teaspoon vanilla
-1/4 cup butter (melted)
-Cinnamon & sugar

Unroll and spread 1 can crescent rolls on bottom of un-greased pan. Combine softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla. Spread mixture over crescent rolls. Unroll and spread remaining crescent rolls over mixture. Spread melted butter over the top and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Enjoy!

Troy- Miss State Game!

On Saturday, Troy hosted their first SEC home game against Mississippi State! A lot of my friends were in town for the game and we set up a tent on campus to hang out together before the game. It was so much fun to see everyone and spend the day tailgating & watching the football game!

It was such a close game, and even though Troy lost, I was so proud to be a Trojan! I was excited to see so many friends on Saturday and enjoy game day in Troy. I love football season!

CHHS Game

Friday night, I left Atlanta and drove to Troy to see Adam coach the Charles Henderson Trojans in their home football game against Tallahassee. I dropped off my car at my parents when I got in to town and we went to the stadium together. We sat with Adam's parents and all had a great time watching the game and enjoying the atmosphere high school football!

Mom got a program and we had fun looking through it during the game. We saw a lot of pictures of Adam and we even saw my Dad's name featured in the program for being an Alumni from CHHS that got a football scholarship. It was a fun night and we had a great time watching football, seeing the half time shows, eating funnel cakes, and catching up with everyone. Sushannah, her mom, her boyfriend, and brother Emory also came to the game. It was so good to see them!

It was fun to go to the CHHS game to cheer on the Trojans and spend time with friends & family!

Skinny Tailgate Dip

I tried out a recipe last weekend that I brought to a football party and it was delicious! If you use the fat-free cream cheese, it's on the healthier side when you compare it to a lot of other dip recipes out there. It's really easy to make and once you set it out, it will be gone!

Skinny Tailgate Dip

Ingredients

1 red pepper
2 jalapeños (unseeded)
1 can of corn
1/2 can diced olives
16 oz fat-free cream cheese (softened)
1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch dip seasoning mix

Directions

Set out the cream cheese for 30 min to soften and make it easier to stir the rest of the ingredients in. Chop 1 red pepper and 2 jalapeños. If you like it hot you can keep some seeds, but I unseeded my jalapeños. Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl or serving container. Serve with crackers. Enjoy!!

Labor Day Brunch

My roommates and I hosted a Labor Day Brunch over the weekend! We invited over our friends and we all enjoyed delicious brunch foods like homemade cinnamon sugar donuts, bacon egg & cheese cups, sopapilla cheesecake, muffins, sister schubert sausage rolls, coffee cake, cinnamon rolls and hashbrown casserole. We also set up a Mimosa Bar! We served champagne with orange juice, pineapple juice, peach nectar, strawberries, pineapples, and rasberries. The mimosas were delicious and it was fun to mix up different fruit juices and garnishes. It was good to spend time with all of my friends and enjoy delicious brunch food and mimosas!

Labor Day weekend recap

I had such a fun & relaxing Labor Day weekend in Atlanta! I got to hang out with friends over the weekend, see friends that were visiting that I haven't seen in a while, watch a lot of football, host a brunch at our house, lay out by the pool, and catch up on a lot of shows on netflix. It was wonderful– I think every weekend should be a three day weekend! Here are some pics I took on my iphone over labor day weekend.

{1} I got highlights from Dara at Genesis, she's awesome and so sweet! {2} Kath was in town for work so I met up with her at Mellow Mushroom for dinner.

On Saturday, I watched football games at Ben & Courtney's apartment with Andrea, Adam, Emily, Daniel, Ben, Courtney, James, Lauren, & Kara. It was such a fun day! I'm so glad football season is back. I sported my Alabama forever necklace that Lauren gave me for my birthday! Roll Tide!

On Sunday, my roommates and I hosted a Labor Day brunch at our house! We made a lot of delicious brunch foods and set up a mimosa bar with different fruit juices, champagne, and fruit garnishes. We had a blast! Kath & Carey were some of my first friends in Atlanta, but they moved a few years ago and I haven't seen them in a long time. They were both in Atlanta for Labor Day and it so much fun to get to see them, reminisce, and catch up! My sorority sister, Dana, was also in Atlanta and she came over for the day and my friend from Troy, Cooper, also stopped by for the brunch!

Sunday night, w went to La Parota for a delicious mexican dinner! After that we decided to go out in Buckhead since we had monday off. We had a lot of fun hanging out and we even played a few games of life-size jenga at Buckhead Saloon!

It was definitely a fun-filled labor day weekend in Atlanta with friends! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend!

Happy Friday! I'm so excited about a 3-day holiday weekend!! Sorry I've been a little absent in the blog world lately. Work has been so busy the past few weeks, but hopefully I'll be able to catch up on google reader this weekend and see what everyone has been up to! I thought it would be fun to share some of the random pics that I've taken on my iphone lately.

{1} I'm so glad the Hunger Games is finally out on dvd! I went out and bought it the weekend it came out and I've watched it 3 times already.

{2} I finally got my new purse in the mail from Hautelook and I love it! It's a cute fall purse with a classy chevron/tribal look to it. And because it's from Hautelook it was a great deal. Can't beat that.

