Personal Finance Class

In February we will offer a 13-week course on personal finance that will focus on the practical application of handling money according to Biblical principles. This Tuesday night course from 7:00pm-9:00pm at our building will include one hour of DVD lecture and one hour of small group discussion; topics include savings, budgeting, reducing debt, and investing. The course begins on February 21st and the cost is $80 per family unit. Registration is now open. Please contact David Falke for more information.

International Lunches

Join us Sunday, February 26th for our monthly bring your own international luncheon in the Basement Auditorium at 12:30pm after church. Everyone is invited, especially anyone born outside of the United States or interested in mission and international ministry. Bring food from your country and enough for your family and a couple of extras as we will be sharing food from around the world. For more information, please contact Cherie Sullivan. Important Year-End Notice

Please do not file your 2011 income tax return until you receive a written acknowledgement of your contributions from the church (to be mailed out in January). Under the tax rules, you can lose the deduction of contributions over $250 if you file your tax return before receiving a receipt from the church. To be tax deductible in 2011, contributions must be received or postmarked by December 31st, 2011.

Holiday Service Schedule

Our Christmas Eve service will be held on Saturday, December 24th, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the meeting in the basement auditorium from 7:00-8:00 p.m. The Sunday morning meetings on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Children’s Ministry is canceled for both services.

Sunday School Class

You are invited to attend our upcoming Sunday School Class, “The Gospel According to Leviticus,” which will meet from 8:30-9:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings from October 30th to November 20th. The material will be drawn from Immanuel in Our Place: Seeing Christ in Israel’s Worship by Tremper Longman, which is available in the church bookstore. Harvest Carnival

Evangelism Seminar

Randy Newman will join us here at our building to teach and equip us to share the gospel with our families. Mark your calendars for Friday, September 16th, from 7:30-9:30 p.m., and Saturday, September 17th, 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. There is no cost for the seminar, so feel free to invite your neighbors and friends. Marriage Matters

Starting on May 1st, Lou Gallo will be teaching a class entitled You Can Change. The class will run for six weeks, from 8:30-9:45 a.m. in Room 202, ending June 12th (with a break for Memorial Day weekend). Requested reading for this class is You Can Change by Tim Chester, which is available in the church bookstore.

Also beginning May 1st, Seita Sakaguchi will be teaching a class entitled 2 Timothy. The class will run for six weeks, from 8:30-9:45 a.m. in Room 204, ending June 12th (with a break for Memorial Day weekend). Requested reading for the class is The Message of 2 Timothy by John Stott, which is available in the church bookstore.

Parenting Seminar

A parenting seminar will take place here at the building on Friday, March 17th, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., and Saturday, March 18th, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. There will be two sessions on Friday night and three sessions on Saturday, with a lunch break in the afternoon. 2009-2010 Financial Statement

Also beginning February 13th, David Hinders will teach a class entitled How Can I Be Sure I'm a Christian, and Help Someone Else Be Sure They Are a Christian? The class runs for four weeks, ending March 6th. Requested reading for the class is How Can I Be Sure I'm a Christian? by Donald Whitney, and is available in the bookstore.

Church Classifieds
