TechDays 2013 is taking place at Metropolis Antwerp this year in the week of March 4, 2013. Sparkles will be a Silver Partner during the 3-day conference and will be present with a booth to promote the upcoming training classes in 2013.

New training classes for March 2013

It will be a busy new year for Sparkles. Many new training classes will be added to the agenda. First added trainings for March 2013 are the Advanced Windows Security Master Class with Paula Januszkiewicz and the ALM 2012 training class with Pieter Gheysens. Extra training classess will be shortly announced on the training overview page.

New à-la-carte ALM training with VS11 (Beta/RC)

In August 2012 a new public ALM training is planned with the upcoming new release of Visual Studio. The full training consists of 3 days, but according to individual preferences and specific roles, people can also sign up for the individual days.

Sparkles @ Microsoft Techdays Belgium 2011

Pieter Gheysens will deliver a session in the ALM deep-dive track on April 28 at Techdays Belgium. The session is titled Build-Deploy-Test with Visual Studio Lab Management 2010.

Most companies don’t have dedicated test environments that are clean, easy to reset and similar to the production environment. This makes it very hard to test software applications. Visual Studio Lab Management 2010 allows you to define, configure and create complete test environments as needed. It can coordinate both physical and virtual environments, and comes with an incredibly powerful suite of effective tools that make managing environments simple and cost effective. In this session, you will be able to see the Lab Management workflow in action: we will define a test environment, identify a suite of (automated) tests for an application, set up a new automated build, deploy the application automatically in the test environment and run the (automated) tests. In the end we will take a look at the collected information through the different data collectors (Intellitrace, System Information, …). This session is geared towards developers, testers, architects, IT personnel and managers who want to see an in-depth, scenario-based demo of Visual Studio Lab Management 2010.