{3} So I took a picture of the ingredients in a recipe I made and forgot to take a picture of the final product. But it turned out great and it's only 1 WW point per slice so I thought I would share the recipe: Mix 1 box lemon cake mix with one 20 oz bottle of diet 7-up. Bake at 350 for 30 min in 9x13 pan. If you want a topping you could cover with one tub of light cool whip. We ate the cake with light cool whip, strawberries, & blueberries and it was delicious!

{4} For the past few weeks I've had computer issues at work. My computer died and they couldn't revive it, so I was using an older computer that our IT department had and it was so slow that I literally wanted to throw it across the room at times. But this week they set me up with a new mac book pro with CS6! I have been in heaven all week, I'm loving my new mac baby!

{5} I'm halfway through with Shadow of Night- the next book in the Discovery of Witches series by Deborah Harkness. I loved Discovery of Witches so I was really excited to start this book. I downloaded the audiobook and I'm really enjoying it, but it's so long- I'm 12 hrs in and only halfway through. I also have so many other books on my reading list that I need to finish (The Lucky One, The Castaways, etc.) but lately I have become addicted to watching tv shows on netflix at night instead of reading. I'm now obsessed with: Vampire Diaries, Breaking Bad, Friday Night Lights, One Tree Hill, and Arrested Development (which is currently filming a new season, so excited!)

{6} This week I am officially halfway through with my Couch to 10K training!! I ran 35 min straight and it was pretty tough, but hopefully I can keep it up because I signed up for a 10K. I'm running in the Twilight 10K in Callaway Gardens the first Saturday in November. It starts at 4pm and we'll be running through all of their holiday light displays one week before they open it to the public. It sounds like a fun race and now I have motivation to finish my training!

So do y'all have any big plans for Labor Day weekend? I'm staying in Atlanta and watching football on Saturday and my roommates & I are hosting a Labor Day brunch at our house on Sunday (mimosa bar, yeah!). Other than that I'll be relaxing, catching up on books, and watching shows on netflix.

AGD Reunion at Two Urban Licks

A few weeks ago, some of my sorority sisters were in Atlanta and I met them at one of my favorite restaurants, Two Urban Licks. Most of the girls were seniors when I was pledging and they had planned a weekend to get together with some of the other girls they had lived with in the Alpha Gam house. They knew I lived in Atlanta and they asked me to meet up with them on Saturday night. We had such a great time at dinner! It was good to see the girls I haven't seen in a while and catch up! I didn't know some of the girls because they graduated right before I pledged, so it was really nice to meet them! I loved reminiscing about all of our college stories and it made me feel blessed that I was able to be apart of such an amazing group of girls in college. Dinner was amazing, we ordered a few appetizers, fruity cocktails, and I got the steak that was divine. We had such a great time together and it was fun to be apart of the AGD reunion weekend in Atlanta!

Weekend Update- Football, Family & Friends

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I drove to Troy, AL Friday night after work to see Adam's first football game of the season. He coaches for our old high school, Charles Henderson High School and they played our rival, Pike County, for the season opener. The game was at Pike County's stadium so when I got in the town I went and picked up my Dad, who also went to Charles Henderson, and we went to the football game! We had a great night watching the game and it was fun to see us beat pike county 44-2! Go Trojans! After the game was over, we got to go on the field and I got to see Adam and congratulate him on his big win! I also was able to see and catch up with Adam's Mom, Dad and brother while we were on the field after the game. It was a fun night and I'm looking forward to going to more football games this fall!

On Saturday, I woke up early and went to the Huddle House with Mom & Dad for breakfast. After that we went thrift shopping and I found a lot of cute stuff. My favorite was an adorable chevron door mat for my house!

I met up with Sushannah later on for lunch at Santa Fe and then we decided to go shopping at all of the boutiques in Troy that afternoon. We had such a fun time going from store to store and we found a lot of good deals on cute jewelry and clothes for the fall. It was so good to see Susie and spend some time with her on Saturday! We forgot to take pictures so we snapped one in the car before she left!

On Sunday, Adam had football meetings that afternoon so we decided to meet up and have breakfast together at Julia's. Breakfast was delicious and it was good to get to see him again before I left. That afternoon, I went to the matinee with my parent's and Mom & I went to see Sparkle and Dad went to see The Expendables 2. Sparkle was a pretty good movie and I loved all of the singing! After the movies I drove back to Atlanta. It was such a fun weekend filled with football, family, & friends!

THERE

Jenn, Andrea, Emily, and I had a fun girls' night last week at THERE Brookhaven celebrating Andrea's birthday. THERE is a new restaurant/bar that opened in Town Brookhaven and we thought it would be fun to try it out. The menu changes seasonally and the food and drinks are made to order. We ordered fried pickles with dill ranch sauce and guacamole & fresh chips for our appetizer. For dinner, I got a delicious mahi mahi cubano sandwich with a grit cake as a side. We really enjoyed our dinner and had a lot of fun catching up!

It was a fun girls' dinner at THERE celebrating Andrea's birthday!

