South University School of Pharmacy earns full 8-year accreditation renewal by the ACPE

The School of Pharmacy at South University was granted continued accreditation by the Accreditation Council on Pharmacy Education (ACPE). The continued accreditation is for eight years, the maximum allowed by the accrediting body, and is the result of the school’s scheduled ACPE self study and review in November of 2011.

Terrell Wescott was awarded a student silver ADDY for his mixed media campaign entry for the American Advertising Federation’s (AAF) regional competition, which included work from local AAF clubs in South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. Anesthesiologist Assistant students raise money to save lives in African operating rooms

Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA) students from South University have raised more than $1,000 to purchase pulse oximeters for operating rooms in Africa. The students, working through the nonprofit Lifebox Foundation (www.Lifebox.org), raised the money by collecting donations and selling identification badge clips at the American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants (AAAA) conference and to medical staff at Savannah-area hospitals.
