On November 5th 2008 the South Hams CVS and the Volunteer Centre took the chance to offer those passing, a drop in centre. Although we have offices at Follaton House we thought a more central, drop in style would be a huge benfit to those who want to volunteer, look for volunteers or find out more about what we offer and can do for you. We hope to man the office at least once a month as a volunteer centre and also monthly as part of the CVS, so those looking for funding advice etc can also drop in and find out more.

Thanks to a generous welcome from Ivybridge, Volunteer Centre South Hams will open an enquiry point at the Watermark, Wednesday October 22nd. From 10am until midday in room 8

Kristine and Howard will be there, tea and coffee ready to welcome you. Our aim is to help you discover why volunteer, where, with whom, doing what and is it all as good as people say! Also if you run a group or club, we will help you find volunteers!

South Hams CVS managed a stand for the South Hams Migrant Workers Group. promoting and launching the new Migrant Workers Information Pack, a project that South Hams CVS has been working with.