Christmas in July

This post is a little late, since August is almost over. But in July my company had a fun day in the office called "Christmas in July." After lunch they set up a snow cone machine and had different flavor syrups to choose from. They called all the employees to the break room for a snow cone party!

After stuffing our faces with a few snow cones and catching up with other co-workers, we had a White Elephant gift exchange. Everyone that signed up to participate was told to buy an inexpensive, humorous, or re-gifted item and wrap it. We put all of our gifts in a pile and each drew a number of what order we went in. We would either open a new present or steal presents until the last person went. It was a lot of fun to open the gag gifts and see who ended up with what gift.

It was a fun afternoon at the office celebrating Christmas in July!

Weekend Recap- Martinis, Movies, & Noni's!

This weekend I stayed in Atlanta, relaxed, got to hang out with friends, and also celebrate my roomie's birthday early! Friday night we stayed in and Andrea's mom, grandma, brother, and boyfriend came over to our townhouse for dinner! I love Andrea's family and they make me feel like I'm part of the crew. :) We had such a fun night hanging out and catching up! Andrea made delicious homemade pimento cheese for an appetizer. Andrea's mom made a delicious pasta dish, pastry pinwheels, and a delicious lemon-strawberry trifle. My contribution was chocolate cake martinis! We wanted to make a fun cocktail and after searching online, Andrea and I decided martinis would be easy & delicious!

Chocolate Cake Martini

Ingredients
2 oz. chocolate cake vodka
1.5 oz creme de cacao
splash of half & half
chocolate syrup
crushed graham cracker crumbs

Directions
Dip the rim of your glass in milk or water and then immediatly dip into a small plate of crushed graham cracker crumbs. Take chocolate syrup and drizzle the inside of the glass. Pour the chocolate cake vodka, creme de cacao, and creamer into a cocktail shaker over ice. Cover and shake. Strain the cocktail into the glass to serve. Enjoy!

On Saturday, Andrea and I went to the movies to see Step Up Revolution in 3D! It was awesome and we loved all of the dances! We also enjoyed watching all of the So You Think You Can Dance people who were involved in the movie!

Later that night, a group of us went to Pizza Vesuvius for a delicious pizza dinner! It was really cute inside and our dinner was really good. We even found a hidden bar inside the restaurant... there was a bookshelf that was actually a secret door that led you into a cute bar that was decorated to look like the 1920s! It was really cool, we felt like it was prohibition and we found a speakeasy!

After dinner, we walked down the street to a bar called Noni's. It's a deli during the day and it turns into a bar at night. We all had a great time dancing and hanging out together!

Since the weather was beautiful on Sunday, I spent the afternoon at the pool reading The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks. Rachel gave it to me in the soak up the sun blog swap. I'm halfway through with the book and I love it so far! I'm going to try and finish the book soon because the movie with Zac Efron comes out on dvd at the end of this month and I haven't seen it yet. Next on my reading list is The Castaways by Elin Hilderbrand that I got from book swap partner, Amanda, and the Great Gatsby that my roomie, Emily let me borrow! What are you reading?

Low-Carb Cheesecake Recipe

I've been trying to eat healthier and watch my carbs, but I'm a big "sweets" fan and I've been missing my desserts. When I came across a few different recipes for low-carb cheesecake I decided to mix a few of them together to come up with an easy, low-carb/high protein guilt-free cheesecake! The recipe turned out to be delicious so I thought I would share! It only uses a few ingredients and it was fast and easy to make. Best of all, it tasted really good! I've been making protein smoothies for breakfast so I had protein powder in my cabinet, but if you don't have any don't worry about adding it. Also, the ingredients listed below are for a whole pie pan, but if you want to make it for just 1-2 servings you can half the recipe, and after mixing the ingredients, put in a smaller container.

Low-Carb Cheesecake Recipe

Ingredients

16 oz. fat free cream cheese

1 box sugar-free jello pudding- cheesecake or vanilla flavor

3/4 cup almond milk or skim milk

1 tbs cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 small pack stevia/splenda (optional)

1 scoop vanilla whey protein (optional)

Directions

Let cream cheese sit out for 20 min to make it easier to stir with other ingredients. Put all ingredients in a bowl and use a mixer to blend. Pour in a pie pan and let sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour. Serve with fruit and shaved almonds. Enjoy!

Six Flags over Georgia

Adam and I went to Six Flags over Georgia on Saturday! We got there when the gates opened and it started raining when we were in line for the first ride. But we waited it out until the rain stopped and we had a great rest of the day riding all of the coasters at the theme park! Some of our favorites were Goliath, Superman, Batman, Mindbender, Georgia Scorcher, Ninja, and the Georgia Cyclone.

I had so much fun- I felt like a little kid running from one coaster to another! Thanks Adam for going with me! I've lived in Atlanta for 5 years now and this was only the 2nd time I've been to Six Flags over Georgia since moving here. The last time I went was the first year I moved here and Adam also went with me then, along with Kath & Carey!

I'm glad Adam likes roller coasters just as much as I do! We had such a fun day together at
Six Flags and I'm glad it stopped raining so we could enjoy all of the coasters!
