My mom has always encouraged me, though, that all things in life happen for a reason, and the hurdles are no reason to stop growing and learning.”

Changing circumstances means changing behavior

Alumna: Erika Wiggins
College of Business
Pursuing: Bachelor of Science, Healthcare Management
Anticipated Graduation: Fall 2011
Campus: Savannah

“One thing I’ve learned at South and I continue to learn is you can’t reshape life by staying on the same level. In order to change circumstances, you have to change the behavior and that kind of positive change will take things to the next, and hopefully, higher level.”

What do I want to make sure to accomplish today?

Alumna: René Pick
Bachelor of Science, Nursing
Alumnus: Class of 2009, College of Nursing
Campus: Tampa

“There are just bigger problems in the world than agonizing over a flat tire. Sometimes life reminds us to ask the real question – if tomorrow doesn’t come – what do I want to make sure to accomplish today?”

Doing what she was born to do

Alumna: Jolarni Silvio
Alumnus: Class of June 2007, College of Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Campus: West Palm Beach
Employment: Registered Nurse, St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach

“An advantage of South University was the small group of students for each hospital rotation. Eight students per professor meant we received the necessary support and training.”

Professional people person

Alumnus: Shomy Easow
Alumnus: Class of June 2008, College of Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Campus: Tampa
Employment: Registered Professional Nurse (RN), Tampa General Hospital
